Why my printer does not print with Windows 8?

Did you just upgraded or purchased a new computer with Windows 8, and now you can't get your printer to work?  If so, this can help you.  Many people have questions about the installation of their printer on a new OS.  This will help you answer these questions and make sure you get everything installed.

    Before you start

Before you try to install the printer on a Windows 8, you should check to make sure that the printer is compatible with the new OS.  The link below will give you a list of printers that will work in Windows 8.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03168175

If you have upgraded your computer to Windows 8 formed another version of Windows, make sure all software uninstall complete of your printer.  It should still print, but to use all the features, you will need to reinstall the software, if available.

Another thing to consider is how you want to connect the printer to the computer.

    1. USB.  You must ensure that you have a USB cable which does not exceed 6 feet (about 2 m).  Be sure to connect the printer directly to the computer.  Do not use a USB hub.

    2. Ethernet cable.  Make sure you have the network configuration, you have a free cable port on the router, and you have an available Ethernet cable.

    3. Wireless.  You must ensure that you have the configuration of the wireless network, and you have the password of the wireless network.

    1. installation Via USB

Installation via USB in Windows 8 became much simpler for users of HP printer.  In other versions of the Windows operating system, you need to launch the installation and wait that it asks for the USB connection.  If you do not, you will need to uninstall the printer from the devices and printers folder and then launch the installation.  In Windows 8, which won't be a problem.  If you plug the USB cable from the printer and then install the printer software, work remains.  Now for in depth instructions on installing the printer via the USB port click on the link below.

2 installation Via an Ethernet network connection

For an Ethernet connected printer, the installation is disconcerting.  All you have to do is to connect the printer to the network.  Once you have done so, Windows 8 will automatically install the drivers for you.  Then, all you have to do is install the rest of the software, if available.  It's really as simple as that.

3 installation Via a wireless network connection.

For a wireless printer, network installation is disconcerting.  All you have to do is to connect the printer to the network.  Once you have done so, Windows 8 will automatically install the drivers for you.  Then, all you have to do is install the rest of the software, if available.  It is roughly the same as just Wireless Ethernet installation.

    Alternative installation methods

With Windows 8, the drivers of many printers are installed with the operating system.  These are called pilots InOS, since they come built-in to the operating system.  If you have one of these printers, you should have to do simply connect it to the computer via USB, or connect to the network via Ethernet or wireless.  Once you have that makes Windows will take care of the rest.  There are other methods of installation of your printer if normal methods don't work for some reason any.  You can install the printer is using the printer, or through Windows Updates Setup Wizard.

    Set printer wizard:

    Windows Update:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03460648

Note: The drivers of Laserjet for the Asia-Pacific and the Japan will come only at a later date.  See below the link support site for the availability of the driver.  I will update this post once they become available.

    Hope that answers some questions.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus: I'm trying to troubleshoot printer with Windows 10.

I removed my original pilot, launched my CD orig who downloaded correctly.  When I go to find in my device Mgr it sees and as to continue through the wizard to add to my HP Pavilion he asks that I add the "WPS" I can't find it anywhere in my manual or my printer.  How can I get my WPS so I continue and restore this printer with Windows 10 settings?  Then I should be able to download your drivers 'full foot' and the laptop talk to the printer (at least I hope it's going to happen).  Currently you can only print via USB then please get back to me with an answer as soon as possible.

  • Anyone know of any compatibility issues with Windows 8 and RV series routers?

I have a small network with a laptop computer, Windows 8, Windows XP desktop computer and a network MyBookLiveDuo storage device. I have sharing enabled between these devices. Everything worked well on a network switch. I replaced the switch with the RV110W VPN Firewall Router to add better security to my network before I have expand it. Since then, I have a laptop Windows 8 intermittent connectivity while the connectivity of the XP desktop computer shows no problem.

On the laptop Windows 8 I ran network troubleshooting, and he complained that two devices on the network are (NAT) network address translation and the symptoms he describes is what I see. Problem is that I don't have a network Analyzer to look at the network in more depth. I looked online for the RV110W documentation and if NAT is listed as one of the characteristics, there is no discussion in the documentation on how to manage this feature in the router.

I can connect to the Windows 8 laptop from Office XP and access shared content. I can connect to the Duo since Office XP without difficulty. However, except when they reappear periodically under the heading of my network in Explorer on the laptop Windows 8, I can't access the Office XP or the Duo of the laptop Windows 8. Curiously, however, I have a part of the Duo mapped as a network drive on the laptop Windows 8 and I can access it even when everything else has gone. Also, the interface of management for the Duo appears on the laptop Windows 8 and I can access the Duo to manage. Only, I can't access the shares on the Duo. Then all of a sudden they reappear under network in the file Explorer and I can then access. I think it must have to do with NAT, but I can't find anything out about it.

If it's something I can turn on the router long enough to see if the problem goes away I would like to try, but I can't find it in the documentation, and I can't find it when I look aroiund in the management interface.

The fact that I am not having the form of the XP desktop computer problem makes me think that a compatibility issue with Windows 8. Does anyone know if Windows 8 did anything with NAT? I try to get help from Microsoft Technical Support, but their level 1 tech told me to call Tech Support Pro when they open later this morning. Support cat Cisco won't open until Monday at 09:00.

Also, throughout this connection problem Internet from the laptop through the router is never interrupted. It's strictly connectivity with other devices on the internal network that comes and goes.

    Hi Gregg,

NAT must not play unless your applications on the internet. The "port Internet" or "WAN port" is a NAT port that converts your public IP address from ISP to your LAN subnet addresses. NAT allows multiple computers on a network to use 1 public IP address.

If your devices are connected to the Ether "LAN ports" they are not affected by NAT unless they are Web applications. 4 'LAN ports"are 2 layer switch ports. This means that all local requests are forwarded by the switch ports.

This device did replace exactly? The XP computers, DUET and window 8, make these products using the static IP address or you allow the RV110 to assign an IP address automatically? What IP address you are using on the LAN of the RV110?

  • Printer with windows 8.1 compatibility

My Bank Web site allows me to view and print images of my canceled checks. When I was running Windows 7 on my LaserJet 1020 has worked very well. But with Windows 8.1 it wouldn't print the images themselves - only two empty boxes and the surrounding text. I then bought a new HP LaserJet Pro P 1102w having been said it was compatible with Windows 8.1. Now, I have exactly the same problem with the new printer. I don't have this problem when I attach my laptop running Windows 7 on the new printer. Everything I print. I short, I don't think that my new printer is fully compatible with Windows 8.1. I could not download "Full solution" to HP. How can I get it on a CD?

    Hi Flyfish66,

The most likely problem in the browser that you use with Windows 8. It's probably a different version of when you were using Windows 7.

What browser do you use? AOL?

Try using a different browser to see if have the same results. (Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer)

Using another browser other AOL then, when you download the drivers.

If you are able to print with the different browser, please contact AOL support for assistance in using this browser.

    Thank you.

  • Designjet 130: Two printers Designjet 130 do not print with Windows 10

I have two printers Designjet 130. Both work fine with XP/Vista/Windows 7. They do not work with 10.

I spent 20 hours trying to get these things to work with no luck. I tried TWO different machines running windows 10 does not. These printers are running via a USB connection.

I can install, make the printer by default and PRINT TEST page! I can also print from the HP Scan DR who assures me that all is well. However, when I go to a program such as Notepad, they will not print. Notepad returns an error "The deal invalid. I tried researching this message, but it leads to good spirits more that I can understand.

My machine is a processor Intel X 5960, 32 GB of memory and a motherboard Asus x 99 Deluxe.

I tried to launch the installation of the HP software in a variety of modes compatible with no luck.

I'm out of ideas other than to roll back my 7 software, which I really don't want to do.

    Thanks in advance.

Ok. I finally solved this problem. I went to the HP site and even ONCE downloaded the driver Designjet 130.

    Download driver on Dec30, 13:34 had a 2 652 k file size

Today at 11:53 driver has a file size of 3099 KB.

    Maybe they (HP) fixed.

Maybe my original upload has been altered.

    Very simply:

Connect your printer. Windows will find and automatically install the USB printing as well as a device driver option. This driver won't work, however, you end up being able to print a test page. This ultimately will always be a false confirmation. The driver version 7.00 is for Vista, Windows 7 and 8. It doesn't work in either compatibility mode.

    Go ahead:

    Go to devices and printers.

A series of beautiful graphic icons opens.

    Double-click your printer.

Double click on "customize your printer.

    Go to the about tab.

Check your installed printer driver version

10 Windows will install default v7.00 and will keep you in saying he has the best version

    available. Don't believe that.

The Hewlett Packard scanner DR software will tell you the same thing.

    Do not think that either.

You want to version 8.10. It is available on the site of HP in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Download it. I unzipped in a folder on my desktop.

Now, go to the Device Manager.

Scroll down to "printers". Click on.

    Right click on your printer.

    Click on "Update driver software"

Do not click on the first option by default.

Do not click on "Browse my computer for driver software".

Click on "Search for driver at this location software '-specify the folder on your desktop and select"include subfolders. "

Click Browse. The software will make a satisfying update.

Return to the file "Devices and printers" and the option "customize your printer.

Double-click. Return to the 'About' tab and confirm that driver version 8.10 is installed.

Close to everything and to print something.

Just to check myself, I printed my second document to confirm a nagging doubt.

The impression is confirmed. Good year for me and anyone else reading this.

Windows XP: "your system does not meet the minimum requirements of the system" Message appears on the computer...

Check your version. Netframeworks. How to check what Version of Microsoft .NET Framework is installed in the Windows?

Run the Windows updates to obtain the most up to date installed.

What version of IE are you using?

IE is integrated into Windows and is owned by Windows updates.

I suspect that you need at least IE 7. I believe that this is because software piggy HP support of Internet Explorer.

  • HP LaserJet p1006 is not printing with windows 8

I have a HP Laserjet P1006 and recently installed Windows 8 on my computer. I downloaded the drivers for windows 7 and down them in a mode of compatibility with the installed printer. The problem is that, although it is said that it is printing something, nothing happens. The computer says that it has communicated information about ot the printer, but the printer is not printing. I ran the torubleshooter and it says that the printer must be connected to a USB 2.0 port. Not only my USB 3.0 is backward compatible (I checked), I have even a hub USB2.0 connected to the printer. There is no error message, depending on the computer, all right: but the printer is not printing. Help please?

You should probably wait until the official drivers are released. The driver page I found for LaserJet compatibility with Windows 8 said that he should be released "Spring 2013", so it should be available soon.

  • C4480 does not print with Windows 7

I have a HP C4480 all-in-one printer. It worked fine with Windows XP. Since I upgraded to Windows 7 (32 bit) and installed the compatible version of the HP (v13.0) software I can't print from any application. I can print alignment page and test page and I can scan, but when you try to print from any application I get the normal print message and the document is added to the print queue, but no printing happens and the queue is empty.

After installing HP Print Diagnostic Utility (Utility of diagnosis HP Print), I found that the driver I had installed from HP page had a compatibility issue. The proposed solution was to uninstall the driver, disconnect the cable from the printer, restart the computer, and connect the cable again so to make Windows Installer the driver and then I was able to print normally.

Now my mind is at peace

    Hello

MapleStory has no information on the Windows 7 Compatibility Web site. The origin of the game specifications are for Windows 98 - XP.
It is possible that they did not have it compatible with Windows 7 yet.

You can check with the support of Maplestory for all hotfixes that may be needed to play the game on Windows 7.

  • LaserJet pro M127fw MFP: print with Windows 10

Since I upgraded to Windows 7 to 10, I had a problem with printing to my Laserjet MFP M127fw pro.

In the print preview the page to print looks like square rather than rectangular but the picture about this seems OK. When I print in fact the image is crushed vertically. The problem is the same print with Word, Excel and Acrobat.

I have been informed that a new driver is required, so I deleted the old driver and downloaded a new one compatible with Windows 10 but the problem persists.

Thanks for the help but it seems that the problem was that my screen resolution was completely wrong, so that if the image looked OK on preview before printing then it would look incorrect when printing and vice versa.
