• Could not get the HDMI port to work on the HP touchsmart.

  I have a HP Touchsmart 600-1265 with an HDMI port. I have connected the computer to the TV but can not get any audio/video to display. I don't know if you need to activate the port or what you need to do to make it work.

  I bought a Dell Studio Hybrid under Vista 64 - bit OS with 4 GB of RAM. .  However, according to the website Compatinbility Web of Microsoft Vista, Vista 64-bit is not compatible with the Palm TX, just Vista running 3 GB of RAM or less.  Anyone can tell me how to get my Palm TX for work (sync) with the Vista 64-bit operating system?

• Could not get command msg invites to work.

  I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate and the other pc on my home network are Vista Home Premium.  Go to the command line if I type in c:\msg myusername is a message, the message appears on my machine.
  If I type in c:\msg otherpcusername this is a message , I get the error: otherpcusername does not exist or is offline.

  Do I need a machine acting as a server to achieve this, or are there settings to change.

• Could not get CameraDemo as application to work

  I am trying to take a snapshot with MMAPI, based on this article, and also based on the CameraDemo code. I can view the field, then the guests of simulators for a photo. I select the sample, wich becames visible image. There is no other field on this screen, only the field that is returned by VideoControl.initDisplayMode mode full-screen. Then I take the snapshot (triggered from a TrackwheelClick event) and the returned byte array is null. It is a sample of the code:

  As you can see, I call Player.start () after the field is added and the screen, following the advice of peter_strange on another post. I also tried calling start() after initDisplayMode (as in CameraDemo) without success. I tried all kinds of stuff, and nobody seems to work.

  Tested with:

  BB - plugin for eclipse, v1.0.0.67, component Pack 4.6.0 ("BOLD" 9000 Simulator)

  -Blackberry 8900 (real device)

  -For the test with the component Pack 4.6.1 (8900 Simulator), I am never invited to an image and the Simulator crashes.

  Needless to say I tested CameraDemo on device (8900) and it doesn't work, but I think it's because there are other fields on the screen.

  OK, I found what happens.

  First of all, old CameraDemo fails due to the button. New CameraDemo (included with JDE 5.0) does not work, but it will throw NullPointerException if it is configured with this coding:

  'encoding = jpeg & width = 640 & height = 480 & quality = normal '.

  Which was originally my app to not too. Now lets change to this other coding:

  "encoding = jpeg & width = 640 & height = 480 & quality = very well"

  And everything works perfectly.

  This happens also on real devices, though I'm afraid that this is a bug. It's really weird because the first coding is among the strings returned by this sentence:

  uninstall all versions of acrobat and reader.

  Restart your computer

  Restart the installation of your acrobat CD.  You will be asked the number of dc.  After entering you will be asked to select a level of qualification.  Select acrobat x.  you will then be asked for acrobat serial number x.

  Enter the correct number at the right time and installation should be completed.

You would think that would work, but it apparently does not.

  In any case, by selecting the drop-down arrow, it turns out that there are three available values: AUTO-DETECT, COLOR and MONOCHROME.

Then I started to work on the other two at the same time. I'm lazy and started to perform several tasks such as installation of MS Office, Security Essentials (less than 10 units at this office, BTW), etc. while the Add Printer Wizard was updating the list of devices. One of these things, I can't remember which, required a reboot.

  And that is where I am certain that things broke. Restart has occurred while the two computers are in the middle of the list of loading from Windows Update System. I not interrupted the first PC. But the other two were interrupted and now they can't get a current list of Windows Update.

  I tried the FixIt tool at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 . He says he detects a problem and claims to have fixed. Except, it isn't - little matter how many times I run.

  Ideally, the FixIt tool above must be updated or a new tool must be created by Microsoft to resolve this particular problem. Type of the error in any search engine, and you will see this question from several years back. It's happens often enough to justify the creation of Microsoft or update a FixIt tool.

  Any thoughts would be helpful.

  I have exactly and that no ONE reads what you say or what other people say everywhere. Only the upgrade Assistant printer does not... The update of the Printer Wizard do not work. Windows Update works fine.

  You are right that if few people read what they respond to these forums. That's the kind of non-response, I found everywhere on the Internet about this issue. (The value of the community is sometimes over-rated, if you ask me). Apparently, using characters fat is not enough to focus on the fact that the issue is not with the printer compatibility since, as I said clearly A) this printer has installed fine several times in the past with the same OS and in the same office and B) that I clearly THE issue is that updated the list of devices , in the Printer Wizard, *Do NOT*!

  First, go to the reports menu on the printer and see if you can print a configuration page. If it works, check your driver. If this does not work, then you can be problems to trainer.
