Comverting camcorder HD MTS to MP4 with PE11?

Hi people,

I just got a Canon Vixia HF R300 and record its highest definition. According to its manual, this type of "MXP" is 1920 x 1080 @ 60 fps interlaced.

But to my great regret, the camcorder came with almost zero software. Just a "Transfer Utility" Pixela who little more than copy the Multilateral trading system of the SDxc card on my hard drive, something that I can do it manually. In addition, the film is divided into segments of 2 GB which averaged very close to 11 minutes and 27 seconds of film (and an hour is about 10 GB).

When I pull this in PE11, it indicates that the properties are MPEG Movie, 1920 x 1080, 29.97 FPS, pixels 1.0 format.

I want to keep my home movies with the best possible resolution (which I can only imagine is the original resolution), but it's nice save space if possible

I'm an amateur at this and want to make sure I'm not missing something...

If I output 1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 MP4, will be I affect it all? I noticed that the fps is not the same, but interlaced is kinda sorta half speed, anyway...

And I assume that it's ok to concatenate parts of 2 GB.

In addition, I ruin anything by copying directly ALL the MTS files? I see that makes a few small tracking files whenever I have video. All seems ok in PE11, but maybe I don't realize miss me something.

Help or comments appreciated! Cannon left a little high and dry users... but then, I had a pretty decent piece of cheap hardware. So, you get what you pay for.

Thank you!

Mike

So, how do you intend to 'archive' your family memories? On BluRay discs? On a hard drive so that your family will need to gather around the computer, whenever they want to watch your old movies?

The way you want to see your films determines the best model for outputtting them.

If you use Premiere Elements to copy your files to your video camera depends on the results you get. If you are using Windows Explorer works, so go ahead and use it. If this isn't the case, then you should use importer Premiere Elements' video, as I explained in my tutorials at Muvipix and in my book.

But once they are imported in the first, there is no audio data, in fact, the track is missing.  First unsupported of .mts files? Is it possible to convert them into a format supported by first?

I did more research and found out that it is a known issue, using first 6.  The job easier is about to extract the audio using a third party program and then import it separately.  Fortunately I have only 10 clip 30 min to spend so it took only 4-5 hours out all audio.

    Hello

I have a video tutorial with several chapter. I don't want to export it as a drive. I want to export it as mp4 for computer file. I know, for example Windows Media Player can handle the marker. How to export the project with the markers to allow him to move the marker to the next marker?

    and here

      https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/959839

Exactly what the title of the question says. The problem is that I'm using Ubuntu/Linux and solutions identified in the above links do not seem to apply (there is no media - media.windows - foundation.enabled in topic: config since, as its name suggests, it is an option of Windows). I noticed here

It looks like I've been screwed up by an update in a couple of days - which corresponds to my experience, that until a few days ago, everything was perfectly fine (I use VLC to open the .m4v files).

Anyone know some magic button to return? Can I reinstall Firefox 25, if I did? I played randomly with some options in: config (with names suggesting possibly some appropriate behaviors), but nothing good happened...

Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Panasonic PV - GS300 camcorder MiniDV does not work with Windows 7, any suggestions?

I am trying to create a movie with my Panasonic PV-GS300 camcorder, but Windows 7 isn't showing the compatibility.  Any suggestions how to solve this problem?

    Hello

According to the website of Panasonic, the only available driver is for Windows XP (see here: http://shop.panasonic.com/shop/model/PV-GS300?t=downloads&support#tabs). If it will work in Windows 7, it will do it in Compatibility Mode.

To access this, right-click on the device and select Properties. In the window that opens, select the Compatibility tab, along the row from the top and from there, select run in compatibility mode and select Windows XP, Service Pack 2 in the drop-down list box. You can also see in administrative Mode. Make sure you click on apply, then OK.

Let me know if this solves the problem for you.

  • How to convert DVD to mp4 with Windows

How to convert DVD to mp4 using windows media player or something like that? I want to convert to mp4 for my iPod Touch. If possible, I don't want to download any programs like Handbrake, etc., which have suggested other Web sites. This is a DVD that I already own. Once it is converted, how you put on iTunes?

    Hello

There is no option in Windows Media Player to convert a file format to MP4 file format as MP4 file format is not supported by Windows Media Player. The only possible solution is to use non-Microsoft program to convert a file format to MP4 file format. To find the right program, check for the information under articles 'And music videos conversion' in this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Convert-music-videos-and-pictures-from-one-format-to-another

    1. it's quite strange that almost all TV support mp4. What brand and model
TV? What is the source of your mp4 files and how they were encoded?

    2. under titles, take a look at http://sourceforge.net/projects/wmpsub/ but I
do not think that the DLNA specification (playing at) includes support for title of void. Some
other DLNA servers can include support for this as an extension of the owner. You
can certainly search or check some of them. The server Kooraroo is supposed
to support this and there is there a free version (do a web search).

    1. should I set the device to the HDMI output?

    2. what should happen with the laptop?

    Jim

HG-AC90 comes with exit HDMI, USB 2.0 (mini B type), output AV multi. Your system comes with only the USB 2.0 inputs. So, you need use the USB connection to get the display on the laptop.

The HDMI port on the laptop, it's a HDMI output that connects to a monitor to my knowledge. It is not a port of entry.
