computer laptop battery Studio 1555 question

I have a portable Studio 1555 at startup which said that my battery is not Dell and cannot load it.  If I unplug the power supply it stops. It's a Dell battery, the initial problem.  I keep plugged in f most of the time but as to move and work with it outside my office area.  I can't do this.  Any suggestions?

If it's more than a year it must be replaced with a new battery from dell. Batteries last longer if you use it and recharge it regularly.

I have a laptop Dell Studio 1555 with Vista Premium 64-bit. Until last night, the laptop would run mode standby when I closed the lid and woke up when I opened the cover later. Yesterday I was downloading photos from a Canon camera via USB. I close the lid when I did. When I went to open the cover later the laptop screen remained in black and white. The power button is lit, but the only way I can get to meet is to hold the power button until it turns off completely, and then restart the laptop. A difference when the lid is closed, I think the power button will blink and turn off slowly while he was really in sleep. He remains on all the time now when the lid is closed. I tried to go into power management and put the laptop from sliding when the lid is closed, but has not made a difference.

  • Laptop Dell Studio 1555, closing without notice

I bought my laptop Dell 1555 about 14 months ago, and about 3 months ago I started having this problem. The laptop shuts down randomly without warning, as the power cable has been removed or something. It never happened, when the computer is idle, it occurs when you are using Java applications, and more recently when playing games, for example counter-strike: Source. I was told that this problem was due to overheating, so I tried to clean any dust which may be included in the section fan with a can of air spray a couple of times, but still the laptop stops randomly. I installed the latest version of the BIOS, but that has no effect. Does anyone know a fix? My warranty has run out, so I want to try and hold and to send it to Dell if possible. Any help is appreciated.

OK I WAS WRONG, this random shutdown problem was due to the video probe going off...

So in my previous post, I was talking about how everything worked fine when I was on the battery, but it turns off randomly at the time wherever I have to plug my power adapter... Well, it's the reason why...

When you plug in the AC adapter, change power settings, so to change this--> click the battery icon, and then click "power options more"--> here, you have your power plans--> click on "Change Plan settings" for plan whatever you use now-->, and then click "Change advanced settings for power"--> Ok so here U will see a lot of positions under click on each of them , can do all the "connected:" equal settings to "battery on:" parameters (it worked for me) If you experience closing problem even when you are on battery, try turning down all these options, you MUST TURN IN all areas related to your Card(The name tags are pretty self-explanatory,You'll understand when you have a look at them) chart... Leave things alone CPU, unless this still does not work after that you turn down the graphics part...

So, why do all this? Well you grant effectively down the performance of your laptop in turn = less processing is done in a time = which means less heat is produced portable = want to extinguish sometimes clumsy :) (that is to say in the middle of a presentation, at the same time where you were going to present this VERY important assignment or when you wrote just code 500 lines long on Matlab and everything crashes, and all files associated with it gets corrupted etc... either incidentally, all of these things did happen)... And why what happens beginning all after 2 years of beat (in my case, might be early for some of you out there) well thermal glue on your graphics card fades with time, so it is not eliminate heat from the GPU as it used of... for this purpose your GPU will still work at very high temperatures around 101 c, in my case, when he does absolutely nothing! [I discovered this when I ran Dell Diagnostics... [If you're interested, check it out, he made a very thorough control, and allows you to pin point hardware part is faulty]... so, how is this related to the power adapter, well, if you check in the power setting, as I already said, when you plug in the AC adapter, the laptop switches from the GPU, Powersave mode to--> GPU maximize performance mode , so slow temperature Monte, then when you start using your laptop, like move your mouse or by opening a web browser, a little bit of your GPU will be used, which might make it a little warmer and passing the max temperature, actually trigger the security mechanism which turns off your computer...

This method may not work for you, if the thermal glue has completely disappeared... In this case, you may need to change... Just to make sure that, glue/heatsink / fan blocked is the real problem, run the Dell Diagnostics make the "long version", it takes a while, but it checks everything.

So drop my laptop performance helped me? YES, 100%... I can't play games on my laptop, but I can still surf the net, play music, watch movies and use office + some of my programs of Engineering (Matlab, etc)... This should get another 8-10 months, "Hopefully, fingers crossed :))"

While this said about DELL laptops! They SUCK BIG TIME! I may BE a FAN 2 years ago BUT NOT NOW!... People, spend a little more money and BUY APPLE!, I have a few friends who have been with them for over 3 years and they don't SLOW DOWN, MORE than HEAT or to randomly turn OFF! ... So if you want your phone to last at least 3-4 years go APPLE! (Mac Book Pro)... I hated he was surfing systems with low card, 2 years ago but now its seems they is not that expensive, as well as all specifications are really good... for $2000, you can get a good model, compared to a dell for $1500, you pay $500 extra, quality and peace of mind :)...

I own a HP G61 model 448 portable computer CA and have used it with more or less good efficiency over the past four years. Unfortunately but the quality of my battery has dropped considerably in recent months leading to a battery error message every time I turn it on. I also noticed that the charge runs out very quickly when it is not plugged into the minutes rather than an hour or two. I could not find a way to save my battery and repair its effectiveness or find a suitable replacement on the HP online store. I tried to call their support line, but they seem to be busy every time. Restore point:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  • Computer laptop battery "in charge" but stuck at 0%

    Hello

I have a G6-1b79ca Pavilion and the battery stopped charging.

Windows show "Plugged in, load" and level to remain at 0%. Forever.

Of course it is now completely empty.

If I remove the CC of the computer plug, turn it off immediately.

Here's what I did so far, more or less in that order:

    1. replace the battery (recommended by the logon page BIOS...)

    2 tried this popular patch:

Stop-> remove battery and power cord-> hold down the button "POWER" 30 sec-> power supply DC-> Boot->-> battery-> uninstall Microsoft ACPI-Complient control method battery -> Shutdown-> put the battery in the Device Manager (cannot start on him alone because it does not... but maybe that might help)-> start the computer

    3. updated all the drivers and reinstalled all the HP utility (got the Intel drivers on the Intel site)

    4. I updated the BIOS with the latest version and reset to default settings

5 tested the power supply with a multimeter (Psu unloaded, sleeve ground referenced outside it read 19.8V = internal plug, 18V centering PIN)

6 replace the motherboard (which has already been replaced)

    7. replace the power supply

    8 reinstalled Windows

9 weld the power directly to the motherboard adapter in order to bypass the connections all contacts (cut the CC Plug and soldered the bare wires directly on the pcb)

The utility HP BIOS (F2 on startup) told me that the new battery fails the test and must be replaced. Awesome.

The battery in the utility test assistant (run in Windows) HP tells me that the battery is OK, but would need to be loaded (Seriously? It becomes funny...)

So basically the material is new.

Utility Windows/HP tells me that the battery is OK, but the BIOS utility will tell me to replace it.

    What the hell is happening?

The material is supposed to be (entirely replaced) A1 and windows were completely reinstalled.

Any suggestion? My beginning of sanity to fade...

On a side note, here is the situation that I hope not occurred:

    1. the original battery has failed

    2. he burned the motherboard charging circuit

    3. I replaced the battery then damaged mother burned load circuit card

    4. I finally replaced the motherboard that was damaged by the new battery, which was damaged by the previous motherboard, which was damaged by the original battery...

5 return to square one, hundreds of $ less and a lot of time to lose...

I can't buy ANOTHER motherboard/battery combo without going crazy...

    Thanks for any help!

    HE IS ALIVE! Lolll!

The problem is the new battery, I don't know why, but it was completely empty and never had to charge.

I ask the seller to replace and load a new a bit so I was able to start on battery only.

I removed the power supply and the battery, which held the POWER button / 30 sec and started on the battery alone.

Once in Windows I pluged the charger and now it is fully charged!

Looks like the key here is to be able to start on battery alone. one thing I could never reach while struggling with that drained.

This thread of hope help someone solve battery problems, because there are MANY possible solutions.

Thanks to those who have taken their time to help!

  • T510 / T-Series computer laptop fan mechanism / longevity Question

    Hello

I have a question about the fan of the T510 or any other versions of the TP Fans. It is a mechanical bearing or is it a magnetic rehabilitation. Why I ask this is because I cleaned the fan with a cotton swab wiping down and then using a vacuum (yes I know it of not exactly as recommended) dust, vents and the fan blades. Given that the TP works well and without any problems, to the reading of a few other horror stories of fans of mobile phones of other people who have been destroyed by improperly wiping the fan blades out of short circuit of the laptop because the fan caused reverse rotation that has created an engine, I get a little paranoid.

Thus, the difference in the bearings of the fan make a difference? If if it's magnetic or mechanical?

    Thank you

The fan has a very simple mechanism. There is a tree which is made of hard plastic or, more likely, a kind of carbon fiber, which slips into a brass bushing. I've never run a chemical analysis to determine if the tree is made of plastic or something else, or if the ring is brass or bronze.

Please follow the links below to solve the problem.

You may need to make your computer discoverable to Bluetooth devices, or configure Windows to notify you when a new device is trying to connect to your computer. To do this, you need to control how your computer pairs with (connects to) Bluetooth devices.

    Method 1

To control how your computer pairs with Bluetooth devices

    (a) open the control panel by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel.

    (b) in the control panel search box, type Bluetooth, and then click Change Bluetooth settings.

    (c) in the Bluetooth settings dialog box, click the Options tab and do one of the following:

To make your computer discoverable to Bluetooth devices, select the check box for allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer.

When a computer active Bluetooth device is in discoverable mode, it broadcasts a wireless signal that allows it to be detected by other Bluetooth compatible computers or devices. This is sometimes called pairing mode.

    Method 2

If the previous step fails then check and make sure that the Bluetooth function is running on the computer

    (a) click Start reducing this image enlarge this image, type services.msc in the search box and press enter

    (b) right click on the Bluetooth support service, and then click Properties.

Make sure that the service status is set to start and service type is set to automatic.
