Compatible for the cRIO 9063 VeriStand?

Hello

I currently have Veristand 2014 installed, but I'm not able to install veristand engine to MAX.

My 9063 cRIO is compatible for Veristand?

Thank you

  • Problems with sound and Audio - realtek hd audio is not compatible for the audio device

I use Windows XPand receives my sound and audio to work, I got a lot of response to this problem, but not the right answers, I got my sound set correctly but my audio does not work. In my default audio device is defined as realtek hd audio that is not compatible for the audio device, I tried to remove it without any success because I don't know what else can be done to solve this problem. I did an update can also be found a update driver for my sound card in windows. I also run microsoft fixi it and said that my default audio device is wrong, I tried to change, but nothing seems to work. Before that my computer was working fine and now all of a sudden nothing works. Everthing is up-to-date on my computer except the I'm having problems. all I ask you, how can I removed realtek hd audio since I graduated from the audio device by default.

    Thanks for a quick reply.

    Hello

You will remember to do recent changes to the computer before the show?

I suggest you to download and install the latest driver audio realtek for Windows XP from the link and check if the problem occurs:

  • Mode of scanning/FPGA for a CRIO by Veristand

    Hello!

I have a small error using my CRIO 9081 use with CAN communication, here's what I did:

    1. I use the CRIO with scan mode and customized it "Scan engine" and Ethercat for show my analog modules under VeriStand, it's ok

    2. I use the CRIO with FPGA Scan interface (together under Labview) to detect my modules CAN, also ok

3 - then I wanted to see the CAN and analog modules, so I use this page:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/0DB7FEF37C26AF85862575C400531690

    And here's my problem:

with this method I am able to see the two modules with the custom device 'analytical engine and ethercat", which is really nice, BUT, impossible project VeriStand, the error message asking me to turn the chassis using FPGA, but then I lost the analog module...

So is it possible to run a project Veristand using both Scan and FPGA interface mode?

    Thank you very much

    Hi Vincent,.

When you tried to implement, you use the procedure described in the following document in the section use of Scan Engine and EtherCAT with NI 986 x custom device modules XNET ?

From what I remember, because you use a cRIO-9081, you will need to compile an empty bitfile for your target and place the controller in Mode FPGA hybrid mode on your chassis.

Could you post a screenshot of the error of deployment, you see?

  • Same code compiled for the cRIO-9074, but reports no diagram component calendar violation for cRIO-9067

Hi, just got my new cRIO-9067. I have converted my project over the cRIO-9067 since the cRIO 9074. Same layout module, same engine, same scan code custom fpga, (hybrid mode).  I have no problem of compilation for the 9074, which is a lower performance FPGA architecting the 9067 FPGA.

The final timetable for windows compilation shows that the timing is respected for all clocks - 40, 80 and 120 MHz (I use a clock derived for some code sctl). During the end of compilation, during the phase of gen bitfile, I get the dreaded time violation. Investigation of the breach indicates that it is not the custom code, it is not schema components. One of them seems to be linked to the card series OR 9870 I in the chassis.

Why? Is there anything I can try with the compiler directives for this problem? You would think that it would be easier to compile for the highest performance FPGAS...

OK, don't ask me how I thought this output - to run I changed nothing else than this: feed the I/O node a reference FPGA of e/s instead of configure the node via the menu "link to. It makes no sense, but the compilation succeeded when I did this.

I know it is because I created a very simple test VI in my project and made sure it does not compile without it.

  • configuration of the programming for the cRIO module?

Is there a way to programmatically access the configuration settings for the modules in use on a cRIO? I seeks to define the type RTD channels on the NI 9216 RTD by screws, not the exporer project module.  In this way, when the system is established and sent to a customer, they would be able to change this without requiring source code.

    Does anyone do this?

If you use the scan engine to read the entry (not in the FPGA), there is another property to set the RTD type.  In the FPGA, you have just the weight of the LSB and the Offset properties.

Use a property node of the module to read the number of series/VendorId... but the calibration date is not stored. (FPGA code example shows NI9205 data)

Here a Fifo of DMA target host is used to send the data to the controller of the CR...

  • What is the maximum frequency of meter for the cRIO?

    Hello world

First of all, thanks for your comments here!

I'm new to the cRIO, but have been working for some time with LabVIEW.  I need to accurately measure the time between several digital inputs.  A single entry starts the meter, another captures and stores the current value of the counter, and a third stops the timer captures and stores the value of the counter.  It's basically a stopwatch.  The problem is that the meter must operate at a frequency of 100 Mhz or more.  It must also be wide at least 28 bits so it won't boil over between start and stop inputs.  Is this possible with all cRIO systems currently available?  If so, how?  I guess you will have to be implemented in the FPGA, but runs that fast the FPGA?

    Thank you very much!

    -Yohan

    Hey Yohan,

Unfortunately, the cRIO is not capable of reliable frequencies to 100 MHz or higher.  I recommend you to speak with your local NI Field Sales Engineer or callteh NI Sales department at (888) 280-7645 to discuss the material that might fit your application.

The PXI-6586Rmay be an option: http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/207297

    I hope this helps!

  • Controls in real-time for the cRio

I use a cRio 9074 sinking a sensor and to acquire data from ADC module.  I store this data from a DMA FIFO in a table on the RT.  I need to change my detector running program, so I need to change the control on the RT variables after it is deployed from my host PC.  Is this possible?  I also want this picture to be feeding continuously, but I want to be able to pull the data on my host PC from time to time.  What is the best way to do it?  I was trying to use shared variables, but I was getting an error (error-1967357949 cannot request measurement and automation to the shared Variable engine.  Make sure the shared Variable engine exists on the target of RT and verify that the network connection is valid").

Shared variables are the way to go on this.  Reading http://www.ni.com/white-paper/4679/en should help.  Try the manual deployment of your SV engine to the cRIO in the Project menu.  Your cRIO has the shared variable software installed?  You can check through MAX.

  • How compile/link xnet with eclipse for the cRIO 9068

    Hi all

    I use a cRIO 9068 with a NI9862 (DRUM unit).

I'm programming in C/C++ with Eclipse on windows

Without seeking to CAN access via xnet, the C app compiles and works very well on the 9068.

Now, I want to use xnet functions to access the CAN.

I found a nixnet.h in \Shared\ExternalCompilerSupport\C\include, then the compiler is convinced.

But the linker can't find a library (I tried "nixnet" and "xnet") or don't find a library for cRIO xnet 9068 on my hard drive.

Where can I find this library? Do I have to install another driver in addition to the normal driver xnet xnet (I installed, version 14.0).

Thanks for your response in advance

    Hello!

the driver Readme reads as follows:

The NOR-XNET software supports Microsoft Visual C/C++ version 6.

But for Linux-RT based targets (cRIO 906 x and x 903) in combination with modules XNET (986 x) I found a useful resource that indicates that you should be able to include the header "nixnet.h" (as apparently already do you) and ' link against libnixnet.so at run time to obtain the appropriate symbols.

You should find the file according to the following folder:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\RT Images\NI-XNET\Linux-armv7

    Best regards

  • Pavilion p6310y: WD10EZEX hard drive is compatible for the Pavilion p6310y?

    Hello

I'm looking for a replacement of the hard disk of my Pavilion p6310y. I found a hard disk WD10EZEX on Amazon. It has the same features as the WD10EADS came with the pc when I bought it. But with some better features. The WD10EZEX is compatible?

Hi, the active drive WD10EADS is a HARD SATA 2.0, while you are looking in WD10EZEX is a SATA 3.0. However, this should not be a problem since the SATA standard is backward compatible and a SATA 3.0 drive should work on a SATA 2.0 port. The difference in the size of the buffer and the ROTATION speed should not be a problem too, so you should be able to use a WD10EZEX in your system. Be sure to do a good backup of all your data on an external HARD drive before you start to replace your HARD drive. Good luck.

    Hello

does anyone know what model port replicator (name of Toshiba for docking station?) adapts to Toshiba P-70-A-104?

    Your

    Hello

As far as I know that this Satellite has port replicator, so you can use an external device, such as Toshiba Dynadock (universal docking station).
More info about Dynadock you can find on the pages of Toshiba. As a small preview check please
