  • I have Photoshop CS5 and when I try to launch it after recovering from a crash of the system, I get a popup telling me I have to use Adobe Application Manager.

I have Adobe Application Manager and he wants to give me Photoshop CS6.  I couldn't find a way around THIS so I let Application Manager download and install CS6.  Who wants to be activated but (understandably, I suppose) wants my serial number.  All I have is the number for CS5 so I guess that since I was more or less fed force CS6, that will be fine.  It is not the case.  I went to the Chat facility but told me that they support only the activation problems and/or installation, and since my CS5 (although not functional) is enabled in fact, it's on the forums.  Help?

I finally got things market so I thought that I would return at least to indicate what was necessary in case someone else is in a similar mess.

I had NOT reinstalled CS3 as the two guests and all indications here in the forum suggested that it would be enough just to enter the serial number for CS3.  As it happened in this case - probably because of the goulash that my system has been transformed an operating system crash and reinstall - which would not be good enough.

I reinstalled CS3 and launched so I'm the guest of serial number and has been able to do successfully 'Activé' (see the first picture below)

I wasn't able to get CS3 "registered" (see the second image), but the guest suggested javascript as suspects or internet access, and my presence here in the forum proves neither of those to be wrong. The failure of the connection indicates it may be trying to connect to a resource for activating long dormant CS3 (or dead) at Adobe?

I then restarted CS5 and once I gave my serial number, he was finally happy with any complaint of needing a product calling prior to the upgrade (see third picture)

I have a Toshiba Satellite C660-1F1 has an i3 processor and I recovered from the recovery disks. A few days later, everything is very slow and the Fans are always at full speed, even at idle and there is no dust when I opened it and I replaced the thermal paste.

    Hello

Try to optimize the OS version. Check the startup options and disable all applications that you don't need.
Make sure that all unnecessary applications do not start with the OS. Remove the system from all things, that you don't need.
    Play a little with it.

  • Vista - Error Codes: 0X80072EFE & 0X800705B4 after recovering from Malware

My computer has been infected with Antimalware Doctor and to end the task a message appeared that read something like: "sendrequesttoserverforfileinformation failed. operations are stop/close ' or something on a subserver fault (I got pictures of my screen so I could refer to files and paths so the only I did not capture was the first message from server failure). [Antimalware Doctor had infected my computer once before and I solved the problem of this first time ]. I immediately searched on sendrequesttoserver... (because it was not the first time) and read something that said it will stop your printer driver (?). Because I don't have a hung printer would not be a problem now.

Like the first time, I managed to locate the files in the path: user_name\AppData\Roaming\6C3E7952FB26425C6BF10F68BD53C4E1 (even in the folder of the path as the first time that I had captured an image then too). The files in the folder in the path this time were:070700Setup.exe (the first time, this file is named gotnewupdate000.exe), enemies - noms.txt, the andlocal.ini.

Unlike the first time, I found a file (that I thought looked stranger / unusual) in the path: user_name\AppData\Roaming, who was namede7df18f3.exe (had a picture of what looked like a sheep or lama as its icon). Then I restored my system update this morning there, and when I did it seems to get rid of Antimalware Doctor. All of these mentioned files are gone EXCEPT enemies - noms.txt and the folder named '6C3E7952FB26425O6BF10F68BD53C4E1' in roaming pathfolder, which I deleted as well (not the Roaming pathfolder just the folder with long available to the numbers and letters). The antimalwaredoctor.exe file and the files program and start menu were all gone, too.

Thought that the problem has been resolved...

At this point, Microsoft Essentials popped up and said he did not have an update connections failed. When I tried again, a message box pops up reading "updated Virus & spyware definitions failed... unable to connect to the internet". Details or said technical support information "error code: 0x80072efe... could not install." "Please try again later". Windows Update gives the same error message. I then tried turning on Windows Defender, but after a short time, in which nothing loaded a message popped up saying, ' Windows Defender encountered an error: 0x800705b4.» This operation completed because the time-out period expired. »

I wonder if somehow a driver/drivers have been closed toward the low or affected which have to do with Windows Update, MSE, and Windows Defender, etc. I was able to go on the site Web de Microsoft Security Essentials and do an update via the Security Portal. I tried to use all kinds of antivirus, antispyware progams as suggested by the forum but none seem to do nothing (a part to find regular cookies). I restarted my computer when it is required, and I am still getting these error messages. I thought it's important to mention all the details (that's why I mentioned all the files I've seen) so that it can help you understand the situation. If you wish, I could post the capture images that I have. Please notify.

  • The computer hangs after resume from hibernation

I bought a gateway in 2007 with Vista Home Premium. Great hibernation worked until 7 months after a windows update (I forget which). Now, when I resumed from hibernation, it restarts and comes up with the screen asking me if I want windows to start normally or in safe mode, etc. Any ideas of what could be the cause? Also now, after I try to bring it from being asleep, the screen is black and the computer does nothing. I have to then it reboot. Thank you.

    Hello Mlhargrave,

Thank you for posting.  I found the solution to the problem of you in a Thread here on this site.

We found that sometimes the BCD file may have problems.

You can try this to fix the BCD file.

    1. run CMD. EXE as administrator

    2. run the following command: bcdedit - enum all

Search for "Summary of Hibernate" in the output of the command above (example below):

    Out of the hibernation

    ---------------------

    identifier {3d8d3081-33ac-11dc-9a41-806e6f6e6963}

    Device partition = C:

    path \Windows\system32\winresume.exe

    Windows Vista (TM) Enterprise (recovered)

    inherit {resumeloadersettings}

    FILEDEVICE partition = C:

    FilePath \hiberfil.sys

    PAE Yes

    debugoptionenabled No.

    3. Once you have found, copy the value of the identifier (in this example - {3d8d3081-33ac-11dc-9a41-806e6f6e6963})

    4. run the following command: bcdedit /deletevalue {3d8d3081-33ac-11dc-9a41-806e6f6e6963} inherit

    5. test of hibernation.

Please let me know if this helps you.

  • Windows 7 says is not valid after recovering from an incident

I bought a laptop from bestbuy with windows 7 installed. It came with 4 recovery disks. The computer crashed. We installed the recovery disc but get the error saying windows 7 is not valid and enter the product code which I did not. BestBuy says they can't help me.

you need to be able to use the COA key on the bottom of your laptop or in your battery compartment. It is rare to need a key if you used recovery media OEM key is integrated and self must activate.

Post a report of MGA diagnosis so we can see what is the problem:

To analyze and solve problems for Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the diagnostic report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to the desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )

    Once downloaded, run the tool.

Click on the button continue, after a short time, continue button will change to a copy button.

Click the copy button in the tool (ignore the error at this stage) and then paste (with r-click and paste or Ctrl + V) in your message.

Please indicate the version and edition of windows from your COA. do not specify the product key.

1 you get an error message when tried to register the game?

When you enter your valid product key, the Activation Wizard automatically runs. The Activation Wizard gives you the following two choices to continue:
1 activate by using the Internet: the Activation Wizard automatically contacts the servers of Microsoft licenses via your Internet connection.
    2. Activate by using the telephone: you can call an Activation Center and activate the product with the help of a customer service representative.

  • How can I enable the Task Manager after recovering from an attack of Win32.GEMA

    Hello

I am running Windows XP SP3.

I have recently had an attack of the Win32.GEMA Trojan horse. Details of it are here: http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Threat/Encyclopedia/Entry.aspx?Name=Trojan%3AWin32%2FRansirac.G

    I recovered my system using:

    AVG Rescue Disk

    Kaspersky Rescue Disk

    BitDefender Rescue Disk

    Scan of MalwareBytes

    McAffee analysis

    Hitman Pro Scan

    Spybot scan

    Eusing Registry Cleaner

    CCleaner

Overkill maybe? But it worked... Up to now

Apparently, the Trojan horse disables the Task Manager and that is I'm having bad to restore.

I followed the advice in this article from Microsoft - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913623/ - but when I followed this part

To set the DisableTaskMgr registry entry to 0 for a specific user, follow these steps:

    1. Shut down the computer.
    2. Log the computer by using a user account with administrator permissions.
    3. Click Start, click run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
    4. In the left pane, click the following registry subkey:
      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
    5. In the right pane, double-click DisableTaskMgr.
    6. In the value data box, type 0, and then click OK.
    7. On the file menu, click exit.
    8. Restart the computer.

N ° 5 says that disable TaskMgr should appear in the right pane, but there is no entry to disable TaskMgr. All it is an icon of the small 'ab' (the default) beside it, then, REG_SZ.

Then I tried to follow this part of the article from Microsoft

To set the DisableTaskMgr registry entry to 0 for all users, follow these steps:

    1. Shut down the computer.
    2. Log the computer by using a user account with administrator permissions.
    3. Click Start, click run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
    4. In the left pane, click the following registry subkey:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem\\\
    5. In the right pane, double-click DisableTaskMgr.
    6. In the value data box, type 0, and then click OK.
    7. On the file menu, click exit.
    8. Restart the computer.

This time off TaskMgr was in the right pane - this time with a little "ohho? icon followed REG_DWORD

I tried to create a new entry for the current user by copying one for all users, but not joy.

    Any suggestions?

CTRL + Alt + Del does not receive any reaction whatsoever, no Ctrl + Shift + Esc or click with the right button on the barv task and selecting the Task Manager

    Thank you in anticipation

These KB articles are for a different problem when you receive these messages when you run the Task Manager...

Some malicious software is aware of the methods you're most likely to use to find and remove it (Task Manager, System Restore, command prompt, Internet, Google, etc.)

The malware does not allows you to use things like the Task Manager to find and remove, so it prevents them from becoming a process running on the system and the process will not start or the process will be completed as soon as it is launched.

The malware is happier when he let you think you need to use system restore, a repair install or reinstall your XP from scratch to fix your system when none of this is necessary.

You can fool the malware (and then fix it).

Assuming that your Windows is installed on your drive C, using Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder c:\windows\system32 and locate taskmgr.exe.

Copy the taskmgr.exe file and rename the copy something malicious software will not recognize.  I like to call the copy:

    c:\windows\system32\jose.exe

Double-click on jose.exe and see if the Windows Task Manager window opens now.

The problem is the malware won't let the taskmgr.exe a running process, but he does not know jose.exe as a running process in order to thwart you all (I have a feeling that he will well a day on jose.exe).

Will not 'fix' your task manager, but at least you will know whether or not the Task Manager mechanism works (taskmgr.exe still not start properly).  If you try to remove some malware and the need to use the Task Manager, you can simply launch jose.exe (double-click) instead, but will be still infected your system.

  • Cannot access folders after recovering from the virus.

My system was infected by the virus from Windows recovery. It seems to me have removed, but now I can't access certain folders, such as Documents and settings, Cookies, ect. Change permissions don't seem to work. I'm getting an access denied.

    Hello

Make sure that you have tried the steps listed in the article provided in the method 1 to change permissions.

    Method 1:

I suggest you try the steps from the link below and check if it helps.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/how-do-I-open-a-file-if-I-get-an-access-denied-message

    Method 2:

Alternatively, you can scan your computer for the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Captian El is not installed on the SSD disk fusion part after recovering from the internet

I found that my Mac OS X El Captian is installed on the part of the hard disk of 1 TB disk fusion rather than the part of the SSD drive after the installation of recovery of the internet.

And the SSD disk fusion part seems to be "not fitted"...

May I ask if this is correct?

I saw on the article depending on whether recovery facility will automatically take care of the promenade of the merger and put the files system on the part of the reader Flash memory:

If my drive information below is not correct, do the following:

    1. partition SSD disk fusion part and

    2. Mount and

    3. repeat to Install OS X on this SSD part internet recovery rather than the part of the hard drive of my 1 TB drive

    Your opinion is greatly appreciated!

Images of the State of my hard disk is shown below:

... also, I found that there are 2 Macintosh HD, showing at startup. If I choose a 1st, a banned logo will appear once a while and the will of the computer just froze there. Only when I choose the 2nd Macintosh HD, I can login in the OS correctly...

Should not be only one Macintosh HD picture to the choice at the start?

    Emergency assistance is needed...!

  • Re: After recovering from a tag on the viruses, automatic updates will activate not return

I downloaded a game and a virus that uses a Tag Logo as he called Microsoft XP Security 2012. I kept popping up telling me to register because my computer has been infected with various viruses, worms and Trojans. Whenever I try to use Internet Explorer it would come saying that the web browser was corrupted and infected. To remove this tag along virus I had to use Google Chrome to access the Microsoft Download Center to get the tool to remove malware for July, which took 12 hours to analyze to find a virus! After a San with MSSecurity, a Volume control and the drive clean, my computer was back to normal except for not being able to turn on the automatic updates or go beyond the home page in Microsoft Updates. I love and need for security, software and hardware updates as I'm connected with four other computers for my small home bussiness. If there is a response to ther, please report it! Just don't let it lead to confusion as rebooted form control pane (?) and restart again in him pane (?) control.

    Tony,

A general solution, * IF * it isn't malware issue, would be to reset the update components:

(When was the last time you checked your system for malicious programs?)

In addition to using an anti-virus, as Malware/spyware scan:

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free>

Go to the next article via Internet Explorer (only) & run the fix it 50202 mode by DEFAULT and AGGRESSIVE.

I recently had a virus and I had removed it by my anti-virus provider technicians. I had to boot mode safe several times and now I have found the system restore gives me the message "system restore has been disabled by group policy. To turn on system restore, contact your domain administrator.

I am the administrator on my computer and the only user, and when I try to turn the system restore in system properties is not there! Any help would be appreciated. I use Win XP Pro SP3 pre-installed on a Compaq.

    Robert

I read the reply joelj1964 gave fixmycomp on do start, run and type GPEDIT. MSC, but when I got to the system has no system restore. Probably the virus removed?

    Robert

I fixed the problem thanks to what joelj1964 says "fixmycomp". I managed to find the restoration of the system configuration in the system [at the beginning I was looking in the wrong folder] and I tweaked between off, on and off the restoration and system configuration disabled, enabled, and disabled and after some trial and error [they are two people with disabilities now] and restart 2 - 3 times the system restore worked and now I can do the restore points.

We want to joelj1964 for its indirect support.

  • Why is-HA VM won't return to primary host after recovering from failure?

    Hi guys

I am totally new to virtual machines and my English isn't the best (so please be patient). (I am assisted with a translator to post/read son)

I managed to create a small sandbox at familirise with the beast and at this stage, everything works fine.

My only concern is this topic here.

I have 3 machines, defined as follows:

-No vpro ESX 3.5 host ISCSI (free NAS o/s) and Vcenter

-2 Vpro ESXi 4.0 host in a Cluster HA names ESX A and B ESX configuration. ESX to assign to a virtual call w2k8 AD computer that is the announcement of that network.

Thus, everything works perfectly. If I pull the RJ-45 on ESX, recovery of ESX virtual machine B and restart automatically. HOWEVER, whenever I plug the RJ-45 in ESX, the machine virtual w2k8 AD only go back on ESX A by itself.

Why is this? Is this normal? What Miss me to do such a thing?

Note also that a person currently typing this message for me since my isverry English fundamental understanding and this person is not always there to help me translate it.

Do not hesitate to give long and detailed explanations (as if you where talking to a child). Avoid a quick link with a simple: reply "think that might help." The technology won't be able to read it by himself.

(TRANSLATOR's NOTE: I'm not grumpy at all so I translate to the best of my knowledge and I can't catch him a 'thing' about all this.) The tech English skills are verry basics that explaining from A to Z in simple basic words directly in the wire, the technology should be able to handle most. Thank you for your time and patience.)

    # The only way to keep the VM on the host is to disable HA for this customer.  However, in case of an event HA, the virtual machine will go down, but stay on the same host.

HA monitors the heartbeat of your ESX host, if an event HA, your settings for the cluster to determine what will be the VM (s) occurs.

For us, we set up a HA/DRS cluster as follows, everything by default with the exception of the response of Isolation host (change us it to leave under tension).  DRS is configured for fully automated with a recommendation 3 stars.

On the same blog that I linked the DRS Deep Dive is another deep dive HA.  You should get familiar with the two functions.
