Configuration of DCOM returns on its own

We have a small LAN with a domain name, (a forest) and Windows 2008 R2 domain controllers.  3 controllers about 100 workstations Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 domain.  The domain functional level is Windows Server 2008 R2.  We have some Group Policy objects, but I do not think that one of the GPO contains settings that apply to the configuration of DCOM on workstations.  The workstations with which we conduct the issue are 64-bit Windows 7 Pro.  We have some Windows 7 x 86 machines, but this problem only affects the x 64 computers.  The specific parameter setting, with that I'll have the issue is - in DCOMCNFG. EXE, expand Component Services, computers, my computer... Right click on desktop and select Properties, then go to the default properties page.  The parameters that we use are: Activate Distributed COM on this computer box is enabled. COM Internet Services activated on this computer is not checked.  The default authentication level: this is the setting that changes itself.  We need to be on to connect.  It keeps however, back to 'None '.  More strange, is that this problem does not affect all computers, but it is not limited to a single computer.  There are several computers that do.  We analyzed for malware and found no; We are behind a hardware firewall that is robust and we run anti-virus in real time and updates throughout the day every day.  So I don't think that it is malware.  Is there a GPO setting that could be the cause?

More notes: there is a setting under DCOM Config, with ID {DF4FCC34-067A-4E0A-8352-4A1A5095346E}, with a local path 'C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe.  If we define 'Connect' authentication on this DCOM application, it should solve our problems (i.e. to ensure that our work programs) without having to go into the desktop - properties, set the default authentication level to connect.  And it DOES not solve our problems on 32-bit computers, but is not on 64-bit computers!  I think it's because 64 bit computers use the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer, and the path is C:\Program Files (x 86) \Internet.exe, but the {DF4FCC34-067A-4E0A-8352-4A1A5095346E} the path of the DCOM object is the same is it's on 32-bit computers, without the (x 86), so the DCOM configuration does not have effect on 64-bit computers.

If anyone can help me understand how to 'Connect' DCOM setting take effect on Internet Explorer on 64-bit computers, without having to put the computer to my level, OR, help me find a way to keep the default authentication 'connect' setting to 'My Computer' in DCOM level, to change himself back to "None", what he made of himself... I'll be a very grateful person.

Thank you very much, in advance!

  • R7000 can't access admin page and IP DHCP address range changed on its own

I noticed recently that my IP range internal from 192.168.1. * to 10.0.1 on its own. I think I got the router configured to auto update to new firmware, so I think that it updated itself and change its settings. When I try to access the admin page that nothing loads. I tried 10.0.1.1 and 192.168.1.1 and nothing comes up. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem recently. I will be eventually provided to the factory settings and set it back up like that, but I'm hoping to exhaust my options before you go this route. Any ideas?

I was able to determine the cause. He I warned when you say IP changes when there is a second device with DHCP. I noticed there was some new computers on my network when I watched the network file share. I use the Netgear Powerline device to do wired connections to my living room. What I think has happened is that my recently developed neighbouring apartment unit in place the internet and also uses a feature of current line. I noticed that my DNS suffix changed to a different address, which is the ISP instead of my router. I put 2 and 2 together and realized that my network was overlaps sound via the Powerline. I have never set up an encryption key on the Powerline online so it was still using the default settings and connecting to my neighbors by current carrier. When I added the encryption key, the problem disappeared and my network returned to normal. Next time I should follow the instructions when setting up new network equipment. Oops

  • Thunderbird downloads emails from the mail server to its own server?

Download Thunderbird and Horus email on its own server, or wiat for pull emails from my mail server until I have connect and download them?

There is no 'server Thunderbird', so that solves the first part of your question.

I don't know what you mean by "log in."

Thunderbird, retrieves all in all, your messages from the server when you tell him, or you can configure it to do periodically.

To access your messages, he must know the username of the e-mail account (very often all or part of your e-mail address) and the corresponding password. If you allow Thunderbird store the password, there is no need even to think of "connection" to the mail server.

I said "basically" because with some IMAP servers, messages seem to be fed to Thunderbird as and when they become available, assuming he is alive and online.

My brand new 27-inch Imac 3000-buck restarts on its own. I'm under EL CAPITAN - sorry; my profile says Mavericks. Will change now.

An article said that Spotlight is the culprit.

In addition, two times I woke up to find my computer had just closed. When I restarted, I got an error message that it had cut because it encountered an error.

    What gives?

Contact Apple if you are not happy and see what they say (I hope that you have also purchased Applecare) If you are in the period return simply send it back and get another, no point in wasting time when you can return it.

  • NB520 - Wifi stopped working suddenly on its own

    Hello

I bought my NB520 to Singapore.

WIFI worked fine for almost 3 years, until very recently, I have a strange problem.
It stopped working suddenly on its own during almost 2 weeks in June.

Just when I was about to send it to the repair center, he returned.
But WIFI comes on and off for a few weeks before he stabalised.
It works well since then, up to 3 days ago, he set out again like last time.

Usually, when I switch on the netbook, WIFI (red light) lights a few seconds.
To use Bluetooth, I just right click on the Bluetooth icon and press "Turn on Bluetooth function" and Bluetooth turns on.

But now when I do that, it tells me to "connect Bluetooth device".
Is it a hardware problem or software?
I spoke with a local technician, but she is not sure too.
Would appreciate if you can help me with this problem. Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards
    Fionna

    > Is it a hardware problem or software?
This can very easily get the laptop back to factory settings.
But I guess that this is not an option for you at this time. Isn t it?

However, the question that you talk about in your message looks like the isn t correctly chosen and active WLan.
Usually, you can use the secret key FN + F8 to activate and deactivate the module WiFi and BT.
Both keys would switch WLan BT as well as disable and enable the modules.

Have you tested this in the past?

Where the FN + F8 does not work as it should, I recommend you download the driver Wlan from Toshiba published page for this series of laptop and reinstall the driver Wlan.

Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

  • Does anyone else have an iMac that starts typing on its own?

I try to type a password and the computer just starts typing, indefinitely. I'll write an email and the computer hits back again and again and again. Then it starts to beep me - the beep that says: "has already hit this key! I have no control over what he types. My only recourse is to restart, which works most of the time. Until yesterday.

This goes on 5 months patiently trying a bunch of solutions, none worked. Of course, it produced intermittently, making it much more difficult.  However I called and talked to a counselor while he was hoping it would help. Nope.

I went through 5-6 people from Apple for probably 7 + hours on the phone. Finally, they said make a genius bar appt and bring it in. Yes, I did. The whole darn 27 "thing. They gave me a new keyboard to try. Nope. They suggested I have reinstall the latest system. Yes, I did. Nope.

I'm getting pretty well supplied upward.

I will say, in all the conversations I've had, I'm pinned a rude woman. Each representative was pleasant and everyone has, according to me, tried very hard to make it work.

Unfortunately the last woman I spoke with, a Counsellor who gave me his phone number and extension, did not return either my emails, nor my phone messages.

So I'm screwed out of. When he arrives, of course, I can't use my machine $2000 +. Fortunately, I have a laptop or I would scream bloody murder. Maybe I need to start screaming bloody murder. I want that they fix it or give me a new. 5 months is enough.

Someone else has a computer that writes on its own? Of course, I'd advice anyone can offer.

I've had this happen a couple of weeks - except that it was on my end 2012, Mac Mini, on which I had just done a clean install of El Capitan.  The Mac Mini was using the Apple bluetooth - like the iMac keyboard.

I've only had the question on the login screen - it would just start repeatedly typing in the password field.  To solve - and to see if was indeed a problem with the keyboard - I went to a wired keyboard - and the problem stopped.  This little told me it was the keyboard.  To troubleshoot further - I happened to have a spare identical keyboard - so I have the bluetooth of the iMac keyboard odd and not matched the keyboard problem of the Mac Mini.  I paired the keyboard blue tooth with the Mac Mini iMac and paired the bluetooth problem with the iMac keyboard.  I did a reset SMC, PRAM/NVRAM reset and start secure on the iMac and Mac Mini (precaution).  The problem never happened again.  I was not yet the keyboards of return - and it has been a few weeks.  If you do not have a wired keyboard or bluetooth spare parts - you could try the following:

1 turn off your iMac keyboard pairing.

    2. join your iMac keyboard

    3 stop the iMac

4 perform a SMC reset (iMac, you delete all the devices to the iMac - unplug the power cord at the back of the iMac.)  Wait at least 15 seconds.  Reattach the power cord to the iMac.  Wait at least 5 seconds.  Press the button.

    5. when the iMac restarts - stop it again.

6 reset the PRAM (memory NVRAM) - by simultaneously pressing the keys CMD OPTION P and R, after hearing the boot chime.  Keep hold the keys until you hear the chime again.  Then keep hold the keys down until you hear one more chime.  Release the keys - let the iMac start.

7 judgment of the iMac, once again.

    8. perform a startup by holding down the left SHIFT key when you hear the boot chime.  Now keep the left SHIFT key until you see the progress during the start bar.  On the login screen - it should be a message from Red starting at the top right of the screen.  Allow the iMac to sit at the display of connection for 5 minutes.  Connect to iMac - (it will be slower than normal).  Allow the iMac to sit to the desktop for about 5 minutes - do not run all the apps.  After 5 minutes - stop the iMac.

9 start the iMac and Note If the keyboard is no longer slap on its own.

  • How to get the properties of an instance of VI its own SubVI Refnum

    Hi all

Through the "diagram" of a given VI property, you can access the array of references to all the SubVIs that it contains. (Purpose of scripting).
But I can't understand how an instance of a VI (in another diagram VI) might return to his own Subvi refnum.
I mean, I have a same VI N instance in a diagram, and I would like each of them returns as a result, its own reference Subvi.

Sorry for my poor English... so I post a VI that better explains what I mean (I hope!).

I hope it is clear enough...

  • Computer notebook Synaptics trackad pointer moves on its own-Looking for solution

I recently bought a new laptop Hp M6 - N010dx, and the trackpad Envy Touchsmart is already in place.
I installed the latest drivers for my pc, upgrade to 8.1 windows and twisted the sensitivity of the mouse, but I always have problems.

Sometimes the pointer will become difficult to move on the screen and then will move its own. Again, to move its own, as in, I'm not in contact with the laptop at all. It's very frustrating.
I can temporarily fix the problem or reboot my laptop or by writ put to sleep and then wake up again. However, I am looking for a permanent solution.

    Any ideas?

I decided to return the laptop to bestbuy. I found that many users have had this same problem with the same model laptop and no "solution" offered actually work (I even tried myself without result). It's really a shame because I liked this laptop apart from faulty equipment... I am considering getting the x 360, but he mixed comments as well.
This may end up being my last HP laptop that really, really bothers me because they are beautiful and affordable pcs

  • LaserJet 5 PCL Overlay Macro is not 'Overlay', on its own Page impressions

Hello!  I wrote a macro of overlay PCL.  It contains the PCL and HP-GL/2 commands to draw a shape of statement.  I tried to call the shape on a LaserJet 5 times as automatic overlay and a macro called, but whether I invoke it, filling data print on its own page, followed by a page, print out the form.  I need them to print on the same page together.

Here's how I'm trying to run it on the command line WinXPSP3, copy the macro and data to the print server LJ5:

    copy macro.txt + filldata.txt \\ps-70ac4a\p1

I tried to post here macro.txt and filldata.txt, but the HTML form will not let me.

You can obtain them in ftp tatlow.com, A1234567, A1234567 password username.

Anyone see what I'm doing wrong?  Thank you!!

    >> ... But with filling multi-page data, only the first page of data to fill overlay; the following pages have no overlap.

    >> ... (Each page in filldata.txt ends with a page break, hexagonal 0C).

    >> ... If you could please take a glance over, I put the new macro.txt and a new filldata.txt of 2 pages...

I concatenated the two files into a single file and sent the contents of this file (using 'lpr') to the network port on my printer (alone) (LaserJet 1320n).

Two pages are printed, both with the overlay.

Like I can't reproduce your symptoms, I don't think that I can try realistically investigate the cause of your problem.

    {I would remove the CarriageReturn character and line break (0 x0d0a) that occur just before the escape sequence "return to PCL", because it is (strictly) should not in HP-GL/2 mode.]}

The tool used to analyze the print file is the PRN file analysis tool in paraphernalia PCL app, available via http://www.pclparaphernalia.eu

  • Keyboard has its own life!

I have a brand new T410i.     Running Windows 7.    I got it for a few days.   A couple of times already they keyboard has just gone 'crazy' on me.    I'll be typing away and then the cursor moves to the right, text will erase as I type it.  It happened when I was browsing the web and it will click links on its own... or if I do a Google search, search to return results once it will just open one of the links... The pointer will be difficult to control.    The only thing that fixes it is when I stop and restart Windows.    No rhyme or reason as to what triggers it.   My laptop was on during a few hours today and then he began to act up.    Any ideas?   I checked the drivers and according to Windows, it uses more updated drivers.

  • Windows Media Center starts on its own...

I am running Vista 64 bit. and from these time, for some reason my media center to windows just starts up on its own with attention now. I checked the settings in the media center and its not programmed to automatically start from what I've seen. It starts when I open other programs, and when I close them. not all the time and not in any decernable model. What should I do?

    Hello James_CC,

You can try and allows for stop in the MSConfig Startup tab:

First, go to control panel, then AutoPlay. Then check the selections of videos, films, etc. and select not "Act".
Try again and see if Windows Media Center always plays at startup.

Then, you can stop Windows Media Center to start services.
Type msconfig (System Configuration) and go to the Startup tab uncheck the Scriptures which has the ehome as path to the command, such as ehTray.exe. This will prevent MCE related services to start upward.

I would also check the default associations:
Open the control panel (all items view) and click the default programs.

Click on the game to link your default programs.
In the left column, select the program (highlighted) a list that you want to change the associations is default for file.
To set all Assciations by default in the Program-
NOTE: This will allow to associate the selected program by default used by Windows 7 to open all types of files and protocols it can open.
Click set this program as default.
    Click Save to apply.
    Click OK.

Please answer and give us an update to see whether or not these measures have helped.

  • I have a problem with scrolling of mouse working on its own.

Original title: in Windows 7, how can I stop popups, scrolling & other activities when I do click on the mouse.

I recently moved from XP if it is not a problem.

    (1) while I read a website or a Word doc & move the cursor out of the way, it opens up the popups for no matter what cursor passes over, distract from what I'm trying to do.

    (2) in Word, when I try to highlight something to change or clear, somehow the cursor goes into scrolling on its own & does not allow me to highlight what I want.

Basically, I would turn the mouse in what it was on XP because the "intuitive" nonsense is not help. If I want to see the popup, I can always right click. I have need it automatically sends me garbage.

Y at - it a setting that I have not been able to find? I was well as the mouse settings and tried various combinations, but this feels like a more basic configuration question. If so, how should I do?

    Thank you

    Earl

Thanks for your help with this.

For some reason, the mouse was activating stuff (pop ups, etc.) when I checked precisely not to do.

I tried what you suggested. What seems to have worked replaces the mouse. I had an arrangement to use a single set of keyboard/monitor/mouse with 3 computers, requiring the use of a mouse with the old pins instead of USB. I'm trying to do with 2 units of mouse and it seems fine. Don't know why, but I'm satisfied.

    Thanks again,

    Earl

  • Windows 7 upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit, 64 does not start on its own

I am trying to upgade win 7 32-bit to 64-bit. I bought a new copy of Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.  It does not start on its own, is there some

type of bootloader on the net. who's going to help or what!

To learn how to change your BIOS options to boot from the DVD drive, the following tutorial:

    http://notebooks.com/2011/05/05/How-to-load-BIOS-and-change-boot-configuration/

    -----------------------------------------------
You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.
