• How the PATH environment variable longer?

  Hello

  I use Windows Vista Business.  Lately, I just installed the beta of Intel Parallel Studio and found that my path variable ran out of space.  Internet research concluded that there cannot be more than 1024?
  It is too little for me to welcome all directories program that I installed, and thus some programs no longer work correctly.
  I wonder if there-
  (a) is a way I can expand the size of the Path system variable?
  (b) add another variable which can take some Path variable values so that I do not violate the limitation of 1024.

  The PATH environment variable has a fixed limit of 1023 characters can be used. It doesn't seem to be a way to extend this. Other environment variables have a higher limit, which can be useful.

  Hey, so I tried to run a Java program through the console but I got an error that says:

  ERROR: JAVA_HOME is not set and no "java" command could not be found in your PATH.

  Please set the JAVA_HOME variable in your environment to match the installation location of java.

  So I edited the variable path: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0\bin\java.exe and the JAVA_HOME variable to: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0\bin\java.exe and I also tried to use jre8 instead of jdk1.8, but the program still did not run. Already, I went on the java Web site and the site Internet said the same thing about what to do so I ask here see if someone knows how to do this. I already know how to change system variables, but I'm doing something wrong with the path and the JAVA_HOME or y at - it a bug or something?

• Actions and Variables are duplicated when I create the new model project

  My organization uses a standard model for our courses.  In this model, I added a few variables and advanced actions to enable to the learner to customize the course a bit and support our "test-out" option

  What I found however, is that when I create a new project of this model that all stocks advanced and variable are... reproduce some several times.

  And ideas on how to make this stop?

  Unfortunately, this is a known issue.  I pointed out about it here:

  As far as I know, the problem persists even in Captivate 9 If you create a template that has advanced Actions, and these actions are used by no slides in this model.  When you create a file CPTX of this model, Variables and advanced Actions are duplicated by about the same number of times that the advanced initial Action is used.

  You can test this by creating a simple project with two blades, a variable and a Standard Action that affects this variable with values. Define the event on slide enter on the second slide to run the Standard Action. Save the project as a model CPTL and then use this model to start another project CPTX file.  When you check the list of Variables and advanced Actions you will find that there is a duplicate of each.

  I'm trying to install Oracle on my laptop and get the following error message resulting in installation hault.

  However, this will cause a path exceeds the maximum allowed length that allows the operating system.

  Restart Setup after correcting the value of environment variable.

  According to the link above, the maximum length of the PATH environment variable is 2048/8192 characters. Apparently the length has been increased to 2048 from Windows XP SP2. Your current path is about 1200 characters that is less than the limit of the OS.

  The Oracle installer is incorrect about the PRVF-3929 error message? Or if the length of the path environment variable is not the real problem? Maybe you can try temporarily shorten the path and add the full pathname after the installation of Oracle.

  You should be able to modify the path as follows:
  From the desktop, do a right click my computer, and then click Properties.
  In the System Properties window, click the Advanced tab.
  In the Advanced section, click the Environment Variables button.

  Using Windows 7 Professional? If the error message occurs even with a short path, then maybe there something else trigger this error, as the antivirus or other security software.

  On a windows 2003 Server SP2 a program does not start when the PATH environment variable is longer than 1023 characters

  I have a similar limitation on windows XP, but the limit seems to be 2047

  I found a link that talks about this kind of limitation, but nothing that has a list of the limitation of path on the Windows platform environment several.  This limitation is resolved by a patch?

  Have the you wired as an attachment?  Using my schema, you can calculate the current flowing through the pot based on the fall of the tension in the pot

  4V / 10Kohm = 0.0004

  Kirchhoff's current law, we know that the same current flows through the circuit so now we can calculate the leg below the wall, based on the current and the fall of desired voltage across the resistance

  1V / 0.0004 A = 2.5 K Ohm

  My scheme maintains the current flowing through the circuit of constant, so the voltage divider must never change.  Assuming a linear pot, you will get a swing of such linear voltage as measured at the wiper.  If you wired the pot, a different way, then more then likely, you change the total resistance of 5V ground that would have the common effect that would effect the tensions.

  1 re-installing/repairing software will not fix hardware issues.

  2. the operating system upgrade is not the way to solve computer problems that can be carried forward.

  3 1. If you use Norton, you should disable Norton inviolable Protection before using System Restore.

  You always add the connection at the end of the full URL string, regardless of what contains the URL.

  The connection string is stripped by the treatment of Blackberry so that your host be confused by it.  The connectin string is used by the BlackBerry to determine what BlackBerry connection path will be used for the connection.

  BTW, this is '; '. deviceside = true/false", not"peripheral", which could explain part of your problem.

  Have you installed the latest drivers for your pad? There are a lot of driver downloads for windows, iPad etc.

  Maybe you need the correct driver for your IPad and you will then be able to change the drive letter...
