• You can add a file to a compressor setting?

  We use a custom audio setting of compressor for Final Cut, where the audio from a video is exported in MP3 format for a Podcast feed. Everything works fine, but we would like to add an audio intro to the podcast, and the best way to do that would be for setting compressor include audio intro and attach it at the beginning of the export of Final Cut. In this way, we could hit 'export' of Final Cut and immediately download this new MP3 on our podcast. I am trying to streamline our processes and save time.

  It's a complicated question, but nobody knows if it's possible? Thank you!

  Note: We cannot put audio podcast intro in editing Final Cut, we also export a video file at the same time, that does not have the audio intro.

  The compressor is not an editor, it doesn't work like that.  What you want to do is to create your intro in your timeline in FCPX.  Make a compound Clip, or stand alone audio clip.  Just drop it in the scenario first, actually.  But now, a "Preset" compressor understand adding several media to your conversion settings.

  What I would do, is to change your Timeline, and then do one of two things.  First of all, you can duplicate this project calendar (Cmd - D), call the a new XYZ - Audio.  Insert the audio clip at the beginning (Cmd - W) and export audio.  Or you can just insert the Intro in your timeline from the start.  Once finished, export audio only, then delete the intro at the beginning and video export.

  If this is a regular series, make a library for the series.  Create a new event for each episode.  Create an event for your support of stock, which would include your audio clip Intro.  It's how we make our reality, TV show, who has recurring intros, outtros, bumper, etc.

• Portege R - 400 3 G modem freezes VMWare Player 3.0 in Windows 7

  Hi all

  I have a problem following needs your help.

  I have a Portege R-400 with 3 G build-in modem. It is installed Windows 7. All is well until I install the VMWare Player 3.0.

  Without modem 3G connection, each application still works fine. (I use WiFi most of the time.)

  When I'm not in measure use WiFi and connect with 3G, without starting VMWare Player, the system freezes within 5 to 20 minutes.

  The symptom is without any response to the keyboard and mouse, but can see HD light flashing.

  Then, I'll try Virtual PC from microsoft. He may have the same problem, too.

  It will be very appreciated if there is no solution for this problem.

  Dear Mike is a rather complicated question. I mean Toshiba muss well deliver books and work with the factory settings, everything should work fine.
  If you use some third-party software of the part and if something goes wrong, it can be really complicated.

  Who is responsible for support here?
  I hope that someone on this forum has exactly the same specifications, the setting, the operating system and additional software like you and can help you with this.

• Airport Express is no longer connect to Airport Extreme

  OK, it's kinda a complicated question.  For starters, I will describe my current setup:

  Cable modem Motorola-> Airport Express #1-->(Ethernet over powerline)-> Airport Extreme-> multiple Airport Express for AirPlay

  Airport Extreme and Airport Express #1 are put in place to create wireless networks, with different names for 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz frequencies.  I love this configuration because it allows me to play music simultaneously on the four different speakers hooked to my Airport Express units while offering good coverage in my apartment together.  It worked perfectly until two days ago when two of the Airport Express units lost their connection and are now flashing yellow.  I tried to restart the Airport Express and Airport Extreme, but nothing helped.  When I launch iStumbler, it looks like Airport Express #1 and Airport Extreme both create networks of right, but who is the Airport Extreme 802. 11A instead of 802.11n - don't know if it of a problem or not.  I suspect that the Airport Extreme is not working properly because when my wireless connection when you use my iPad near the Airport Extreme, that used to be solid as a rock, is now uneven intermittently.

  Any ideas on how I can solve this?  Thank you very much!

  It sounds like your extreme is the very old Gen1 or Gen2 model without dual band.

  Back to the factory and start over. It's the best way to solve problems... reboot is worth a trial, but in the end, you sometimes just have to redo the installation.

  Well, I'm new and I have a complicated question for someone who has the time to fix my problem.

  I just bought a new computer hp from Wal-Mart without a monitor. I intend to use my HDTV as a monitor using HDMI to HDMI on a graphics card which I also bought. The question is what do I do and in what order to do all this work.

  I know that I must do the following:

  • I need to install the graphics card to use the HDMI output
  • I need to install drivers to use the graphics card (as far as I know
  • The initial pc set up when I start by putting

  Will be automatically recognized graphics card, or do I have to put in place a temporary means to see to configure settings using a cable vga etc.?

  In addition, is there something special, that I need to display on the screen or to get sound through HDMI?

  First set up your computer using the VGA port and install the video card software and driver on the PC.

  Thirdly, we must define PCIx16 as the main display adapter in the BIOS... And, to complete the steps below:

  Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.

  Turn on the computer.

  When the first screen appears, do one of the following:

  Immediately press the F10 key. Press the button once per second until what the BIOS configuration utility screen appears.

  Select the tab advanced using arrow keys left and right of the keyboard.

  Then select 'Primary Video' by using the up and down arrow and press ENTER.

  It opens a new window, ON the small new video select PCIx16 and click on enter.

  After that it shows PCIx16 beside the main video card in the list on the Advanced tab, press F10 to save settings and exit BIOS.

  It's a pretty bad situation. ASP in Nederland is right. They can order materials of recovery for the own country only.
  Recovery media are product specific (different hardware configuration) and you may not use any recovery media for portable model A100. Thus, it is important to control the media in the country of purchase. The funny thing is that Googling autour, I cannot find any info on your model of laptop.

  I recommend you use the CD of Microsoft facilities for the installation of Windows XP Home edition. If the hardware configuration is known to you, I hope you will be able to find the drivers for your laptop model. Maybe you can use the drivers from http://pc.toshiba-asia.com/support/downloads/index.jsp

  It is a complicated question, but in general, it can be done.

  First of all, it is possible to create a new user account and move information from one account to the other.  You will use essentially the same procedure if the account has been corrupted (except you copy instead of move and would not remove the original account). Here is the procedure in Vista: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile.  If you have a different operating system, or perform a search on Bing for 'fix a user profile corrupted in ' or post back and I'll try to find it for you.

  If you want him to have administrator rights, you are finished.  If this is not the case, use your username to change his account to a standard account and then you are done (but if he is accustomed to using an administrator account, he can find a standard account quite a bit more restrictive - but it's up to you).

• Microsoft Tinker

  For some reason any Microsoft tinker has simply disappeared. I played earlier, it didn't for 2 or 3 weeks and then when I wanted to try again, he simply disappeared.

  * I looked in the directory C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Tinker and it's empty.

  * I tried to uninstall and reinstall that the windows update, it is still not there.

  OK, after the previous post, I'm tired of canned responses and I fixed it!

  It's a very complicated question, though; It is worth noting that my computer has two installed languages (en-US and en - US) and is running in the settings regional en - CA. I don't know how that would affect the dissapearance of Tinker, but as I'll explaing thereafter, it might affect things. Also note that I have disabled UAC (because the UAC control "resets" screen (change of default resolution in case the resolution is different?) and in this case my Bluetooth Microsoft mouse ALSO gets reset and when it does the mousewheel work more until I have reset the Bluetooth driver - I don't understand that either).

  Step 1) uninstalled using the Control Panel programs and features (select the 'View installed updates' option, it will be under the "Microsoft Windows" group under the name of "Microsoft Tinker (KB954955) name; right-click and select uninstall).

  Step 2) Redownloaded update by going to Windows update.
  [Here, I started Process Monitor from Windows Sysinternals and watched over the activity registry and files.
  [I noticed that the files have been placed under \winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-tinker.954955_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6000.16748_none_d033bc76015c6b52]

  Step 3) I went into \winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-tinker.954955_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6000.16748_none_d033bc76015c6b52

  Step 4) I gave myself ownership and rights to full access and then in the folder and files. (Right click on the folder, select 'Properties', select the 'Security' tab, press the 'Advanced' button, click on the 'Owner' tab, select the button 'modify...) ", select yourself as the owner of the list and press OK once, then twice for the other dialog box. • Sending a network private VLAN virtual

  We have a situation where we have 2 server company that are geographically separate cluster.  The clustering software will not work unless one of the connections on both servers is on the same network segment.  I was informed by the seller that it has been accomplished in the past via a VIRTUAL LAN.  Is it possible to send one VLAN via a VPN IPSEC encrypted using an ASA 5510?  If so, how it is and how this address would be announced on?  I know it's kinda a complicated question, so thanks in advance for the effort.

  It is not possible, one VLAN is set on layer2 tunneling ipsec encrypts IP packets and therefore operates in Layer 3. You need switching tehcnology to do this, such as dark fibre, or EoMPLS, if you have an mpls connection between your sites. You could focus on L2TP, might be able to do what you have to, but in my opinion, it is not available in new versions of asa > 7.x

• All programs - where is it in Windows 8?

  I am a new user of Windows 8, but I'm a Windows user for more years that I mean.

  I installed programs on my computer.  However not all applications I have installed do appear not in the section 'All the Apps' of Windows 8.  It's extremely frustrating because I have difficulties in some cases because of need to take additional steps to launch programs.
  I read several comments in the community pages on it, and it doesn't seem to be a correct answer, or one that will work.
  Anyone know how we can access the "all programs" lists without having to go through the control panel uninstall a program function to find programs?  Sorry for this complicated question.

• Fill in several areas of direct paint with a gradient selection

  I have a very brief but complicated question. I am filling several areas with just a gradient in paint, so that they seem to overflow one. Is it possible? See the image below for what is happening now.

  

  I don't see why you should use Merge. It works without it for me.

  But you will have to click and drag with the gradient tool.
