  Usually, right-click on the file or folder and clicking the properties option will give the details of the file or folder. The details include, type, size, location, size of the file on the disc etc.

  CMD-SHIFT-g is quite a search function. It allows you to enter the path of the folder you want to open. What you think "seeks" the current folder is really thin path. If you enter no previous path information, it looks in the current working directory to the folder name you typed in the dialog box.

  You can set the default search starting location in Finder preferences. I have mine for current folder. Looks like you might prefer "search this Mac".

  One option is to add the following parameter to the file vmx of your comments (with comments turned off and closed player).

  Personally, for any AV I always exclude my file to the root of the VMS under analysis, given that the files are constantly changing and open, and the files themselves do not contain viruses.   There is no problem to use the dash or underscore. I have never tried creating a file name with a period in it (except for the file extension), so I don't know.

  Which brings a question side... most people don't much worry about the details of the file and the file naming... There are ways to organize, using keywords and other metadata in Lightroom, where these questions about the file and the file naming disappear... Add as many keywords as you had huge and similar legends long with all kinds of special characters, this isn't a problem. Using the folder and file names as organization tool has some limitations.

You can uncheck the checkmarks next to folders in the Destination Panel on the right side of the import dialog box.

You cannot select the disk, but you can select "All photos" at the top of the left panel. You can also shift-click all the top-level folders under a volume to select them all.

Right click on the folder that is currently higher level in your folder pane and select 'Add parents' until you are satisfied with the hierarchy. When you reach the parent level you want, you can click the folder parent for select you all files of a certain drive, as you asked the question #3.

  I've set up a GPO that synchronizes user files to a network, for example, the My Documents folder location.  The client machine is running W7 Pro x 64.  Assume that the primary user of the machine is user1.

  Sync Center displays an error.  The error reads 'Documents. (\\Server\Profiles$\User2).  Access is denied. »

  Obviously, the problem here is that despite being connected as long as User1 tries to synchronize the user folders to other profiles on the computer the folder redirection, whether they are connected or not.

  We never seen this before and if so has anyone ever managed to find a solution to this problem on a shared machine?
