color lJ5500 questions

Hello

I have a LJ5500 which seems to have a weird problem. When I print the configuration page, the bars cyan on the left side and the bottom of the page look bad, and darker yellow shades on the left side and down look orange.

Look under a magnifier / microscope, cyan on the left side and bottom bars contain a lot of yellow (and it's more than the points of ID yellow printer), giving a tint cyan greenish kindof. Shades of cyan contain a little majenta and or yellow depending on which square of density is. The yellow shade darker contains also some majenta that gives him the look orange. When I say "contains little yellow / majenta', I mean under the microscope, they are clear all the points on a regular grid - that is intentionally put there by the printer, like not random toner leaking or something."

Is this normal? Should shades on the configuration page be pure colors? Is there a way to fix this? I tried to reset the default settings and firmware upgrade (he already had the latest version on this subject, I just downloaded again). I also cleaned the comb of the discharge of static electricity and out of the device for detecting color registration and checked that the lenses are clean. It's as if someone uploaded a correction wrong color profile in the printer or something.

When you print the demo page, it looks perfect, but when you print simple vector graphics with areas of solid color, the blue and green certainly do match any colors of the screen and are always more dark I think they should be.

It does not seem that something is wrong with the printer. Run the menu plan just to see if someone messed with the color on the printer settings as there should be something under the print quality menu and it should reflect all zeros. Your problem could be the driver that you are using. Retrieve the default printer is to reset the cold that will put everything in return user settings to the factory settings and will do a calibration on reboot.

  • 25 color change question in Internet Explorer theme

I changed the 4_2.css to theme 25 so that the header is # 671 17 color and the navigation bar is color #333333 to match our color scheme of institutions. This makes perfectly in Firefox and Chrome, but IE 9 shows this under the standard blue colors. I narrowed down it to what follows in the definition of the page header template:

    <!-[If HTML5] > <! [endif]-->
    <! doctype html >

If I comment <! doctype html > colors will make correctly in IE however images only is more visit and the theme is more sensitive. My question is that I have to make these changes to work properly for IE?

  • Color profile question/problem.

These two products of the same file were taken on D300s my spouse and are good examples of a profile problem, that I can't solve.  It's the same problem, I also have experience on the Nikon D700 and D3.  What follows has been exported with the profile "caméra Standard" and notice the reflection of the Yellow Sun on the door panels:

    marciasd300sstandard.jpg

The following has been exported with a profile of lightroom generated xrite. Notice the overall contrast better, but also horrible unnatural yellow on the same door:

    marciasd300sxrite.jpg

This difference causes all kinds of distortion in natural hair that contains any red-orange.  I use these doors because they are a striking example.  Any attempt to correct through the World Bank generally will result in too much blue elsewhere.  Also, I've created several test profiles in several light conditions (manually and LR), and they all cause this problem in the three cameras.  This isn't a question of a unicameral bad or wrong created the profile.

I have two questions: this example shows well enough to see what I mean?   If so, is - anyone can speculate as to the problem or the solution?  Even conjecture would be appreciated since I'm out of my country and not an expert in this kind of thing.   Thank you!

George, this is an extreme lighting situation that allows to create strange colors that are difficult to "rectify". I put that word in quotes because the question is: what were the colors in lookin at the scene with your eyes. Chances are that the strange colors were there, but not entirely seen, because our brain has a built-in mechanism to change the colors of "what they should be."

So, in other words, I think that you cannot be too critical of a picture taken in these extreme lighting situations.

I have also seen pictures taken in such circumstances are very difficult to "color setting". You showed us the example of a photo 'red '. But the same is true when you take a photo in extremely "blue" light (a very cloudy and rainy day in shadow).

I fould that in such situations I've either must live with colors that are not 'right' or I have to resort to adjustmenst of local color in PS.

  • Fast color editing question

Hi all! I have a picture of a black bag. I need to change the black to purple, I forgot how to do this! Y at - it a mandate to do this so that I can properly search instructions?

Use the channel mixer, in detail. It's a difficult question, because your black handbag values can vary greatly according to the original. You must also have specific amounts of yellow and black to stay, to add shape (Black) and depth (Yellow).

These values for your outings will get in the Charles.

    Output channel mix channel

    Cyan = 100 c 0 m 33y 33 k (taps Y & K retail and this puts in C)

    Magenta = 0c 100 m 33y 33 k (taps Y & K retail and this highlights M)

    Yellow = 0c 0 m 33y 0 k (decreased Y more saturated, increase for more deep purple closest black)

Black = 0c 0 m 0y 55 k (leave some for the shape, opened upward in order to get a saturated color)

  • Satellite P200 - 1 8 - where to get drivers & color monitor question

    He is my grandson computer.
He is 5 years old and the operating system is Windows Home Premium 64-bit.

Following a recent accident, we decided to reload Windows.
We seem to have lost our drivers Toshiba - can be someone please point me in the right direction?

Also the colors of funds went beserk - they resemble the light that shines through the oily water.
They seem OK when the programs are executed, so we do not believe his material.
The only driver for the monitor is shown as a M/Soft generic monitor.

If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you very much!

I guess all your laptop problems appearing after the Windows has been installed, would resolve install the correct drivers.
Liam says, you can find all the drivers on the Toshiba UE driver page.

Here you must choose: Archive-> P-> Satellite P200 series Satellite.

Installing the display driver should fix your problem of color too.

  • Color profile question from lightroom to PSE 12.

After changing for Windows 10 I find that the color profile is deleted when opening a file from Lightroom 6 to 12 of PSE.  I also get an error message when you try to load a 12 for 8.5 RAW update.  The error reads U44M1I210.  If anyone can help with the problem.

Ok. What is the setting in Lightroom under preferences > external editing > color space? Here you have the choice between sRGB, Adobe RGB and ProPhoto. The default is ProPhoto, and unless you have changed, it is how it opens in the external editor (in your case, PES).

If you view while in an another viewer of photos without color management, color will be away (dark and desaturated).

Now, there may be color settings of the specific items that can strip or convert this profile, so I would still recommend that go. All I can do here is to take the floor for Lightroom and Photoshop.

  • How can I add the palette of color for color chooser (Question from NOOB)

    Hello

I'm learning AI CC and do well enough. However, one thing left me speechless right now.

I opened a new document and no color palette is selected. I choose one, but it is not 'load' in the typical color selector box. Rather, it is a floating pop-up. I did find a way so that it can load into the desired area. See the screenshot below.

I know it's going to be something brain-dead simple but at this point, it has escaped me. HA!

    Thank you

    M

The only way you will get a blank Panel swatch is if you open a file as a raster file. If you do a file > open and choose a new Document profile such as print, Web, CMYK or RGB basis basis, you should have a preloaded Swatch panel.

  • problem with printing: color management question

I've been printing this document for some time now without any problem, but now when I go to print this error happens to say something about the color management is inconsistent. I tried to create a new one using an old document but nothing allows me to print. Also tried updating illustrator by CC.

Need help as soon as POSSIBLE.

It of just a guess, but try to assign a color profile of the document first. It is under Edit > assign profile.

  • reference color monitor question

I have a LG monitor connected via thunderbolt to HDMI. Some videos that I edit very good look while the reference monitor others seek is very different compared to my iMac monitor. I have a third monitor that is alos the same monitor LG matched with the same color as the fist LG monitor.

How is it that some different when other videos look alike? For example a video shows correct blue sky but another video shows blue sky more blue without any adjustment.

I should just be adjust for blue and don't worry about the brightness as long as my video glasses look correct?

The only way to test and compare any monitor is with color bars. NOT raw or source of the layer or exported film footage.

Color bars are a defined reference (SMPTE), door scopes (vector and Luma), and have also pluges allowing the eye determine if the monitor is properly configured.

The Pluge is in the low right bars.

The color is all about implementing the luminance (levels) first.  If the pluges are bad... the color is wrong.

  • Path to compensate for color change question

Hi, I'm having a problem trying to change the color of my offset path on text.  I tried to follow the tutorials to youtube, but I can't seem to do things.   I use Illustrator CS6 is said by the way.

I create the text, vectorize, separate from the text, then go to the pathfinder and Ctrl-click 'unit' on the modes of the shape for the compound shape.  Then I add the offset path.  My problem is that when I try to change the fill color, the offset path and text change color as a single object.

In one of the tutorials I looked, a second layer of track appeared when the lag fix was created.  Then the instructor just clicked on the new compound path (path offset layer) and changed the color independently of the text.  This extra layer is not displayed for me.  I see the little "doughnut" next to my path in the layers panel layer fills and the offset appears in the appearance above the layers panel Panel, but I can't change the color of the independent offset of the text color.

Here is a picture of the logo that I am trying to imitate:

    G.png

I wish that the "G." to be green, while the rest of the text would be white with a black outline/offset path.  Best scenario would be to have the path shift around the entire text, while that have the ability to change the color of individual letters.

Here's a vid of how I try to do this:

    Try to follow this tutorial:

Compensate for the path - YouTube

In this video (05:10) that he clicks on the OK button and a new layer of path is dedicated to the shows that it can select and change the color with.  I do not understand with mine.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

  • Photoshop CS3: Color Picker question

    Hi all

I have a bit of a problem with my color picker.

As you know, when you open the color picker, it has the big square with the assortment of colors on the left and the details of the color on the right.

As of today, Photoshop won't let me use my cursor click and select a color from the large square. Or I can scroll up and down the color Rainbow on the side band.

Is it possible to recover these features?

    Thanks in advance.

Try to reset your preferences, as described in the FAQ.

    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/375776?TSTART=0

You must physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if you use the Alt, Ctrl, and shift, don't forget you get a confirmation dialog box.

This resets all settings in Photoshop default.

A complete uninstall/reinstall will not affect preferences and a corrupted file may be the cause of the problem.

  • Newbie on color/contrast question

    Hello

I placed ads in a newspaper black and white (gray scale). The ads previously digitized images and I got their quality high resolution. JPG. I don't have access to the original files. When they printed, some of the ads were not too bright that I wanted. I have them open in Photoshop and discovered that blacks are not 100% black. Some were 90%, some as low as 40%. They looked fine on my screen and the laser printer proofs, but on paper, they were not quite dark. I want to increase to 100% blacks. I'm a Photoshop newbie, so the only solution I can find is to open each of these ads and use the Curves tool to all blacks pull up to 100% while leaving the white part of the spectrum only. I don't know I'm using the Curves tool correctly. Do not argue the point, but here are a few screenshots of before and after.

    BEFORE:

    Before.jpg

    AFTER:

    After.jpg

If you look closely, you can see the curves. Bassically I pulled to the top of the curve to 100% black and just left the point furthest to the left, where it is (which I assume is the white part of the spectrum).

Is this the best approach to do what I want to do?

    Thank you.

Is this the best approach to do what I want to do?

No, you will find that this severe blow causes the Posterization and blocking of the pixel. Turn on your histogram, curves and control where the black values start - you move the sliders at the BOTTOM in the curves. Some off-tail in grey (this is a scan) is normal.

Yes black should be 100% black and white should be blown, but not to the point that his destroy the purity of the form of the letter and fill density in a way not only to natural.

  • Colors to Pantone Plus Series missing in Illustrator CC

I'm trying to find a color in Illustrator CC I chose in my book of Pantone Solid Coated series more, but the color and (many) are not set up in the search. The color in question is 2450c. Any ideas as to why some of these colors are maybe not accessible?

You update the color Manager to get the latest libraries, then select the library and use the file > export in the color Manager.

That's all. If the color is not there, then it isn't as you can while other that demand Pantone.
