Confused about access to the community of MOS

Hello

As far as I can make out, the MOS community should be accessible by anyone with an active account of MOS.  that is if they can open a session support.oracle.com, the same user account must be able to access the community of MOS.

Can someone verify if it is correct, or have I got it all wrong?  I can not find any documentation on this subject and can not access the Community (an "Unauthorized" error when I try to get), but am able to access MOS very well, so I would like to know if I need to make a ticket or if it's just that I have the wrong end of the stick.

Thank you

Phil

I suggest create a non-technical SR.  Which must ensure that someone will look at the problem, with forums, it can be very hard to get the attention of the people you need when you cannot yet access the appropriate community.

  • Confused about replacement of the object style that I can't understand

    Hello

So I'll try to understand and to clean up a book a bit messy, I inherited (lots of inconsistent style and replacements). There are a bunch of boxes that have a style of object applied to them, but seem to have odd substitutions, which I can't understand how even got implemented Medallion.

In particular, they have a substitution of "text frame General Options (spacing inset at left; Inset spacing on the right. I can't understand how you can even replace the object for this style.

Even more strange, the paragraph style has a right of withdrawal. 0625 "and the withdrawal to the left of 0, but on the screen, I see the left indent is also. 0625 ". Even if it is not specified anywhere.

Inside the style, is the inset spacing. 0.25 "right and left 25" and it's actually how the text is aligned. But it is clear lines on screens as if there is a left and right inset of 0,1875 "and a withdrawal of paragraph 0,0625 on both sides, when styles don't say this.

Why do I care about all this? Well, I need to convert this CS6, and when I did, I found an extra. 0625 "Indent on the right side causing overset text. This led me down this rabbit hole.

I know I have to get rid of all completely replacements and I intend to do at some point, but I can't do it right now for reasons of time, and I'm also actually really curious what is happening here. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

You have shown a paragraph style, but not necessarily one that is actually used. I have no way of knowing what calls for the definition of object style (but I see a substitution for the paragraph style), or what style is assigned to the text in this framework.

Messed up, it is probably a good description of the current state, but to understand what is wrong, you will have to dig into what is really defined as opposed to what the appeal of styles to, then delete the replacements or redefine styles to give you what you want and probably some of both.

You can use find/replace to find a style and replace it with itself to remove the replacements, I recall.

  • Confused about content through the ID CS5 spreads

    Hello:

I draw a picture of the journal paper of 40 pages (10 x 4 pages) and I am confused on how to manage the content of the page sharing through spreads and numbering. (InDesign CS5)

The editor wants to design the presentation in the "pull-out" spreads - every company has one or more pages 4 doubles, which seems simple enough, but when the content must flow through pasta spread, or even between the "front" of a spread and the "back side" spread - I am confused on how to know what page number to run the drive to--I mean How do I layout InDesign 4 pages so I can visualize how everything flows? I can see pages easily enough... it would be nice to be able to flow the content between page 1/2/3/4 of a spread, but also know what final page number readers that we have (for the table of contents)...

I think I'm overthinking this... I mean it's almost like I have to design a hybrid readers/printers are kind of thing and that makes my life and printers more difficult lol

    Thanks for all the ideas!

    Ed

    I have a log of 40 pages with sliding page 10 x 4

You mean a newspaper that is not related? Then treat you like any other bound document as facing pages, where page 1 is the cover and page 40 is back. If content passes through the gutter on the inside, it will be through the facing pages, IE 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, etc.

If you provide the printer with face to simple pages and they impose your doc and put the page 2 and 3 where they belong on the press sheet (s):

  • Confused about PPP and the size of the final image

I'm new to Lightroom that are a lot and I try to understand how Lightroom uses pixels and determines the size of an image with a magnifying glass.  My RAW images are 3872 x 2592, 10.2 million pixels.  For a magnifying glass, I suppose Lightroom chooses a PPD that corresponds to my monitor for options FIT or FILL.  But how it determines the size of the image to display when you use a report of zoom, say 1:1.  I feel that 1:1 is the size of the actual image.  But what is this size?  When I use 1:1, the preview in the Navigator Panel displays a zoom that is only about 1/9th of the image in the center of the image.  Is it just defaults to 72 DPI for the ratio 1:1 zoom displayed or is - it something else? Another related question is what Lightroom when I export an image of say 300 PPI and resize the image to a size that would be greater than the number available pixels at 300 PPI?  Just asked for my RAW images, 300 DPI can support only 8.6 x 12.99 inches.  What's Lightroom if I select 20 x 30 inches and 300 PPI?

    Thanks, Mike

DPI is Dot Per Inch. A printer can take a 300 PPI image, and for each pixel, it could drop 4 points, meaning that the 300 PPI image when printing is 1200 dpi, but really I never worry about DPI. And you shouldn't worry about DPI either.

  • confused about "identified on the outside.

    (Oracle 9.2)

    Hi guys,.

I'm a bit confused. I read that if a user is identified to the outside, it means that their password is not stored in oracle.

    (1) now is my user's OS on my oracle and oracle database server belongs to the dba group.
    os_authent_prefix =""

I can connect to my Unix like oracle and connect as sysdba. All very well. I expect that. If my os_authent_prefix had been "ops$", then I would not be able, as my unix user will be ops$ oracle. Fix?

    (2) now, I want to be able to login as sysdba from a remote machine. So, I set remote_login_passwordfile = EXCLUSIVE lock, and I use orapwd to create my file. I then grant sysdba to myUser and it adds the user to the file. Fix?

Now, I see not where him "externally identified" fits in, and I googled and am still confused. I mean, it's the oracle user in (1) and myUser in (2) are identified externally, such as password to or is stored in the database. So what is creates user identified external medium?

    Thank you.

    Thanks guys,.

    I'm still confused! I'm sorry.

When I connect to my database server, I use the oracle of the UNIX user, who belongs to the UNIX dba group. I can then make 'virtue sysdba. So, you guys say, > that when I do that, I been connect as SYS? And as the database is concerned, there is no user called "oracle".

When you go to the Inbox of unix with the oracle of the unix user who is part of the dba group, oracle does not check the file password for the Sys user. Bother me, this applies only to the user Sys. In the database, no user is at the moment, for this scnerio with the name like Oracle. You you connect as user Sys without control of password from the password file.

But if I had a UNIX user, say myUnixUser, and I wanted to connect normally with this user (and not as sysdba), then I could make

    create myUnixUser user identified externally;

and then the OS authentication would be used for myUnixUser?

Yes, in this case, you don't have a real user in the database called Oracle who has not any password at all. What is the key point. Here, you are only based on or person dependent on the o/s to ensure the success of your oracle user name.
That's what I mentioned, in both cases, you depend on o/s only. But in the first case, you have a password, but in the identified externally, it not there no password.
Re-read my last answer and to read it. It should clear the fog.

  • Disable access to the storage capability of creative cloud for teams?

Is it possible to disable access to Creative Cloud Files when you use the Creative Cloud software for teams/Volume Licensing customers? We are considering moving to Cloud Creative subscriptsions instead of traditional licensing and the ability to disable this feature would be the best way to comply with the security requirements of our company.

    Thank you.

BrickyB, that's what says creative cloud FAQ,

My organization wants to block access to certain services, such as storage and access to the community features available through creative cloud. Is this possible?

Yes, your administrators can block users access to online services.  Online services and their URLs are listed here.

As an administrator, you will also be able to deploy independent creative cloud desktop applications of cloud services using the Packager creative cloud. Creative cloud packer is available through creative cloud for teams.

Hello error 53 matched a UN failure to the home button you had to replace the screen or the home button alone or outside apple store so if you replace the button man of origin and you restored the iPhone error will be fixed but if you sell the buyer has no access to the data of the iPhone

  • Confusion about the size of the array in Oracle 11 g

There is confusion about the size of a table. When exporting schema 'CRESTELWOMPRD601', the log file shows:

    _____________________________________________________________________________________

    . . exported "CRESTELWOMPRD601." "' TBLRSUBSCRIBERFIELDWORK ' lines of 12.62 GB 35568

    ____________________________________________________________________________________

which may involve the size of the TBLRSUBSCRIBERFIELDWORK table is 12.62 GB.

But when I find the size of the table using the query:

    SELECT nom_segment, BYTES / 1024 / 1024 "SIZE (MB)" FROM dba_segments where owner = 'CRESTELWOMPRD601' and nom_segment = 'TBLRSUBSCRIBERFIELDWORK. '

He said that the size is only 9 MB for the TBLRSUBSCRIBERFIELDWORK table.

I hope that my request is clear that there is no clarity on the size of the TBLRSUBSCRIBERFIELDWORK table.

Please get back with the answer to my query

    Concerning

Dba_segments indicates the space allocated to the segment while expdp indicates the size of the exported data, so if you had a table with a measure of 1 MB, but no data, dba_segments would 1 MB and expdp would report 0 bytes.

  • Confusion about the requirements for the 2015 CC software

I currently have Windows 8.0 (64 bit) which is so satisfactory and stable.  I have not upgraded to 8.1 Windows because I can't install same normal updates for Windows 8.0 without experiencing freezes system that only restore points can heal.  So for now, I would stick with what I have.  But the problem is the confusing requirements for various programs within the pile of creative cloud applications:

Premiere Pro: Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (64-bit) or Windows 8 (64-bit)
Photoshop: Microsoft Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 or Windows 8.1

Illustrator: Microsoft Windows 7 with Service Pack 1, Windows 8 or 8.1 Windows

Dreamweaver: Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 8 or 8.1 Windows

    Hearing: Microsoft® Windows® 7 with Service Pack 1 (64-bit), Windows 8 (64-bit) or Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

So what I'm confused about is the fact that Windows 8.0 is not listed for Photoshop, but Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 are.  Does this mean Photoshop CC 2015 is not compatible with Windows 8?  And that means that Premiere Pro is not compatible with Windows 8.1 since only 7.0 (SP1) and 8.0 are listed, I would have preferred the upgrade of software CC WITHOUT update Windows since I am picky on my installation of Windows 8 stable pipes now solid as a rock.  Fortunately, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and hearing are compatible with all three, it seems.

Can someone clear up the confusion, please?

I think that my hardware is OK for this.

Motherboard: Asus Crosshair Formula V-Z (AMD 990FX)

CPU: AMD FX-6300 Vichera 3.5 GHz

    Memory: 16GB Kingston HyperX DDR3 2133 MHz

  • Just bought a Nikon d750 and confused about adobe LR4 and PS6 support for RAW files. I have 8.7 DNG, but I was wondering if LR and PS will import direct soon thanks for all the tips

Just bought a Nikon d750 and confused about adobe LR4 and PS6 support for RAW files. I have 8.7 DNG, but I was wondering if LR and PS will import direct soon thanks for all the tips

Support for the Nikon D750 was introduced in the last version of LR 5.7 and ACR 8.7 Novemder 18 2014.

New updates for LR 4 were arrested when LR 5 was released on June 9, 2013. No other updates of bug fixes and new camera support.

Nada, LR 4 will never support Nikon D750. The Nikon D750 was introduced on the market in September 2014 some 15 months after further development of LR 4 was arrested.

You can use the Adobe DNG (free download for packing) program to convert your Nikon D750 Nef (raw) files in Adobe's DNG format which will allow you to import those into LR 4. This is the crutch provided by Adobe to allow the processing of raw files with versions out-of-date LR and ACR.

You can also update the ACR for PS CS6 version 8.7 plugin that can also work with the raw files of the D750. For direct support in Lightroom, you will need to upgrade (paying) to version 5.7.

  • Confused about the new creative cloud

    Hi all

Since I read adout the new creative cloud I'm confused about what will happen to my license for Adobe Lightroom. Will they remain still desktop apps as well or I have to pay for an annual license, if I want to use new versions of Lightroom?

I am a casual photographer and I like to use Lighroom for my photos, but I don't think that pay for an annual license because I'm not spending a lot of time, image-editing.

Can someone clarify this for me?

    Thank you very much

    Lucian

5 Lightroom does not have subscription only, you're fine. There is no sign that it will even happen in the foreseeable future either.  It's just the ex-Creative-Suite that all talk.

Target market of Lightroom is different from the Creative Suite/Cloud. CC is a good deal for the majority of its base of users (next door), while the majority signed without major complaints.  Lightroom has a huge customer base amateur, and they would be much more difficult to convince us to go subscription only. They would be likely to lose most of customers of Lightroom at the moment, and they are not completely stupid.

  • I'm a little confused about the presentation of the day, the Site of Adobe.

You can only if compiled with the Muse?  Where can you submit a side already built with the code?

The sites in the Site Gallery Of The Day www.adobekb.com are sites of Muse. Several contain HTML embed code for maps, Twitter RSS, video, analytics, forms, etc., which can be simply copied/pasted in the mode Design of Muse. Some contain animations created and place/imported edge animate or Flash Pro.

We do of our best to screen the site of winners day to exclude sites that have been achieved by editing the HTML generated by Muse after export, given that this workflow requires hand coding that isn't what Muse. Code embed of sites including copied/pasted or small code snippets inserted in theSection of the Page within Muse properties are very well.

    A few caveats

    (1) we recently removed a site which has relied on the hand of edition after export of Muse, who either did not contain this code when the price has been granted, or we lack.

    (2) authors of sites are likely to change their designs after the granting of this award, so the site linked to may not be the exact site/code which received the honours of the Site Of The Day.

If you see a site in the gallery and are intrigued by the way it was created with Muse, ask about it here. I am sure that the community would be happy to answer and discussion would be education for all.
