Computer stopped to connect to Internet

Hello

I have had trouble finding a bit of luck this problem, google search or here, so I'll try to post.

I have a Dell Latitude D505 in operating Windows XP Professional. Recently my internet just stopped working. I have a card further 1450 WLan Minipci wireless broadband. Basically, I was on the internet one day, and the next time I used the internet computer was not working. The strange thing is the icons in the bottom right of the screen always show me connected to the wireless network.

This has been a problem for some time, I have been messing around for a few weeks without result. In addition, other computers on the wireless network still work, as I am this recovery on one now.

Thanks for any possible help

I'm having a problem with getting my computer wifi hp pavilion all-in-one Office work. It won't let me connect to the internet, but a few days ago it was working fine. I know that I get internet because I use my Tablet right now to write this message, and I use the internet on my ps3 and Xbox 360. I tried to reset the router and disconnect it from the wireless network on my desktop then back to zero, but those who did not. I even uninstalled the updates I had installed because it was the last thing I could do before it's Wi - Fi no longer works, but that didn't work either. Please, someone help me solve this problem. I use Windows 8.1, is a 64-bit operating system, and the product number is H5P61AA.

Thank you very much. I could solve the problem when I was checking on the news you want. When I was checking to see if I had a firewall on, I came across a page that said I had to go to the control panel. While there, I found a troubleshooting guide for network access. I ran that, and he said: ' the device or resource (www.Microsoft.com) is not configured to accept connections on port "The World Wide Web (HTTP) Service".» "When I saw this, I Googled what it meant, and he leads to a page that gave me the idea to try to reopen the internet. This is when I was careful with the expression "the proxy server is not responding." Then I googled how to fix the proxy server. I followed the steps to open the tools then internet options. From there I went on connections, then LAN settings and I unchecked the box «use a proxy server for your LAN...» "& I ticked the box that follows,"automatically detect settings ". Then it worked! So I guess I could MacGyver it later to your questions.

    Thank you.

  • WRT54GS - no internet connection is detected and yet my computer cable to connect to internet through router

I had my router for a little over a year. I am connected to a wild blue satellite modem. He has worked without problem for a year.  Now, he claims not to detect an internet connection, even if the computer connected to the router has no problem connecting to the internet. I just can't connect wireless to the internet because the router thinks that there is no internet connection. I have reset several times, turned on and off the power to the modem, followed all the troubleshooting instructions. All the lights on the modem and the router. I need to replace the router, or I would encounter the same problems with a new?

  • Computer is not connected to the Internet

I've had this laptop for about two months now. I never used it much the first month, but now that I'm in school, I use it every day. At home, he has never had a problem connecting to the internet. Unfortunately, now that I need it in fact, my computer had problems connecting. My school has two different wifi networks: secure and comments. My flatmates sometimes have difficulty to stay connected, but nowhere as much as me.

My computer connects to a network long enough to shoot to the top of the page, however if I try to refresh or click on a link, then my computer loses its connection and I have to go to the other network. At the beginning it was just an annoyance, but at this point, he stopped working in the middle of quizzes and homework and is an absolute pain to be constantly switch between networks, whenever I have to present something. I ran a lot of antivirus scans, I ran to the resolution of problems, and I scoured you internet. School is hard enough, I don't need to deal with this on top of everything else.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Thanks for posting on Microsoft Community.  I understand that you have a problem with the Internet connection. You can try the following methods listed below:

    Method 1:

You can consult the following link and follow the steps:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/cant-connect-Internet#1TC=Windows-8

    Method 2:

Disable the firewall and security software

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/Windows-Firewall-from-start-to-finish

NOTE: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • I just installed a new router and now my desktop running Windows XP computer does not connect to the internet.

    Hello

I just installed a new router and now my desktop running xp computer does not connect to the internet. When I try to dhcp I get 169..., when I put manually the IP just get no access to the internet and can not ping to the router address. I tried to run the net work Assistant, emptied my dns, disabled all firewals, still nothing.
    Any suggestions?
    original title: connectivity Limeted

The zero configuration utility works very well. But it is a desktop computer and on cable. All other wired and wireless PC in the office is working well, then it's definitely this PC. He came out of nowhere, I install a network printer on the PC but that's all.

Your messages are a bit terse, but if I understand correctly

    • You have a router connected to the Internet and multiple computers connected to the router, some Ethernet cable and others by wireless.
    • All but one of these computers can reach successfully from the Internet via the router.
    • A computer that can't browse the Internet is connected to the router via an Ethernet cable.
    • You disconnected the cable between the router and the desktop problem and connected it to a Windows 7 laptop and the laptop connected to the Internet via the router.
    • You haven't seen any error message (except, perhaps, a message on "Limited or no connectivity").
    • You have installed Windows XP Service Pack 3 (or at least Service Pack 2)

Assuming that all the foregoing is an accurate summary of the situation, I suggest that you do the following:

Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
Type the following lines and press ENTER after each line

    Netsh reset winsock catalog
    netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

Close the command prompt window and restart the computer.

Can I get an update for xp home edition 2002 to my computer without being connected to the internet?

    Hi SelenaMR,

Are you facing any problem to install updates?

In Windows XP, it is not possible to update Windows without an internet connection.

Windows Update uses your internet connection to find updates on the Windows Update Web site or on the Microsoft Update Web site that apply to your computer.

What you're talking about is called Windows Internet connection sharing.  There are a lot of 'how to' sites which can be found using Google.  Here's one from Microsoft:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306126

In order to have more computers to share the connection, you must connect a switch (or hub) to the computer 'host' and then other computers to connect to the switch. http://www.Newegg.com/store/subcategory.aspx?subcategory=30&name=switches&order=price

I agree with Brian, however.  You would be better off adding features wireless to other computers.  In this way, they will be able to connect even if the 'main' computer (one that connects currently) is off.

  • Computer stops with a blue screen with error fatal when the iPhone is connected

I know it may not related to windows but I have tried other sites on this issue. My computer stops and a blue screen appears with the message saying fatal error when the iPhone is connected. I tried with or without iTunes installed.

First without iTunes installed, windows will be asked to USB drivers for the iPhone, but I couldn't find anything on the Apple Web sites if I click No., a message appeared, saying that it might not work properly because he could not recognize my device. Second, I have the latest version of iTunes installed, windows began to recognize my iPhone but stop immediately after that with a blue screen fatal error and messeage saying updating the BIOS. Updated the BIOS of the computer, but nothing helped.

My computer runs on Windows XP Home Edition SP3, processor Intel Core Duo 1'66 GHz, 2 GB Ram, Intel GMA 950, Intel 945 GM chipset.

I thought that it requires no USB driver for iPhone on Windows or same iTunes unless I wanted to use it for synchronization or characteristics. Please forgive me if I'm wrong, because I tried it on other computers and it had no problem with the USB drivers and Windows can install by itself.

    Thank you.

    Hi 1980ckc,

    1. have you tried to connect the iPhone to a different USB port?

You can check out the apple support link and check if it hleps:

  • Computer laptop ThinkPad X4F-not not connect to internet via wifi

I only am not computer savvy so please keep answers dummied down if possible. I used this laptop last Friday and it starts today and cannot connect to internet via wifi. No problem whatsoever before that. Checked with other computers and devices in the home and the wireless network and internet are working properly.

Checked this notebook and the wifi is enabled (airplane mode), says its connected to the router (in the connections) but the Scrolls right and said "identification" tray icon Using the LAN works fine. Looked at the wireless card and it says device is working properly and is fully updated.

This computer is running windows 8, which I still have a problem navigate through the.

FOR INFO. Lenovo has solved the problem. They refreshed / reset my computer to factory settings and then flashed the video card to install a firmware update.

It seems that this should be done before they sent me this computer three weeks ago...

  • HP DV7 - 3065dx notebook computer connect to Internet with crazy upgrade hardware!

    Hello

I want to know if I can upgrade my laptop to connect to Internet.

    My unit ~ DV7-3065dx

I would like to add: 4G WiMAX chipset mobile broadband (and pay for the service contract to have internet service)

My unit has been improved to 8 GB of Ram.

Is it possible to do to the laptop and to operate that way rather than using WiFi or Ethernet connections?

Basically, I want to use anywhere, because, with having to use a cell phone hot spot or something like that!

I hope I'm clear on my intentions? What is an option I can do regardless of the cost of the upgrade?

If so, can I get the details so I can do it and find like Verizon or At & T to put in place a contract with a service company?

    Thank you!

P.S. If I can't do that, what model of laptop latest 17inch buy who has these features already built in the factory?

    Hello sunsetMR,

There are at least two options available to upgrade your computer in support of WiMAX. One of the options is, Intel® WiMAX/WiFi Link 5350 and Intel® WiMAX/WiFi Link 5150. There are several manufacturers and different cards you can choose from. To ensure that the card is compatible with your computer, as well as with the service provider you choose.

The other option I would choose personally, would a USB adapter. If search you in Google, '4 G LTE USB internet', you can choose between multiple USB drives and service providers. It would take the guess work out of finding a compatible card and install in your laptop.

    Kind regards.

  • How can I get my computer to automatically connect to the internet whenever I turn it on?

Connect computer to internet automatically switch on

How can I get my computer to automatically connect to the internet? Currently, I have to press Fn F1 to activate the WLAN - not something huge, but a tad boring. Another computer on the same network will connect automatically in setting in motion.

It is a 'feature' of the particular computer you are using. Take a look at the manual; It may be a setting in the BIOS to turn on the wireless on startup.
