Compaq cq40 flashing led forever

Hai. My compaq cq40 is 2 years old. Now, after I connect my mobile samsung usb mode s2. My laptop freezes. I force shutdowned. Now its not not opening. NUM and caps lock led blinking forever. I tried the battery cmos ram of permutation of compensation. Removed wifi card. Nothing helped me. Plsss help me. Also tell me if there is problem in motherboardm how much does cost inr.

If the blink code blink, pause, blink, pause, which indicates that the processor has failed the POST test.

I'm afraid that this will require the processor needs to be replaced to correct the problem.  I'm sorry.

You can try to contact HP to get a quote for how much it would cost to repair and compare that to the cost of having a local PC shop to be repaired.

  • SPDIF out on Compaq CQ40-122AX

I have a Compaq CQ40-122AX, running VISTA home basic sp1.

There IDT High Definition Audio built in and a HDMI output. He also says that it will be an available SPDIF output using a HP/Dock. Now, I'd like to use the SPDIF output, but I am reluctant to by the docking station for £200 as advertised on amazon. In the options for the Soundsetup there is a definition available also SPDIF.

IDT HD Audio Codec driver version: 1.0.5934.0

For IDT HD Audio DEVICE driver version: 6.0.6000.16386

    Only the input/output Audio/video are:

    VGA

    HDMI

    Headphone 3.5 mm

    Microphone 3.5 mm

I had a browse autour and found that some HP models spdif output available via the Jack 3.5 mm as optics, when the adapter is plugged it activates an LED inside and that it moves the optical signal to the Toslink cable.

Adapter cable and optical at Maplin

My question is, the SPDIF is accessible on my model of laptop CQ40-122AX with this configuration without the HP docking station or could there be another way? Since there is not in there, it must be possible to access it somehow, and the docking station just seems too expensive to make sense.

    Look forward to hearing responses.

I use the product bought in Hong Kong, works well with XP and Vista, that's what I tried ebay. The least expensive solution to the s/PDIF output, I found. It is an optical output.

  • Annoying green line glisten under Compaq Cq40 LCD screen

I don't know if it's because of the new BIOS I installed that caused it that I improved F.24 F.30 version and after that all of a sudden there's this green line boring glisten under my LCD... and my temp CPU reaches now to + 60 degrees Celsius, while before upgrading my CPU temp only amounts to 32 degrees Celsius.

I already flashed the BIOS F.30 and now he's back to F.24 the temp went down, but the green line which sparkle under my LCD screen is still there... I checked the new updates to the graphics card but it says that it is up-to-date. so theBIOS has nothing to do with the flickering line after all I thought that it was caused by the high temperature. Haven't bought my laptop in Singapore in February this year no problem until this one

BTW, my laptop is a Compaq CQ40 319TU with Vista Home Premium OS license.

Then, the red LED will Flash for about 15 minutes after a missed call.

  • Xperia Z2 orange flashing led when it is connected to the magnetic charge lead

Hey guys. I bought this phone off of a friend. His three months and works very well. But the other night, I accidentally put the magnetic port on the back and the phone is completely dead. I panicked and I tried every possible combination. I finally got a red when I plugged it into the microusb port. He turned in 10 minutes as usual.

Now, whenever I have fix the magnetic cord (correctly) I get a flashing led orange and the unit charge at all.

What is the flashing orange led average? Warranty covers the magnetic port? I hope someone can help me

Hello everyone. I have problems with the magnetic charge on my Z2 port. He simply not to charge the device. He also was heat when he was in charge via USB. Sometimes, it would not even load!

I was trying to just live with it until one day the phone turned off and never started upward for about a day.

I knew at that stage he had no choice but to request an RMA number for these issues.

When I called to tell them my problems, I told them specifically 'THERE IS a PROBLEM WITH THE MAGNETIC PORT', 'THE PHONE REFUSED to LOAD SOMETIMES' and 'THE PHONE HEATS DURING CHARGE'.

The representative on the other end told me several times that he understands the problem and they will be addressed when he arrived at the repair shop.

So, I packed the phone upward and expelled from Ontario (shipping cost me $40) and thinking that once he comes back, it'll work like it should.

    ---

It's where I've never been more wrong.

I'll be back on the phone today and it opens as soon as I could.

First thing I did, is trying to turn it on. Absolutely nothing. No light, no low battery screen, nothing.

So when I got home, I plugged the thing in a USB AC charger. The first 10 minutes, that there was only one red LED and nothing else.

After 10 minutes, I could see the green of the battery on the screen.

Again 5 minutes later, I was able to turn the phone on. He was sitting at 2%.

What makes me believe that the phone was left or COMPLETELY discharged before shipping. These people in repair facilities don't know how harmful it is for a battery to be discharged to comepletely?

    ---

The second and most outrageous of the thing is the main reason for the phone was sent he was not yet fixed!

I tried to plug in the charger magnetic port (with a spare cord, as well as the docking station) and the phone does EXACTLY the same thing!

In fact, it is an exact quote from that work says:

"THE PHONE IS IN CHARGE AND WORKS WELL. "PLEASE SEND TO THE CABLE USB AND CHARGER IF PROBLEM P-<- they="" didn't="" even="" finish="" the="">

"Software update, direct call, past quality control."

I am so totally outraged and disgusted with Sony now.

Hi, I just got my BlackBerry Curve yesterday and have two questions that left me mouth gaping so far.

    (2) I have retrieve email on my PC for the most and that you want to turn off the blinking red light because I get lots of emails and the light is constantly flashing and boring.

This will cause the unit to not display the red flashing LED and you will not see a red * click the e-mail until the upper part of the screen.

The icon options should be on the device, if you are adamant that you can't find it then I would suggest that reload the software on the device.

Sorry, but will not disable the led red LED, GRAHAM of GOD. Only, it will disable the indicator red star on the e-mail inbox.

To disable the LED indicator, edit your profiles.

    1. Select the profiles icon

    2. a box will appear where you can quickly choose between Loud, vibrate, quiet, normal, phone only, and outside.

    3. If you want to change the notification of messages assigned for device applications, and then select the last option, advanced options

    4. Select the profile you want to change. (Loud, vibrate, quiet, Normal (default), phone only, Off)
Note: on the 8100, 8800 and 8300 models: do not click on the trackball. Instead of this, click on the menu button to the left of the trackball).
Note: The profile that is in use will tell: (active)

    5. you will now see a list of all applications that can have an assigned tone (browser, calendar, level 1 Messages, Messages ([email protected]), Messenger, MMS, phone, SMS, job ect..)

    6. Select the application you want to change the tone / in this case, notification Messages, or your specific e-mail address

    7. you can now edit the tones of the case and Holster / notifications.
    (a) select between: none, Tone, vibrate, vibrate + tone
    (b) select the range that you want to use
    (c) Select Volume (the options are mute, low, medium, high, climbing)
    (d) to select the number of beeps (the options are 1, 2, 3)
    (e) select Repeat Notification (options are None, flashing LED)
    (f) if value vibrator or vibrate + tone and select number of Vibrations (the options are 1, 2, 3)

    8. repeat a to e for each of the applications set out in number 5 above

  • BlackBerry Smartphones flashing led

How to turn signal flashing led?

The answer to this depends on what color it flashes.

If it is red, it's for messages. Go to profile profiles/advanced/active / and change 'Notification to repeat' to none. You will need to do this for each email, sms, mms, telephone, etc...

If it is green, go to Options/screen & keyboard/light cover and change it to off.

If you want to disable the blue for bluetooth connection, go to Options, Bluetooth, Menu, OPtions and change LED indicator connection disabled

Amber is for low battery, either disable or load the BB

That's all I can think about, but I feel that I'm leaving something... If I did, I'm sure someone will jump in and help.

After that I installed Windows 7 in my hp Compaq cq40 laptop monitor leave a 2-inch screen on the right side of the screen. I have set the screen resolution, reinstalled the latest driver. but still the screen is not displayed in full screen. If I install Windows Xp, then the display is in full screen mode. Hello

I suggest you to check if the steps help.

In Windows 7, click on the F11 key at the top of your keyboard. This will make Windows return a mode full-screen.

To cancel the mode full-screen and window restoration to normal display, press the Esc (Escape) key at the top of your keyboard.

Check your graphics card catalyst Center and change the settings from there.

I also suggest you go through the help article and check that it helps.

  • Videos do not play or load flash continuously forever.

I have seen so many questions about it on the internet ask in different ways and was offered many solutions I've tried, but can never seem to find a solution!

The problem is with flash videos does not not in Firefox. The problem has been isolated to just FF, but has now become universal for my other browsers (Explorer and Chrome).

I can see videos on YouTube and various other sites very well, however, other websites for school that force you to watch a video and answer the questions, simply load the video for always and play something that the video is fully charged or simply play the sound but they displayed a miniature frame 'frozen '.

I did everything, ranging from the update of FF and Explorer, Adobe Flash (ActiveX and Plugin version), update Windows 7, "reset" FF, started FF in 'safe mode', uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Flash Player and Shockwave, uninstalled and reinstalled FF, clean the cache and scanned the registry.

There has been two cases where the video read, but that was short-lived. The situation quickly returned to the load forever or play a sound only with the image fixed.

The problem happened since perhaps March 2013.

Might help to know I am running Windows 7, 64-bit, and I am fully updated on all programs and plugins.

    Solved.

Don't know what it was, but crossed the entire list in each tab in "msconfig" and disabled everything except firewall AVG, Adobe and everything associated with MS.

    Works fine now.

    Thank you!

    Hello

How do you know what the flashing of led said you? You are a sort of technician? How can you know that the "blink" (long, short) are 0 and 1.
Do you know how to assemble the circuit board and don't you know that the things you have take care? Who PCB´s that you have exchanged?
    You said:

    Hand and VGA

but the powerpcb too? And how do you know that the PCB´s are ok? Because why someone is selling you that with the 'work' of description?

Would appreciate some feedback from you

  • Re: Portege M100 - does not start, second orange flashing LED

My trusty M100 has developed a serious boot problem. It will not run games just the bios the second (on/standby) LED flashes orange and throw the fan. The RAM and CMOS battery tested OK (of a 2nd machine). By pressing ESC, F1 or F12 just gives a beep. No way to access the Bios Setup. All thoughts

    Hey,.

Nice work you have tested other RAM modules in your laptop Portege because that would be my first suggestion other testing modules RAM :)

In my opinion it s a serious as the motherboard or the CPU but without diagnosis hardware malfunction special tools it of not possible to say more on this subject in particular on this virtual path. If you need to contact an authorized service provider and ask for help. The guys have good diagnostic tools and can help you get rid of this.

If you don t know where the closest to the ASP's, take a look at the Toshiba page!

  • Satellite Pro L300 starts flashing led no-battery

    Hello world

My Satellite Pro L300 stopped working suddenly: nothing terrible happened, such as fall or other accident, so I can't explain what went wrong.

The situation is: I have the laptop with the battery inside and connected to the power cable. I press the power button and battery led 5 times with the orange light just flashes. It doesen't start, not even the fan, just stay still. Same thing if I disconnect the power cable.

If I remove the battery it doesn't blink even led orange.

Does anyone know what could have happened?

Thank you very much and sorry for my bad English!

    Silvia

    Hello Silvia

I can't say for sure, but power led flashing is typical when there is a problem with power supply and electronic power supply.

If you cannot start the laptop with AC power only (remove battery) then you need professional help with this.
Sorry, but I m afraid there is nothing you can do about it.

  • Satellite Pro M30 is suddenly off - flashing LED orange

    Hello

suddenly, my cell phone is turned off. He wasn't on battery, not on the DC - cable. Now, I can't turn it on and the DC adapter does not help, it is not recognized. The 400 p LED flashes orange 8 times in the following code: long-short-short-short-long-long-long-short.

Which means, that I am I supposed to do now?
Can I use another DC-cable from any other laptop to check if it works then? Or it will cause more trouble?

    Thanks for the help!

    Jana, Germany

    HI Jana,

Code orange flashing is an indication of error which can be diagnosed by an authorized Service partner. It usually indicates an error (hardware) in a component in your laptop. I do not think that you will be able to fix it yourself, but you can try a few things like the re-allocation of places the HDD, RAM etc modules.

    Good luck

  • Tecra M9 - will not power on and flashing LED

Can someone tell me where I can find a list of what means the various sequences of flashing of LED on a Tecra M9?

I have one that will not be running at all and the power light flashes a particular model of amber.

    Toshiba Tecra M9
    PTM91E-04R03TEN

    Hello

I think that such a list of error codes for the LEDs are not available. I've never seen such lists on the Toshiba site, I guess they are no longer available to the authorized service provider.

But you can try this: remove the battery and the AC adapter at least an hour. Then connect the two devices again and try to start the laptop.

If it doesn t work an ASP needs to ask for help. They can give you professional help and fix it.
