Concentric circles, centering and thickness...

Hello

I would like to create a logo based on the space agency European:1280px-ESA_LOGO.svg.png

I started on Illustrator and I have your opinion on the best way to reproduce this game of concentric circles... Under I am CS6!

Thank you pour your advice!

Robin

Robin,

If I (put) understand (you want cuts in parts of the shown circles and you want to change the color of these environments), you can fix both if you:

(1) select the clipping mask and object > clipping mask > release.

(2) select the circles and change the color (you can select them with the direct Selection tool without letting go of the mask, but you will need to release anyroad);

(3) create the cuts as described in the first post, in the last paragraph (see below), and then select the entire document and opposition > clipping mask > make to reapply.

Once you have the circles, you can create the circle (or if she) path to the related to them, select all and opposition > clipping mask > make. If you need cutouts like the circle and the e, you can start creating those on top of the track and object encompassing > compound path > make (if you have indications of the exact path, you can correct in the attributes palette if necessary (use Even-Odd winding rule)), or you can window > Pathfinder (pallet) > less front

  • Text in a concentric circle

    Hello

    I am trying to create a wheel similar to the image below except that I need three segments instead of twelve. I also need a few lines of text for each segment, but I'm not sure that the best way to insert it. I tried to use the 'polar grid tool' and using 'Text on path', however, I am not able to type within a segment / arc without the text goes around the circle.

    Does anyone have suggestions as to how I can go about this? (I hope that's clear!)

    Thanks in advance

    Three groups ar easy once you.

    Back to the polar grid tool.

    Set it to the desired diameter.

    set the radial dividers to 3 and concentric circles on "0".

    draw an ellipse size you want the internal diameter must be

    align the two using the Align Panel (center vertical and then centered horizontally.)

    Select the inner circle and and polar grid object and click on theLive paint bucket tool to turn it into a live paint group

    You can fill out any section with any desired shade, including a background or outline of none.

    Very easy to do with the live paint group. (Note that I completed the sections of Center with a fill of none).

    The text describes earlier if you want to make the curved text and I think you want to do with only the sections tree due to the amount of curve sections require.

    You make to concentric circles which will reflect the amount of attack between two text lines that you must ad the size necessary to correctly place
    the sections.

    you place these two concentric circles on the cut circle you have done as a live paint group.

    Locks the live paint group

    with the scissors tool, cut you concentric circles at the sections radial dividers

    then turn them into text paths

    then the pair the two in each of the sections by making text son Type > text Thread > Create

    Now, type your text for each section. You can do this with two triangles if you want the text to the right

  • How to draw concentric circles using shapes in illustrator drawing

    I am on the iPad and try to draw concentric circles from a diameter of 1 cm

    the circle of form Adobe seems to have that one size.

    am I missing something?

    Hello Gita,

    The circles in the menu form from raffle can be resized.

    When you click a shape, Slide Touch open with her.

    Tap one finger (concentric circles) guides to get the shape you want to change (circles, squares and triangles).

    Once you see the shape you want, it can be reduced or enlarged by placing your fingers or the other side of the contour and making dragging/pinch.

    You can 'stamp' shape on the canvas by double-clicking on the contour (will be described with all that brush you chose).

    If you want to change a circle to an oval, when you have the size you want, now pressure on the main lines. Depending on where the sketch you press you will see either a vertical or a horizontal line in the middle of the form. As soon as you see who... Drag. Give it a try.

    Hope that helps.

    Sue.

  • Concentric circles

    How can I create concentric circles in Photoshop CC?

    I'm sure that there must be an easy way, but I can't get out :-(

    Concerning

    Bob

    Each circle can be made by using the elliptical selection tool and bearing the same numbers of H & W in the Options bar

    Edit > stroke

    Place each anywhere in the area of the image, but each on a separate layer

    Select all the layers in the layers panel

    Use the move tool and in the Options bar, click on the vertical, then horizontal alignment symbols.

    Flatten the layers if you wish.

    I have a problem with something in firefox, it is quite minor, but still bothers me. Last night suddenly when I right click view image in firefox, they appear centered and on a black background. He is generally meant to be a white background and the image that appears at the top left. I don't remember what I did to change this if it's my fault; If anyone knows how to get back to it, I would be grateful.

    This is the new behavior in Firefox 11.

    When I make a rectangle, the left and right edges are a bit fuzzy and thicker, then the bottom and at the top. It seems very strange and I don't know why that is.

    I made a new document (72 dpi, preview mode: by default) and I tried to see if it's the same thing on another screen, and it is.

    I thought that the problem would be with the 'align on the pixel grid' property but by activating / deactivating it doesn't matter. Maybe it's something with anti-aliasing? "Work of anti-aliasing" is checked in my preferences...

    Lieselot,

    Or you can try to switch between the GPU and CPU by pressing Ctrl / Cmd + E, or you try disabling GPU performance by clicking on the icon of the rocket in the bar of the App, or on the top of the menu bar, deselect the box Performance GPU. You may also uncheck performance GPU in your preferences.

  • Reports on multiple virtual centers and export to CSV format

    Everyone,

    Does anyone know if possible a way for me to do the following in the following format.

    Requirements:

    (1) report on multiple virtual centers

    (2) export results to CSV or Excel with a title between each virtual Center

    (3) the need for Virtual Center Cluster belongs, name of the Cluster, host number of ESX and number of virtual machines. (Additional information can be added to the report later).

    It would be not so hard if I could just connect and report on all virtual centers and my results to export in this way.  However, each virtual server Center have a different purpose and that is how senior management wants to see the results.

    For example:

    VC3 VC1 and VC2 = service server environment

    VC4 and VC5 VC6 = service Workstation environments

    VC7 VC8 = environment of Cloud Computing Services

    What I would do is:

    (1) connect to the first 3 virtual centers and collect the above information.

    (2) I would like to create a title in the CSV or Excel named 'Standard Server environment summary'

    (3) then I would like to export these 4 columns with data for each cluster.

    Cluster is managed by this Virtual Center, the name of the Cluster, number # VM and ESX host

    I then unplug the 3 first virtual centres.

    Next

    (1) I would like to connect to the 3 next virtual centres

    2) add to the previous CSV or Excel with a title 'desktop environment summary.

    (3) export the same information as above in the CSV file

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Try something like this

    $vcenters = @{}
    $vcenters["Server Environment"] = @("VC1","VC2","VC3")
    $vcenters["Workstation Environment"] = @("VC4","VC5","VC6")
    $vcenters["Cloud Environment"] = @("VC7","VC8")

    Set-PowerCLIConfiguration -DefaultVIServerMode Single -Confirm:$false | Out-Null
    $vcenters.GetEnumerator() | %{
      &{foreach($vc in $_.Value){
          $currentvc = Connect-VIServer -Server $vc      Get-Cluster -Server $currentvc | %{
            New-Object PSObject -Property @{
              "Cluster is managed by VC" = $currentvc.Name          Cluster = $_.Name          "# of ESX hosts" = @($_.ExtensionData.Host).Count          "# of VM" = Get-View $_.ExtensionData.Host -Server $currentvc |          %{@($_.Vm).Count} |          Measure-Object -Sum |          Select -ExpandProperty Sum        }
          }
        }} | Select "Cluster is managed by VC",Cluster,"# of ESX hosts","# of VM" |  Export-Xls -Path C:\report.xls -WorksheetName $_.Name  Disconnect-VIServer -Server $currentvc -Confirm:$false}

    You will have to render the Xls export function.

    Simplest is to include in the script with the code above.

    The name of the group is reflected in the name of the worksheet, having a separate line would be a little more difficult.

  • non - SBB and SBB fonts with the help of sharpness and thickness?

    OK, so how can I use sharpness and thickness with CFF fonts? I read the CFF fonts are what new spark controls use to provide more features and I can't use the sharpness and thickness with them... WHY!

    I tried to put SBB on false to my fonts I integrate via css, but then spark text controls use the embeded font.

    Can someone help me with this please?

    I don't know of any option other than using mx text elements.

  • Reference Dell HDS - recommended VMware virtual disk - drives provided - basic and dynamic thin and thick.

    Can someone point me to the literature on best practices for guest disc formats?

    I know all the Compellent thin-provisions. However, in VMware 5.5, when you set up a virtual disk in the comments you have several choices:

    • Lazy provisioned to zero thickness
    • Eager provisioned to zero thickness
    • Provision of thin

    And then, at the level of the OS, you have the choice of:

    • Base
    • Dynamics

    I would like a pointer to the technical document explaining the advantages/disadvantages of each choice and recommended best practices.

    Kind regards

    Kath

    I would like to either thin or thick lazy to zero.  The two will take the same amount of data on the HDS.  The main decision is where you want to manage your storage space?  If dilute you on thin you need to make sure that you make no provision in both places.  If you have thick lazy to zero, then you can only on commissioning on one side.

    Say that I always thin on thin.  Recovery of the space at the level of the virtual computer is not officially supported immediately, but maybe someday.

    In a virtualized environment, always keep it simple.  There is no dynamic performance with virtualization
