  I'm trying to control a 3rd party via EtherCAT servo drive:

  I downloaded the files of unit on official website of Beckhoff Description: http://www.beckhoff.com.au/english.asp?download/elconfg.htm (Beckhoff_EtherCAT_XML.zip)

  I followed the instructions to http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/FDA1318A8909D02C862574510060DB62 to import the profile description of the device.

  Curiously, the import was successful for the host (and I can now access this device in the LabVIEW LVPROJ file), but it failed for the target.

  Why could this be? (There are no diagnostic messages)

  Looks like you are using NOR-Industrial Communications for EtherCAT 2.7 or later. What is you project connected to the target when you try to import the file? How are you connected to the target? What is your firewall block FTP transfers? Do you need the ability to programmatically discover slaves EtherCAT (such as DSM or using the VI of Modules Refresh)? If you just want to program the EtherCAT Slave in the LabVIEW project, import the device description files to the host is all that is needed.

  There is really little detail, but if you work on eBS I suspect you're pointing the synonymous or something similar.

• How to use the target FPGA and co. on the same chassis cRIO?

  I have a cRIO system consisting of a master chassis 9074 with several modules IO and EtherCAT 9144 slave unit.

  I want to run a CIE (see: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/5333) on the chassis of the master, this uses the analytical engine. At the same time I have to do some very urgent measures if I want to use the Board in hybrid mode, using analysis and FPGA engine at the same time (as described here: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/0DB7FEF37C26AF85862575C400531690.)

  But as soon as I add the FPGA target at one of the chassis, the feature of the ice on this chassis stops working. After some research, I found that the CIE can initialize is no longer the modules belonging to the frame that has the target FPGA on it. Error in the method Init of the CIE is: 65700 (indeterminate). This occurs when you try to use "for a more specific class' on the modules configured with a target FPGA on it.

  Someone knows what can cause exactly this problem and perhaps provide a solution/work around?

  Hybrid mode requires you to have a bitfile compiled running on the FPGA to be able to read the Scan Interface IO Variables.  Move the target FPGA at the RT target module will allow Interface of scanning for this module, but the frame will always mode Interface of LabVIEW FPGA.

  

  To get fair access to the scan mode for the frame, right click on the chassis in the project, and choose Properties.  Then, modify the Scan Interface programming.  If you want to continue using the programming of FPGA and the Scan Interface set (hybrid mode), you will need to compile a bitfile (empty if you do not want programs on the FPGA again or containing your FPGA code).  By compiling, the support of the module scan mode for the modules under your RT chassis is compiled in your custom bitfile.  Then, on your VI RT, you need to use reference FPGA VI open to your newly compiled VI.  Once this VI is deployed and ongoing implementation, you get the data from you are the CIE.

• ROBOCOPY can move files created yesterday to the target files and keep the folder tree and datetime attributes

  I want to create a script to move the files created in the day before in a file archive (and subfolders) into a new target folder daily.  For example, whenever I run the below script 10/02/2015, I would move files created on 01/10/2015 and earlier source archives files to the destination folders, with the same folder structure and datetime preserved.  This is my 1st ROBOCOPY command in the script.

  However, it doesn't move the files of more than 24 hours from when I run the script, rather than all the files created yesterday. Technically, he did what has been said, but not exactly I want.  It seems if you use /COPYALL switch, the switch / MINING: N compare file date & time stamp as file age exclusion, rather than just the number of exclusion of age days.

  How can I achieve my goal to move files from a specified number of days while preserving the postmark date & time of folders and files?  Are there different ROBOCOPY switches to set, or if it is complex date and the calculation of leap year?

  Robocopy is a bit lacking in this regard. You can use the hybrid batch file below to reach your goal. Sets the attribute archive every file that was modified yesterday and it resets any other file attribute so that robocopy will only move the files of yesterday.

  As you can see, I put a subquery after the USING clause so that 'n.i1' would be 'visible', but this is not enough since the 'I1' column in the target table is always invisible.

  But the documentation DO ALLOWS not only! You use a view - a view online and those that can be changed in a MERGE statement.

  All versions of the doc for FUSION since 9i specifically say this:

  INTO clause

  Use the INTO target clause to specify the table or view you are updating or inserting into. To merge the data in a view, the view must be updated. Please refer to the "Notes on the editable views" for more information.

  9i doc does not have this specific quote in the INTO clause section, but it doesn't have that quote a little later:

  Limitation of the update of a view

  • You cannot specify DEFAULT when refreshing a view.
  • You cannot update a column referenced in the ON condition clause.

  The merge_insert_clause specifies the values to insert into the column of the target table, if the condition of the ON clause is false. If the insert clause is executed, then all insert triggers defined on the target table are activated.

  Restrictions on the merger in a view

  You cannot specify DEFAULT when refreshing a view.

  If your "workaround" isn't really a workaround solution. You SHOULD use an inline view if you need to reference a column "invisible" in the target table, since otherwise, these columns are INVISIBLE!

  My workaround using a subquery solution seems to work very well, but can I recommend if it is not documented?

  I am working on installing a reference ViewPlanner, ViewPlanner 3.5 environment local.

  I created the Office of the GoldenRDSH and the Viewplanner device, without AD.

  I used Windows 7 32 bit under my desk and Office installed (2010..) and all the necessary applications and tools.

  Managed to do the check option, and there is no problems/errors.

  It seems that the ViewPlanner agent is installed incorrectly.

  There are two packs zip for Agent of VP (1) for desktop PC (2) to the client.

  It seems that this client package is installed in the office instead of an office. You can install the agent desktop of VP and try again?

• ios10 notifications when the screen locked and I'm on the phone

  This must be a bug. Nothing else makes sense as to why you program this function in iOS10.

  I rely on notifications for my work in the newspaper industry. I use so many apps like Twitter, Facebook, TXT Message, etc.

  When my phone goes into auto-lock mode and goes black, I still get notifications. The screen comes back to life and I get a notification banner for txt, twitter updates and facebook messages. I can't put my phone to stay unlocked for always as the longest option available to me is 5 minutes.

  Here's the big question. When I'm on the phone and the screen goes black, I stop get notifications. I hear the notification sound and the screen lights up to show my wallpaper, but the banner of notification never appears. I have colleagues who have exactly the same problem. If it is not unique to my phone. I confirmed this option to occur in several other people in my office.

  Please tell me that this can be fixed somehow. This is a feature I must have. So and if well I would buy an Android, if this is the new normal in iOS10,

  Out of the blue my z500 crashed and restart the hard drive was not recognized. I opened and made sure it is properly connected. Still nothing.

  I bought an ssd and inserted into the slot of the hard drive and when turned on it flashes the lenovo bios boot screen then instantly goes black. It flashes black then black and backlit constantly

  I removed the SSD and it loads the BIOS without a drive.

  I returned the ssd and got a replacement. The same problem reoccured.

  The ssd is approved to the z500 site crucial and fine as an external hard drive can be installed.

  The original hard drive makes a powered noticeable when rattle noise so I guess it was a normal failure.

  Any ideas? Any other information needed? I am a complete newbie to these forums and appreciate help from anyone.

  Try to install the ssd (of course power should be turned off before doing so). After the physical installation and place the back cover press the NOVO button. A menu should appear and select bios Setup to access the bios. If you can go into the bios put the bios configuration to the default values. Then set the PXE boot to disable. Save and exit.

  Note: You must start in a usb/dvd of windows installer since the ssd has nothing about it yet. Then may need to change some settings in bios inorder to do this.

• The speakers click when the fan starts and stops Equium A100-147

  I recently bought the 100-147 satellite and noticed that a click comes from the speakers (or headphones or external speakers) when the fan starts up and even when the fan stops. Sometimes it s quite remarkable, other times not so remarkable.

  Everyone can hear that click? If it's normal, I can live with that, otherwise I will return it for repair. Any comment please?

  In addition, it seems slow at startup and shut down. Put into service takes 2 minutes and 35 seconds, and stop to 33 seconds. Is this normal bearing in mind, it is running MCE? I have loaded additional software such as Itunes, Nero, Office 2000, Photoshop 5.0 etc.

  Clicking noise when the fan starts or stops turning is not uncommon. On my satellite a similar sound will appear when the fans begin to turn or the HARD disk starts to spin.
  Then worry about don t, I think its OK.

  The start-up procedure can take several times when a lot of applications and software to load at the beginning. Equium A100 seems to be one of the newer laptops, and I assume that different applications Toshiba load at the beginning.
  Also an Antivirus applications could extend the startup procedure.

  You might try testing something. Disable the antivirus of loading at the beginning and check if the laptop will start faster.

  It s even with stops. All background processes that are run in the context of the operating system should be closed until the laptop shuts down completely.

  We have developed a DLL to use.  Compile the DLL itself.  The DLL includes a function test.  The test function validates the functional capabilities of the DLL.  I followed the examples online, and I used the tool to import shared library in LabVIEW.  The screw created use the call library node.

  When I create a VI by calling the function in the DLL test customized by using the call library node the VI runs the test DLL function flawlessly.  I close the VI.  When I re - open the VI and run it, I get an error code of the DLL.  However, if I go on the schema and define the path of the DLL in the library call Configuration node once again the VI then runs the test DLL function perfectly again.

  I have set the path of the DLL in the library call Configuration node everytime I open the VI.  The examples that I downloaded from the community don't require this.  What could be the missing DLL?  What Miss me?

  I solved the problem.

  I had create the DLL by using the following steps for VC 6.0:

  1. new project

  2. Select the Appwizard (DLL) MFC

  3. Select the regular DLLS using the MFC shared DLLS

  4 Yes for source file comments

  5 finishing

  The DLL must be on the VI search path.  The easiest way was to have the DLL in the same directory as the VI.

• Doc XML to a string fails when the string length is greater than 512 bytes.

  I have been using the following code to write an XML string.  If the resulting string is lower to ~ 512 bytes, the string will be created, if > ~ 512 bytes, the routine does not create the string.  Assuming that the doc contains an XML document:

  The SaveDocument routine still works, the XML file contains the XML, regardless of their size.

  The Getxml routine creates only the XML string in strXml when the length of the string is lower to ~ 512 bytes.

  Does anyone have an idea of the problem?

  Because the string is very long, the ICB debugger cannot display. That's why I was wondering if you were trying to print using put or printf. Because the return value is 0 and the ERRORINFO is also stating the success, I would recheck the chain by printing it to the console or a file.

  I feel stupid now xD that I like to keep my inner space as clean as possible, I have disabled google text-to-speech engine cause I do not use it in any case and that is the reason why it keeps crashing.

• CD/dvd drive does not work - it is recognized when the computer starts, and it is listed in the Device Manager?

  I am running Vista Home Premium on a laptop Compaq Presario F700. It is listed in the list of computers of readers, it is listed in Device Manager. The lites drive that the computer boots so I know it is detected. When you run itunes or media player the player does not open. When I push the drive button it will not open. It opens with a paperclip in the exit hole. It cannot read a CD or a DVD. None of the media players even recognize there is a disc in the drive. I tried to run fixit, but it would not drive either. I tried restoring from a previous backup, without change.

  Check / settings (BIOS/CMOS) often F2 so watch the screen as it starts - place CD/DVD
  1st in the boot order (remember to put it at the time where the fact).

  Then put in a DVD to boot Windows and see if the driver works.

  If it doesn't then it's a hardware problem.

  Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
  ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
  contacts data with a pencil eraser.

  Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
  manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

  Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
  Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
  do it right.

  Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
  the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

  Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
  the correct registry entries for your car.

  Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
  as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
  the parameters.
