  I use Illustrator CS4 on a Windows PC, written in JavaScript. I know I can't call an action via JavaScript in my version/language but I can load the script of an action. I call some scripts of my action set using the Insert menu item in the action menu. However even if I record actions with scripts in Illustrator playlist does not maintain scripts in the action game. I'm doing something wrong? Is there a work around?

  Unfortunately, this has been a problem for years and there is no sign that adobe has no intention to fix it. The only current solution with which I am familiar is to simply add the script to the action whenever you open illustrator... It's a pain, I know, but better to be part of the action, then by calling the script manually.

  Another option is to create a shell script that will run your action, then when the action is complete, you can run the script in your shell script.

• How can I make all my actions run automatically, without dialog boxes that appears after each step?

  My question is in what regards Actions. I have my Options of accelerated reading the value, and I unchecked the option 'Allow Recording tool', but every time I run a certain set of actions, a dialog box is displayed for each step and I have to press return to continue after each step. In my mind, which reduces the value of action in the first place. Any ideas on how to solve this problem? Thank you very much!

  In the control panel actions are two boxes next to each action. The first is a check mark and the second looks like one of three things: a red box, a gray or an empty box. If they red or grey area is there then the dialog boxes will be displayed. Turning point of this area on 'stop' should fix your problem.

  I need allow students to click on a smart form for only four times and each time sporting an audio to them, and then in the last attempt, show them a picture (which is invisible) + with another set of audio.

  Apparently Captivate does not support this.

  You can build this interaction using a user custom variable to track the number of times where the user has clicked the smart shape and a conditional Action that checks if the variable user before playing the audio.

  It would look like this:

  IF MyClickCountVariable is less than 3

  THEN

  Play the first audio file

  Increment, MyClickCountVariable (or if you're not on Cp7 you can use Expression: MyClickCountVariable = MyClickCountVariable + 1 to increment)

  ON THE OTHER

  Read other audio file

  Display image

  I'm about to pull out my hair... my actions are incredibly slow.  An action that I use all the time takes about 15-20 minutes to complete, where it is used to take only a few seconds.  I use CS3 on Vista... ideas?

  First of all, you need to understand why you are missing a plugin that was installed with Photoshop.

  I use CloudClient 3.4 against vCAC 6.1.1

  I have several machines that I need to change the lease.  I worked my way up to understand that the command I need to run is:

  VRA provisioneditem action run - da813a6e-af7a-46b7-a528-36f092c40c8a--action id 'Lease change' - properties "expires = MM/DD/YY"

  When I run this command, I get:

  CloudClient > vra provisioneditem action run - da813a6e-af7a-46b7-a528-36f092c40c8a--action id 'Lease change' - properties ' Expires = 01/02/2016 ".

  Error: The input provided resulted in a REST exception: unknown field: expires. The HTTP status is 400 - BAD_REQUEST.

  I need help with what put behind - properties.  Which player (s) lease expiry accessories?

  1. What should I put in the field of the properties?  (Name of property?  Is there a certain format of date?)
  2. Can I place more than one machine via a single command?  I guess I'd be separated by commas them and wrap everything in quotes?

  OK... so a bunch here.

  Well you use Cloud Client for one, but here's more information to help you in your thoughts and your processes.

  1. If you don't know how already, be sure to know how to use Firebug or Chrome Tools (F12) to capture a request in the vRA. This gives you postData it for the makeRequest, which tells you exactly how the property keys are defined.  (for the most part... There is an exception with a couple of those who are 'number' format...) "I think that memory was one of them.)

  

  2 since you have Cloud customer, you can actually GET requests that have already been made and see what looked like the demand... (you can get the ID of the request of vRO inventory, a client of cloud list, the capture of makeRequest above and other means)

  Attention with the machineID, it isn't really the right one for the "resource" put into service... for this we need of the resourceRef.id (which can also be seen in the application).  You will find that all the provider part of the application are essentially the part of the query properties, but many of them are provided by default.  The only one you must satisfy to this call to action is provider-ExpirationDate.

  Nope.  But you can have a flow work vRO iterative (and asynchronously) called a change in Client Cloud by machine lease.  So you can have an array of machines, selected by the user or another (if you have ASD), and run the lease change on each machine in the table programmatically.  Actually to make * a successful thing *, but do it several times to apply. (Edit: or you could send a list of machines in a shell script and iterative browse each, but I would steer you away from this type of methodology if I could... preferring to settle the iteration of the orchestration in vRO.)

  The purpose of the button and DA can be combined in a javascript function or in the DA himself.

  How this can be achieved in the DA itself is:

  Question: What is the best way to get a tip action to execute only once during the lifetime of an execution?

  My script: I have a project with 80 slides in there to learn. Slide 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, I use onEntry event to perform actions advanced designed for each of these numbers. Given that users are allowed to go forward and backward slide, slide 10-100 event are executed several times, depending on how much time users visit these specific slides. My question is, what is the most effective way to ensure that a tip action is executed only once. Say a user reached slide 10 and advanced action "foo10" is executed. If this user has decided to return to slide 10, I don't want to foo10 advanced action to be executed again.

  My solution: I would create Boolean variables for each of the advanced actions. foo10 ... foo100. If the corresponding var bool is false, do not run the action, run another action assigned.

  Question: What is the best way to get a tip action to execute only once during the lifetime of an execution?

  If it was a success (for an interactive object) event, you could disable this object with the same action as the advanced conditional action. Using the system variable LastVisitedSlide will probably exclude not all possible situations. A Boolean variable is probably the best choice. Since you're on 9 Captivate, make sure to use shared instead of shares advanced actions, you will save time (and the size of the file).

• Run the Photoshop Action of the bridge on the raw files without creating a folder JPG

  I created a Photoshop Action that resizes and compresses an image (at 800 pixels at 24% quality). I want to run that Action of bridge on a selection of raw files. I have to do this, the bridge, select the images and select "tools-Photoshop-Image Processor". "In the window options 'Processor of Image', I put the folder to save the images processed, check the ' Action run" check box and select the Action but I have to check one of the 'file Type' (I check '"Save as JPG' with ' quality: 1" ") (it will run only if a"file Type"is selected), then click on 'run '. It then performs the Action on each image and I get the desired resolution file reduced and reduced the size of the file. The problem is that there also creates a JPG subfolder and creates another set of files also to the reduced resolution but the file sizes are larger than the game created by the Action.

  How can I run the Action without creating the subfolder containing the extra set of files whose size size JPG?
