ThinkPad R60 could not start beyond "checking the status of the integrated security chip.

I am unable to load the OS-Windows XP because of the layout I did successfully:

The system worked more slowly, I went to the troubleshooting of windows... and follow the procedure below:

"' Help-> Pick a task-> use tools to view your computer information and diagnose problems-> SYSTEM-> Changed CONFIGURATION UTILITY to" START DIAGNOSTICS "and restarted the computer...

But unfortunately,.

My system is unable to exceed... "" Checking the status of embedded security chip ' and windows does not load.

If anyone has the solution pl... answer a few important information lies in...

Thanks in advance.

I think that the error message says do not keep your finger on the key during the startup of the whole. Just press it several times in the time the windows logo should normally appear.

  • Windows could not start after activating the boot.

    Hi all

I have a very serious problem.

A few lost technology from Microsoft asked that I have to do the following:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135.

Immediately after the restart, I was confronted with the following message:

    Windows could not start.

    Status: 0xc000000e

Info: A required device is not connected or is not accessible.

Startup Repair does not work. -Root cause found: the partition table has not a Sys component validates.

Bcdedit does not work - the requested system device cannot be found.

GParted does not work - cannot load the ntfs module: invalid argument.

How can it be fixed, please?

It is an extremely urgent situation which must be resolved immediately, because I use this computer for work and need to return to work on a large commercial project Monday. Forget the original question that MS tech was trying to 'help' with, everything what I need now is to be able to get into Windows, or even just make this record available and accessible on the LAN computer.

Out of the blue, it will not start.  Access the start scrolling (the one just before logon) screen and it just stops.

Twice I ran Vista check utility.  The first time, I chose to do the system restore to previous state.  Restarted.  Always off.  The second time, it took much longer and from what I can see.  All TESTS PASS, except one:

Repair action: repair and checking of the filesystem Integrety

    Result: failed. Error code = 0 x 2

I get no blue screen, I can't even any screen!

I'm triying to repar because I have several costly software titles that link the authorization key code to a key hardware and software installation.  I don't know that I could reinstall if I get a code (randomly?) different generated software.

I don't know about i-tunes and other content downloaded my wife has such as MP3 files and audio books.

    Thanks for any help!

The test fails (SFC) checks for corruption in the files on your system.  If she can't even complete, she suggests the Vista all system needs to be re-installed - but you have already done this and you still have the problem.

In fact, look like a hardware problem.  Here are some troubleshooting guidelines hardware that can help (but probably not for this question as what you really need, it is a replacement for test):http://elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Hardware_Tshoot.  Frankly, I think it's time to take the system to a repair facility of good reputation for the service computer (or to return to the manufacturer for repair - costs, schedule, guarantees and make a decision).  I don't know what hardware component.

If you can, try to back up your data before you import it it because they will probably wipe the drive clean during the process. You can use Knoppix http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html with a good ISO as Copier: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm as well as a blank CD (perhaps done on another computer).  This should give you enough access to the system (if you do not have any other means) to backup your important data.  Otherwise, try slaving the drive to another system and access the data in this way.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

The recovery procedure was very well finished 100%. But after pressing a button, the above kept warning appears, no matter how many times I had reinstalled by the recovery disc or (each time 100%) or by using the full version of Windows Xp.

I excluded the problem with HD, so I guess maybe it's that the BIOS has been hacked (?) I downloaded the update of the BIOS to see if it works or not?
but the result was disappointing. IT just stop at step 4 of the procedure of updating, it freezes just to flash initiating step.

I want to remove the CMOS battery for a few seconds, but I'm not that pro and I could cause damage caused by improper handling.

Could someone tell me what happens to my computer and how do I show this problem?

    Hello Wai

If your device has trouble after that recovery image installation is probably hardware related issue. You can enter the settings of the BIOS as usual? If this isn't the case, I fear that the BIOS chip is damaged. It happen if BIOS update is interrupted shortly matter the reason may be.

Removing the CMOS battery doesn t work like on desktps. Forget it!

    Hello

The following assumes that you are running Windows 7.

If you do not, use another PC to create a rescue CD Windows 7.  Download the ISO relevant among the links below - if you are unsure of the version, your laptop is listed as coming from a 64-bit installation.

    Windows 7 32 bit

    Windows 7 64 bit

You must use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO to a CD-( Note: you can deselect additional software during installation of ImgBurn options)- hereis a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc.

One time created, or if you already have this, typing away at the esc key when you launch Notepad to open the Start Menu.  Insert the rescue CD.  Select boot options (usually f9), use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER.  You can also get a prompt to "Press any key to" continuous - it if requested.

When loading, select repair your computer and choose the command line.  When this charge, enter the following commands and press on enter after everyone – including spaces as shown.

    Bootrec.exe

    bcdedit/export C:\BCD_Backup

    c:

    Boot CD

    BCD attrib s h - r

    Ren c:\boot\bcd BCD.old

    Bootrec /RebuildBcd

    Bootrec /fixmbr

    Bootrec /fixboot

Remove the rescue CD and try to restart the laptop.

  • Task Scheduler could not start. Additional data: error value: 2147943726. What does that mean?

A scheduled task could not start leaving this message: Task Scheduler could not start '\Fence check Rota' task for the user "Alan Laptop\Alan". Additional data: error value: 2147943726.

The task ran on the previous 2 nights without problem Action is: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Excel.exe" / r "C:\Users\Alan\Documents\HSC\Fence Check\Fence check Auto Run.xlsm" and there is nothing wrong with it all the files are where they are supposed to be.

After "the event log online Help" takes me to a page that tells me to convert the code above in a decimal value and search for it on another page. This has error codes in the 0 to 15999 slices. The value I have to 214793726 is obviuosly not an Octal value because it contains the 9 digit and if a decimal value is greater than 15999 and if hexagonal then considerably higher.

Can someone tell me what is a failure?

My answer comes late, but I hope useful for those seeking a response.

As some have said above, changing the password has a role at the origin of this error. \

quickist fix (instead of changing long ms.config of microsoft) is:

in Task Scheduler, click the scheduled task properties > then settings

    in the last option listed:

"If the task is already running, the following rule shall:

Select "stop the existing instance" in the drop-down list.

    Save and exist.

    This should fix it.

  • Once I turned on the computer I got the following message: Windows could not start because the following file is missing or damaged. System32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys

I just download Microsoft Office 2010 Professional and then turns off the computer with XP operating system. Once I turned on the computer I got the following message:

    Windows could not start because the following file is missing or damaged;

    System32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys

You can try to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD

Select 'r' in the first screen to start repair.

Then, I started the computer with the Original installation CD and press 'r' by following the instructions. Then, I received this message:

    1: C:\WINDOWS

Which Windows installation you want to connect?

    (to cancel, press enter)

    What do I put here?

You must first start on doing something so USB drive a bootable Hiren.

    Here's how:

I'll recommend you use Hiren boot CD (it will go also to a flash/USB stick/USB).

It's good for you, because there a lot of tools more on that on the Recovery Console CD of XP, doesn't your administrator passwords and you will not have to futz round in your BIOS, if any afflicted system has SATA drives - Hiren can deal with this.

You will have a bunch of great tools that you have in XP... Recovery Console an editor of the register, adjustable password and an office that resembles Windows XP so you will feel comfortable flexibility.

You can easily copy your personal data (documents, pictures, music) to an external drive.

A system of work, start by downloading the latest version on Hiren Boot CD from here (it is a substantial download but worth it):
http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/    (look to the bottom of the page).

Unzip the Hiren to a folder where you can find it.  There's a Hiren. BootCD.15.x.iso that you have to then.

Hiren was instructed to make a bootable USB drive that you can use, but it takes you first burn the .iso to a CD image file and a few other measures, so I suggest another way and here's how:

Download RUFUS 1.3.2 or whatever the latest version is here (read a few things on the page so you can learn more on this subject):

    http://Rufus.AKEO.IE/

I will warn to be careful that don't accidentally format you a hard disk - don't forget your USB key is in and know what the drive letter!  This part makes me still a little nervous, so be careful.

Launch of RUFUS and all default values should be fine for the device, choose letter of your USB drive, quick tag format FAT32, it if you want and in the Format options box, click on the little icon that looks like a CD and a window will open.  Navigate through this dialogue to point to the folder that contains the Hiren. BootCD.15.x.iso that you have unpacked above and the box should change to say the image ISO (RUFUS includes the Hiren ISO file).

Double check you have the right device selected in the top (NOT you HDD) click Start, acknowledge receipt of the warning and let it finish (it will take a little time) it copies the files.   Hiren ISO is also a good size.

When RUFUS is finished, it will say "DONE" at the bottom.

Put the USB in the afflicted machine and reset/reboot and regardless of the button you press to get a boot menu where you can select the USB drive as first boot device (it's F11 for me).  If you do not see a start menu choice, you will need to set your BIOS to boot from USB first instead of the HARD disk.

When the Hiren menu displays, choose the XP Mode of Mini and it will start loading (slowly from a USB key) and finally, you should see a windowsy looking for office.  You should recognize the part and feel uncomfortable, but it is not your office - the office of the Hiren!

Remember: you do not start on your hard drive, - you started in the Office of the Hiren.

A way to check the drive for errors is to open my computer and right-click on your afflicted player and choose Properties, tools, error, check checking now... put a check mark in the boxes and then start.

Sometimes that works, then you can also click on start, run and in the type box:

    cmd

Click OK to open a command prompt window and enter the following command (assuming that XP is installed on your C drive)

    CHKDSK c: /r

This disk check can last a long time (perhaps several to several hours) depending on the size of the volume, the amount of data on the volume and what the disk check finds to do.  You may need to run more than once.

    Hello

    1. what application or antivirus security suite is installed and your current subscription?

2 Norton (another) or a McAfee application ever installed on this machine?

    3. What are the fix applications that you used so far to try to fix this problem?

Try the next method and check if that helps you with the question of the 127 error you receive.

Method 1: Rdding the DLL file by doing the following:

    1. Click Start and click Run, in the search box type CMD and press to enter.
    2. right click on CMD in the list and click "Run as Administrator".
    3. type the following command and press ENTER. Regsvr32 msvcp71.dll
    4. close the command prompt window.

Method 2: run the file system (CFS) Checker:

(Note: you need an XP installation disk to start the System File Checker search.)

The SFC command is used to detect and resolve problems with the files on Windows XP and Windows Vista computers. This command allows you to launch the Windows File Protection Service and allows you to analyze all integrity-protected Windows files and replace all problematic files identified.

    1. click on start, and in the box to start, search type CMD
    2. right click on CMD in the list and click "Run as Administrator"
    3. type the following command and press ENTER. Sfc/scannow
    4. close the command prompt window.

For more information on scan SFC (System File Checker), please look in the link mentioned below.

    I hope this helps.

  • Starting problems. - RunDLL32.exe, procedure entry point_except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link librarymsvcrt.dll

I get the message RunDLL32.exe, procedure entry point_except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link librarymsvcrt.dll. What should I do?

I had starting problems, boot loop, I think it seems to have been resolved by using the last known good configuration, but I get this popup dialog box. I've not closed for fear that it will start XP looping again.

    Hi EddieBryan,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. do you have security software installed on the computer?

    3. when exactly you receive the error message?

    Method 1
Check if the problem persists in safe mode and after return with the result.
A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    Method 2
If the problem does not persist in safe mode, then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.
I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See section to learn more about how to clean boot.
How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Reset the computer to start as usual
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
    1. click on Start , then click run.
    2. type msconfig , then click OK.
The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.
    3. click on the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.
    4. When prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

    Method 3

If the previous step fails then I suggest that scan you SFC on the computer that will search the corrupted system files and try to correct them.

The analysis may take some time, so be patient. Windows allows to fix corrupt or missing files it finds. If the information of the installation CD is required to fix the problem, you may be asked to insert your Windows XP installation CD.
