Combine the path, as in Illustrator

Hi all

Can someone help me,

Is it possible to combine paths in a path of the only form?

I am trying to create an icon for the user interface,

is it possible to draw traces in a single layer? while I can join paths. Currently im copy paste paths from 1 layer to another.

Its simple, I want just the same Illustrator "pathfinder"... options.image-1.jpg

If you have merged two or more forms, in either copy and stick to each other, or selecting and merging the layers form, select the merged form and in the Options drop-down bar choose "merge elements of form".

    Thank you, Larry...

I guess that's as good as it gets. I'll start selecting things until I have find a group with an open path and start to break down.

I have not found any plugins that work for it. There was one but I think the latest version, in which he worked was CS5 or 6.

Adobe? This seems to be a simple addition. You already identify the paths open to us. Why not allow us to choose in the menu Select/Object? It's a recurring problem for years... then requested that someone made a plugin for this (for earlier versions) at the same time.

  • How to insert photoshop image with a work/clipping path in illustrator using the path?

How to place an image in Illustrator using the clipping/work path created in Photoshop?

I have a .jpg of an object on a background image. This image has a clipping path that écrêtera the background of the image. I could clip the outside background (in Photoshop) and save the image as a file .psd with a transparent background, and then insert the .psd file in Illustrator... it's easy. What I can't understand is to place the image (bottom) .jpg and use clipping path Photoshop be clipping path in Illustrator. In this way, I can take this clipping path and use it as a layer of gloss spot for production. I work on a Macbook Pro and CC2014. Thank you.

But you can export the path separately in Illustrator, then he get married to the JPEG placed as a clipping mask.

In traces of Photoshop Panel, target the path, and then choose file > export > traces to Illustrator...

He'll write a .ai file. Open and select all (it's a quick and easy way to 'see' the path because Photoshop it will export with no border or background, leaving mostly 'invisible' on the artboard Illustrator).

Then you can copy it to the collage at the top of your JPEG placed. Position them as you like, select this option and the JPEG format, then choose object > clipping mask > make...

  • Why the path I create in Illustrator CC never rest in place?

Is there a current bug in the tool path in Illustrator CC? I tried grid align, Snap Gird, Guides, snap to Guides, enabled all the Options to turn power on and off. No matter what I try to solve the problem, the way I create will not remain in the position that I place when adding properties. Adding an accident stroke to the path causes the path to awkwardly move in a random direction, mainly down. I won't 6400% zoom with the direct Selection tool and manually move the anchor points back on the guides/grids that I put up and as soon as I let go, the anchor returns to the position of the random pixel. IE - set the anchor of 400px and happen randomly to the 400.5px later. Nothing stays the place. It seems that any adjustment to the path will cause the path move randomly. It's extremely frustrating trying to keep things clean and precise. I spend more time trying to solve the buggy movements than to actually create my work.

Is there a setting preferably I'm missing that causes this or is this a real bug?

    410er0r,

Just to be sure: is to line up on the grid of pixels completely off?

Otherwise, you can select the entire document and untick finally align on the pixel grid in the Transform palette and uncheck also align new objects to the pixel grid in the options of the Launcher. It is crucial that the checkbox is disabled completely, not just a - which also count as ticked.

It may be noted that even align with the pixel grid is cleared with all the selected objects, align new objects to the pixel grid is checked as the creation of new objects will result in these new objects being aligned, even when they are created from existing objects that can happen with Pathfinder operations.

You can avoid the types of documents with the default (RGB for the web and other) or change the default value for such documents.

  • When the path is missing from the Illustrator file, the problem occurs

When the path is missing from the Illustrator file, it keeps duplicating well the path is absent from and cannot do anything else in the file

Sorry about that - it happens to PSD files too. The solution is either to the back file where she there or, if you do not have the file, the set (of the same type) _any_ file in the old location renamed the old file name just if she continues to complain.

Or, if you don't need the project, just leave Ch and delete project - it will create a new on the next launch.

If you know in advance that you will be willing to delete the files to work on disk that are still referenced, you can avoid this problem by selecting the puppet in the project Panel, and unchecking the option "Auto-sync with the work" in the properties panel. Manual synchronization is then possible to check and uncheck this option.

We have already fixed this bug here at the factory in Seattle, so it won't be a problem in Preview 2 and later versions.

  • Is the path of export to illustrator the only way to get a psd w / clipping appears in Illustrator?

I'm wasting time having to put my image in Illustrator, then manually align the clipping path. You used to be able to save a file with a clipping path an EPS in photoshop, select "maintain vector data", place it in illustrator and cmd-press Y to see the clipping path. I need the image and clipping in Illustrator and image path is too complex to create a mask of Illustrator. I tried to save it as an EPS but "retain vector data" is gray.

Save a PSD. If you need access to the path, then incorporate him (the image in Illustrator).

If you just want to use the path for cutting, set it as a clipping path in Photoshop.

  • Illustrator aligns with the pixel & changes the path?

I work with paths are for some reason strange and annoying, snaps to the pixel grid. I have even the 'Snap to Pixel' off and the traces are changed by the Illustrator so they dynamic enters the pixel grid. I've never experienced this before where illustrator actuall moving anchor points where he wants. Here is an example of what is going on (this happens in the raster preview and normal preview):

Here is a vector path on a grid created to show where the pixels are:

    preview_02469.png

I select the object swap FILLING in the RACE and immediately you can see that illustrator changed the location of the paths:

    preview_02470.png

I share the RACE to FILL and it alters the paths still more!

    preview_02471.png

    Here's another example:

The paths are not clearly aligned with the pixel grid, but illustrator is trying everything possible to make the line of pixels to the top. (This image has "Quick align inside" and is previewing rasterized).

    preview_02467.png

Same thing but pixel not preview. Super weird behavior:

    preview_02466.png

Will there be some sort of setting in the preferences of masters that is causing this behavior? I did this wink on the grid and snap to pixel is turned off and rest nothing will do. Anyone encountered this?

    Thank you!

I'm assuming that CS5 because you are talking to match the pixel grid. Is this correct?

    Possible bug, but...

I can easily reproduce this problem with a small graphic and align on grid of pixels. If I disable snap to grid of pixels (in the transformation Panel) the problem disappears.

Note there must be a very small chart for the question to stand.

Are you sure you want to align the grid of pixels off?

If so, you might try trashing your file.

  • How do you do a straight path any longer with the same angle in Illustrator?

Let's say I have a straight path, that I need to lie down, and I shot this way very carefully, and I need to extend it with the same angle I turned to. I could use the direct Selection tool and drag the anchor point, but I have to be extremely careful if I want the same exact angle. Is there a way to extend it and keep the angle?

    Ginger,

With view > guides, you can:

    (1) select the path and Transform in the palette set the relevant reference, then several W or H with a sufficiently high number and Ctrl/CmdEnter to make the desired length or too long if you want to determine by dragging;

If you want to determine this by dragging:

    (2) with the tool ClickDrag direct Selection the purpose appropriate anchor Point back up until you have the length desired; Smart Guides will keep you on, saying: path.

  • Track of the path Alters weight change

    Hello!

At some point during the last two days, I did something in Illustrator (probably an accidental key combination) which causes the physical track structure to change whenever I have change the thickness of the line.

I took a screenshot and uploaded to YouTube for example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hAA7YIrVwY. You will notice in the video, that as the race gets smaller, the path actually moves to the bottom of the artboard.

How can I stop this from happening? OR what is the setting that has changed, so that if this happens again in the future, I can fix it? It has been difficult to find an answer, because the keywords are enough relevant about questions of Illustrator.

    Thanks for your help!

  • Specify the path to file report with Expression

TS201x help under "Specifying report file paths by Expression" talking with a number of macros various, but starts at the page that shows how to use FileGlobals also. When you specify the expression (... > specify the path file of report by Expression > Expression browser), I would like to combine macros with FileGlobals, but none of the FileGlobals are listed is available. The expression builder has access to the StationGlobals however, but not in the FileGlobals.

Is there a workaround solution, or at least an explanation of this behavior?

    See you soon

I think you found a bug in the documentation.  In the process of old models, you can use the FileGlobals of the process model as that sentence States.  Now that they moved to Plugins I don't think that this is no longer true.  You may need to go with a StationGlobal on it.

Or you can cancel the ReportOptions recall and change the Parameters.ReportOptions.ReportFileSequentialModelExpression variable to include the information in your customer file.  So, basically, to define a placeholder in your expression in the dialog box options report.  Then in the callback to use the SearAndReplace method to replace the placeholder with the specific data.  It worked for me when I tested it.  The nice thing about this way, is that you don't have to manage the StationGlobals.

    Hope this helps,

  • Build the path for a reason any not giving "a path".

So I have a path that leads to a directory that is already created and a string constant and combine them with the build path function VI to return a full path, to move to some write to file function. It works very well, as seen in the half top of diagram this picture (with test.txt) block:

But I want to make each file named after the date and time, as you can see I did in the bottom half of the diagram above black. You can see that the file name it produces looks pretty simple for me.

Now, I try to connect the output from the bottom to the top, instead of test.txt:

And now instead of writing to the file, it appears with a dialog window asking the name of the file to use for me. I have reviewed the documentation for function that I convey my path of the file (write on the file of spreadsheet VI), and he says:

file path is the path name of the file. If file path is empty (default) or is , the VI displays a dialog box from which you can select a file. Error 43 occurs if you cancel the dialog box.

Well, this is probably what is happening here, I guess. But why build it a path function, is not a way back?

If you go to the manual to build a path, it is said:

name or relative path is the new path component appended to base path. If name or relative path is an empty string or an invalid path, this function sets appended path to . If base path is an empty path then name or relative path must be an absolute path. This function then sets appended path to the absolute path in name or relative path.

Yet, he does not say is what a path not valid. I can't imagine why it is not, as that looks really useful for a manual to have, but good information. Googling "labview build an invalid path" returns first page manual that I've just referenced and then this page, but everything seems about invalid paths is that they can't have slashes, which is not my example.

I apologize if I am missing something obvious, but it is anywhere, or you're just supposed to guess? I guess it's possible that it is more generally known of Labview that I'll go with more experience, but it still seems that would not hurt to have right on the page. I tried a few obvious things such as the removal of spaces of my date, but no luck.

    Thank you!

A file name cannot contain colon ': '.

For example, use windows Explorer and try to change a file name by inserting a ': ', this is what you would see.

  • Using a command line with spaces in the path name

I want to write a batch file simple to keep the output of the log file in a program, I'm running. Unfortunately, I him did not over the years and I'm rusty I thought.

Basically, the CW program creates a file called "log.txt".

What I would do is to remove a file called log10.txt and the iteratively to rename log9, txt connect 10.txt, log 8. txt log9 txt... and so on.

Once the name change is made, I would like to run CW.txt.

Some complications. There is a version of the program the two 32 - bit and 64 - bit and only can exist.

So I thought I could use the system environment PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE VCBBASE to test if I am running 64 bit.

Then I could use ProgramFiles or % ProgramFiles (x 86) % to locate my executable.

Sounds easy in theory, but I'm stumbling - a lot.

I use cmd to open a window to test my script of commands and the batch script is in a file called "testme.cmd." I don't know if it would make a difference if the batch file has been "testme.bat"?

The full name of the directory for the 64 bit version of the program is:

    C:\Program Files\KingComp\Cram 3\CW.exe Wiz

You try to run a batch file to determine if the file exists:

    If exist %ProgramFiles%\KingComp\Cram Wiz 3\CW.exe

causes an error: the system cannot find the path specified. I tried various combinations of the quotes around parts or all of the order - all without success. The research gives a lot of results, but none seem to apply to my problem except suggestions to determine the 8.3 file name and use it. But I do not know how to find by program structures of 8.3 directory.

  • How to activate the path with the subtractions in selection

    Hello

This is my first post here and I must say that I thank, you are here because I'm pretty frustrated.

I am new to using the pen tool. For the last day or two, I'm working on it pretty hard in Photoshop CC and I think I have a general handle on how it basically works now, but can't get to a domain.

I just finished a rather complex path. After doing the outdoor path, always using the pen tool, I changed the tool of "combining forms" to "subtract the shape front" and make internal cuts of the way that I wanted. When I had finished, I thought that everything I would need to do is to hit the icon selection at the bottom of the path window and a complete selection, including the subtractions would be taken. Unfortunately when I did only the subtraction have been included in the selection even though they were clearly there in the path. Please can someone explain what can happen here?

    Thank you

The outermost path does not have the value "Combining forms" or "Exclude the shapes overlapping" or it is not the subPathItem facing down.

Select it, and then change the setting in the Options bar (window > Options) or simply select all the subPathItems and put them to "exclude the shapes that overlap.
