• Power settings began to change on their own

  I have a Pavilion Elite HPE Desktop under Windows 7 Home Premium.

  I served in a "Balanced" power setting where the display turns off after 10 minutes and the pc goes to sleep after 20 minutes. Recently, setting the power began to come back after a while (I think) and certainly at every start up to a "Balanced" framework in which case the display turns off after 15 minutes and the pc "Never" goes to sleep.

  I tried all kinds of manual-reset and back up without being able to avoid cela the unwanted action. I searched the web long and settings of power changing by themselves seems to be quite a common problem that no one offers a solution. I hope through this forum to find an answer.

  I'm starting to wonder if some piece of third party software interferes with the settings.

• File types & views changing on their own

  Using XP Home WMP 10. When I open my music files, the properties say they are documents or image files. I go & spend hours customing properties & views of files music w / fixed thumbnails views & they open fine. Next week, they are a mess again. Opening in bad visits & image files or a document. What's wrong. I've got 95 GB of music & it takes days to straighten again. Help, please.

  Open a folder. Click on tools, Folder Options, view, and then click "reset all folders". (This resets all the settings of the folder view, custom thumbnail assigned for a folder, etc. Desktop.ini file is not affected). Close the folder. Open and customize the folder again. Click view, apply to all folders.

  I did add something new to my pc.  It started randomly happening...

  What I've noticed, is my computer will be stronger, as it is to wrap upward and the CPU goes crazy.

  After that research around these things, I noticed happen when this noise starts and the CPU going nuts:

  -Under Internet Security my settings changed on their own to custom

  (I then change them back only to have this all happen again minutes later)

  -When this is happening and I'm going under dllhost.exe Task Manager suddenly over 15 years * 32 Com alternatives pop up all at the same time

  I do stop by changing my Internet Security properties to default and putting an end to the tree of processes all the dllhost.exe * 32 Com substitutes.

  Then, about 5 or 10 minutes later it happens again. This has happened in recent days.  I ran safely scan and it found some VirToolWin32 - CeeInject.gen! KK (linked in Adobe Updater). This VirTool:MSIL/injector.BF has been removed but all that I mentioned above is still ongoing.

  It arrived today.  I checked the updates as soon as I logged in and it was so maybe that fixed the issue.

  I recently decided to spend autour colours in Firefox. I work in a fairly dark environment and have the dark color on white or light background text is quite difficult on my eyes in the dark.

  I changed the background to a dark gray, light gray text and visited the two and links not visited in a blue light. With these changes, I unchecked the "allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above" box.

  After unchecking the box, I'm more able to display images on many sites. Turn all grey images - as if Firefox has changed their image in part of the background. When I check the box, I am able to see fine pictures, however, Web sites typically return to their light background with dark text.

  Just Illustrator CC 19.0.0 was downloaded to me. When I place a line and then set its color, close objects can also have their color changed. This includes the items in the file of until I added the line, not on the same map-art objects. It is not universal, nor is it compatible.   You must update to 19.1 (or 19.1.1 for Windows) or 19.2 (lattethe has some problems, then you can start with the former).

  If 19.1 (or 19.2) does not appear, disconnect and then reconnect the creative cloud application. After that, the 19.1 update must be visible in the creative application of Cloud.

• Allow camera manufacturers to provide their own camera 'profile '.

  I recently bought a Nikon D5000 DSLR and noticed that very often the Foto jpeg files created by the camera are * much * better rendering as files of Foto RAW/NEF, returned by Lr. This is true with Lr 2 and 3 LR.

  For this reason, for my Nikon D5000 Photos, I use/change only very rarely the RAW/NEF Photo files and use/modify most of the time the Foto of Jpeg files. It is somehow a little damage.

  It is my impression that Adobe should allow (and motivate!) camera manufacturers provide their own profiles to camera, that would make the RAW files also for Lr (and Adobe Camera Raw) although they (= the manufacurer of camera) make their jpeg files.

  Such an improvement would allow me (and others) to benefit more from the combined use of two excellent products: my excellent camera and excellent Lr software. It is my impression that such an improvement woulde be benefitial to the camera makers (e.g. Nikon will be happy to know that their customers can benefit from Lr) and would also be benefitial for Adobe (Adobe is happy to know that users who have bought a brand-X camera can get for their camera with Lr the best rendering of RAW).

  Adobe could leave to each manufacturer of cameras, to decide if they prefer to sell or transferred their Lr of the camera profile.

  Notice: I am not an expert of Lr and so don't know how it is easy or difficult, it will provide such an improvement. But as a non expert, I feel that, since it is now possible for a user to define and use its own Lr Presets, it should also be possible to define and use profiles of cameras that are not defined by Adobe. .... Perhaps, what I am looking for, could be achieved by a kind of Presets which will be provided by the camera manufacturers.

  It will not happen... camera makers will not be able to provide a camera profile that produces the same results as the JPG in-camera with Adobe's RAW conversion engine, simply because Adobe and camera manufacturers do not have access to each and other information exclusive to go out of.  In addition, some manufacturers of devices photo who sell their own RAW processing software (which uses exclusive treatment of the manufacturer of the camera algorithms that duplicate processing unit) would consider Adobe as a competitor.  Nikon actually their white balance of the encrypted information a few generations-rear camera to thwart Adobe and other transformation of their FIRST lines, but have surrendered long.

  Already, the user can create a camera profile or a group of profiles for their own camera, but there is no shade-twists that make the Adobe profiles which can provide a more pleasing color in certain situations.  It is therefore unlikely that the camera manufacturers would be able to do a better job.

  Once the thing we could with for is Adobe allow creating profile by using a target color with more colors than the 24-patch-checker color which is limited to the colors it optimizes for and allow the user to specify the hue twists in the Adobe profiles.

• keyboard changed on its own!

  I have a MacBook Air 3.1 (OS X 10.6.8).) These days many of the keys on my keyboard have changed meaning (on their own!). The letters are OK, but punctuation, parentheses, accents etc seem to comply with some other keyboard. If I go to System Preferences and then the keyboard I donat see a way to change things. I tried to do a reset SMC, but in vain. What can I do? Thank you

  I'm on windows XP Sp3, with the latest firefox.

  Without good reason, when I have the setting 'let sites choose their own fonts' selected under options/content/fonts and colors / advanced, I see the text that looks like this:

  This occurs even on the clean Firefox support page! In fact, I don't even text to type in my question, if I have the own font setting choose active.

  So what is happening here? I have uninstalled/reinstalled FF, disabled all addons, run in safe mode, cleared caches, FF and EVERYTHING seems just horked. WTF?

  This problem may be caused by the version of the bitmap of the font Helvetica or Geneva or another font (bitmap) that cannot be displayed by Firefox in this font size.
  Firefox cannot display that font in the specified gibberish of size and display instead.
  You can test in zoom out (view > Zoom > Zoom out, Ctrl-) to make the text smaller.

  Uninstall (remove) all variants of this not working do Firefox, use a different font or find a version of real type of the font that doesn't have the problem.

• Three XP Pro SP3 Desktops that start up on their own after that I have aparently stop them

  Hi all

  I can aparently stop XP Pro SP3 Desktop PC but they start all on their own. The only thing that has changed is that I had to replace my router yesterday as my old one had suddenly stopped working.

  I have three of these Machines XP Pro that all do the same thing!

  Can anyone offer any suggestions to help me find why this would suddenly happen?

  Thank you for taking the time to read my request for help and advice as well as for your answer which was more useful.

  The problem has been resolved. Basically, I tried what you said, a local network of disconnected machines cable and that it does not then restart on its own.

  Rather than deepen each machine BIOS I asked the router manufacturer if they could offer no explanation.

  NETGEAR responded and I followed the instructions which were to download a more recent version of the Firmware on the router (they sent me a link to make it go away) then to do a reset of the router and then re install. Since doing so stop now this set of the PC until we press the start button to launch their new.

  I must say I was a little surprised that Netgear was able to offer this much more recent firmware as I had already used the routers built in firmware update installations when I first set up the router. He installed a firmware update and then tells me that there were no new versions available when I checked again.

• Is it possible for an attacker to put my whole computer on their own computer?

  I would like to know if it is possible for another person put my whole computer on their own computer without my permission.  I know that I was the victim of a hacker very persistent during the last decade.  I have no way to prove it, of course.  I upgraded from Win XP to Win 7 Pro to avoid the hacker, but now I get messages of FAILURE even when I try add and remove programs Windows among the many other things.  My printer don't would not print even more given that the permissions of the application of my printer have been modified so that my user account (which is supposed to be an admin acct) would not be able to print.  When I tried to change the permission, I got the too familiar ACCESS DENIED message.  I tried to delete a shortcut from my office the other day, and I got the ACCESS IS DENIED.  Sometimes when I try to delete a shortcut, I get this popup telling me I should be an admin, so I click on CONTINUE, and he let me finally in this scenario.  I don't think I should get such a popup window, trying to remove a shortcut from my desktop.  Sometimes when I turn off my computer, it gives me a message saying THERE ARE OTHER USERS CURRENTLY using YOUR COMPUTER, IF YOU STOP NOW, THEY COULD LOSE SOME OF THEIR DATA.  I'm the only person who uses my computer, so I don't think I should get these questions.

  If you think that your PC has been compromised, then you must reinstall Windows to a freshly formatted drive. Do not wait another decade - do it now! Ask an expert if you are unsure how to do it.

  Now and then my color space seems to change on its own, and I can't figure out how to recover from the previous color space.

  The last time that happened, I was 'save for web' and that he was trying different settings of sRGB checked and unchecked. This might have caused the problem, but I do not know why because it is not the color of the recorded image which is at issue. It is the color space of the PSD file that has changed somewhat. The change is that the colours are duller and seem more washed out.

  I know that this has happened when I was not "save for the web." It seemed to me that I was trying to copy or paste or by using a different combination of keys when all of a sudden all the colors changed and I could not get back them. I also watched test and test colors and saw that the settings are the same as in the other case where the colors are not screwed up.

  Thanks for the tips. But I has not changed anything in the color settings except in the window of the Web. That's when I left the save for web I noticed that all my colors had changed. But then again, this happened with other files and seemed to have occurred after use of key combinations such as cut and paste. I must have clicked the wrong key. But even when I closed the file without saving changes and then reopened, he still had the washed out colors. So SOMETHING changed, I just can't understand what this thing.

  FOUND ANSWER

  It's embarrassing, but in this case, I found out something that I had moved into my open file was applied curves that touched all colors because it was near the top of the layers. I guess I didn't notice because I was zoomed in on an element. After I saved for the Web and closed the window, I noticed the color changes. In this case, it was an easy solution. But what happened before and I know it wasn't because of the curves or similar settings. Something happened which washed out/desaturated colours. I'll figure that one another day.
