Compare sizes of many paintings

Background: I made a program that takes 12 inputs and produces a particular movement in my engine based on these values. Now, I want to be able to run a sequence of these motions specified, with different inputs.

I currently have a version where each of the 12 entries are separate tables. If the program is running in what concerns the scalar version with all the elements of the first and then second everything etc. I have do this a little cleanly by building a table of all tables 1 d 2D. The problem is that if the user forgets to enter any cell or one of the paintings is shorter or longer than the other (due to user error), then the gaps are filled with zeros. It's really bad for my program.

Go, I thought to prevent it was ensuring that each table entry is the same size and if they are not then raise an error. It would also be good if not the table 2D fill with zeros, that he might fill it with the default value for each input array.

QUESTION: Is there an easy way to compare the sizes of many tables?

Clearly this always returns true because when I built the table he fills zeros everywhere where a cell was missing.

I would say that your data structure is wrong.  What you need to do, is have a cluster to contain all the settings for one step.  Then you put it in a table.  This ensures that you have a value for each parameter for each step and makes it easier to the bottom of the line becaue you can use ungroup by name instead of having to the index of the right parameter and you keep the correct data type.

    Hi all

    I have a scheme. It has 150 tables. I chose dbms_metadata.get_ddl ('TABLE', 'TABLE_NAME', 'SCHEMA') of double;
It worked for me, but I have 150 paintings. There is a lot of time to do.

Is there a faster way to do?

  • SP2 file size issue.

    Hi guys,.

A small question if you let it. (HP Vista 32-bit SP1)

With SP1 standalone installer was about 400 MB and SP1 is subsequently offered through Windows Update, the size was reduced to about 75 MB .

How is it with SP2 , the standalone installer is the same size as the download offered through WU ? (Seems quite large compared to the SP1.)

    Hello red dawn.

Thank you for using the Microsoft Answers forums.  In order to make the improvements described in this document, individual files and components have been updated. In addition, the independent design of the Windows language requires that service pack be able to update any possible combination of languages base supported by Windows Vista with a single installer, the language files for the 36 basic languages are included in the standalone installer.

These features result in a large stand-alone package, which is the delivery vehicle typically used by system administrators. However, the majority of home users and small businesses will receive SP2 via Windows Update, which uses an effective mechanism of transfer to download only the actual bytes that are changed, resulting in a download approximately 43 megabyte (MB). It is similar in size to many common software and updates to pilot that are delivered by other sellers of software on the internet and therefore should not ask questions for most customers.

  • Size of array allocation on IBM DS3524

    Hello world

It is a question of design on the size distribution of paintings I will deploy next year.

We will buy a DS3524 with 48 drives to meet several needs:

1 unit number logic of the transaction of a few DB VMs in RAID10 logs

1 unit logic for DBs in a RAID5 configuration number

1 for large files in RAID10 logical unit number

2 no intensive generic LUN VMs in a RAID5 configuration

1 unit number logic for some virtual machines from view in RAID10

It is more or less installation (you can make suggestions on this subject too if you want to), we will use 8Gb FC switched model SAN. We went to 2 GB cache on each controller. (Btw, I'm very curious to know what do do this software TURBO option?) I'm very curious to €6000 on a configuration of €25000!)

    We will use vSphere 4.1.

I am eager to understand what Strip size to choose at the level of the table of these LUNs; AFAIK VMFS are automatically aligned so that they are created from the VI Client and size is 128 k (am I right here?)

Then I'll be lining up the file system of the VMS as described by the Vmware Documentation. My problem is that reccomands of Vmware to check all the documents of the seller to choose the block sizes, but I do not seem able to find everything from IBM on this disc matrix model (or any other what is important)

Anyone have any suggestions? Of course performance is the concern here.

Indication on the sizes cluster in virtual machines file systems are also welcome even if it is not so important, so I can compare with my ideas.

    Thank you.

According to IBM RedBook http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redpieces/pdfs/sg247914.pdf default is 128 k, however depending on your needs, you can read the 3.3.8 chapter to know what is best. The RedBook also makes recommendations for use with ESX.

  • file and folder size

Hi, I'm working on a new computer Sunrise and execution including obtaining my backups before day of the load on my new computer.  When comparing a few folders on the hard drive of my main computer, last night made backups don't always correspond to the size and number of files, at least in some cases, but not all.

I use XP on the old system and my backup hard drive is a Seagate.  There are plenty of room on my Seagate for even more data.

For example, my main computer indicates a file like: 168 concerts and 47781 files while the backup shows 167 concerts and 45623.  Another folder on my main computer will display: 657 megs and 45 files while the backup shows 647 megs and the same 45 files.

Can you explain this for me and if there is a way to check that all my information is actually saved properly?  Also, would you recommend the reset of my program to select all the files I want to save as a new start and then, by running another backup backup?  Thank you

There may be several things happening here.

First, make sure you that you compare 'size' of the folder on a drive in the folder 'size' on the other disk and not "size of the folder on the drive."

"Size on disk" is very often not the same as the 'size' (it's usually larger).  This is because the files are stored in "clusters" of a fixed number of bytes.  There is only one file per cluster and so there is almost always unused space.  This is called "soft"

Cluster size represents the smallest amount of disk space that can be used to hold a file. When the size of the files does not come out to an even multiple of the cluster size, extra space must be used to hold the file (up to the next multiple of the cluster size). On the typical disk partition, the average amount of space that is lost in this way can be calculated using the equation (cluster size) / 2 * (number of files).

For example, suppose that you have 12 ounces of water and only 10 ounces cups.  You need two cups - 20 ounces of "storage" - to hold all the water, and one of them is essentially empty.  On the other hand, if you had 4 oz. cups, you would need three cups - 12 oz of "storage" - and would have no unused space.

Cluster size differs between the various files used by Windows systems.  Most use facilities XP NTFS file system, which has a cluster size default to 4 096 bytes (4 KB) for partitions up to 16 TB.  The FAT file system on the other hand, uses a clusters of 512 bytes and 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 KB depending on the size of the partition.

External number of readers is preformatted using the FAT file system.  So if you compare "size on disk" and the internal drive uses NTFS and the backup drive uses FAT, there almost certainly will be a different size "on the disc" between the two.

In your first example (168 GB file), it seems that you can not have guaranteed some hidden or system files.  What software do you use to make the backup?

Most of the good software backup has an option to "check".  Exactly what he is "verified" may be different for different applications, but if it is available in the software you have, you have to use.

  • The font size for all that continues to change.

The size of police applications, toolbars, icons, menus, bars, all of a sudden has very low after an interruption of the screen black/secession, which lasted less than a minute.  Same thing happened a few weeks ago except that everything was very grand.  What is happening and how I can fix this?  I can hardly read anything right now and I found last time that I cold not to change the font size in many cases.

Check your display card drivers... Click Start-> settings-> Control Panel-> system-> hardware-> Device Manager. Also check that you have yellow exclamation marks next to the display adapter.

  • Size of file to export to youtube

    Hello

After reading some of the comments new regardind users, I am a bit hesitant to ask my question. This is my first post.

Nothing venture nothing has nothing, so this is.

I have a Panasonic X 900 camcorder, which produces excellent pictures at full HD1080i. (AVCHD PAL))

The file from the camera is a. M2ts which I believe is a variant of mpeg. A light typical of 3 minutes is on 300meg.

I'm used to create a sequence of the clip, and then change the clip.

So far so good when I export for use on a DVD.

I was invited to the video someone do a dance sequence and put it on YouTube.

(300meg of original file size) Try many parameters, the smallest, I can get my output file is using H.264 with a widescreen YouTube SD 360 Preset and gives me 28meg.

I see many. MP4 videos on YouTube 10 minutes or if they are still that 50meg and have a reasonable quality of full-screen.

I tried importing those and create a sequence of her but they are normally NTSC and 29 frames per second.

On this basis, I shot a 9 minute clip and it exported as H.264 etc if still about 70meg.

I tried to reduce the target bit rate and he certainlyreduces size of the file but poor quality.

If that's the best that can be achieved, then so be.

Any suggestions on how to get a reasonable quality result while maintaining reasonable file size would be appreciated.

    Concerning

    Brian

Just use one of the Youtube in H.264 presets in the export of parameters.

You don't have to worry about the size of the file.

    Export to the big screen.

  • Black bars above and below my images in the exported in MPEG and AVI video

Hello.  This is my first time to be on this forum.  I made a video for the banquet of my grade 5 class which is TOMORROW NIGHT, .  My video looks awesome on the timeline, but when I export an MPEG or AVI, some images appear not to the top of the way they do on my calendar.  For example, many paintings have a black bar above and below the image that is not on my calendar first elements 11.  I pray that I can fix it because I'm willing to stay up ALL night to understand.  Everyone on here who can help me, pretty please?  Thank you!!

    Welcome to the forum.

Black bars indicate a discrepancy between the size of the frame of the project and the Source of the images/photos.

  • Apple Watch 42 or 38 mm?

    Hello!

Which sized watch would you recommend for a 17 year old?  I wonder if the 42 would be too big for his wrist?  I have not seen these sizes in person, so any advice would be helpful.  I wonder if the 42 would just look huge on her wrist.  Thank you!

If possible, try on Apple Watch at an Apple Store or another dealer.

Don't forget that strips of length vary. If you buy online, it can help to measure the circumference of the wrist, then check length of belt details. In the Apple Store online, on the product page for any given watch band, see product information > overview.

You can also compare the sizes shows using the Apple Store app on iPhone:

    • In the Apple app Store, go to: shop (tab) > Apple Watch > choose a model (e.g. Sport) > tap on compare sizes.
    • This will show the cases of 38mm and 42mm at their actual size, so you can hold them against your wrist to see what they would look like.
  • Bookmarks - convert places.sqlite in .xlsx (Excel) - how?

    I installed SQLite Manager 0.8.1

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/SQLite-Manager/

Go to the file Explorer / Show Hidden objects (so that you can see App Data, then)

Place a copy of the places.sqlite in C:\temp (working copy)

    C:------users------Username------App Data-Roaming-Mozilla-Firefox------profiles------long chain------places.sqlite

Go to the menu at the top left drop-FF / Web Developer / SQLite Manager

... it opens the program in a new window

    Within the program, go to:

    Database / database connection / C:/temp/places.sqlite

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

You will see many paintings. Both are relevant, I think that are:

moz_bookmarks / browse and look for the tab

all new bookmark titles are here below, even those not in the unsorted folder, but the URL are not here!

the titles seem to be added in ascending order, according to the id

moz_places / browse and look for the tab

all new titles to bookmark, and URL, are here, they are not easily identified, you need to use Ctrl + F

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

    To export tables:

Right-click on the table / Export Table.

CSV tab / [check] first line contains column names

Comma, double quotes, save the CSV export settings

OK / save it on the desktop as a CSV file

Open the CSV file, and then save it as a xlsx

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Question: How can I get my title and URL?

    There's more 17 000 lines in moz_places.

I would like to put all new bookmark to Unsorted, however, so the question is, how do you identify the?

    This seems possible.

Otherwise, if I could add the URL column to moz_bookmarks, then I could just export that. I would like to work from a copy... but it doesn't look like SQLite Manager will allow me to do.

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I also installed: SQLite Database Browser, Version 2.0b1

    http://sourceforge.NET/projects/sqlitebrowser/

I try to open places.sqlite with it, and nothing happens. No idea why? THX.

You can easily get the date in a readable format by converting the format of the time Unix date/time format:

SELECT a.id AS ID, a.title AS Title, b.url AS URL, datetime(a.dateAdded/1000000,'unixepoch') AS DateAdded
    FROM moz_bookmarks AS a JOIN moz_places AS b ON a.fk = b.id

I don't think it matters what table is open when you paste the code in the text box "Execute SQL" to run the code.

What you see here by default in just one example of code you can change depending on what you want.

The current versions of Firefox can use a version of SQLite that is more recent and is not supported by SQLite Database Browser.

You must add a < br > to make the forum start on a new line or place text in < pre > and < / pre > tags for the largest bloc. A line that starts with a space is automatically placed between PRE tags.

  • OSX Server caching does not work after update

It was low on my priority list, but the OSX Server that we run in the House for the caching seems to have stopped caching; from what I remember, it was related to the update software to 10.11.4 of what it was before, and server software everything that has been installed to 5.1. Updates both to the latest versions now have not helped. It of kind of frustrating, but all he puts in cache are now asking that makes for itself. No customer request is visible. It worked before.

There seems to be no useful diagnostic that I can find to establish why the hell it suddenly does not work.

Platform: Mac Mini, "the end of 2014", bought this year. OSX currently on 10.11.5; 5.1.5 Server

Network configuration: IP public addresses multiple; several subnets.

Clients do not use the same IP address as a server.

Full assignment of the IP of the site listed in _aaplcache._tcp TXT DNS records (plural - because I did it for the DNS records for each subdomain DNS LAN client) using the type prs; DNS is on Windows Server 2012R2. Any length of characters, because they were not specified during the installation of OSX Server cached the required DNS records.

No firewall is between the server and clients on the local network (only a L3 switch), but obviously, if the customer traffic leaves our network, it passes through a firewall. No change to the rule group since it worked finally.

The Mac Mini has an interface (with IP address and corresponding DNS record) in each subnet of the client (using virtual LANs), but it seems to register with the Apple servers using its main wired LAN IP (which can reach customers) with the Apple servers.

Mac Mini connects via gigabit ethernet.

Wireless connectivity is through a mix of HP MSM and Ubiquiti access points; no system seems to result in customer traffic.

My understanding of the protocols involved are something along these lines.

-OSX server registers with Apple, using its normal connection; transmits the local LAN IP address for the cache clients to use; can pass TXT DNS records to help "seed" of customers, or can use the parameter entry in the cache server configuration.

-Customers use the TXT DNS record to inform the global servers of Apple that they need the IP address of the server cache.

-Apple returns the local LAN IP address.

-The customer is for the server cache.

    -Profit.

I certainly see the first happening party - the Debug.log show apparently successful registration; the cache in the applet Server service is green - but no client request seems to happen.

Obscured address IP addresses are correct.

Things are green and just seem to.

Looks like he should be happy.

IPs are correct and correspond to the DNS records.

Help! What other steps can I take to diagnose - and trouble - this problem? The Apple Help documentation is not really very useful (I understand what he says), but he doesn't really give sysadmin level overview of what to do when he's not "just works".

Thanks in advance for all understand how to debug properly and fix this.

.. .clients can and collect software on the internet (that we want to avoid as much as possible).

Amount of updated data in cache is so small that I did it (reset button) in the case which has been randomly a question. No joy. Was previously more than 300 GB in size, across many types of content.

If it is not clear, the clients and servers using NAT, but different IP are used, depending on the subnet they come. He previously worked.

  • Why print them from iOS Safari webpage is extensively large?

    I have a Web site, in including CSS, I specified "@media print {body {make-size: 10pt}...} '.

It works fine when you print browsers portable (including the last Safari, Chrome and Firefox and for what it's worth, on a printer Epson, OSX 10.11.4...)

When I print from iOS (9.3.1) Safari) the printing is plenty big!

NB., printing is done via Wi - fi.

NB., the site is fixed to "max-width: 31em '... and iOS Safari fills the document to the width, while laptop browsers comply with the specified font size and many leave spaces on either side of the printing block.

I can't find this documented anywhere behavior. Is it possible to avoid it? (Like in CSS)?

Solved the problem [unknown cause] by specifying quite literal "font-size: 1388888889" in"media @print.

I'm thinking maybe the @media print must have "cascaded" an adjustment of the size of the font for @media * the screen-based * application for mobile devices... Who would have thunk?

  • Tips for Windows users who have chosen Macintosh

    Hello!

If you read this discussion, so I'm assuming that you are now the proud owner of an iMac. Congratulations for your choice and welcome in the Macintosh community! The purpose of this discussion is to create a reference guide for users who have recently acquired a Mac and learn how to do many basic tasks as we used to do in Windows, but on a Macintosh instead. I will do my best to add content to this guide based on the feedback of the community, but for now, here is a list of topics that I find very useful for the first time that Mac users.

    Q: "that Mac has a right-click?

A: right-click functionality is present on your Mac. If you use a third party with two buttons separate, then mouse right click is available in the same way that you're used to. If you opted to use the mouse Magic Mouse, you can activate "secondary click" by opening system preferences (the silver gear on your dock icon), by selecting 'Mouse' and check 'secondary click. " Now, the right side of your mouse Magic Mouse will provide right click functionality. Alternatively, you can press the control key on your keyboard while you press the button on your Magic Mouse to have access to the same functions. If you use the Magic Trackpad, you can enable secondary click in the same way you would with the Magic Mouse, but you will be rather type the Magic Trackpad with two fingers in order to access, click on functions.

Q: "is there a keyboard shortcut that works like Alt + F4 to close the Mac?"

A: there are indeed shortcut that allows you to stop your Mac from your keyboard. Press command + Eject and you will see a menu that says "restart, sleep, cancel, Shut Down. By default, 'Shut Down' is already highlighted, which means that all you have to do is press the Enter key. Just like that, you closed your Macintosh.

Q: "what is the keyboard shortcut to close an application?

A: for closing of an application you are using, press command + Q. Note that by tapping on the red circle (or red x, depending on which version of Mac OS X you are running) in the upper left corner of your application window does not close the application. By pressing the red circle only will leave the current application window, but keep the app running in the background.

Q: "is there is start menu? How can I find my installed applications? »

R: OS X, the advanced operating system that powers your Macintosh, manages the launch of applications and the user interface of Windows separately. First of all, installed applications can be read of Launchpad. To access Launchpad, you can click on the rocket icon silver on your dock (the dock is the place where a row of icons for application on the bottom of your screen). Alternatively, you can press the Launchpad shortcut key on the keyboard that came with your iMac. The shortcut key for Launchpad is F4. Second, you can use the Finder to display each application, the document or the file that is currently on your computer. Finder is the blue smiling icon on your dock, also known as the "Happy Mac" icon Open Finder, and listed on the sidebar will be the Applications folder, which will be an alphabetical list of all your applications.

Q: "How do we install an application?

R: If you use the Mac App Store to buy your software, everything you have to do is click on 'Install' once you have bought the application. If you use an application that sits on a DVD - ROM, or that you have downloaded from the Internet, then there are two methods that you will encounter. The first method is via an installation wizard, similar to Windows. Just follow the instructions given by the installation wizard, and the installer will do the rest. The second and the most common method is to mount the .dmg file (.dmg is an extension of a disk image file) by double-clicking it, and then dragging the icon of the application in your Applications folder. You can access your Applications folder in the Finder.

    Q: "how to ". uninstall applications? »

A: the process of uninstalling applications on a Macintosh computer is fairly simple and often does not require the user to face a "Uninstall Wizard. Open the Finder, blue, smiling face icon located on your dock. Select 'Applications' in the sidebar. Locate the icon of the application that you want to install, and then you click-and - drag the icon to the trash icon on your dock. Once the application of the Recycle Bin icon, you can open the trash and choose "Empty" in the upper right. Just like that, your application is removed from your Macintosh.

Q: "How do I find my Mac for files and applications.

R: OS X and its antecedent, Mac OS, introduced the innovation, fully integrated desktop search, first with Sherlock and now with the projector. To access Spotlight, you can click on the magnifying glass icon in the upper right of the bar at the top of your screen. Once you click this icon, you will need to type in a search field. Start typing the name of the folder, file, document or application you are looking for, and Spotlight will provide a list by category that matches the query expression, you typed.

Q: "How do I defragment my hard drive?

A: Unlike Windows, OS X uses the HFS + file system. By default, HFS + automatically defragments the files on your hard drive. In other words, you have nothing to do at all, that OS X is "smart" enough to handle this task on its own. Please note that there are some third-party defragmentation tools that are available online. Avoid these tools, not only because they are unnecessary, but also because they run the risk of harming your Macintosh, rather than help them.

Q: "How do I clean the registry?

R: OS X does not make use of a registry to store application settings. Applications running in OS X are, for the most part, autonomous. So there is no registry for your management.

Q: "what is the equivalent of Mac Control Panel?

R: on the Macintosh, the 'System Preferences' is the tool that allows users to manage things like wallpaper, devices, user accounts, network settings and much more. "System preferences" can be found by clicking the gear icon money on your dock, or using the dashboard to choose "System Preferences" icon or by opening Finder, select 'Applications' in the sidebar and clicking on the icon "System Preferences."

Q: "what is the equivalent of Mac of MS Paint?"

A: Macintosh is a great computer to create media rich content and Apple offers several solutions for the production of such content. However, Apple does not provide equivalent software workaround for MS Paint. There are however a number of fantastic offers from third parties that provide a comparable and in many ways, superior functionality. I recommend an app called GIMP, acronym for "GNU Image Manipulation Program". GIMP has no monetary cost and may be acquired from the GIMP project site. Alternatively, you can use the Mac App Store and download a tool such as supreme paint, which is a tool of low-cost ($4.99 at the time of this writing) which also offers features similar to MS Paint and GIMP. Here are links to each

    GIMP: https://www.gimp.org/downloads/

    Supreme paint: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/supremepaint-fully-functional/id993977111?mt=12

Q: "what is the equivalent of Mac of Windows Movie Maker"

A: every new Mac comes with the suite iLife software, including Garageband and iMovie. iMovie is a robust application that offers edition advanced functions and effects not found in Windows Movie Maker. If you are interested in a more powerful tool, Apple also offers Final Cut Pro, which offers a studio quality editing solution, with an interface that is familiar to users of iMovie.

Q: "what is equivalent to Mac from Windows Media Player?"

A: every Mac is QuickTime Player, a media player that supports a number of media formats, including AIFF, MP3, MP4, WAV, JPEG, MPEG files and many others still. If you play a DVD, you will need to use the DVD player, which is a separate application that is preinstalled on your Mac. Alternatively, you can use iTunes to watch and listen to all the same formats of files supported by QuickTime Player. You can also buy movies on the iTunes store and watch them in the iTunes application.

The use of a Mac is extremely simple, millions of PC users are passed successfully (including myself 10 + years), it takes very little time to become proficient.

Moreover, drefragging a HD is not necessary on a PC and not a Mac. It is the thought of the early 1990s and was not necessary for many years. If you start playback as the two links provided, you will find all your answers, more I HIGHLY recommend that you look at the site of Apple OS X, located at http://www.apple.com/osx/

Good luck and welcome to the light side.

  • Qosmio G20-139 - where I can get a good price?

    Hello world

I am looking for a Qosmio G20-139. Anyone know where I can get a very good price? I'm hoping not to spend more than £1200.

    Thank you

    Chris

    Hello

Well, I found an information that this laptop costs about £1,400
    Check this site:
    http://UK.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/product_page.jsp?service=UK&PRODUCT_ID=108723&Tosh ibaShop = false & retailer = true

But in my opinion you should google a little and compare prices, because many online stores offer this laptop and price, the differences are a lot.
