compatibility of cartridges

Hello

I had an all in a hp PSC 1513, which was bought in the Middle East and now using in India. As the cartridge has been exhauxted and the technician told me that I need to replace it, I was looking for the same (132 HP) to buy a. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anywhere in India. Later, when I searched on the HP site I learned that they divided the world in 4 areas and India falls within Zone 4 and I found my printer was Zone 3 and is 132 HP. Again, when I searched for the compatible cartridge for HP 132, I have found it's 850 HP which is easily available in India. And I spent a few Indian rupees equivalent to $ 15 and bought for 850 HP. To my surprise, the printer refuses to accept this cartridge. some body tell me why this happened?

At the present time, then the printer is configured to use cartridges ONLY in Zone 3. I suggest that you call the Technical Support HP in India and ask them to reset regionalization in your current area.

  • Help! Problem with ink cartridge compatibility Photosmart C4383 in my current position

Need your help! I bought my printer in the Middle East almost 2 years already Photosmart C4383 with ink cartridges 140 (black) & 141 (tricolor).  Since then, I have in my country now, resides in the Philippines and I always use the printer.  This week, I already have run out of ink Supply and decided to buy a.  Since then, I bought the printer in another country, I decided to check the site to ensure the compatibility of ink cartridges.  The results stated that the Photosmart C4383 belongs to the Photosmart C4380 series and it also says here that HP74 (black) & HP75 (HABs) are the compatible cartridges for the printer in my area.  Since then, I always have the tricolor ink cartridge available 141, I decided to buy only the HP74 (black) ink cartridge.  But when I place the HP74 (black) ink cartridge for my printer, I was surprised to see in the display as the ink cartridge, I bought is not compatible with the printer. I was so disappointed because if I can't use the product then I lose money and and check again and again in the sights of compatibility of ink in my area said but still the same thing as HP74 (black) is the compatible ink cartridge and also saw a result stating to "reset the printer to work in my current position."  Need your help to enlighten me and give me the right solutions to these problems and the steps how to make good sense.   I need to use my printer so badly. Thank you.

You will need to Contact HP and require a reset of regionalization.  It will take you have access to your computer and printer so that on the phone with HP agent.  If the C4383 is a model only sold in some regions it is not possible to have the region reset.

    Hello Adeel.

You will not be able to make such, HP will only reset the printer to the region that you located, and not for a different region.

As a reference, you can find the following document, HP will assist only reset of the printer for your country:

  • Compatibility problem of printer cartridge for HP 1000 J110A

After the installation of HP cartridge 61XL get incompatble printer cartridges but in the box, it was claearly showing the J110A printer model.

Thanks for tracking information. Seeing that the first set of cartridges was the 122 HP, those are used for printers zoned for Africa. 61 HP are zoned to North America, so the printer will have to be re zoned to use the HP 61.

Contact HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 for all other regions, click here.

  • Compatibility problem with OfficeJet H470 and cartridge HP 138 (C9369HE)

Just bought a new photo of HP C9369HE-cartridge for my printer H470b and have an incompatibility problem. The cartridge does not fit into the socket of the cartridge, because the edge of plastic on top of the cartridge.

Have you checked the cartridge on SureSupply model - it is in the list of compatible cartridges.

No original HP black cartridge? or there are different modifications of the HP OfficeJet H470b printer?

  • How to remove, head clean print Photosmart C6380. 6515 Photosmart ink cartridge compatibility

I had found information several months ago on how to remove and clean the print head, but I can't find it now.  I replaced the Photosmart C6380 with a 6515 Photosmart because when the 6380 stopped working I had to buy a large amount of ink and the 6515 used the same ink cartridge #.  However, the 6515 will not accept the cartridges with the error message they are an older generation.  I think that if the cartrides were not compatible, a number of different cartridge should be used.  So now, I want to try to solve the problem with the C6380 printhead, so I don't have to trash my entire ink supply.

Here is a document on how to clean the contacts on the cartridges themselves.

I think that the removal of the print head and of cleaning you're wanting is in this post here.

Please note that soaking the print head should only be performed on the print heads that are out of warranty. Check that warranty end date to the printhead located by the contacts on the print head to make sure he went from warranty. The reason I put in custody which is a printhead soaking, a guarantee will be cancelled.

  • C310b: compatibility cartridge HP photsmart c310b

I have a HPc310b (part number checked on label printer) photosmart printer bought in Saudi Arabia.  According to HP, the C310 series uses different cartridges depending on what region of the world you buy the printer.  It's a marketing ploy or cartridges are really different?

I want to buy HP compatible cartridges while I'm in the United Kingdom but vendors claim that their compatible HP364 will work in my c310b even if the printer was supplies with HP178 cartridges, a number in the United Kingdom providers do not recognize. The 364 s look identical.

As I'm in England on vacation and the printer is stiil in Saudi Arabia I won't have the opportunity to try and get a refund if they do not work.  HP have not responded to my request for further information, which makes me think this IS just a marketing ploy.

Can we really know if 364 cartridges will work in my c310b?

    Hey @Stevecooke,

    No problem!

Normally out of warranty phone support is paid. However, it should be free to regionalize the printer. You may need to speak with a supervisor/Director of research to complete the steps of regionalization, because I do not think all agents have access to the reset of the special measures for printers.

    Good luck!

    Hello

How do fill you? You also need to reset the chip too, otherwise it will not be printed. How to reset it, well, you need a Resetter or pay a professional to reset. In short: buy the new ink.

JUST FYI, they are unable to work.

  • Compatibility cartridge - HP 1510

When I bought my HP 1510 I was conquered by a free black cartridge (not HP), "alternative for HP 61".  I thought it would be ok, given the assurance of HP than the 1510 accepted 61 HP and 301 cartridges.

But the printer rejects alternative HP 61, saying: it is no longer supported.

Is there a way I can make it work?  Or do I have to do battle with the store?

Very well, please mark this accepted solution while others can search and find the answer.

  • B210a (CN216A): compatibility cartridge

When I go through the troubleshooting for my B210a (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Photosmart-Plus-e-All-in-One-Printer-series---B210/4021933/mo...  -Solution #5), one of the options is to replace the printhead with a CN634A print head.  All the information I can find, it is a printhead 920.  My B210a uses 564 cartridges.  It of the correct print head or not?  If this is not the case, what would be the right pair?  CN634A images look exactly like mine, while 564 print heads I've seen have an additional cartridge slot.

    Hello

Yes, the B210 uses the printhead of CN643A like you can find below as a reference, the print head is identical to the 564 ink cartridges and 920:

      • Photosmart Pro: B8553, B8558

There is a question to keep in mind: HP has changed the design of the 564 cartridges a few years ago.  The new cartridges will work in older printers but not vice versa.  If your cartridges have a date of 'end of warranty' (found on the lower back right side of the package) before September 2012, they are the old cartridges.

  • HP Deskjet 1050 model j410a: cartridge compatibility issue

I bought my model printer J 410 HP Deskjet 1050 in India nearly three years ago, I used to install 802 small cartridges as replacement. I recently moved to UK and when the printer ran out of cartridge I installed HP 301 replacements cartridges since 802 small cartridges are not sold in the United Kingdom, but the printer could not recognize these cartridges and the printer utility Toolbox displays the message of incompatibility with the blinking lights on the control panel of the printer. How can I solve this problem. Thanks for help.

You will need to Contact HP to ask a "regionalization Reset." Do not charge for this, it is covered under the warranty of the cartridge. You will need to have access to your computer and printer then on line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once completed reset cartridges of region of origin no longer works.  Webpage of HP on the subject is here.
