Compatible Flash 10.1/Firefox Crash

Our application, which worked very well during the last year on all browsers and flash combinations, all of a sudden completely blocks any time we try to load it.  It was built using Flex 3 and had no general of stability problems, but now in the configuration will not load:

Flash version: 10.1 (just updated today)

OS: Windows XP

Browser: Firefox 3.6.4 (most recent, updated today)

I have reproduced this crash on three systems.  Firefox Mac works fine, IE 7 on Windows, it works very well.

The app is at http://veracity.adometry.com/ and it crashes at startup with:

"The Adobe Flash plugin broke down. No reports available. ' Reload the page or try again.

Someone has seen something similar?

You're of course assuming that everyone uses FireTorrent.  This is not the case.  In fact, is not to solve the original problem.

And that kind of thing on the Firefox crash protection feature - it won't help.  We have updated to Firefox, and we all saw that this solves nothing.  We have tried other methods, such as reinstalling or change the time-out period and still nothing.  This that we all should learn (Yes, even you eidnolb)?

We can do anything!  Unless you want to perform a workaround solution that has its disadvantages, there is no link that anyone who can share and no suggestion that anyone can suggest allowing finally to solve the original problem.  It is not a matter of Firefox Flash Player, it's only a matter of Flash Player.  We started to see problems with this update to Flash Player, NOT an update of Firefox.  Tells us that this is problem of Flash Player, so stop sharing unnecessary links all tell us to do the same things.

    Hello

You can try to Uninstall and reinstall Flash. If the problem persists you can also temporarily disable Flash in (Alt + T) Tools > Addons > Plugins and try the HTML5 videos wherever possible. Most of the videos without ads embedded have equivalents of HTML5. You can also try opening the problematic sites in IE Tab + or IE Tab in Firefox.

  • Firefox crashes every time at this moment I have activate the flash plugin. I uninstalled and installed a plugin once again without any positive result. What should do?

Firefox crashes every time when I activate a flash plugin. It started today after an automatic attempt to update shockwave. I uninstalled flash and installed again. Always the same story. There is no previous version of flash available on the adobe site. What should do?

In the menu do help-> Check For Updates and follow the instructions to get 3.6.6 who will stop the Flash blocking Firefox.

I use Windows 7 and I have the same problem. When I went to 3.6.4, Firefox would be to lock up whenever I tried to play any flash video. I have tried several sites and it would lock up every time I have to close by the Task Manager. I've updated the Flash Player and even tried uninstalling and reinstalling, nothing could solve this problem.

I read that they supposedly separated the plugins like flash in a separate procedure to keep firefox crash if flash does, but apparently they didn't do this right. I had to go back to Firefox 3.6.3 worm and flash works without any problem in this version. Seems that firefox must correct 3.6.4 since it seems he's messed up video flash for many users, if not most. It is useless if it can't play flash since almost all Web sites use this format!

  • Flash Player Plugin constantly crashing in Firefox

    Flash Player Crash in Firefox.jpgHello

I had problems with the adobe plugin to crash constantly in Firefox, especially when I'm looking at my email and the side bar with pop-up ads. Also had problems in Firefox and Internet Explorer with the audio in YouTube was very low for a few days. This problem with the audio I was able to fix by following one of your messages formula 2012:

Go to start-> Control panel-> Flash-> Advanced Player

I deleted all of the "data and Site settings.

I have the most recent Flash 17.0.0.169 version.

I have Windows 7, 64-bit, but when I go into my control panel of the Flash Player contains 32 bits. Why is this? This could be what is causing problems.

    I would appreciate your response.

    Thank you

    Amy

    Hi Jean-Luc.

Thank you for your response. I use Real Player Downloader to download videos. It is very easy to use, so I want to keep it. I still think that there is something to do with the Flash Player and Firefox. I guess that I just have to fix the problem. Only the side bar where advertising crashes as I've shown in the picture above.

Low sound on YouTube videos has been me bothering a lot because I watch many short videos posted on Facebook on dogs and could not hear them at all. I've never seen the slider in the volume on these videos only the cursor for on / Mute. The problem was solved by removing all the 'data and Site Settings ".

    Thanks for all your help,

    Amy

Firefox will try parts MP3s natively, without a plugin, using Gstreamer. Looking at the "thread crash" in the report you linked, Firefox seems to try to do it when it crashes.

If implementation of Gstreamer of Firefox is not compatible with this version of Fedora, you can probably disable a preference by typing about: config. As a Windows user, I don't know exactly what to look for, but I can see that the source code contains one called media.gstreamer.enabled that you can turn to false and see if that helps.

  • Quick Firefox crashes

    Good evening

Recently, I am facing a lot of quick firefox crash and I went through all the troubleshooting steps step, until I arrived (disabling addon-by-time, plugin by time).

The problem had been solved almost when I took (ask to activate, NOT always enable) option for flash player, which is the latest version of flash player.

I don't know if it is on the drive flash itself, or is it some kind of conflict between flash player and a few other addon/plugin that kept causing this problem.

My windows is 8.1, without virus, fully updated system and hardware is fully functional without glitches.

My question is: has anyone an idea of whether it's may be a conflict between flash player and another addon/plugin, what causes this problem? or it's all about flash player it self? *

    • As far as I know, the list of addons/plugins has been attached with this report, which can be reviewed.

Thank you guys in advance for taking the time to consider this issue...

Sometimes there is a conflict between the version of the Flash plugin and an extension which affects its content, for example a downloader or ad blocker.

It is a standard orientation which addresses the most common issues with the Flash Player plugin. I'm sure you've seen some of them before in various support articles, but just in case:

    (1) If you have any recorders/downloaders who interact with Flash media to ensure that they are as up-to-date as possible, or disable them temporarily.

    (2) disable graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox and Flash

    (A) in Firefox, uncheck the box here and restart:

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced > General > "use hardware acceleration when available.

    (B) in Flash, see this article from Adobe technical support: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues

    (3) disable the Protected Mode. The function has the security benefits, but it is not compatible with all systems for some reason any. You can turn it off by creating or modifying a parameter file.

The following/post pages which provide different approaches:

You will need to exit and restart Firefox before it take effect.

    Any improvement?

  • Ubuntu 15.04: firefox crashes, plugin-container using 90% CPU, 11 GB of RAM

Once in a while (maybe once a week on average), Firefox crashes suddenly, and check the 'top' shows that the plugin-container uses 90% and more of CPU and RAM (I have 12 GB of RAM). So I kill firefox and when I restart, it works normally again.

For extensions, I only LeechBlock (and changes of Ubuntu). For plugins I have Flash, Java, OpenH264 Video Codec and (apparently) iTunes application detector. Flash and Java are both updated.

Because the problem somewhat rare occurrence, I was not able to reproduce, or to track down any kind of cause, but I thought he deserved the description anyway; a web search doesn't show anyone else reported the same problem.

The Flash Player and Java Plugins can be guilty. You must set them to "Ask to activate" so that they will work when you allow.

I have a strong enough Linux system I find Flash Player setting to "Ask to activate" can still make a big difference as the Flash videos and ads will not play unless so authorized and I (i5 - 4690 k and 16 GB of Ram).
