The guy on the phone said less than $30, then another guy yelled minimum $50. In any case, I decided to buy keyboard logitech plugin. Everything went very well connect the keyboard. I was able to type my password without problem. Then I opened word and I had to hold each button a second or two before the letter. It's the same program I've tried, including online. Logitech has replaced the keyboard after trying with telephone & online. The story is the same with the replacement. Does anyone have ideas for a fix for this? Either get the keyboard to work or a fixed address on the original keyboard? Thank you!

  I'm afraid it does. Your coffee damaged keyboard interferes with the external keyboard. To stop the intervention you need to unplug or replace it. There's no other way.

  Laptop HP 4540 S, Win7 64 bit.  No error msg.  Removed battery and dried up all the liquid with absorbent paper.  Removed the bottom panel, so it can dry at night.  Any other ideas before I turn it on tomorrow?

  I have it rincer rinse with plenty of water, takes off all keys and them rinsed or dried. They all feel good. Use an air hose and blew the 'stuff '. Left in an oven dry very low temp for several hours. Now there are no signs of liquid, but nothing works. When I plug it into the USB port, it looks for and loads the driver, so that he knows the keyboard exists. I have a led of led on on the numeric keypad enter but I can't seem to turn off. Another light on the lock indicator F, but I can't be a stop. But not a single key will work.

  [Solved] Earlier I have resolve my problem. I try a lot of crazy things to do work - focused on google and duckduckgo. So my laptop 'understand' the charger after:

  1. I remove the battery and unplug the power source.
  2. I remove RAM;

Withdraw OK, but it is cleared.  I found a source used CD players, but can not find one that starts.  Hitachi DFT cannot find them and Dell Diagnostics identifies but says that the disc has no data.  Same thing for the Windows Installer disks.  Readers appear correctly on the BIOS, but do not start.  Ive tried several (dell P/N list).   I have a spare sysboard which performs in the same way.  What Miss me?

  What to say; the coffee spilled on the laptop and any fluid is not really good for an internal parts especially for the motherboard.

  I have no idea what part exactly damaged by spilled coffee, but it looks like a part of the motherboard is affected. Perhaps is the electronic power supply defective?

  You are lucky, your laptop still works except keyboard after water spill. I work as an engineer at Hp computer service, and clients sometimes bring us computers completely dead after water, juice, coffee spill. Heh.

  Contact your Toshiba service center to solve the problem. but I do not know if the warranty covers the it. In Hp Centre of such situation is not covered. We do it just for the money.

I broke the screen and digitizer and trying to see what parts I had to replace I messed up the son accompanying and others, anyone knows if I can order a top full half to replace it with?
