Composition of blackBerry Smartphones in businesses that require guests numbers

I searched and was not able to find an answer to this question-

How to get a number during a call into an organization that has a series of guests - that is, please press 1 for support, please press 2 for sales, THEN perhaps you are forced in another tree?

Most of the time I won't know ahead and sometimes perhaps join someone while you drive.  I have the same question for dialing extensions in the same circumstances. 1 million thanks to anyone who has a simple answer. Sorry if I missed it!

BTW, these aren't organizations I necessarily need to call again.

Hello and welcome!

-If you want to know how to key in number after your call has been connected? Right? Not how pre-program these numbers (with breaks and others).

Once your call is connected, you will have several small icons at the bottom of the screen... the one on the far left will bring up the keyboard.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, I think that my phone hates me :(

    Hi so yes

I did have my Blackberry for a while and today I downloaded a theme (free trial Doodles) and since I decided to try it my phone has continued to spoil

Does not open my options so I can't change or remove this theme

BlackBerry App World does not open apps so that I can not download another theme

I don't really know what to do

    Someone please help

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Try to run your device in safe mode. You should be able to remove the theme of the problem. I suggest a peripheral complete backup using Desktop Manager before deleting anything.

  • Copy of blackBerry Smartphones receive messages that I've sent

Whenever I have send an email on my phone I get a copy of it immediately... almost instantly after you send. It comes in the form of message not read myself. I clearly messed up an email affecting somewhere... It also happens if I send an email from my pc... almost instantly after you send the message on my blackberry.

Also is there anyway to stop receiving messages "called" in my Inbox on my pc? whenever I have a message from my blackberry the confirmation message "delivered" appears in my Inbox on my pc.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mike

Wow... it sounds as if you have an old configuration of GMail in BIS... see this article:

    • KB10332 Duplicate sent email message arrives on the BlackBerry smartphone when sent using a built-in Gmail account

This problem was actually fixed several months ago... If you configure your GMail account to provide IMAP and then delete and recreate your conduit BIS, it shouldn't be a problem. There are all kinds of improvements through the last sheet of GMail in (I have not tried, btw - I use the application add-on GMail rather than BIS for my GMail accounts).

With respect to the acknowledgement of receipt that you get - you must go to the configuration of your BB Messages and which turns off:

    • Home screen > Messages > BBKey > Options > e-mail settings > (choose the GMail account if you have several) > delivery confirm > set on no.

Good luck and let us know!

  • "Required" on Verizon Blackberry blackBerry Smartphone data plan, no required on AT & T?

I don't mind paying the $29.99 for "data unlimited" on my Storm. But why AT & T gives customers the opportunity to transform power data? Something about RIM "demands" on their BlackBerry Verizon load data. Or am I wrong on these two areas?

I was wrong about customers of AT & T having the ability to have data on their Blackberry phones. If someone buys a Blackberry to AT & T, they have to get a map of data, like Verizon. The difference between carriers is if you put your AT & T SIM card in a Blackberry that you got a friend online or somewhere other than directly from AT & T, your SIM card will work for voice services. If you don't have a Blackberry data plan, it will not work for data. Verizon is CDMA and Verizon devices must be triggered by Verizon, you can not simply exchange to another phone without the knowledge or help of Verizon. Anyone using a SIM card AT & T with a Blackberry without a data plan, just to put their SIM in the phone. RIM requires a data plan for all Blackberry phones sold by all carriers.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones "BOLD" says that to validate the email out of blue – then reject

    Hello-

Mail came in fine throughout the day, but this afternoon,

I got a message from BB on 9000 "BOLD", saying that I wasn't getting my yahoo mail

and needed to validate it.  Went into the phone settings to validate,

Email validation required red and told me... but never rejects the password.

I entered the password, which is the same as I always had.

Also has this address yahoo on "BOLD" for two years.

    Thanks for all the time!

Don't ask me why this happens, but the message you get is legitimate and that you will have to validate your email address.

I got a similar message a couple of weeks and had to go through the process.  Don't you know, my password does not work, either.  I called my provider and had my password reset and went forward from there.

Seeing that it is a yahoo account, you will need to reset your password first.

It may be worth calling your carrier first to see what they say.  Because it's the BlackBerry asking you to validate your password and your carrier is supported by your BlackBerry phone, they might be able to help with it.

  • BlackBerry smartphones HELP - CONTACT EXPORT REQUIRED... DEVICE LOST / STOLEN

    I've been a happy customer with an old BLACKBERRY PEARL FLIP # 8220 which was purchased new by my best friend in 2009 or 2010 and given to me by him, in 2012 - 18 months. He was beginning to have some edge left and right keys work less ideally, but it was always my very basic needs: I have an old boy who lives in 6 blocks from work and walk 10 minutes between places... and I use the internet very weakly at work and barely at all, at home, and I really don't need it between these places , so I only have a cheap incredibly good CHAT / SMS plan - without data plan (@<$32 th,="" total="" -="" incl="" tx="" and="" fees!).="" i="" send="" about="" 2-3="" txt-msgs="" (sms="" only)="" per="" day;="" and="" i="" get="" even="" fewer!="" i="" use="" the="" talk="" feature="" maybe="" 1-2="" times="" in="" 2-3="" days.="" i'm="" a="" virtual="" non-user,="" i="" admit.=""  people="" laughed="" at="" why="" i'd="" even="" have="" a="" smart="" phone="" that="" literally="" wasn't="" at="" all="" smart...="" but="" it="" was="" because="" i'd="" admired="" my="" friend's="" phone's="" appearance="" and="" functionality,="" and="" because="" it="" was="" free="" to="" get="" from="" him,="" and="" because="" he="" helped="" me="" switch="" companies="" to="" a="" lower-cost="" plan="" running="" on="" gsm="" (rogers)="" not="" cdma="" (telus).="" i="" didn't="" even="" use="" bbm,="" let="" alone="" any="" e-mail="" or="" other="" internet="" functions,="" games,="" apps,="" even="" gps.="">However, despite these rare and apparently "Mute" use, I got very valuable contacts in the phone that other people envy...) I NEED those.

The DESKTOP MANAGER version that I got from my best friend when he gave me his old phone is 4.6 v - and he said that it had been updated when he gave it to me. I realize that v6 is now standard (or even more?) and support for older versions disappeared. I also see that this v6 has characteristics which 4.6 do not...

I backed up before I went to Toronto September 13. I doubt that there is more than 1-2 new contacts, if even that many, who have not been saved. It's as up-to-date as I could understand...

I'm on ROGERS wireless in the Canada.

So: I happened to me just to pinpoint a phone no - BB that I like and I bought it with the intention of change when I got some time. I'm moving out of country in one year and I'm slowly getting things in place for this and I was intending to spend a recent phone and thenunlock the BB to have in reserve, but I accidentally lost my Blackberry mid-weeklast week when I went out a taxi... and it may be gone forever now. 3 days only after obtaining the next phone that I had planned to use it, I lost that before I could even spend!  I know that ROGERS has a PHONE FINDER function, but let's just say that wasn't functional in my case... we'll leave it at that.

    So, phone / device gone!

I hope that someone can guide me to export these contacts that are somewhere, somehow existing / resident in DESKTOP MANAGER v4.6 - in a format that I can then use to not having all the lost forever, and then I can re - load - manually, if need be - on my new phone. I realize that they exist, but not in any format I can see / use, at the present time.

Can someone help me?  I see forums / discussions and messages that show how to synchronize the device to record for export, synchronize and create a CSV, or save to export to EXCEL, but they that seem to all be configured the DESKTOP MANAGER and THEN sync with the device... I don't have the camera longer... it's gone. I've never done this before because I didn't plan the need... stupid me, I know!

I can recover the contacts from my DESKTOP MANAGER v4.6 somehow?

    Help?

    Thank you!

After reading some info on these forums, the ONLY thing I can even think to do is maybe trying to borrow from someone a is no longer necessary to BB and with it wiped THEIR contacts, synchronize it at my DESKTOP MANAGER and then load my contacts on other than BB... and then re-sync the things that BB with the appropriate buttons checked in the DESKTOP MANAGER?  I don't even know if it works... and I don't seem to have access to spare / balls unused of the people... no one I know has one, and still less a 'extra! '

    ?

    Thank you, once again,

    Paul

Hello and welcome to the community!

First, find the file to backup data on your computer. It is normally stored somewhere in the area of my documents, but when you performed the backup, you have full control over the destination folder for the backup data file. Given the version of the desktop software you mention, it probably has an extension of IPD file... the newer versions of Desktop software switched to a BBB file extension, but yours is probably IPD.

Once you find the file, your next step is your favorite internet search engine... the Desktop software is useless for what you do, because it is exclusively an interface with a BB device... nothing else. Search for your favorite Internet for something like "IPD File Extractor" search engine or something similar. There are several out there.

Compare search results and make your choice - before ask you, the answer is no... We cannot recommend one over the other. You must choose based on your own personal set of circumstances.

Then, get the software and use it to extract your data from the IPD file and save it in a "readable" format (for example, .txt, .xls, .csv, etc.).

Once that is done and your data are in a file format that you can use, then your next step is to find what you need to do to import into your replacement unit. Yet once, before asking, nothing here in this forum dedicated BB available to help you with that. But if this device has an import function, then once you have your data in a usable format, you should be able to handle such that you can format to import your new device.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones free booster that works?

I just bought my first Blackberry I've ever owned, and although I have a gift for getting around any new electronic device I buy, there are a lot of areas where I could improve my knowledge when it comes to these phones. I have a Blackberry Curve 8530 and I would like to know if anyone knows of a free battery booster application that actually works? The ones I used here have not really worked. Someone please give me the answer if you have. I would be grateful any good knowledge that anyone can have. Thank you
Oh Yes. I love my phone. Addicting.

Is there really such a thing? Certainly we all want more than power, but a stack has a finite amount of energy. Just like baldness cures and male enhancement drugs there are many claims, but little results.

More realistic would be the battery management and power. The battery on my curve light is more of a * beep * of a real power indicator light. I bought the app called boss of power for $0.99. It tells you your actual power level and how long some functions will run to the power current level. 30% and 20% popup tells your stats. 10% phone normally turned off its radio. Power boss can during the trip that work and leave your shipment one more e-mail, text, etc... That can be useful in a pinch.
Since the installation of this power management application, I jump my battery much less and use the power I have more effectively.

  • Composition of blackBerry Smartphones remove the 0 after country code

    Hello

When I try to call my blackberry to Itlay (00390131XXXXXX) dial the number without the 0 after code country (+ 39131XXXXXX) and of course the number is not because it is a mistake.

Does anyone know the option to remove this property?

    Welcome to the forums.

Check the smart dialing properties, you have put in place.  Click on the Phone/Call Log icon, then go to Options-> Smart Dialing.  There are some predefined numbering set up there rules that you may need to change.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones, it shows that I have notifications... but it says that there is.

I have a Bold 9650 and the envelope of notification will not go away.

I tried to re-start it by downloading an application and then restart the system but nothing works.

So basically... I see the envelope at the top of the screen, I see a number (2), but when I try to see what the notification is... He says "you currently have no notification."

    Very confusing.

Go to your main message folder, press the BB Menu button and select search by > advanced, and then under the show section, select no read only, then search.

This will pull up all messages unread on your BlackBerry. Alternatively, you can also simply browse your main Inbox of Messages. It is possible that you may have missed two messages, or you scored two messages as unread by accident.

    I hope this info helps!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones made Torch 2 requires a special charger?

    Thank you

For the map of support, simply exchange it for another everywhere where you bought the device.

See the link below to download it and follow these simple instructions.

Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.

    https://swdownloads.BlackBerry.com/downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=D840CC5D906C3E9C84374C8919D2...

    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

Y at - there a site where I can add (risk free) image of the cover of the album to some of the songs I downloaded and added to the music library on my blackberry? I haven't looked enough, but the songs that show the generic drive seem to be old songs or those that I do not download, but instead transferred to a CD.

Dave, do you use iTunes?  I found the tracking work in iTunes works really well.

I also bought a program that goes out and seeks the work that works as well.

Otherwise, I would use Google Images to find your work.

    Thank you

Well, it seems, after much research, that there is a problem with the internet messaging system. 9114 indicates it is a yahoo account. As this is a new phone number for me and I had not set up a personal email yet, I can only assume it's a wedge of the former owner of phone number. Once I created my own Yahoo account with the phone via the email service blackberry internet, it must have overwirtten settings and now I have not received a single message since.

What I gethered you can also go online for Manager messages and to 'block' sprint of this number, although I can not do because it is a phone company and we have no access to the account manager system

I hope this helps people with the same problem
