Compatible video files to blackBerry Smartphones?

Can someone tell me which video file formats will play on the "BOLD"?

I have a one minute video that I put on a dvd but has a .dvd as the file name extension.

Thought maybe I could convert it to something that the "BOLD" would play.

Thank you!

Hello!

Here is a link to the video formats compatible for BB. It also contains links to information of transcoding. Be patient with the links... the KB don't react well these last time... keep refreshing and it will come back later.

  • Videos to transfer blackBerry Smartphones

I got my Blackberry Storm for about a month so I'm still a bit of a newbie here. My question is I have some videos that I had recorded on my card I want to download on my PC and I have a general idea of how to download music, videos, pictures of other devices (iPod, digital camera, etc.) I connected my phone via USB and went to retrieve the video file I wanted to upload, when I clicked on the device icon in the Windows task bar, I went to my media card, and it wasn't a video folder, only music and an app folder. If someone in the forum that has an answer to help solve my technical problem, it would be the greatest satisfaction.

OK nevermind, I found out what the problem was... I do not download the Blackberry to my PC Desktop Manager program. Thanks to all who have tried to solve my problem

  • PDF FILES of blackBerry Smartphones

I'M NOT ABLE TO OPEN A PDF ATTATCHMENTS IN BOLD 9780.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

    First...

    http://HubPages.com/hub/what-people-think-when-you-type-in-all-caps

Second... to ensure that the files are really attachments or you have an application add-on to make them if they are not. In native mode, the BB can make PDFs only for as long as they remain an attachment. Once detached, they become just another file on your BB... need an application that can make them.

If they really have attachments, then I suggest that the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! Good luck and let us know!

  • Videos Streaming of blackBerry Smartphones

Why can s I stream videos to my BlackBerry Bold 9900?

Videos that you are trying to listen to are probably made with Flash, which is only supported by the BlackBerry PlayBook. Try streaming from another site as a test.

  • Files to blackBerry Smartphones are frozen. BB TORCH

My BB Torch 9800 is facing a mess right now. I have downloaded some themes for my phone to customize. I don't check if its compatible with my phone. And after that I installed and use the themes I downloaded, other applications, and the files cannot be opened. My files are frozen except only text messages and media. I can't open up my options to change my theme and remove the one causing the problem. I tried to reset it. Both the way soft and hard reset it but its still the same. Only to make it worse, my phone seems to be easily in low battery. I tried to remove the theme on my computer but the themes can be seen here. I also tried to remove my memory card and insert it in the other phone. But the themes are not there either. Maybe the problem is in my phone memory. How can I solve this problem if the files are frozen? Please help me...

When you get a chance, do a battery pull.  When the red light goes on the front of the phone, hold down the back button all the time while the phone is in boot.  When initialization is complete, the phone goes into safe mode.

See if you can remove the themes in safe mode.

  • Problems of free file to blackBerry Smartphones

I watched everything on every Web site and I can't increase my free file above 9 MB. My free file once a battery pull is 8690391 bytes. I have a BB Pearl 8130. I have a 4gig card that holds all my music, photos and videos. I have emptied the deleted messages, call logs, cleared caches, removed everything that I do not use. I have 3 third-party applications: Facebook, UberTwitter and Epocrates Rx, I have only 8 things in my saved emails (text, email and 1 MMS) folder. I have tasks that recur, calendar and address book, memos (6) is currently no duplicates. I removed the MySpace, Google Search, Twitterberry, Blackberry Messenger and Yahoo Messenger.  The only things that appear in my Blackberry Applications (Advanced Options) 4.5.0 Core Applications, Blackberry 4.5.0 system, BrickBreaker, browser, E-mail Setup Wizard, Epocrates RX, Facebook (1.6), Memo Pad, password keeper, phone, tasks and UberTwitter.  I removed everything that I do not use. So what is the cause of the memory to be sucked upwards?

If you need Epocrates to work, then by all means Add.

If you look for free your file close enough you should be able to hold above free 10 MB file.

  • Video recording of blackBerry Smartphones does not work (on the device itself)

When you try to save a videa, I get the message "to save a videa, insert a memory card.  I have indeed NO card inserted, but in my previous blackberry, I might save it on the device itself.  I already tried to solve via disable the card Support (via options > device > storage > Media Card Support) but to no avail.   Can someone help me?

    Thank you

Hi @PatDenis! Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums!

Unfortunately, you have need of more memory to perform this task, you need a memory card to be able to start recording a video.  Moreover, the 9720 isn't a "BOLD" (according to your profile), it is fair to BlackBerry 9720. See you soon!

    Hello

    Thank you

Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

Now try the VCR, or play one, once again.

  • Video recording of blackBerry Smartphones

Is there video recording my 8310?  I have not found if she has it.

    Hello

the video recording will be available for your Blackberry curve when your carrier comes out an upgrade. I think that you have a mobile device OS 4.2.x software (you can check: Home screen > options > on). When 4.3 or later will be available for your company, you can download the HHOS and install it on your blackberry.

  • Delete and transfer of files to blackBerry Smartphones

    Hello world!

I am moving my old (but expensive) curve 8520 in a new bold 9900 and let me know how it is possible (safely) to transer files (mail, contacts, numbers, etc.) from my old phone to the new. My idea was to make a back up of my 8520 and download on the bold 9900. What is the right way to transfer files?

Thank you very much for your advice!

I'll tell you exactly the steps I take.

Open BlackBerry Messenger (if you use it) and go to Options > backup and backup your BBM contacts to the media card.

Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and device > backup and perform a full backup.

Follow this link for the use of the switch device Wizard to completely all settings, preferences, apps, messages, calendar, contacts, etc. from the old unit to the new.

Then remove the SIM card from the old unit to the new.

Move the old unit to the new press card (if your new device includes a newer version, more big media card Let's dealing separately, just ask.)

Then, if something were to go bust, you have a backup on the PC in reserve, if necessary.

  • Files WAV blackBerry Smartphones appears as unknown

I am new to the Blackberry environment, and how to manage WAV files. After reading several reviews I have still not found an answer to my quesiton. I have Nortel Unified messaging that can send a WAV file to my e-mail client. When I get the WAV file via my Blackberry it as unknown. Is there a solution. Works on all our Windows PDA and iPhone but does not work on the Blackberry PDA. Personally, I have a Blackberry Storm. We do not have a system of Blackberry enterprize if you need one solution other than buying the software enterprize. All proposals/solutions are appreciated. I really don't want to make the web interface solution, but is available with our email system. I want to be able to open the file on my Blackberry as with any other device. Thank you.

I spent several hours with the support of the RIM (very nice people), but the problem with the BIS service is they say the file is coming to them incorporated. They have no way around what they do not accept files incorporated. It is interesting that it comes to IPhones and other phones Windows WITHOUT problem in reading the. WAV file and comes as a non-integrated attachment. I'm really frustrated that it seems to be the solution or THE solid answers. I should be grateful if you would check in this fruther that there should be one alternative to the solution Exchange/BES from RIM. I like the storm but you want to just be able to receive WAV files I can listen without any limitation, nor how they are received. Any one out there is a solution? Glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem.

  • Audio files to blackBerry & Smartphones Directory Structure

I have my BB Storm hung like a USB device. I have several lecutures and classic
I want to keep on my BB for listening to music. I drag and drop it from my desktop computer
    for the BB directory \Music

The structure of directory on my BB when I go to media > music seems to be:
    All the songs<== all="" my="" audio="" files="" are="" here="" as="" audiotrack="" 01,="" audio="" track="" 02,="">
    Artists
    Albums
    Genres
    Playlists
    Musical sample

The directory structure such that it appears on my Windows desktop:
    G:\Blackberry\Music\Bach
    \Beethoven
    \Misc

    My questions are:
    (1) how can I move files from my desktop to the BB in a dirctory structure that will make sense as soon as they are on the BB?
As it is now, just gets thrown into "songs".
    (2) is it possible to rename the files on the BB, so I can tell apart them?
    (3) how create a directory named "Conférences" on the map of support BB?

    (1) and 3) you can access all that using the media browser.
Screen homepage > Media > menu > Explorer

    2)
for the regular application of the press: there is nothing of file because filing is done with the ID3tags (info on the files meta). So, if you want to be able to distinguith files, you must set the info in there. Which is easily achievable for the songs to MP3 using Mozilla SongBird or using the tag & rename or iTunes for example.

  • Looking for a video camera app blackBerry smartphones

Well I think I shouldve done a little more research before making this thread, but maybe with luck, someone will understand what I'm talking about in which I can't do too much work.

Basically, I watched a TV show that allowed a person to keep their cell phones in front of them and spread on another cell phone of people.

I have a blackberry storm, but in order for me to record videos of me, I need to have the target in front of me where I don't even know if I am centered correctly etc.

So, as the title that I wonder if such an application exists for Blackberry where you can hold the phone normally and not put it back, and somehow you can see yourself completely when you save yourself.  A bit like a mirror?

Anyone understand what I'm saying? Where do I go to find this video clip and the link? Laughing out loud

    Thank you

Hello, BlackBerry devices and iPhone devices have only one camera, to the opposite side of the screen. This means that you will have to guess where you point to while you save yourself.

Many devices have two cameras, in particular Nokia N series, allowing people to make the video conference and see what they record.
Some older devices like the BlackBerry Curve 8300 have a tiny spherical mirror allowing you to see your reflection it while you save yourself, but it seems that this mirror handy disappeared into the new generation of devices.

I suggest you to... train to point to itself (it's a stupid opinion, but it really works after a few dozen photos). You can also try to stick a little mirror to the back of your storm. It may be a sheet of money as on a candy bar MARCH envelope.
