  I just finished a rough cut of 1 of 5 convert miniDV tapes... the video in CS3 is dv ntsc 720x480i 29.97, 16:9 (avi type 2 dvsd)

  On my calendar tape1 I have about 17 minutes (excluding source 1 hour), with about 1 million scenes, many with cross dissolves, some clips 2 x speed, playing a bit in the opposite direction of reading. A couple "exported images (still images)" added to the project.   No title or other graphics yet.

  I have to do with the rest 4 magnetic strips and then start making a better cut (to end).

  (Note :) My hand 'mouse' has been cramping pretty good yesterday evening after doing this from 05:00 to around 02:00.

  I think maybe I should lose the cross dissolves - after I show this to my friend who got this stuff - (make easier cuts later), and make an avi type 2 file out of the 17 minute rough cut... and then do the same with the other rough cuts... so in the end I'll have about 5 min 17 clips to make the final with.

  Who is?  Then, I was able (if necessary) back to these 'scenes' if I must add something... but basically, I'll have much less chance to 'accidentally' move or change millions of scenes on a single calendar if I just gang all these things together for final assembly.

  The cross dissolves, I can just add by cutting and adding to the new unique clips 17 min...

  What do you think?

  If I do what I guess I basically to frameserve to CS3 to CS3?  How the hell do you do THAT?!

  A big consideration in the proposed workflow is handles. A bit ' like when the guest of the party, Mr. McGuire, whispered to Ben Braddock, "plastics." [The graduate, 1967]

  If you are the intermediate export (also consider the Lagarith Lossless CODEC), make sure you have either the EXACT Transitions, want, or have none and that you have cut enough vaguely that you will have adequate handles. If you add THE Transitions and change your mind, you will need to cut your handles and really tighten the two clips up to retrieve handles.

  When you perform rough cuts, I leave always a lot more images, I know I'll need. There is little worse than to have to cut a tight Clip, because there is no handles. Just a warning.

  If you want a bit of background, take a look at these pictures:

  

  A problem with an intermediate Export is to find the junctions between your Clips. Your eyes will feel like the mouse, all hand strabismus. If a hell of a lot more work, you might want to create a dry 01. Black Video, move between each of the rough cuts. Another method would be to create a section 01 Matte color of a very bright color, in order to identify these junctions and hit em fast. Just something to think about. Now, your manager may not be able to see that these, even if they will be put out of circuits, but with a little education, may be able to cross a bright green flash or flash black, while watching.

  Another idea would be to make two exports. It would be for the Director and have a time code added to that effect. You would have the same images, but without the effect code temporal. The Director could take note of the timecode, and then you would just plug that into your time code window to reach the point of reference. Don't forget - your copy of the file would NOT have the timecode effect - it would be clean.

  In addition, if you go with two products, the Director in DV - AVI read in WMP, VLC and MediaPlayer Classic, etc.. You could do your in Lagarith. If you make the DV - AVI deselect recompress.

  This also happens to my Pro keyboard Smart 9.7 iPad.   Here are the steps I have done on my own system, several months ago. I could not view PDF files in Firefox with Adobe Reader and installed Foxit.

  1. Closing of Firefox (file > button OR exit Firefox > exit)
  2. If you don't the have not already done so, uninstall Adobe Reader 9.4.5 using Windows start > settings > Control Panel > add or remove programs, click the item, click on delete. You may need to restart your system.
  3. Open Foxit in your list of programs Windows start > programs
     • in the menu of Foxit, click Tools > Preferences
     • Click File Associations and be sure "view IN browser" is checked 'Make default PDF Viewer' and click OK
     • Foxit Reader nearby (File > Exit)
  4. Launch Firefox
     • Open the Control Panel Applications (Tools > Options > Applications OR Firefox button > Options > Options > Applications)
     • type of the pdf in the search box; You should see "PDF Foxit Reader"
     • in the Action column, click on the arrow down to the right end
     • Choose "use Foxit Reader plugin for Mozilla (in Firefox).

• MacBook pro retina display (mid-2012) goes black
