Whenever I start my computer, I get a series of pop-up boxes that talk about "Please wait while windows configures the State" and then the one that says "the component that you are trying to use is on a CD Rom, please insert". I have no idea what it is, and I have no disc to put on this line? If I hit the buttons cancel these boxes enough times to go, but it's annoying and there is notihing badly with the operation of the computer, after I get rid of the boxes. No idea how to stop this from happening again? Thank you

This happens if you or someone else have installed a piece of software that needs some additional information that resides on a drive, in any case you can work around this problem by disabling this software from the start.

Here's what you need to do, restart your computer as usual and wait for the message to come to the top, now try to recognize the name of this software and write it down. (its ok if you can't get a name).

Now remove it from Start Up items by following these steps:

1. press the windows start button and choose run or (press the 'WindowsLogo + R' on your keyboard)
2 type "msconfig" without the quotes of course, in the text box and click on enter or click ok.
3. If you run vista System Configuration utility may ask you for permission, click on continue.
4. once the System Configuration utility has started, click on the Startup tab.
5 disable any software that you do not want to be on the start up.
6. click ok and restart your computer, that guest will be history now :))

Today when I tried to print using my printer HP Photosmart 6525, it wouldn't print. The status shows offline and I can't do it online. I use it in a wireless configuration and have not had a problem before until it started today. How can I get my HP Photosmart 6525 online?

Windows7 Update icon does not show in the status bar when updates are available

Update for Windows7 (64-bit) detects new updates and works perfectly in manual mode using the function update BUT do not perform the automatic updates or displays the Update icon in the notification bar when updates are available.

It also does not indicate that the present updates to logoff or shut down.

Update icon is the value to display in the status bar and appears when the updates are being installed. The update log shows something as updates are detected, but are waiting for an administrator to perform notifications. Record as an administrator doesn't help.

History of the computer: a recent update of Windows 10 has crashed and has been reinstalled Windows 7 pro. After this, update does nothing, but diagnoses online got going again.
