• Calculation of power using Rogowski coil

  Hello

  I am trying to decide if I should build a VI or if SignalExpress is capable of calculating power based on my selection of transducer.

  I'm trying to calculate the three-phase power of a system using a 2-wattmeter method. I have a NI cDAQ-9178, Rogowski and a winding module NI 9215.

  Since the output of the Rogowski coil voltage is 90 degrees out of phase from the real wave, I can't simply multiply the voltage and current waveforms for the real power. I need to integrate the signal of the Rogowski coil and then multiplying two signals together.

  Is there a SignalExpress option which allows me to integrate the signal or phase change the output voltage of Rogowski?

  I think that the best way would be to incorporate them into LabVIEW, if you have this option, other wise, a way to do in SignalExpress could also be to add a step in LabVIEW on your SignalExpress project, here you can find a guide who has something similar with a numerical integration.

• How to operate DC 5v USB 6008 relay coil?

  I'm operating relay 5v using LabVIEW and USB as DAQ 6008.

  The voltage maximum o/p of DAQ is 5v. Requires relay + 3.4V and - 3, 4V on the coil (min).

  Since generating a negative tension using data acquisition is not possible. How to trigger the relay using a simple switch on the front?

  a leg of the relay to + 5V, the other leg at the end of 2003.  The 2003 ground and hang the lines of data acquisition on the appropriate on the 2003 server entry.  The output digital drive low to activate the relay.

  I have serious problems in the communication more of 16 bits for coils or entered discrete.

  In this forum I read some post little bit about this, tried the possible solution but nothing works.

  Suppose that there is some sort of limitation or error in the ModBus modules available to NI Labview Web pages.

  The idea is very simple:

  I want to sent to 32-bit reels of ModBus Ethernet master to slave and sent 64-bit discreet entrances to the ModBus Ethernet master slave.

  Can someone please give me a helping hand? IM' a sort of beginner with the Labview and would apreciate if someone who has had this problem solved could guit me a hint.

  I already solved the problem. After all, the issue was the same and all I had to do was reboot the Modbus slave in one of the PC.

  I have just a sugestion for people of NOR. Once the bug is known by the community and has resolve, why not make available a version of 'clean' of the ModBus.vi for download?

  It would avoid many post about this same problem and help other developers.

• Calibration of the coils of the signal

  I have a pretty complex issue... at least I think it is. I solved this time way back in LabVIEW 7. But when I look at my old vi I don't remember what I did.

  The problem: I have a large set of data Let's say 4000 samples, my data are expected to 10Volts to-10Volts but my saved data passes of 12, 8Volts to-6, 4Volts, I can use a calibration of coils, with a gain calculated and offset:

  Offset = (12.8 + - 6.4) / 2 = 3,2
  gain = (10-10) / (12.8 - 6.4) = 1 041

  applied to the max value: 12.8 - 3.2 (offset) * 1 041 (gain) = 10
  applied to min value: - 6.4 - 3.2 (offset) * 1,041 (gain) = - 10

  But now, I know there is a way to make a non-bobines with more data points calibration Let's say 5, I thought it was something with a polynomal to adapt, but I can't rember...

  I need 40 exits.
  The first 16 work perfectly. The next 8 coils do not work, next 8 work, 16 next do not work, then 8, next 24 do not work and work for the last 8. Finally, to activate the outputs 40, I needed 88 coil.

  Because 48 coil, do nothing. Can someone help me solve this problem?

• UB12: When I create a part, how can I give the 3D appearance a ring shape (coil)?

  My circuit uses a custom coil: 12.13 mm outside radius, inside radius 11,13 mm, height 1. 00 mm.  I tried to make this shape in UB by drawing a circle of radius of 11.63 mm with a thickness of 1 mm.  Then in the 3D settings, I did the height of offset 0mm and 1 mm.  This gave me an object round solid with good height and diameter.  I figured out that if i select Create hole, it will create a depth in the center of the diameter of the circle.

  So, I did a turn on the 3D layer with the same RADIUS as the inner radius of the coil.  I put that to create holes.  The I made another circle on the 3D layer with a radius of RADIUS outside of the coil and solid to define.   Then I selected the two circles and looked at the tab 3D of the Properties dialog box.  I again had a solid object.  How can I be subject to smaller radius with the hole in it the RADIUS substitution more large object without a hole in it, then it is combined a form of ring?

  Or, there may be a better way to make this form of ring?  Of course, this reel surrounds a bunch of components on a PCB, so when you are finished, the 3D view of the coil to "reveal" details on the circuit board in the center of the coil (components, printing, etc.).

  I don't know if that's what you want to do, but take a look at the attachment.  I placed two circles on the 3D layer, 12.13 mm and the other for 11,13 mm.  The inner circle, I put the size equal to the outside circle and I checked the option box 'hole', also on the "Hardware" tab, I did the color of the inner circle that is different than the outer circle.  When you look at the 3D preview, this part looks like a ring.

  When you open my file, click the componnet and select change > implementing change to show what I did.

  Try to stop the service, restart your computer manually and check if you are able to add a printer.

  1. Click Start, type services.msc in the start search box and press on enter.
  2. Right-click on print spooler , and then click Properties.
  3. In the general list Startup type tab, click disabled.
  4. Under Service status, click stop, and then click OK.
  5. Right click on the print spooler service and then click Start (if it is stopped).

  Check if you can create a printer.

• XPS 15 9550 coil Whine

  I was hoping that this would not be a problem with models of the latest generation, as it is my understanding that this problem has been fixed by the end of the previous generation. Unfortunately, I don't have sound reel whining on my new XPS 15 9550 when it is connected to the power adapter. When it is disconnected from the adapter, the groan is much less visible. It is particularly visible to me when scrolling in Chrome, for example. Backlight KB makes no difference. It does get a little better when the battery is fully charged, but is still quite audible to me.

  Someone else knows that with Skylake models? I am extremely disappointed at this point, I like everything on this laptop except the whine of the coil and the webcam at the bottom of the screen (which I can live with, unlike the whine of the coil).

  It gives me a headache! I can't wrap csv files, where the length of the number field is greater than 11 digits. For example 1.23832E + 11 should be 123831961495

  This is the point people are trying to do.  That's why Roger said to open the csv file in a TEXT Editor.  Excel is not a text editor.  Access is not a text editor.

  Your csv file is nothing more than a plain text file.  Open in Notepad and you will see exactly what was written about everything that created the file.  Any difference between that and what you see in Excel or Access, or anything else is the result of the way in which these programs attempt to interpret the file and is beyond the control of Oracle.  MS products are (in) famous for trying to be smarter than the user and the interpretation of entry of how Bill thinks it should be rather than what you want.

  UTL_FILE is an operation of e/s side server on the server's file system.

  COIL is a SQL * more the client operation I/O on a file system of the client.

  I select Run Script (F5) and the file contains the query and the result set.

  If you use "Run the statement", you will get a file.

  I have reproduced the behavior of the old server and am able to spool a file via sqlplus under OS user. No changes have been made on the remote database server. All the changes have been on the new server hosting a small 11.2.0.4 database on a server running OEL 6.5 32 - bit OS.

  (1) removed the sticky bit $ORACLE_HOME/bin/sqlplus using chmod u-s, g-s, o - s suggestion of Billy ~ Verreynne

  (2) modified the main group for the 'oracle' user match the user operating system applications, while maintaining membership in the groups 'oracle' and 'dba '.

  -We are dealing with here EDI processes, so the Group was called edi.

  (3) modified property of the files tnsnames.ora and listener.ora for oracle: edi

  (4) restart the receiver

  (5) disconnect / reconnect

  Script runs as expected, the output file contains the correct ownership and permissions.
