Issue of digital field

I have several numeric fields in my form. I have problems to get the numbers in the correct format. By example, if I type in 5.00 & go to the field following la.00 get stripped & shows only a 5

I tried fixing it by changing the template of validation but NOTHING I try does not work... any ideas? Thank you

Hello

Looks like you are using a decimal field, try setting the display mode:

NUM {z, zzz, zz9.99}

Hope that helps,

Niall

  • Connect the digital field with Drop Down

    I have a numeric field for the zip code and a drop for the city.

    I want that when I write the postal code in the numeric field to automatically display the city drop down list.

    And even when I chose to drop down the list then show in the digital field (postcode)

    I have all that in Excel.

    Thank you

    Use dynamic properties.

    Start by importing the xml from your spreadsheet (you're on your own with who) excel. Assuming that each line is a city and a postal code, your xml code will look like this:

    SomeCity

    12345

    .

    .

    .

    (1) in the designer, go to file > new connection of data...

    (2) select the sample XML data and the file in Excel.

    (3) make good properties sure dynamics are enabled, tools > Options > Data Binding > show of dynamic properties.

    (4) select your fall down and open the field in the object Palette tab.

    (5) you will notice that the list items is green and underlined. Select it.

    (6) for items, select the line

    (7) for the text of the item, select the city

    (8) for the value of the item, select the zip code

    You now have your menu dropdown bound to the data in your Excel worksheet.

    Now, just a bit of coding (brace yourself), in the digital realm for your zip code, in the case of output put:

    theDropDown.rawValue = this.rawValue;

    and to theDropDown:

    thePostalCode.rawValue = this.rawValue;

    Now all you have to do is import xml into your form to perform.

  • Difficulty in getting the number of instances of digital field

    Hello

    I created a form on which a user can add / duplicate the subform.  This subform is located in an another subform.
    THUS, the hierarchy is like:

    1 subform

    2 subform

    Table with fields

    Remove button

    Add button

    Numeric field

    The digital field display the number of instances of subform 2.

    I selected the field and added the code:

    Subform2.instancaManager.count;

    But this does not at all. The field does not appear anything.

    The subform has a minimum number of 1. So in my logic, it should display 1. But I'm not a scripter at all... so frankly I think of her in a bad way.

    Can someone help me get this numeric field to calculate the subform2 instances? In a language dummy please :-)

    Hello

    Since the numeric field is outside Subform1, you have not provided a quite complete reference of the numeric field Subform2. For a description, see here: http://assure.ly/kUP02y.

    It should work in the case of calculating the numeric field:

    this.rawValue = Subform1.Subform2.instanceManager.count;

    If the subform did not have a minimum number, you would use the shortcut of instanceManager _ underscores:

    this.rawValue = Subform1._Subform2.count;

    The two options are JavaScript. I prefer to use the shortcut _ every time I work with the repetition of the proceedings.

    Hope that helps,

  • Validate the digital field - can be 10, 20 or 30

    I am using LiveCycle Designer ES (Version 8.2).

    I have a numeric field that can hold a 10, 20 or 30. It can also be empty, and I guess, a zero would be nice too.

    How can I accomplish this, since I'm a newbie here?

    Thanks for the comments.

    Hello

    If your entry is limited to only 10, 20 or 30, you can use a drop-down list instead of a numeric field.

    A drop-down list is good when you want to make sure that only user predefined values input and define the formats and connections.

    Implement the items in drop-down list in the object Panel and uncheck the box 'allow cistom entry. Go to the control panel link, and select the checkbox 'specify values. Assign a value of 10 '10', etc.

    You will be able to refer to the rawValue of the drop-down list script later, as you would with a numeric field.

    If you want to go with the digital field, you can set up a Javascript script in his output event:

    If (this.rawValue == 10 | this.rawValue == 20 | this.rawValue == 30)
    {
    do nothing
    }
    on the other
    {
    App.Alert ("invalid data entry: enter 10, 20 or 30");
    this.rawValue = null;
    }

    Good luck

  • Repaint issue with vertical field Manager.

    Hi all

    I have a verticalfieldmanager in which I am dynamic addition of different fields. I created a chat screen where, inside, I have a custom textfield and the VFM containing fields, being added dynamically. By default, focusing on optimization of resources remains to the first item added, even if I go on adding items.

    So I am moving the focus to the last item added and then back to textfield, after you add each item dynamically, until the vertical scroll of the last element added. But here when I try to scroll to the first item added, optimization of resources are not properly displayed either a small part of the element remains at the top of the optimization of resources, when I scroll to the top. I call invalidate on the optimization of resources after the addition of the element.

    Will you please tell me what needs to be done because it is a crucial issue. I enclose a picture showing the problem.

    Thanks in advance...

  • Synchronization of digital field barely SF

    Did anyone else out there of problems with numeric fields synchronization between Eloqua and SF? Basically,t he issue is that the field is not updated / communicate each other Eloqua to SF and SF to Eloqua. What I mean by this is that a numeric field that is updated in the SF will not come to Eloqua - Eloqua will say that there is a mistake it is a figure double (even if in SF, the field is set too without decimals). It goes the same for Eloqua, I create a numeric field in such described below in a form. I need to enter the number 3 and Eloqua capture this information but does not transfer this information to say that there is an error in SF.

    What the in this case? I opened a ticket with support of Oracle about a week ago and have not yet been answered, they asked me once if it's okay if my field was 3 or 3.00, which is really no help at all. Doesn't matter to me if it is 3 or 3.00 I want just the information to synchronize.

    Help, please!

    Hi, tkatic. I would like to follow on that for you. Could you please give me your SR number? Thank you.

  • Web Forms digital field - does not not decimals!

    We have created a web form of monster on a clients site. As it is, we had to install an API to process the data after its been generated by BC and modify it before sending it to the client. The client saw no reason for the fields which had nothing against them to be sent via notification workflow - and I agreed.

    Now, after all these other problems have been resolved, I discovered that all my fields 'number' cannot process a decimal and they rounded upwards or downwards. BC suggested I need to recreate the form and make them just all text strings.

    Not good enough. His EPIC with over 100 areas inside form. We, in good faith, read the instructions which can be found here: http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/478/bc_478.html?bc-partner

    This state 'number - a text box must have a number entered in it '. No note on usage DO NOT for decimals!

    The confusing thing is, it allows you to enter the decimal point of the front, even displays the confirmation page of the web form correctly with decimals. But when he creates a case in British Colombia, it rounds the numbers. If it is to this end step test we discovered the issue

    Someone has ideas about the fastest ways to recreate this entire form?

    I submit a support ticket and told to go to the old user interface and then just change the type of the fields. But when we try to change a form field of 'number' to 'chain', it shows the message "WARNING: updated field successfully but do not replace such as field has combined the values type.» Then they said:

    C opy this specific form change the type of the form fields and then remove the old webform and rename this a copy with the first name in online form. The copy option is available under the link I provided you.

    However, this means that we need to change *all* fields, then get all the areas's ID and insert it in the javascript code. Very very time consuming

    (So has) everyone be warned and B) someone at - it a shortcut?

    Thank you!!

    Hi there, this has been one thing for a long time, a lot of people have said, and even in a FAQ somewhere on the new forums here.

    Use text fields, support says use of text fields. It is a data field that is not limited to text characters.

    No other other ways then delete and remake I'm afraid.

  • Add zeros to a non-digital field

    Hello

    I have an application that currently does not validate a field, and the user can enter any string on this specific area. The customer wants me to write a view to provide information of a child table that uses the free format as a key field for join.

    Example, the field is free-form, but we would expect something like "0000001-AB", but users are inputing 1' or ' 001 - AB'. " The customer wants to see these cases be shown (and joined) as '0000001 - AB'. The format is 7 digits + '-' + 2 digit code.

    I would like to know, how can I display on a view, since most of my files are ' 1 'or ' 001 - AB'. But there are others with things crazy like ' 1 + 2 + 3 + 4' and these cases give me an error of "invalid number" since I use TO_NUMBER function so far.

    Thank you!

      5     SELECT '1+2+3+4' FROM dual)
      6  SELECT val, LPAD(val, 10, '0')
      7  FROM t;

    001-AB     0000001-AB
    1+2+3+4    0001+2+3+4

    It won't help those who is really blocked upward, but ones that are close should be out right :-)

  • Change the digital field of legend

    I have a form at least 2 boxes option named type1 and type2 and on 2 different pages 2 fields of digital type NF [0] and NF [1], the binding of NF is global.

    If I select the radiobutton type1 then legend of NF [0] and n [1] should change to 'Type1' and visa versa

    I have the following JavaScript in the change of the radiobuttonlist method:

    if (this.rawValue == 1)

    {

    xfa. Form.Form1.test.nf.Caption.Value.Text.Value = 'type1';

    }

    else if (this.rawValue == 2)

    {

    xfa. Form.Form1.test.nf.Caption.Value.Text.Value = 'type2';

    }

    This changes only the legend of NF [0], how can I change the legend of NF [1]?

    Best wishes

    Simone

    You can change with the names that you have, but the syntax of the expression is quite confusing:

    xfa.resolveNode("xfa.form.form1.test.NF[1]").caption.value.text.value = 'type2 '.

    If you rename the field to a unique name, then you can set it as the first:

    XFA. Form.Form1.test.NFnewName.Caption.Value.Text.Value = 'test2 '.

    Note that you don't need the xfa.form at the beginning of the expression... then to simplify it:

    Form1.test.NFnewName.caption.value.text.value = 'test2 '.

  • Show/hide subform based on the value of digital field

    Hi all

    I created my first form in LiveCycle Designer, but jammed with coding. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    In the attached form, based on the value of field digital "number Total points" (calculated from the user of entry), I want two things to happen.

    The 'field' text should display different text depending on the points,

    • Less than 10 points is "beginner."
    • 10-14 is "intermediate."

    and just like that...

    If the total number of points is less than 10, 'Course for beginners' and 'Language' DropDownList must appear.

    Is there a way to do this? I tried posting 'If' 'else' statement, but it does not work. I looked in the previous discussions, but cannot find that anything will be based on the numeric value.

    You are looking for assistance.

    When you add the PLS_INTEGERs 2, the result is a PLS_INTEGER.  The amount you're trying to do is greater than the maximum value that can contain a PLS_INTEGER, that's why you get the error.

    If you change the assignment statement to

    n: = CAST (p1 AS NUMBER) + p2;

    you will not get this error.

    If you suspect that you will get anywhere near the limit, you should not use PLS_INTEGERs.

  • issue of digital painting

    Make a comic. When you perform a digital painting, why people color all in blue before colouring with other colors?

    This is a pencil sketch technique used by the designers of old school comics.  It is called "no photo" or "no-repro" blue.

    Blue non-photo is a particular shade of Blue , which can not be detected by the cameras of graphic arts. This allows layout editors to write notes to the printer on the print flat (the image that must be photographed and sent to print) which will not show in the final form. More than this, it allows the artists to sketch lines without having to erase after inking.
