cm 1017 MFP can not get install under Windows 7
I updated from Xp to Windows 7. I managed to install the printer manually driver but I can not the scanner or software to install. I get a message "cannot install this software using the'run as... '. "command. The installation cannot continue until this is resolved.
Requires a follow-up: click Cancel to exit this software installation. Sign out and then sign in as a user with administrator privileges. (Contact your system administrator for more information) If there is no administrateu system, ask the primary user of this computer installation software. "Restart the installation by removing and re - insert the installation CD.
And then he said:

I'm the only person using this computer and have full administrator rights. I used the installation disk of Vista reasoning that he got as much chance as the XP one. I did a complete audit before buying the new software using the "compatibility Windows 7" program. He reported that everything was OK. that there was some updated files at HP. I have not found them yet. Can someone suggest a work around.
I ended up working on it for me. The problem was the "User Account Control". By disabling it and restarting windows, I was able to install all the necessary programs and drivers. I installed the disk 'Vista' and everything went well. I hope that this help all users who are facing similar problems.

Make sure you have Windows Defender active:
Open Windows Defender by clicking on the button start
, clicking all programs, and then click Windows Defender.Click on tools and then click Options.
Under the administrator options, select or clear the check box use Windows Defender and then click Save.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.Do you have any other type of antivirus installed on your computer? What other security products are installed on your host computer (anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-spam, firewall, etc.)?
These can interfere and stop Windows Defender from work. I would try and disable the other product temporarily and see if Windows Defender starts.When you enter the Services (services.msc), the Windows Defender service applet is listed for the automatic start mode? This is shown as disabled, then it never starts.
If it is shown as currently stopped (with automatic or manual startup mode), can manually start you it?You have errors where the viewer in the application log dealing with Windows defender? If so, then that can give you a clue as to what is perhaps the problem.
If please reply back and let us know the results of your tests.

Can not get the latest Windows 7 security updates
you want to say thank you in advance to anyone who could help me with this problem. I was not able to install the new updates of security, and I don't want to leave my computer in a vulnerable state, so any help is super duper enjoyed.
I have a desktop running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Service Pack 1. I bought the parts of the computer separately, so it did not come with a pre-installed Windows OS.
Since about two months ago (when I installed Windows), I was never able to find the updates by using Windows Update. It crashes just on the "check updates" screen I have yet to get error messages, it crashes just on this same screen, with the bar that goes from left to right.
After a week or two, I noticed that Windows has not been activated, and all I had to do was re-enter the product key. Now that Windows has been activated, I tried to look for updates again, same thing, it of just always looking for updates without results.
In the Windows Update window, it says:
Final check of updates: never
Updates have been installed: never
You receive updates: for Windows only
I have some important updates, the value "Install updates automatically (recommended)" every day at 03:00.
I have Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320, status: success, installation Date: 17.8.2016 (the same day I installed Windows)
2 updates installed: KB976902 (installed on November 21, 2010) and KB2534111 (installed on August 17, 2016)
I searched the internet for possible solutions to the problem, and that's what I've tried so far:
I tried troubleshooting Windows update with the tool in the Control Panel, it hanged on "Check for updates online", so not much luck with that.
Scanned with Avast Antivirus computer a couple of times, has never found a virus.
I downloaded the WindowsUpdateDiagnostic tool and tried, I got the following:

Registration for the service is missing or damaged fixed

I tried to download and install KB3172605 from Microsoft Download Center update, I had read that the update was to make the search for updates in Windows Update faster. Download was successful. How long can it take to find 100 updates + I need help from Windows Update? A long time I've tried have Windows Update check for updates was like 10 hours, without results. Is it worth trying to leave to search for days even? Also can I disable my firewall and antivirus during this time, or is it too risky? I am reluctant to do it, because I SLEEP in the same room as my computer is in (and the cpu fan can get really loud).
One thing that I thought about just today is that I always shut down my computer at night. Since updates are planned to install at 03:00 in the night, interrupting this process by stopping the computer down every night? Should I try to simply put it to sleep instead, for a few nights?
We appreciate once again, if anyone can suggest what to do in this situation. Responses from anyone who has had the same problem and managed to resolve it might also be useful!

I am installing ESX 3i (trial of tree) on my Compaq P4, 2.8 Ghz. once machine with the exception of the EULA I get error this product can not get install on the hardware because of compatibility issues. I tried to find the HAL for production, but I could not find.

I don't think that update 4 will make a difference. If you are running lspci Pei ide module is listed for the device? You can also search the forums for ICH4. I remember someone else to try an ICH4 controller and not being not able to do work.
