Hello

In this case, try the following version of the driver.

If the above driver also fails to install correctly, after return with the full model number and your notebook cq58 series Nr - see here for a guide to the location of such information.

Kind regards

  • Reasonably can I downgrade a 8.1 for windows xps8700 to windows 7 pro?

I am a teacher in a small school.  I want to buy a new computer to the directory.  I found a good deal, I love on a xps8700, but it comes with windows 8.1.  Our network is just moving from xp to windows 7 pro.  Our person tech would be willing to try this downgrade for me, but she is worried, it might be difficult to make it all work with the drivers and all.  I know I'm being vague.  I'm not a tech person.  Does anyone have experience with this?  It is much more expensive to purchase the same configuration with windows 7 pre-loaded pro, so if it would be manageable, I'd buy the beam I found.  Thanks in advance for any input you can give me.

  • Unable to downgrade to win 8 Pro for Windows 7 Pro OEM

I just bought a new laptop from Sony with Windows 8 Professional pre-installed. I was under the impression that then I could downgrade to Windows 7 Pro. However when I try to do it by doing a clean install of Windows 7 Pro with a disc that I have, I get an error to the first restart during the installation. That is to say that the pilot is is not digitally signed.

I tried to turn off driver signing through settings-> General-> Advanced-> reboot and then disable it temporarily. Anything that allows me to do is to load Windows 8 again. Then if I restart or try to reinstall Windows 7, happening just to this old problem.
I also tried to activate test mode, but he had no chance.
What should I do to get this PC to Windows 7 Pro? All articles on the web look like the right to downgrade would be fairly easy to exercise. Thanks for any help.

Load the BIOS and disable Secure Boot, it is usually in the Section of the safety of your BIOS.

I suggest that you back up your installation of Windows 8 prior to the upgrade, just in case you want to revert to Windows 8 in the future:

    Robert, welcome to the forum.

It is a forum for helping hand in hand. The only presence that HP has on this are Admins and Mods. Otherwise, none of us works for HP.

That said, the computer comes with Win 7 Home Premium (64 bit) installed.  Therefore, I do believe that you have used the product key works for installation of Win 7 Pro.  HP would have no information for you, because the computer is well over 6 years (released in April 2009).

The recovery disks system refers to the original with Win 7 Home Premium Setup.

  • HP Pavilion 15 lowered a score of 8.1 for Windows 64-bit for Windows 7 Pro 64 bit driver problem

I just downgraded a HP Pavilion 15 Notebook, which was just recently bought with Windows 8.1 64-bit installed.

The owners could not get with Windows 8, so they bought Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

After changing the option of Secure Boot UEFI BIOS, I installed windows 7 for them, installed the drivers from the site HP Web for this model of laptop, but there are a few drivers who will not not turn on.

    Product number is F8S59EA #ABU

    SYS ID card is 2163

    Intel processor Core I5-4200U @ 1.60 GHz

    8 GB memory

But there is a PCI device in device without driver manager now, details of the error are:

    PCI DEVICE

    Hardware ID

    PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_5227 & SUBSYS_2163103C & REV_01

There is also another error of unknown device listed, the details are:

    The unknown device properties

    Hardware ID

    ACPI\HPQ6007

I don't know if this is related to the first error message, but I thought I'd list them here anyway.

In addition, try to install the software Cyberlink listed on page of drivers for this laptop, Cyberlink Director Photo software, the software Cyberlink PowerDVD and PowerDirector Cyberlink software all refuse to install.

PowerDVD and PhotoDirector gave "Software can be installed in the machine allowed" error message and PowerDirector gave the error message "is not a valid HP drive, the installer stops now.

If someone could please help in telling me that drivers are missing, (I enter all the machine ID in the box HP drivers, pilots said it remained for this machine, installed correctly, just these some problems) I would be most gratefull and the owners of laptops would be too!

Hello everyone.  My computer is adjustable having the dual boot with Windows 7 Pro on disk 0 (320 GB SATA Seagate Barracuda 7200.11) and XP Pro disk 1 (40 GB SATA Samsung SP0411C). As the two systems are available at the start but most all the time Windows 7 Pro would use. The computer is Compaq 7100, WCL PP255US, 3.2 GHZ Intel Pentium 4, 3 GB of ram, Council ch h 0968, bios HP 78 1 v01.05 16/06/2004, chip Intel 915 G Express.  According to the website of Seagate Barracuda 320 GB with (quote), ' he not there no master/slave because every player relationship is considered to be a master in a relationship from point to point.» If two drives are connected to a Serial ATA host adapter, the host operating system considers that the two devices as if they were the two "masters" on two ports separated. Both drives behave as if they were device 0 (master) devices.  On the drive Samsung (SP0411C) I put a jumper for master, it is connected to the motherboard instead of disk 1. Used rider illustrated for Samsung SP0411N since I did not see the SP0411C listed. When selecting information for Samsung Seagate site sometimes showed data for their readers. This is perhaps due to the recent acquisition of Samsung or maybe my mistake.  Tried swapping around wiring of each drive but that didn't work of course. Looked at the settings in the BIOS but did not see a way to create the dual boot.  Please let me know if you need more information. If you know how this can be done or have some suggestions, please let me hear it. As always, thank you very much for your comments.

    Oscar

Hello oscarmint, I checked the specifications of your system and it does not show the system supports two types of hard drives.

The system supports only Serial ATA (Sata) synchronous Maximum 150 MB/s transfer rate

You would need to make the jumper on the Seagate 320 GB Sata Drive pin, set at 150 MB/s.

You are right that the Seagate would not Cable Select or slave settings and it would be the master and only on cable.

If the 40 GB hard drive is a type of ATA (IDE), you'd better put as selection of cables (CS).

A Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor report was generated for this computer, and is the main concern of this report, "virtualization technology is not supported, this PC does not support hardware virtualization assisted". As you know that this statement refers to the XP mode which is optional for Windows 7 Professional.  My question is what material makes this PC not support for virtualization technology, and this PC can be modified to support the necessary hardware. I'm a novice at this sort of thing so maybe I do not understand what that means here the report. In addition, another concern of mine is how will the PC really run Windows 7, it will be too slow for example. I would appreciate your help and comments.

    Thank you

    Oscar

    Hey, Oscar:

There is no processors VT supported for the dc7100, so activation of VT in this machine is not going to happen.

If you have integrated Intel card, is not entirely Windows 7 or Vista capable.

Here is the link to a graphic driver for laptop that will allow the graphics acceleration and a change in screen resolution, but you won't have Aero under any circumstances.

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=447371&prodNameId=447348&swEnvOID=2096&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-47264-1

You download and run the install file. It will be the error. Close the error window.

You will need to manually install the driver by clicking on the VGA adapter in Device Manager. Click on update driver driver. Select travel it my computer for the software method and navigate to C:\SWSetup\sp34749. Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

Otherwise, you can buy a video card compatible windows 7 (PCIe x 16 2.0), who will work in your diet 345W specifications.
