Computer startup problem. Recovery system restarts just the system.

Computer my mother farm very well last night, but after a reboot this morning, the Dell splash screen was covered with blue vertical bars and it kept crashing when you go in Windows Vista.  In safe mode don't work such that it is simply the computer freeze to a black screen and trying to use the system supplied with the right computer recovery disk the computer back at the start of the Dell and plant one more time.

The computer had no errors at all before this problem, so we have no idea of what the problem may be.

Tried to reinstall Vista, it becomes black screen "finish installation" and finally goes back right to the screen of Windows recovery again.

If the information below fail, contact Dell.

  • Problem: My computer hangs and does not restart after the installation of MS Update KB2479628.

Tuesday February 11 I turned my hp Compaq nx7300 off I saw that she was installing updates I thought that nothing of what I had set to automatic updates. On Wedndesday that I have tried to re - turn on my laptop it installed updates. I got a black screen with white writing. The laptop then ran restoration of boot, but he was not able to repair itself and turns off. I tried to turn it back on a few times that I was in total disbelief that a MS Update would do this to my computer, it still does not.

I tried to start the computer in safe mode, but it does not work.

I tried to do a system restore but evertime I tried it there was an error, I tried all eight restore points but all back "an unspecified error occurred during system 0x800700b7 restore.

"In restoration of start I clicked on ' view diagnostic and repair details" it said all tests have been performed with success, but at the bottom it says ' root cause found - boot critical file D:\Windows\system32\ntkrnlpa.exe is corrupt.

I had to reinstall windows 7 pro three times so far and have now developed to the point that it is KB2479628 update of MS that is causing the problem. I the have not installed this time and have had updates to the manual

What can I do about this problem, I spent at least 20 hours on this problem now, and looking for the many other forum of people seem to have similar problems. I'm worried that KB2479628 will settle by accident when I want to install some other updates?

My computer laptop originally had Vista Business top but has been upgraded to Windows 7 32 bit, clean install, I use Microsoft Security Essentials, I've never had installed norton or macafee.

Thank you very much for all your time and your help is greatly appreciated, I'm sure I'll be at the time when SP1 is available.

  • Cannot get rid of the 'dll' during computer startup problem

Whenever the computer is started, I get the following error message:

    Run DLLS

There is a problem starting TaskSchedulerHelper.dll the specific module could not be found.

I searched on the window support pages, articles and a few corrections.  I run disk cleaner, I run performance and maintenance patches and still nothing to get rid of this problem.

Any suggestions? If I'm in the wrong group, please send my request to the appropriate group.

    1. you have a lot of odd entries, some of which may disappear after a reboot.

    2. If you want someone to take another look at the output from Autoruns, next time, save it as "Autoruns Data (* .arn)" and it will be easier to read (it can be downloaded and opened in Autoruns).

    3. with regard to your question with TaskSchedulerHelper.dll.

    • Run Autoruns
    • Select the scheduled tasks
    • Scroll down on the 5th line, which will be probably yellow highlighted and should have the following in the left column
    • \Auslogics\BoostSpeed\Scan and repair
and what follows in the column 'Image path '.
      File not found: TaskSchedulerHelper.dll
    • Clear the check box in the box at the left end of the line
    • Close the Autoruns and restart; You should see is no longer the message on TaskSchedulerHelper.dll

If you have already uninstalled BoostSpeed, wait a week or so and if everything seems OK, run Autoruns, look for the same entry and delete it.

  • Startup problem; XP continuously restarts. Can not read files

I have a problem starting with a computer that running Windows XP SP1a upgrade to SP3. It belongs to another Member of my family, which has switched off the power when a BOUNCING mouse problem has prevented the normal shutdown procedure.  At startup, it shows the screen boot options that if I choose "Safe Mode" or "Start Windows normally" it loads normally to the point where it shows the screen of flying windows for a while, becomes empty briefly, then restarts.

I tried to leave, he in Repair Mode using the Windows Setup disc in the hope to repair the startup files, but have problems to read the files on the C; drive. If I try to look at the records, or change to a different folder, I get the error messages like "invalid drive specification" or "an error occurred during directory enumeration" I guess that's because the XP SP1a installation disc which I use can not handle the 80 GB hard drive and the NTFS file format.

Is it possible I can get access to the boot files

    I solved the problem

After the announcement of this question, I ran CHKDSK from the repair mode and it corrects an error in the file system, and I was able to start Windows.  As a precaution, I have since set a system restore to a few days point more earlier than when the problem occurred, and all goes well now.

  • Problem recovery disc HARD on the Satellite C660

My apologies if this is the wrong sub-forum:

The fool that I am, I changed my WIndows login and password since I use very long passwords, I don't know what I changed it to. Guessing is out of the question.

So I turned on my computer laptop while holding the key 0, what brought me to the Windows Boot Manager screen. I pressed F8 on Windows 7 for advanced options and opted for "Recovery Mode", as I've used in the past to install the operating system from scratch.

It asks me to select a keyboard layout, and then enter my user name and password to proceed to the recovery of HARD drive. It is this lack of password which is the reason for the recovery.

Any advice on what I can do?

    Thank you

    > It asks me to select a keyboard layout and then enter my user name and password to proceed to the recovery of HARD drive. It is this lack of password which is the reason for the recovery.
On this step, you must enter your login name and login password of Windows. Without correct password, you will not be able to start the installation of HARD drive recovery.

There is option to install the recovery image. You can do so now using recovery DVDs. You have created using the preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator?

    Hello

Please follow the steps in the below link:

Important: Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.

If you are not able to start the computer, please try to start in safe mode, and then follow the steps in the article mentioned above.

  • computer startup problem

My computer will only start if I go into the bios, then exit no change she sees my hard drive and windows starts and works very well. If I just turn it on can not find hard drive. It is an old sony vaio model pcv-rx550 using windows xp Ive already updated bios

Sounds like your motherboard battery needs to be replaced (they have one and they do not last forever). The battery is what keeps the CMOS/BIOS of your system settings.

You can check the battery, you will need to get the number and sometimes looking for a replacement to the grocery store or a big box store that sells computers (check the expiration date).  It may be a good idea to take the old battery with you.  When you remove the old battery, your setting will return to the default settings, so you can write the current settings first.

Here is a link to what I hope is the manual of your system that explains how to replace the motherboard battery:

    http://www.KB.Sony.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=PCVRX580SRpdf&sliceId=pdfPage_59&docTypeID=DT_MANUAL_1_1&dialogID=181938766&StateID=1%200%20181954771

You can get an error opening the manual - just click OK and the manual will be always open.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

I need YOUR voice and the points for helpful answers and propose responses. I'm saving for a pony!

  • HP 15-D103TX computer laptop problem: Windows does not detect the dedicated graphics card

    Hi all

I recently bought a laptop HP 15 - D103TX , which is held responsible for Free on BACK. I have updated my Windows 8 operating system and have installed all the drivers from the HP website. The laptop has dedicated 2 GB Nvidia Geforce 820 M graphics card.

But when I checked, I found that Windows displays the graphic memory dedicated only 0 MB.

As you can see in the screenshot, it shows as 0MB dedicated graphics memory.

Anyone can clear me, upward on this subject? Is it a driver problem, or what is Windows 8 going crazy.

Thank you very much in advance!

    Kind regards

    Brahmnoor

Okay, I found the solution. In fact, the Haswell Intel i5 processor that my 15 HP D103TX has also comes with an Intel 4600 GPU intregated. So when I do normal tasks, the GPU intregated works, so Windows does not display the NVIDIA GPU 820M, but when I play a game or doing intense graphics work, he switches to the NVIDIA one.

In fact, it makes sense, because it preserves the battery of the laptop.

Credit: found this solution on the NVIDIA support forums.

  • I bought the photo College as long as on the photo gallery I down loaded it does not find low .i loaded in my other computer, no problem, I searched in this computer can not find it helps.

I bought the College picture for my other computer, no problem, I tried to do the same thing with yhis computer can't find it. I went where it should be, but it isn't here.

    Hello, Dorian,

If you have downloaded in Internet Explorer, go to tools, click View downloads, and you'll see the directory where it has been downloaded. Not visible? Look down, in the bottom left of the word 'options', click on this and it will display the current default folder for downloads, but after writing it down, you can change it to any folder of your choice (mine is C:\__Downloads - always watch first!).

If you use another browser, go to this toolbar for browsers and search for the download folder and display it. You should find similar settings for the other locations.

Let me know if this solves the problem for you.
