Config Service IPS 5520 policy assistance
I have a 5520 running 7.2 (4) (Routed, unique context) with a SSM20 running 1.0000 E2.
I'm struggling a bit with DFS configuration on my 5520. I created 2 service policies, one applied to a DMZ interface and configured as 'in-line '. Others applied within the interface and set up "promiscuous" (until I get it tuned).
It seems that there is no way (about 7.2) to run each service its own virtual sensor on the SSM20 strategy. That's why I'm fighting a little trying to determine what political Service sends the traffic that triggers a particular event. Is there something in the SSM event log that identifies which Service policy sent traffic to the virtual sensor?
Thanks in advance!
David
The ASA does not say the SSM what policy sent the package, so that the SSM cannot declare what policy sent him. Only if we monitor the promiscuity or inline (and in the case of 8.0 what context it comes and which virtual sensor to use).
Other things that might help.
Look at the addresses of alerts.
If the source address is an address DMZ, then probably the DMZ policy.
If the source address is an address to the inside, then probably domestic politics.
If the source address is an address from the outside, then watch the address of destination.
If the destination is an address DMZ, then probably the DMZ policy.
If the desintation is an address to the inside, then probably domestic politics.
Why?
In the case of TCP SYN packet will determine what policy will affect the rest of the packages.
And it's the first corresponding ips policy that will determine the type of monitoring.
If a packet coming FROM the DMZ to Internet SYN will be first checked by the DMZ policy. If the DMZ policy is, then it will be inline monitored (by the DMZ policy).
Similarly a SYN from the DMZ TO the Interior package will check first of all by the DMZ policy, then it will it be controlled by domestic politics. If the DMZ policy match then the SYN and the rest of the packets for the connection will be guarded inline. If corresponds to the policy of the DMZ, then domestic politics will be always checked, but it is the policy of the DMZ that determines the promiscuity or inline because it's the first policy matched. If the DMZ policy does NOT match the SYN packet, but is domestic politics, then the connection will be histocompatibility by domestic politics.
Conversely, however, a package SYN FROM inside the DMZ will be firt compared to domestic politics.
Inside corresponding to the first policy would cause the connection to monitor histocompatibility. Politics of the DMZ would be verified, as well, but with the domestic policy corresponding to the first, it will track promisuous.
If domestic politics does NOT match would be the a political DMZ was filled with online monitoring.
At least that's how I think that it worked in 7.2. The above, this is how it works in 8.0 when we tested with virtual probes and so I guess it worked that way in 7.2 as well.
In your alerts above. The first alert was 'Actions droppedPacket + deniedFlow + tcpOneWayResetSent' Deny/Drop actions cannot run in Inline mode, so it must come from the DMZ policy.
The second alert was 'Actions denyPacketRequestedNotPerformed + denyFlowRequestedNotPerformed' and 'NotPerformed"to Deny/Drop actions usually only happens with the Promiscuous mode. So, he had to be domestic policy.

The reason why you got the warning is because you already had the global "service-policy global_policy" line in the config. You didn't have to be reintroduced in this one.
You must get rid of "policy-map IPS-POLICY.".

The Customer Service of group policy has denied access problem
After the execution of a routine Windows Update as I always do, I was asked to restart my HP laptop (running than Home Premium 32-bit Vista). The only other thing I had opened was a radio station playing music from the internet. I didn't close anything before restarting as I thought he would close himself. So I just rebooted. Like the reboot process that was going on, I noticed that my laptop came into DOS mode and all kinds of lines of text have been created and saved, but I assumed it was part of the updates. However, when I went to reconnect, I was greeted by the following: group access policy Customer Service refused.
Much I read on the forum and heard that this problem occurs for many. What I read, it seems to have nothing to do with the specific update or that they were installing the software, but everything to do with the user account?
I had only one account configured, so I was forced to restart in safe mode in order to create a new account. But when I created this new account, it does not appear in the c:\Users[user-name]\Music\iTunes\iTunes. All my user account is a folder owner and a Public folder, and no record has my user names listed in their breast. So I couldn't copy the files from my old username to my new.
I tried to restore my computer to a different date, but unfortunately, I had too many things on the laptop to create a backup file on the D drive, I never did. I know, stupid me!
I also tried looking up 'services' in the help section and then scroll to find "group policy client" and that there is nothing listed at close distance from that.
I've seen a lot of these posts dating from 2008, 2010 and 2011, and I tried just about every does not.
Can someone help me please? I use this laptop for my home based business and my Quickbooks is. I depend greatly on this laptop, and I need to work again for me!

Windows 8 could not connect to the Customer Service of group policy on my HP Pavilion
We recently purchased a HP Pavilion laptop g6 C7C77UA #ABL with 8 64-bit Windows. It seemed to work fine until a week ago (we only had it for 2 weeks). I can access the computer through my user that I'm the system administrator, but my husband try to click on the user whenever he has a message that appears saying Windows cannot connect to the customer service group policy, please see your system administrator. He could access his side in all first, we bought the computer.
I did troubleshooting and it comes up saying that Windows Firewall is configured incorrectly. I tried to go in the windows firewall, but it is not letting me, he just guard spinning and finally said that he does not.
So far, I like my HP Pavilion, but I'm about to throw it out the window because of Windows 8. Please help me! Thank you!

Published by: attitude Sep 19, 2012 21:26Hello
you kill the instance or has he stopped?
If you stop it then it is planned. You must move the service first.
If the instance is aborted abnormally (or the server is killed) it should failover.

I FOUND THE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM!
The crash of your computer during updates Windows caused which!
I had this problem on my laptop since November, and it really annoyed me. I sifted through the event log and found the model of events leading up to the issue and, probably, he did.
In short, the model is as follows: Windows updates automatically run as planned, and when restarting is launched after the updates are complete, the computer crashes (probably during the reboot sequence). When starting, it signals that the last stop was not planned, and the question starts to happen.
I spent 2 days trying to dig a solution by Internet, without success, until I came across this page. It says nothing about this particular problem, but it gives more information on the SVCHOST process that launches many services, including Group Policy Client. It seems that when restarting vital registry settings have been lost during the accident and Group Policy Client 'do not know' how to start. Let me explain:
There are two places to look in the registry:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services this path must contain gpsvc key (a record), which is responsible for the configuration and service settings. I found the key was intact, so you do not touch anything here - just check that the key exists.
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows svchost It's the most important way you should look at in, because it should contain keys and values under the #1 key. Here are descriptions of what must be present there.
- There must be called GPSvcGroupmulti-string value. My laptop was missing it. Thus, you must create the multi-string value called GPSvcGroup and assign it the value GPSvc.
- Then, you must create a key (a folder) and name it GPSvcGroup - this key should normally be there, but, again, that it was missin on my laptop.
- Open the newly created GPSvcGroup folder, then create 2 DWORD values:
- First called AuthenticationCapabilities and you must give it a value of 0 x 00003020 (or in decimal form 12320)
- Second, called CoInitializeSecurityParam , and it must have the value 1.
When you have finished all the above steps, restart the computer, and the problem will be solved.
Step by step video for those who are not very technical procedure is here: http://youtu.be/4m5KEmckWK4
I'm so relieved that I could remedy and hope this will help others with the same question.

The Group Policy Client service failed to connect windows 8.1 after update
Hello
I got an automatic update from Microsoft on my laptop this morning and now I can't get past the log in. I either get "your PC is offline.". Please sign in with the last password used on this PC or service The Group Policy Client could not connect.
Thank you very much

Hello ColinMorton,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.
I understand that you experience connection problems after that you run a Microsoft Update. I would recommend you look at the HP support document: Safe Mode of Windows 8 (8.1 is exactly the same) and the safe boot mode. Once you are in Mode safe I would recommend that you look at and follow the steps in the HP Support document: use Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8) (8.1 is exactly the same) and restore your system a few days before the update that caused you this problem. This will not affect your applications only personal folders that you have installed in the past few days and/or the settings that you have probably changed. You can simply reinstall the applications and/or re - change the settings later.
I hope that I have answered your question to your satisfaction. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great weekend!

Windows 8 Group Policy client service, has no sign in
Hello
I am running Windows 8 Professional, and over the past two days have experienced random errors, try to connect.First of all, when I log on as a standard user, I get the message ' customer service group policy has no sign in "and cannot connect. If I try to log in as administrator I can connect but Windows recreates the profile from scratch and when I get to the menu start I have no apps posted and it cannot find all the programs through research. This problem has happened twice now, and it seems to settle temporarily after the reboot, but this morning, it took 4 reboots to fix.I also have the error "Windows could not connect to the system event notification service", and once again, it seems setting after restarting a few.I scanned my SDD on which the operating system is installed and there is no error reported.I am worried that during the next reboot the problem will come back and will not be repaired. Can you please tell me how to resolve this.Kind regardsMatthewOK, guys, I already posted solution in other threads, and it's for Windows 7. But it seems that it's exactly the same problem and a very widespread--caused by accident during the restart initiated by Windows Update. I'm to re-post here. If anyone can test it on Windows 8 would be great. If you need my help let me know - I'm really very interested to test it on Windows 8.

How to use the same services-config for servers the and remote.
My flex project works very well using the bottom but when I download my flash on the server I do not work, all the files and related paths are the same execpt remote is a linux server.

" < endpoint uri = ' http://localhost/domainn.org/AMFPHP/gateway.php "class="flex.messaging.endpoints.AMFEndpoint"/ > "but I don't know how to use the same services-config for servers the and remote.
I'll back up a bit.
Breakpoint URLS are defined as follows in the services - config.xml:
https://{server.name}:{server.port}/{context.root}/messagebroker/amfsecure
The meaning of each of the tokens is clearer when we see them as part of a complete url. If your context root is set to http://localhost , then I have no idea how your application runs in any environment.
If you leave the server.name and server.port chips in your configuration file, then they will be replaced when executing according to the location from which your application is served. However, the context.root token is replaced at the time of the compilation based on the value that you specify in Flex Builder or when calling mxmlc.
In order to reuse your file services - config.xml, you must use the same context-root on your development environment and to your deployment environment.
