Color HP LaserJet Pro 200 printer M251n Imaging drum

I am about to enter the market for color laser printer and reflected on the CP1025 in option, but I'm leaning toward the M251n.

It is purely for domestic use - no commercial!

My curiosity is the imaging drum?

for the CP1025 replacement is offered life - 15000 copies (Ithink)

Can't seem to find a reference for the M251n

What is the estimated life of the Imaging for the M251n drum?

Is there a replacement drum?

Are there other partners of parts - for example the belts to replace?

I note that the cartridges supplied in the box are of limited life (700 prints)

The drum also has similar "capacity/life shortened.

Hello user-retirement,

Please find below the answers to your questions. I was able to gather most of the information.

1 > what is the estimated life of the Imaging for the M251n drum?
see the cyclical report in print specifications, which is 30,000 pages per month. for CP1025, the duty cycle is 15000 per month.

2 > is there a replacement drum?
Yes, but the drum is an integral part of the Toner Cartridge.

3 > y at - it other associates of parts - for example of the belts to replace?
I don't think so. Contact HP Support.

4 > I see that the cartridges supplied in the box are of limited life (700 prints)
Yes, the page yield is 700 because they are introductory toner cartridges.

5 > the drum has also similar "ability/shortened life":
Drum life lasts the life of the Toner Cartridge. The drum is an integral part of the cartridge.

  • Multifunction color HP LaserJet Pro 200: printer HP LaserJet bleeding in the pages

Well, so a few months ago our printer started printing with strange faded color smear on the pages. Very subtle at first, but it has progressively worsened over the months, and now it covers almost the page:

    http://i655.Photobucket.com/albums/uu275/zzzz4444/HP.jpg

It is magenta on one side of the page and orange-ish on the other. I tried to manually run a Page several times cleaning, cleaning things, replacement of cartridges, replacing the transfer roller, and calibrate the color cartridges, which none shows any significant improvement. Does it also on the print side of the paper, and it seems that the toner is leaking on the transfer roller mainly (on the edges, but also on the rest of the roll).

    Any ideas/suggestions?

Printer: HP color Laserjet Pro 200 M251n

    Firmware: 2014-06-04, Version 20140521

    Problem:

Since the last update Firmware the printer does not sleep/wake no event (all configured to wake up the printer) will wake up the printer. Even to connect via Webinterfac the printer does not respond. Ping also fails.

Tried to connect the printer to the printer ports / wall plug changed network cables nothing worked.

The only solution is to reset the printer (power off / on) to get the printer working again.

Played a bit with the EcoSmart configuration, but little matter what is selected it its always the same as the printer stuck sleep/sleep mode and don't responde.

Y at - it somewhere the old FIrmware to download to try a downgrade if it would help?

I really don't think there is anythink else I could try.

just to confirm that the last Firmware update solves the problem

You must click on the link below and download the firmware update file and then run it and follow the instructions.  It is usually sufficient to tell the app what printer to update and it does from there.  Takes only a few minutes.

    Thank you

    Hi sergio,

In the front panel of the printer, select Setup > reports > supplies Status Report.

You find any printer color on this worksheet as expected?

Please let me know the retults

So try printing from other applications on your PC (e.g., Word, Wordpad)... you can see no difference?

Is there any specific program you are printing from or any program you use?

2 have you tried to update the program?

    3. this happens in all programs or just one?

  • Color HP LaserJet Pro 200 M251nw to print alignment

Images and text color print out of alignment.

The problem started the first day that we had the impression.  It took me a while to get into this diagnosis, but I tried the following:

I tried to replace the (expensive) with new toner cartridges.  The problem is even with the original Starter cartridges.

I tried a reset of the complete printer.

I tried to let the printer disconnected from the power supply for 24 hours.

I tried several features alignment in the printer menu.

Print black only is fine.  All other colors do not align between them or with blacks.  Creates a kind of 3D - ish into effect.

The quality of printers report displays all colors fine areprinting, but not aligned with each.

I have included scans of part of a rainbow impression that illustrates the displacement as well as the quality report page.

Thanks for letting me know James_LAG.

At this point, it looks like a hardware problem with the printer. Please call our technical support and you learn about a replacement printer, to 800-474-6836. If you do not live in the United States / Canada region, please click the link below to get help from your region number. Contact HP.

  • MFP Color Laserjet Pro 200 print menu

When I use my iMac 27 with this printer, I see all the print options in the print menu in preview, etc that are mentioned in the User Guide.  No 'color/quality' options / advanced etc. to change.   I downloaded and installed the latest drivers from HP.  I use OS X 10.9.4.  Am I doing something wrong or missing something.  The product works very well otherwise.

    Hi jerryoster,

    It seems to me from your description that you use the Mac AirPrint driver instead of the HP driver. I suggest the following;

    Reset the printing system

    1. Click on the Apple icon ( ), then click on System Preferences.

  • Multifunction color HP LaserJet Pro 200: I can't print to my HP printer using wifi, it was working and stopped after the electricity blackout

I got my printer to print via wifi and it was working fine but as the power went out a few seconds this morning, it will not be printed.  I even reset the wifi but does not always print.

    Well, for this issue:

    1. Make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector.
    2. Turn the printer off.
    3. While the printer is turned off, disconnect the power cable from the back of the router for a minute.
    4. When the lights come back on the router, turn on the printer.

Now, on the printer, click on the wireless icon that looks like a radio tower. If you see a line indicating the status: not connected, click on settings and Wireless Setup Wizard to connect the printer to your network.

    Finally:

    1. Click on start and open devices and printers.
    2. Right-click on any icon of your printer listed.
    3. Click on remove the instrument.
    4. Click Add printer, and follow the prompts to add a new queue for your PC.

Basically I never scan A4 paper (wireless), but once the data transmitted from the printer to the pc, I find that the PDF version on the screen is too long. The scanner never used to do this, it's past numbers. I'm using the wrong settings or y at - it something wrong with the scanner itself?

Well, this should solve your problem:

Make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector.
