  So I created an app for Blackberry and it works 100% in the Simulator... But when I try to copy the application on my physical device and install it using the .jad file, I get the error 'failure of Downlaod 907 invalid COD file not found' every time that... It won't install. But when I use the Blackberry "Rock FIle Manager" app and use its functionality of COD Installer application installs fine... Also, when I use the 'Create-A-JAD' program to create a .jad file from the file and then .cod file replace the build with the Create-A-JAD a .jad file and then install the app, it works...

  you could try to unpack cod (its actually a zip file that contains the subsidiary COD), maybe it helps.

  We have a requirement in which, you must change the jad file, after the cod file is generated.

  But when I try to do is not able to read the newly added params to MIDlet.getAppProperty() . He can read the jad attributes that were there in the jad file before creating the cod file.

  Apparently it only works if we install the Jad with Javaloader file. Having an installation OTA of the Jad file works.

  -First of all, had installed jdk-1_5_0_14-win, BlackBerry_JDE_4.6.0, j2sdk-1_4_2_18-win, Desktop manager 4.6

  -Open BB JDE, create a new workspace

  -Add a project HelloWorldDemo.jdp file (located in the sample folder)

  -Debug the application in the Simulator (9000-JDE) without any error

  -Construction of the project and generate the .axl and .cod files

  -Try to install this app (HelloWorldDemo.cod) in my device with error

  All of a sudden the JDE generates a COD that line when renamed. ZIP can be extracted in several files of COD...

  I was not able to properly install my application via OTA or Desktop Manager. I tried to leave such original COD file, I tried to extract the COD file, I have reviewed the JAD file and everything seems OK. The result was generated 100% by the JDE (I use v4.5).

  Why the JDE arouses my COD file this way and how I am doing on the deployment of it?

  I have added a few additional images for my project in the same way that I was going to a file of code... should I create resource files to store these images instead?

  case of theIn cod of the result file is larger than 64 KB, it will be divided many (so-called 'sibling') files of cod and encapsulated in a single file of large cod, what format is the format of the zip file.

  If you want to install this desktop application, you don't need to unzip the files of cod brother.

  Just use your signed file of cod and alx with BB Desktop Software file.

  If you want to install your application via OTA, rename your cod to zip file, extract all the content and delete the zip file.

  Place all files in cod brother and jad file in a folder.

  Make sure that you have set correct MIME types.

  JAD: text/vnd.sun.j2me.app-descriptor
  COD: application/vnd.rim.cod

  You can add image files to your project and compile them with your code in the cod file.

  BlackBerry 10 platform does not use the .cod files, it uses the .bar files. If the WebWorks 10 BlackBerry SDK builds those. If you want to generate for the Platform Java BBOS .cod files, you will need from old tools. If you go to the site of the BlackBerry developers, you will see a series of icons of the platform along the bottom of the black banner. The BlackBerry OS it will take you to another selection where you can choose to HTML5, Java or Theme Studio. I'm including this description because there is documentation and other resources specific to these platforms there as well. You'll want to know how to get there.

  I downloaded the latest version of the SDK of BlackBerry WebWorks for Smartphones (Mac version) to my laptop. I am able to zip/compilation/sign my application in a COD file. However, when I try to load the app on my BB device using javaloader, I get the following error: "error: file is not a valid Java code file.

  The version of WebWorks package manager: bbwp version 2.2.0.15
  The device is a BB Curve 9330 running version 6.0 (v6.0.0.524, platform 4.4.0.438)

  If this combination will allow me to deploy on the device? This combo generates a BB 7.0 application?

  A test, we tried to load a COD file created on a PC, using bbwp version 2.0.0.18, and we were able to load with this version of the SDK.

• Code signing is no longer works, JAD file not produced when signed manually

  For some reason, Code signing all of a sudden no longer does anything when selected in the IDE.

  I used the 4.2.1 IDE

  I am now using IDE 4.6.0

  The problem started when I was with IDE 4.2.1 - just out of the blue, code signing would be does not work AT ALL.

  Using the new IDE 4.6.0 now I can manually start code signing and get a signed end COD file, but no JAD file is produced - which is essential for the facilities of the OTA.

  How to make it works again right?

  While a review once more, I found a single entry in the project properties to "always active project", selected and now it generates the JAD file and the signature tool appears correctly.  Manually, select the project as being active does not work.  Maybe it's a bug.

  I'm working on 3 different projects of BlackBerry and I noticed that, for some reason, I can't generate a. File of cod in the folder of the project for only 1 of them.

  I select the project, right click and press Build Project

  I select the project, right click and press file ALX generate (which works fine)

  I was able to solve this problem by creating a new workspace and moving project files (and not the projects themselves) to the new folder.

• Generated JAD file lists the strange COD files

  I use BB JDE 6.0.0. and it generates a JAD file for the project. The problem is that it lists the COD files, which are not used. I pasted the contents of the JAD file below. COD generated file is AstralEffects.cod, but there is no file AstralEffects - 1.cod or AstralEffects - 2.cod.

  How can I remove these COD files are not used in the JAD file? I tried to remove them manually, but then I got ' 907 invalid COD: impossible to import the ZIP file. I'm trying to find a way to change the JAD of BB JDE 6.0.0 file, but I can't find an option like that. So, how can I change the generated JAD file?

  Once you rename the original to the extension ZIP and unzip, ther original COD there not more, right? You should deploy all of the files that I unzipped from the aggragate COD.

  You must ensure that you do not use any other font on the page. You can use several fonts but not missing fonts.

  There is probably a box/image/text that you forgot to change the font.

  Be sure to use web fonts that are in your font library.

  What type of bar code is? If it is not a 3-of-9 an then the file requires special rights in order to update its value using the player.

  It is possible that the authors of the file did not apply these rights, that is why it does not work for you.
