Compaq 6715 b compatible wireless adapters

Hello world

I currently have a laptop Compaq 6715 b which will not boot with the error ' wireless network device 104 undetected. " System stopped. Remove device and restart. "Currently in the laptop wireless adapter is a Broadcom BCM4311. It is my understanding that this wireless card must be compatible with the laptop. If so, why is it not start? If it is not compatible with the laptop, what cards are?

Thank you.

You need a HP card. It's the compatible map in the maintenance manual:

802.11a/b/g/n Broadcom WLAN modules for use with all models of computer for use in the Canada, the Cayman Islands, Guam, Puerto Rico, the United States and the islands of the virgins 441530-001

The map above will work.

    Thank you very much

    Hi @slapdash2201

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

To answer your questions on compatible wireless cards and memory, I included the maintenance manual:

HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide

Specifications: channel support double DDR3L (1600 MHz), so it is likely that it would just be less quick.

And what follows is listed as of the supported WIFI adapters:

MediaTek MT7630E 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter and adapter Mediatek Bluetooth4.0
    Atheros 802.11b/g/n WiFi AR9485 adapt
    WiFi 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 Ralink RT3290LE and adapter Combo Bluetooth 4.0
    Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter

This doesn't mean you can't try something else, as long as it is compatible in size, but it would mean HP don't would not have custom drivers for it, and so there is no guarantee that it would work.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

    My laptop stats:

  • Problem with the Compaq 6715 network s

    Dears

    I have compaq 6715 s running windows XP SP3

I have a problem with my network connections, whenever I am connected via the LAN port Ethernet, wireless connection is automatically disabled and I can't enable it.

is this normal or should I do something to use both connections at the same time to connect to two different networks.

Thanks in advance for your support

    Hello:

This is perfectly normal, and you can fix it easily also.

Go into the BIOS and in the sub-menu of device configuration, modify the LAN/WLAN, set active to disabled.

Save the setting it by hitting the F10 key and again when you go out (save the settings and exit).

Now the wireless stays on when you connect by using a LAN cable.

  • Compaq 6715 b - upgrade to 802.11a/b/g/n or/AC

I understand that I must pay attention to what network adapter I chose for this laptop (Compaq 6715 b, Win7) olde, but I have a nice 802.11ac new router and I would get this box using the pref/AC or less 802.11n.

    The current adapter is reported as PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4312 & SUBSYS_1371103C & REV_02 (Broadcom Wireless 54bg,

    Broadcom wireless 1490 (dell))

Which, if any, the adapter may seek this gearbox?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

    http://h20628.www2.HP.com/km-ext/kmcsdirect/emr_na-c02834030-1.PDF

The only available for your model Wireless N card is the Broadcom adapter of abgn with the reference number used in the country where you live - 441530-001 or 002-441530.  (Chapter 3, p. 29-30).

You can install a wireless card for your model (not the 6710 (b) and it must have the part number HP on it or it won't work.

My recommendation is to do a search by the part number HP on eBay and get an opportunity but tested and functional.

  • Compatible Wireless + Bluetooth cards

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion Notebook 17-e116dx and it came with a regular 2.4 GHz wireless network card. I was wondering if there was a way for me to switch to a new card in wireless that includes built in Bluetooth 4.0. The NIC in the PC can still be improved? If so, are there compatible maps that I can spend? At the moment it has a Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter.  I use Windows 8/8.1 if that helps.

    Thanks for any help!

  • No compatible network adapters were found - UCSC C220 M3S

    Hi all

I'm a little new to Cisco servers so here my question.

I tried to install esxi on our new server C220 M3S.

But after installation I'm coming to the esxi screen, it says "no compatible network adapters found. Please consult... "

Any suggestions to what could be the problem?

I tried to install different versions of the custom image to esxi Cisco (5.5 5.1 5.0) with the same result.

    / Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

It is possible that the optionROM for the integrated card is not activated.  Try to enable it in the BIOS, you can do so via the MMIC (see attached cimc_enable_optionrom). You also want to verify that this option gets enable in the bios.  You can enter the bios by pressing f2 during boot (see BIOS_Option_ROM)

Also if these are disable, you need to browse again the installation.   See the custom image link below for ESXi 5.5 Cisco.  I noticed that you are using ESXi 5.5 Update 1, but this is not yet supported.

Download CISCO Custom Image for ESXi 5.5.0 GA

  • I'm unable to install the maps on my windows 7 64 bit desktop wireless (adapters computer work all but me)

I tried to use a wireless adapter on my desk because I'm unable to connect it with the ether net cable. I bought this day 2 wireless adapters and both executed in similar problems. They do not install properly on my computer. I tried the two belkin and netgear. Belkin seems to slow down my computer functions and keep him close in commissioning down correctly. NETGEAR has not installed at all. I remember that a previous technician ATT has encountered the same problem 2 years ago. This PC was made to measure.

    Hi Dourlemon,

The problem may be due, if there is a problem in your network card.

    1. what exactly happens when you try to connect the Ethernet cable?

    2. you receive an error code or message?

    3. have you made any recent hardware or exchange of software on your computer before the show?

    4. What are the model numbers of Belkin and Netgear router?

    5. do you have pending updates Windows Installer?

  • Wireless adapters not finding Win8 network connections

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion P6 2340ea running windows 8. I use a Netgear N150 WNA1100 Wireless Network Adapter, this adapter worked fine until the other day when I connected a Bluetooth of Plugable USB BT4LE adapter into the PC. The bluetooth adapter is windows 8 compatible, but the PC does not recognize the bluetooth adapter and the LED on the bluetooth adapter did not indicate that she was supposed to. I unplugged the bluetooth adapter and that's when I realized that my Netgear adapter had stopped working. I plugged the adapter netgear on another pc and it works fine and detects / connects to the network. When plugged into the PC indicated above is present on the control panel of features though but does not detect network connections. I am aware that USB 3.0 devices can cause interference and I don't have any of these connected devices it is excluded. I have uninstalled/reinstalled drivers win8 to the Netgear adapter and this has not solved the problem, I tried other things are as follows: disable activate card, enable/disable antivirus/firewall, netsh winsock reset at the command prompt. I also checked the autoconfiguration WLAN service was running and set to automatic, which it is, then I tried stop and start the autoconfiguration WLAN service and I get the error: error 1503: service has failed to demand launch or control in a timely, I don't know if this has nothing to do with the problem?

I hope I've provided enough information and I've used up so many things to try as possible.

    Thank you.

I tried one last thing before your suggestion less. I started the PC in safe mode with networking, the device does not work immediately, I went into Device Manager and disabled and then activated the device and that he began working again, booted normal backup and everything works fine.

Thank you very much for your help, kudos given.

  • Compatible wireless network cards for Satellite C660D-181

    Hello

is it all the same to discover what are WLAN cards are compatible in my laptop Toshiba C660D-181 girls?

The laptop is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, all drivers/bios are up-to-date.

    I tried...

Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6230 - detects, installs, wifi says "no connection is available" - FN & F8 does nothing

Intel Wifi Link 5100 - detects, installs, wifi says "no connection is available" - FN & F8 allows me to turn on wifi power but still do not see the connections

Atheros AR5BHB92 - detects, installs, wifi says "no connection is available" - FN & F8 does nothing

All of the above cards work in other laptops that we have in the House, Acer Aspire 5741Z (6230 Intel, Intel 5100 Atheros work and detect wifi), Toshiba L655 (Intel 6230 (bluetooth does not work), Atheros and Intel 5100 all work and detect wifi), Toshiba L450D (Atheros works and detects wifi).

I thought that the problem was initially that Toshiba C660D-181 is based on a chipset AMD (like the Toshiba L450D) and no WLAN Intel card would work so I had the Atheros AR5BHB92 cards instead. The Atheros installed and worked immediately in the Toshiba L450D but it won't work in the new Toshiba C660D-181.

Basically, I'm looking for a card that works on 5 GHz. The card that moved into the laptop is a Realtek RTL8188CE is only 2.4 GHz and we have a lot of wireless activity if I was alive, the 5 GHz range is clean and I get amazing speed to use.

    Any help/advice is appreciated.

    > is anyway to find out what are the WLAN cards are compatible in my laptop Toshiba C660D-181 girls?

No, I haven't found any details
I think the compatibility depends on factors such as BIOS or motherboard and this, if it is always different. Any Toshiba or a laptop from another manufacturer supports various BIOS and map different mother (smart)

But in most cases, you can get all compatible parts of a Toshiba service partner... so in all cases where you are unsure, I recommend you ask a favor for a part of comaptible
