codecs and .avi files

Hi, I posted a question yesterday on .avi and there was some useful answers. I installed GSpot and it tells me that the video file CODEC is MJPG/Motion JPEG, a digital camera Olympus Pen EPL1, and there is no required CODEC on the audio file. He said then the MJPG CODEC is installed on my computer, then why when I import the file into the first Elements 9, it renders very bad quality?

Concerning

For the predefined project, you can go to the toolbar at the top of the main editing screen and look at Edit > properties for the project, at least that which was moved in PrE 9.

When CODECS are installed properly in the system, and they are those who pre can use, the program will use with the highest priority for the import. It is usually the last installed. Export/share (MJPEG is rarely used here), we got a drop-down list, which will be available in Advanced and compressor or similar syntax, but the exact location may vary by format, and also all the CODECS aren't available, there still according to the chosen format.

MJPEG, to not more than one of these two. If one has a MJPEG CODEC, installed from utility disk from the camera (could be separate install, with the driver or included it editing software), they should not need to install others, such as the camera mfgr. has optimized the contained, usually with the CODEC used by the control.

As you have the MJPEG CODEC installed, I would look first in the match between the screening of the project and source files. If there is still a gap, then hit Enter to restore the timeline or parts of it, should get a good smooth reading - Redline turns green.

Check for a first report, offset, and then we can move a few steps.

Good luck

Hunt

PS - I'm a big fan of the ONLY installation that the exact CODEC when required and NOT only install CODECS, that can be found. Keep his computer as clean, is it possible, is paramount.

  • Reduced quality of .vob and avi files

    Hi guys

    I need help please.

I'm working on a version of adobe elements 10 on a new macbook pro lion trail.

    No problem application installation.

When I import video in vob to dvd or avi format, the quality of the video is extremely reduced, there is no line black white, no breaks, just low quality.

On the low right side, the application tells me it's what we call consistent.

When I play the same video in vlc on a mac or on my pc, the video works fine without any problems and the picture is clear.

I tried the things suggested to support:

    1 rendering

    2. check the fps are the same, the original video is 25 frames per second

3 tried to use application to convert vob to mp4 at all different levels of quality by using the external program (wondershare converter ultimate for mac video)

Elements looks like an excellent program, closest to the magix I used to run on my pc, but the problem at the moment, it is that the quality is reduced.

    Is there a codec problem?

Avi and vob files are not recognized by quicktime.

Please let me know as soon as possible

    Thank you

    Simon

The preview window is not intended to be used as a judge of the quality of the image. The resolution is normally reduced somewhat because the computer is much more than a simple display when you preview an effect.

There is a life high of qiality for preview or normal (I think that right clciking on the photo or one of the parameters) try the superior quality

Faster computer, video card, and more memory, the better will be the preview even if not rendered.

    Also try full-screen preview.

The important thing is the quality of the final product. Is that what this poor too in your case?

  • Codecs and MP4 files.

First of all, what is a codec exactly?

When I try to convert a file Mp4 WAV it tells me this (we'll use EA for example.):

This file C:\Documents and Settings\Penny\My Documents\mp4\Emilie fall - 306.mp4, cannot be imported, please install the correct codec first. If files can be read on your computer, probably Sansa Media Convert does not support this format, either the file is corrupted.

I know that it supports Mp4 files... I would be very grateful if someone could help me.

The technology is certainly not my favorite for this reason things. It can all be so confused...

Now, I see the picture you are trying to paint.  You try to convert a video to flash (flv) to display on the Sansa.

There are two things for you.  First of all, what tools to your Toolbox?  If you have a successful conversion depends on the codecs necessary to match the video source with the version of destination of your choice.

Close the MSC.  Download the CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack) and install it.  It is a whole digital tools for your video conversion tasks.

Then try something different, possibly convert it to avi before running the target through the Sansa Media Converter.

If you download AnyVideoConverter (there is a free version), you can try different output formats until you get a successful result.  The STROKE output goes in the SCM.

If you have a registered version of Flash Professional, it comes with Adobe Media Encoder, which you can use to create FLV files. The following article should help

    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/flash/QuickStart/video_encoder.html

If you do not have Flash Professional, there are other encoders that you can use.  Riva FLV Encoder works quite well on the AVI, MPEG, Quicktime and WMV. View the online help for a list of supported codecs.

You probably can't. AVI is a container, not a format; Some reviews require a codec that is not available for Mac OS X.

  • Windows Media Player for Vista, does not play my avi files and says he has a codec error?

Came across this problem trying to put an AVI in powerpoint presentation for the school. I don't know how this happened or how to fix the error. The error indicates that windows media player is not the right codec to play the video. However, when I sent it myself and opend it upwards on another computer, which doesn't have powerpoint, it plays very well.

I did some research as to what a codec for windows media player, that's what code and decodes the video compression. However, when I tried to download the appropriate codec file, there is nothing. Not even useful workaround solutions.

In addition, went and downloaded quicktime and it could not read the video either.

Any help or ideas would be greatly apreciated. Thank you!

    Hi DaisyReaper,

Are you able to play .avi files?

You can use your favorite search engine to download and install the latest codec for Windows Media Player. Subsequently, check if you are able to read .avi files.

Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • How to convert video files in avi files 3pg need a kind of codecs etc.

I am trying to transfer my video files 3pg by converting avi files to copy on this new player mp3; in the instruction book, which says that if there is no problem converting them, iwould need to download additional codecs to take in charge all the multimedia files. How do you do that?

    Hello

What operating system is installed on the computer?

You don't need codecs for the avi files to convert to be played on the player, if you need to read the files on the computer, then you may need to download codecs from the internet.

You can use your favorite search engine to download codecs and use.

The audio or video file can be converted to a file type that your device can play and then copied to your device. If it cannot be converted (or you don't want it to be converted), you can always choose to copy the file on the device, but you will not be able to play.

    Hello Jorstar1,

Thank you for your message.  Windows Media Player 11 supports .avi, but compression can dictate whether he will play or not.  This is very probably a Codec issue, you can perform a websearch for a Codec that will play any avi compression.
Please let us know if it did or did not help to resolve this problem.
