Conductor / vTPS - special Conference multi-party merger fails

Hi all.

I installed this same scenario several times for other clients without previous problem.

When you try to merge the 3rd participant VC, the merge fails. The message "Unable to merge" OSD endpoint

Conductor dialed says"disconnected B2BUA call on penetration saying"Timed out waiting for the acknowledgement.

The current environment is:

Conductor: 4.2

Any ideas would really be appricated. I've enabled diagnostics logging, but don't see anything in there that I can identify as being the issue

    It is necessary to import AD users, because the solution uses the GUID of the user to ensure that they get assigned a PMP license, in the guide linked earlier, it's documented on pg 2 and is an example on the next page.

  • Cisco Jabber with Cisco multi-party Shared more Licenses

    Hello

    I'm looking for a Solution to video conference for approximately 4000 employees. Currently the customer uses Cisco's Jabber for video calls from point to point. The main requirement is Ad - Hoc videoconferencing by any employee at any time. I looked at both meeting of Cisco and Cisco TelePresence Server server. The two solution requires more or licenses more pluralistic multi-party Personal shared. The customer won't buy a PMP license for each user. Their requirement is multimedia resources shared so that any employee can initiate an ad hoc conference.

    Now the question is: can we use Cisco Jabber with multiparty licensing shared?

    Thank you

    Mockus S

    Yes, it is quite possible.

    The only singularity is with PMP + which applied slightly differently than the head of the Orchestra/vTS. This does not seem to match your use case since you intend to buy only SMP licenses +. From version 2.0 (1) CMS, PMP + licenses - which are less expensive than SMP + - use only if: a) the space belongs to a LDAP user with a PMP + license for which they are responsible; or (b) If a user LDAP with PMP + assigned to them joins the Cisco meeting App space as an authenticated user. In all other scenarios, including ad-hoc escalation with CUCM licensed SMP + is consumed. This is different from that of head of the Orchestra/vTS, which were also able to understand the right to the user for ad-hoc calls.

  • Multi-party sharing with VCS

    Hi, looking for some clarification.

    Can I use the multiparty licensing shared if I have a VCS rather than CUCM for call control?

    The ordering guide indicates that it would cooperate with the VCS.

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/solutions/collateral/collaboration/PERV...

    page 4 - notes: although Cisco UWL Pro applies only to the Cisco Unified Communications Manager based deployments, SMP can be used with Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco telepresence video Communication Server (VCS).

    The CUCM deployment guide

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/TD/docs/Telepresence/infrastructure/con...

    said only CUCM, not VCS - page 99.

    thoughts?

    Multi-party sharing (SMP) licenses can be used with VCS, the licenses that are managed by the Chief and not CUCM, unlike multi-party staff (PMP).

    I have reduced the problem in 1 column and now knows that this query will trigger the problem:

    Oracle recommends to use Unicode (AL32UTF8) as the database character set. Anyway, I'm still not sure that the problem is necessarily tied to the character set. So, as you suggest, it might be useful to have the list of family names is generating the error.

    You can try something similar to the following:

    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE names_ty IS TABLE OF VARCHAR2(50)
    /

    CREATE TABLE bad_names(lastname VARCHAR2(50) NOT NULL);

    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE logBadName(p_name VARCHAR2)
    AUTHID CURRENT_USER
    IS
        PRAGMA AUTONOMOUS_TRANSACTION;
    BEGIN
        INSERT INTO bad_names(lastname) VALUES(p_name);
        COMMIT;
    END logBadName;
    /
    SHOW ERRORS;

    DECLARE
        customersNames   names_ty := names_ty();

        BAD_NAME_EXCEPTION EXCEPTION;
        PRAGMA EXCEPTION_INIT(BAD_NAME_EXCEPTION, -31061);

        xmlInfo     XMLTYPE;
        idx         PLS_INTEGER;
        lastName    VARCHAR2(50);
    BEGIN
        SELECT lastname
        BULK COLLECT INTO customersNames
        FROM customer;

        idx := customersNames.FIRST;
        WHILE idx IS NOT NULL LOOP

            lastName := customersNames(idx);

            BEGIN
                SELECT XMLElement("name", lastName)
                INTO xmlInfo
                FROM dual;

                EXCEPTION
                    WHEN BAD_NAME_EXCEPTION THEN
                        logBadName(p_name=>lastName);
            END;

            idx := customersNames.NEXT(idx);
        END LOOP;
    END;
    /

    And finally the rows in the bad_names table will give you the information you're looking for.

    I hope this can help you.

  • Conductor BBFRR planned Conference in TMS - granularity alias missing

    Hi all

    I've been supported configuration for regular calls of telepresence with driver X2.1 and TMS 14.2.2.

    Everything is fine - the only thing miss me, and I wonder about is regex support to the boss of the Alias in aliases for telepresence driver tab in TMS.

    The only variable that actually "is" is the % sign. It corresponds to the 5 channels of digit numbers starting with 10000.

    Is it possible to use 'normal' regexes here as in CUCM bosses or VCS search rules?

    I wish I could write an E.164 range has for example, as [email protected] / * / or

    40955511\[email protected] / * / -while I have 100 alias in this form.

    So far, all my efforts proved fruitless, as everything that I entered as a model of Alias, ends with a completely ridicilous regular expression on the far right, which makes me think of nothing is supported except the % sign. A way to change or modify it?

    Support of all thoughts of eut or TAC?

    Anyone with a similar experience?

    If it doesn't "stick" I guess I'll have to find an exotic way to the use of models of translation.

    Another question:

    With BBFRR, this alias tab alias PTC Conference is one that is driven by XML endpoint?

    Thank you

    Mihail

    Hi Mihail,

    In TMS 14.1 and 14.2, it is hard coded as '%' grows to 10000. However, this was changed to 14.3, which will allow us to release later in July. The draft of 14.3 release notes:

    If you close the manual and look in the lower right corner, you should see a button at the end of the lab.  You will be asked to confirm.

    Then you should be able to reregister.

  • Video conference will operate without a license server TP and conductor?

    Hi all

    We need POC for video conferencing with Cisco Jabber on desktop. The scenario is similar to that we have CUCM 10.5 running in the trial license and server TP and TP driver running on the virtual machine without a license.

    We will reach videoconference without license server TP and conductor?

    Thank you & best regards

    Louis Nithin.

    Conductor Essentials can run without licenses, it offers all the functions of conductor but is limited to 1 bridge Conference and no grouping, refer to table 1 in the conductor datasheet for more information.

    TelePresence Server requires licenses to operate, you will need to purchase a license for the software, so it can be activated, as well as wallpapers or multiparty license licenses.  Screen licenses are per participant and installed on the telepresence server itself, while the multi-party licenses are either user or conference of base that are installed on the conductor.  Refer to the presentation of the product just above 1 Figure in the data sheet of the telepresence Server about the screen and the multiparty licensing options.

  • Who can tell me what is the difference between the bridge of conference equipment and software Conference bridge

    This is a problem, I can do special conference internal IP phone which are registed on a CallManager. but I can't get an ad-hoc conference through the voice gateway (what voice gateway not set up any conference bridge).

    Material conference bridge has difference functionly the software conference bridge?

    Can I do an ad hoc conference cross h.323 Voice Gateway(which voice gateway not configure any conference bridge)?

    best wish

    I'll assume that you focus on Media Communications Manager (CUCM) only resources for software conference resources.

    The fundamental difference is that with the software resources, the mix of media is controlled by the CUCM.  Specifically, this is controlled by the IP Media Streaming (IPVMS) Voice service.  The maximum number of audio streams that can be dealt with by the CUCM is configurable.  The default value is 48 streams.  This is configured in the system > Service parameters > IP Voice Media Streaming service.  You don't need to change this option for your dilemma, just a point of information.

    With the software resources, the main consideration is that these resources can only support G.711 participating to a conference.  No other files cannot be used.

    Material resources are a tad more complicated.  Yet once, I will assume that we are talking about IOS voice gateways.  The hardware conference bridge uses local processors for digital signage (DSP) to provide the mix of Media Conference.  You can support several codecs like the DSP can also transcode.  Of course, when you do this, that you must take assignment DSP account because a DSP is a piece of hardware, like the RAM it has a limited capacity.  If you enable the high complexity CODECs, a DSP needs processing power which means it can hit capabilities earlier (that is, with fewer calls).  There is more to this, but you can read about it yourself.  I'll give links below.

    The essential point that, apart from the way in which they are provided and differences in ability of the CODECs and capabilities, in a CUCM media resources management perspective they are the same.  You assign the media resource to a group of media (MRG) resources, you then set the MRG (MRGL) media resource group list.  The MRGL can be assigned directly to a device or a device pool.  Now, when a user initiates a conference of an IP phone, the MRGL assigned to the phone (or peripheral pool of the phone) is engaged.

    Now, your specific scenario.  To include a remote on / off net/RTC party in your conference, voice gateway doesn't have to be a conference resource.  IOW, you can use a resource of software in the scenario you describe.  You need to check is:

    You can call the net party off directly?  Which means, can IP-phone call PSTN phone outside a conference?

    If not, then fix that problem before you try to the fault of the conference resource.

    If so, then take a look on the codec that you use when you place this call.  So another thing that G.711 is used when you shout to the PSTN, then Software Conference fails and you must look for alternatives.

    Yes, you can record a vTP to CUCM as a CFB.

  • No conference active on driver of telepresence

    Hello

    Can you help me with a problem with the driver of telepresence, the problem is that I can´t see active special conferences Telepresence driver when I do an ad hoc a C40 conference, it seems that is using its own resources for conferences because I can only add 4 participants and the fifth participant is audio only. I think that driver telepresence will not take place on videoconferencing. Teleprecense conductor conference bridge is registered with CUCM, I added a MRG and MRGL is applied to the C40. I hope you can help me with this.

    Kind regards.

    OK, maybe that's your problem. The Multipoint should say MediaResourceGroupList or MRGL. I think its because of the TC version you are running. I would consider going later and try again.

  • Failover of telepresence conductor

    Hello

    We have a conductor & two telepresence conference bridge.

    We are in the phase of deployment & assuming telepresence are registered in the conductor & driver is connected to 10.5 CUCM via SIP Trunk.

    In this scenario, a conductor is a single point of failure. If the driver fails, CUCM will not be able to communicate with the telepresence.

    What happens if the driver goes down? Users will not be able to make Conference calls? To reach the failover can I set up 2 different SIP trunks in CUCM, one for CUCM to the driver & second for CUCM to TP & assign priorities?

    We have a gateway ISDN CTI-3241-GWISDNK9 as well. What is the best place to deploy the ISDN gateway in network? is it connected with driver or CUCM?

    For the planning of conferences, which is also the best place for the costume of telepresence management? must connect with the driver or with CUCM?

    Kind regards

    Francisco

    Hello Francisco -.

    To answer your question: what happens if the driver goes down?

    Because CUCM sees the conductor as the conference bridge, as the telepresence server is located behind the driver, no conference that use the driver would be able to begin to be.  It would be the same as if you were using TelePresence server directly with CUCM and it should fail, no conference using the TP server would be able to start.  The same would apply even if you have used the TMS.
