  • Attempt to connect wi fi on my Dell computer, running windows XP? Have DSL but not Ethernet. Faced with problems. Checked with CISCO router but not help there. CANY anyone help

I have a problem connecting to a Cisco E100 router to my computer. My count (office) does not have a wireless. I have DSL from. Cisco tells me to plug a router using Ethernet cable to connect. I don't have an Ethernet connection on my computer. At present I have USB connect the computer to the Westell modem.  Can anyone help? I hope this is enough information. Basically what I'm hoping to do is to install the WiFi so I can use a tablet now and maybe a laptop this last on.

    Thank you

On the routers only house you can use USB connections are those provided by some ISPs.  An Ethernet connection between the router and the computer is far more preferred.

Your router a Cisco E1000 or is it really E100 (I thought that Cisco makes a model with this designation not)?

It is quite surprising that you don't have an Ethernet connection that is built into your computer.  What is the complete model number (or, preferably, the Number of Service Dell)?

Open the Device Manager (start > run > devmgmt.msc > OK).  Expand the "Network card" category by clicking on the + next to him.  What devices are listed in this category.

If you don't really have an Ethernet or an adapter wireless built into your computer, you can add one, using a PCI internal (if you have a desktop/Tower computer) or external (PC card for laptops) or USB to laptops or desktop/towers.

Also, the normal configuration is to connect your DSL modem to the router and then the router to the computer.  If your Westell modem has an Ethernet connection, you must use your new router in a non-standard configuration.  Even if the Westell modem has an Ethernet port, you may need to do some reconfiguration for her as well.  What is the complete model of the Westell modem number?

  • UN able to connect AC511 SoundBar hollow the Dell U2414H Monitor USB hub

When I connect my speaker directly to the computer, everything works fine, but when I try to connect my AC511 to the USB connector on the screen, windows does not recognize it.  I have a monitor to the computer USB connector and I tried a few cables different and different USB ports, but no luck.  I tried looking for a driver, but found no one on the Dell Web site.  Here is a screenshot of the Device Manager.  Help, please.

I tried all of this and still couldn't work.  After I did it I got a message saying that the power of USB has been exceeded. Did some research and it turns out that this is a problem with the Citrix Receiver.  Uninstalled and everything works well.  I hope that Citrix fixed that bug soon because I want to use it on this computer.  Here is a link to the article on this issue:

  • Connectivity between two piles of Dell 2048

Hi guys, I'm very new to the configuration of the switches. We have a small office and just implement a new data room. We have 4 switches of POE Dell 2048 x stacked for VOIP and PCs phones and 2 x Dell 2048 switches stacked to our servers. I have 4 x 10 gb twinax cables to connect the two heaps as in the pic below:

What is the best way to implement these four connections? I tried to do a SHIFT of four ports in each stack, and it seemed to fall some ping until I disabled STP for the LAG group. I'm a little worried about turning off STP however. These are the only switches that are on the network. Any ideas on what the best config for this would be appreciated. Sorry, as I said I am quite new to this.

    Thanks, Dave

    Hi guys,.

Just to wrap this I configured LACP on the mentioned LAG today and now, she purrs like a kitten.

    See you soon,.

  • Connection continues deleting Windows 10 Dell XPS 8300

    Hi all

I have problems with my Dell XPS 8300, I installed the new 10 windows a few weeks back and since the installation of connection to internet keeps falling.

My internet is with Virgin Media and I connect directly via an Ethernet cable to the router.

Said my Broadcom Netlink gigabit Ethernet network card

After doing some research I think my card is called BCM57788

    Thank you

I'm glad to hear that I am not on my lonesome.

I did as you did and downloaded the Intel scanner from their site. The only thing he told me was that I need a later version. INF file.

I also watched the page drivers Dell, which is not up-to-date. Intel reported the update is not listed, but there is a BIOS update, when I try to apply it, saying that it is older than the current version. Not very useful.

I'd install the Intel update but I'm not sure if it will work. There are a lot of guard, but not much reassure layouts.

On top of that, Dell does not do anything to see if my machine is able to win 10.

As usual, Dell are completely behind the curve on this.

  • Cannot connect large hard drives to Dell coming 8 Pro

I bought a Dell coming 8 Pro yesterday and have several questions.   I'll post the others separately.

I tried to connect several large (500 GB, 1 TB) hard drives in the device, but it does not recognize them.   I tried this with at least 3 of them so far.  It does not seem to recognize young readers usb very well.    Does anyone else have this problem?  Workaround solutions?   Seems to limit the usefulness of a device with a small disc hard (I got the 64 GB version).

    Hey, Buzz,

Your biggest hard disks have ports to connect an external power supply? The venue Pro 8 is a small portable device with OTG, or supported USB ' On the Go ' as some phones. When used with an OTG cable, it can act as a USB host for simple devices of power like maps flash, mouse and keyboards, but not devices with rotating mass like hard drives large (or perhaps old) and fancy as USB vacuum keyboard and fan items. If your hard drives just to make a clicking sound when it is attached, it is likely that they do not receive enough power to spin to the top. This is normal for OTG devices. And if you don't have a power supply for the readers, you could try a self-powered USB hub that can provide more power to readers and still allows the V8P communicate as host.

  • Dell Inspiron 580 connecting to a new Reference Dell U2415 monitor

Dell Inspiron 580 connection for a new Dell U2415 monitor supplied HDMI cable does not fit my computer HDMI port... the new end of cable is too large for the HDMI port?  How can I work around this? The monitor has a VGA connection.

    Thanks for the help.

    Robert

Here is the U2415 User Guide. Page 6 shows that we delivered a mini-cable DP to DP (DP = DisplayPort), not an HDMI cable. Pages 10 and 11 show us that the U2415 has the following video ports =.
    HDMI in
    HDMI in
    DP in
    CDM in
    Out DP

The Inspiron 580 mid back has two video ports =.
    HDMI output
    VGA output

You must buy an HDMI cable to HDMI locally.

  • How to connect an external Microphone for Dell inspiron 14z 5423

Hello I have a dell inspiron 14z 5423 and I try to use the external microphone that I need, but I don't know if the socket on my laptop is good.

    Hello Nicolas,.

    Thanks for the quick response.

It is possible that the computer won't recognize microphone correctly because of corrupted audio drivers.

I suggest to update audio drivers from this link and then try to connect a microphone.

  • Loser connecting on Wrvs4400n WAN

WAN internet connection on my Wrvs4400n router about two times a day. I can't understand what is the cause. I reboot the router and I get internet. I called Cisco support and the technology was useful once bcause I'm no longer in warranty. He had me change the DNS addresses that I have of my ISP 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 public DNS. Allowed internet again, when he had left, but after a while the connection cuts once again. It seems that it leaves around 13:00 every day. But after the loss of 13:00 and restarting today the connection of smoking again around 14:30.

I turned on the newspapers and I'm getting a lot of the following msg -"eth0: packet received with own address as source address" and "remove<00:13:CC:88:FF:AA> from the ARL table" - and "packetresponse was small." Ignoring the response of the (dns address) and - unexpected server: (DNS address) . -

    Any help will be appreciated.

    I have disable IPS.

    Tom Wallin

He stops to prevent any interference with that active.  If there's a way might capture you packets and see what kind of activity is to be captured so that we could get a better idea of what is happening.  But Yes if this is allowed if it detects any anomalies to close the wan.

  • Q10 blackBerry I can not connect my Q10 to my Dell Precision

I tried several times to connect my Q10 to my laptop the link to Blackberry, but nothing done. It's because I need to back up all data before going to replace the current one. It is the third time I have to replace my Q10 since I first bought it in November; some of the keyboards become soft like a touchscreen where you do not have to press the button until he writes.

Emergency aid will be so welcomed

Link has been picky with me in the past. I'll try to connect without success so I will try again once again without success. A test more with nothing done differently and it connects. I don't know what to tell you other than keep trying. I don't know why he acts up like this, but persistence pays for you.

    See you soon.
