Connect to the Simulator 0.9.2?

Hello, I'm under the blackberry tablet Simulator v0.9.2. How can I connect to it to view its contents of file? FTP/SSH/SCP? I tried to connect to the FTP and SCP using root under the user name and password as password developer.

I have a connection has expired, a refused connection, or a "pending Welcome Message" which leads to a connection timed out.

The main reason that I want to connect to the Tablet is to view the contents of the user directory to see if my application is properly made pictures.

How can I connect to it?

Thank you

BB announced the layout of the probable case on the PB here.  You probably want to place the image in one of the shared folders.

  • Connection to the Simulator takes ten attempts to work

    Hey. I can always connect to the Simulator Momentics 2.1.1 (10.3.1.2267) but it always made a dozen attempts of connection. It says to check the IP address, which is correct, and fix the device and make sure the dev mode is activated. Unless someone else has had this problem and resolved, which brings me to something:

    Is it possible to make changes to an application and test the new version without closing and reopening the Simulator?

    See you soon

    J.

    You don't need to close and reopen the Simulator.  Simply press the button on the green arrow again and a version update of your application is built, deployed and launches.

    As to the connection attempts, you're waiting until the Simulator began before trying to connect from Momentics?  Do you have any firewall or VPN software that would block the connection?

  • SDK can not connect to the Simulator in VMware

    My operating system: Windows 7 64-bit

    SDK version: 10.0.9; Build id: v201212072306

    VMware Player Version: 5.0.1 build-894247

    Video card: NVIDIA GTX 560 Ti

    I'm trying to use the simulator of 10 BlackBerry, running in VMware Player, to test applications under development in the native BlackBerry SDK. However, when I try to run these applications from the SDK and connect to the Simulator, I see that even though (I think) I got the correctly configured IP address for the target, it is still listed as "Not connected" in the list of Options of the target (I don't know if this is normal or not). Then, if I try to launch the project in any case, I get the following error message:

    "Unable to connect. Make sure USB cable or Wi - Fi is connected, the IP address is correct, and the mode of development. »

    Sorry if I didn't explain very clearly, this is very new to me, and I still have trouble getting my head around it. I'm sure there is probably some information that I forgot to include in this post, but I will provide if I think that whatever it is.

    I have been looking for solutions to the question, but it seems that there could be many possible causes, so I thought it would be better to make a new thread specifically for my situation. I tried the following:

    -Check that the development Mode has been activated (it seems that it has been enabled by default)

    -Ping I thought several times, was the IP address of the command line simulator (sometimes I had to meet with success, but not at the beginning)
    -Disabling Windows Firewall
    -Running a .bat file with 'ipconfig/release; ipconfig / renew. ipconfig/flushdns ".
    -I check the correct target for the Simulator IP address (double-check this confuses me a little, but I think I can find it in "Settings"-> "About" simulation-> 'Network' menu?)
    -Temporarily disable Avast! antivirus software to check if she is interfering
    -Verification of VMware Windows were running (I think he installed four of them in total)
    -Uninstall (then reboot) and reinstall the SDK, Simulator and VMware and restarting, repeatedly

    -Windows asked to troubleshoot the connection of VMnet8 of VMware; He said DHCP must be enabled, but then failed to do this for me (this left me confused; I wasn't sure if it was important or not)

    -Passage of the NAT VMware Bridged mode for the simulator mode, then the connectivity test (it doesn't seem to help, and the "About"-> page 'Network' in the simulation was empty), then power back up

    Any help or any what pointers to additional information, I would give, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    EDIT: I also cant seem to get QML previews to work at all. I don't know if it is related to my other question, but I thought it might be worth mentioning, and this is something else I would try to fix, if possible. I tried to update my drivers, but to no avail.

    Solution found! I just tried to add a target in the software development kit using the IP address on 'Settings' of the Simulator-> "About"-> "Network" screen, but the target has been filtered out of the list, unless I unchecked "target filter based on the selection of C/C++ applications". If I unchecked, the target has been classified as ' 192.168.31.128 (Neutrino / x 86) ', but the Run button was grayed out when I chose it and I noticed the error message, ' binary Selected target do not match x 86 "at the top of the window." I have googled this error message and found the following (quite old) thread:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/native-development/QNX-IDE-target-selected-binary-and-target-...

    After reading through and testing, it turns out that all I had to do was change the active configuration in the drop-down list at the top of the window SDK 'Device-Debug' for 'Simulator-Debug", little"hammer"that I needed to build to the Simulator and not a real physical BlackBerry device. Here is a quote from the post of cdamus, which is where I found the solution:

    "A little trick to streamline your workflow: prospects for development C/C++ has a little"hammer"toolbar of action that you can pull down (click on the black triangle next to it) to define and build the active configuration in one step, for one or several projects."  The icon to the right (it looks a bit like a sundial) defines the active configuration, but is not build. »

    I took a screenshot to help indicate the setting that I need to use:

    Hope this helps you chuma and anyone else who has this problem. Thanks for the tip, cdamus!

  • Unable to connect to the Simulator (169.254.0.1)

    I installed the new Simulator available for VMware Player and have successfully startet it. (Windows 7)

    The Simulator have internet access (I launched a web page in the browser)

    But I can't connect to the device either by ping it in cmd command prompt or the

    plugin in eclipse.

    It is said in the Simulator: use development mode ON and development addresses 169.254.0.1

    Any ideas?

    The value in the security setting is the IP address that will be used when a PlayBook is connected via USB.  You can connect the debugger using the WiFi IP address or IP address of the USB device.

    In the case of the Simulator, the USB connection is not possible if you need to connect using the simulated WiFi connection.

    The icon on the home screen shows all of the IP addresses, you can use to connect to (it will show WiFi and USB IP addresses if both are available).

  • Unable to connect to the Simulator for debugging

    For some reason I can't connect to my Simulator debug. I can run my project, but when the debugging console says "pending connection on port 5768" and never makes a connection. I have tried to resolve this but couldn't find an answer

    I looked at the documentation for the developer, but he said nothing about it.

    It's very strange. Just out of curiosity, trying to put development power off mode, then running, but this time choose a different IP address. Then add back to Momentics and try to run again.

  • Socket connection in the Simulator with MDS, but not on the curve

    Hello

    Working on an application using socket connections.

    SOC = (SocketConnectionEnhanced) Connector.open ("socket: / /" + address.ip_number + ":" + address.port_number + ";") deviceside = true");

    Proceed to use a DataInputStream and DataOutputStream to communicate.

    The server works, can transmit very well with the Simulator, but also another curve (not same model). (There is a small chance that deviceside = true has not been passed as a parameter when we tested on the curve, which would go through BES? This is probably still there however).

    IMHO, this means the places that the question could be one) how the code is implemented on the client phone or b) phones or their settings (have 4 curve 8530 s on the same CDMA network).

    -These phones have already activated in the last days, is there the chances that something is missing from the service book to allow socket connections? (I doubt that what I downloaded messenger ping I assume uses taken... and everything is fine).

    No authorization application that I put?

    Ideas! Please let your mind flow. Thank you!

    To all those who might find this thread after encountering the same problem:

    The issue was with the DataInputStream... available() was ALWAYS return zero, even if there are more bytes to read. This is our 8530 s curve 4 tests phones. Tried on another curve and "BOLD" and they did not have this problem.

    Use available() stopped and tried reading for much bigger than one of our packages will be (5000 bytes).

    Have some phones to test with 5.0.0.337 that they would not work with that.

    After the 5.0.0.1000 they all work perfectly.

    I read somewhere that the available() issue has to do with J2SE-> J2ME problems, something on a wrapper. This problem exists (or existed) with TSL/SSL apparently (sorry I can't find the thread I get this info, if someone really wants to see him answer and I'll get the link in the history of my browser of laptops).

    Hope this helps someone!

  • BB10 Simulator. Unable to connect to the Simulator.

    My app works on BB Playbook, but I want to assure you that it will also be the BB 10.

    Unfortunately, flash builder is unable to discover the Simulator and connection manually by typing ip of the sim also does not work.

    Controller app, which comes with the sim card, is unable to discover and connect to the SIM too.
    The mode of development. I tried to reinstall the Simulator, but it did not help.

    Does anyone have this problem?

    I solved this problem by uninstalling VMware workstation and install VMware Player instead.

  • Problem connecting to the Simulator

    Hello developers!  I have a problem with running my AIR application of Simulator Playbook (VMware 8) using FlashBuilder-based test:

    Unable to connect: connect to /169.254.0.1:443 has expired. Check the settings of IP address for the target. You may need to restart the target.

    This problem is easily solved by enabling vmware networks in windows settings.

    But now FB says that:

    Unable to connect: network is unreachable: connect. Check the settings of IP address for the target. Try to ping the target.

    How to connect the right Simulator to FB?

    I was exaclty same problem. -I uninstalled VMware 8 and installed VMware player. 8 VMware didn't work for some reason any.

  • File in the Simulator connection

    Hi all

    I'm doing the connection files on Simulator and I already tested many articles on how to establish the connection file, but unfortunately no good result.

    1.I created the file by clicking on res folder and add a file 'file '.

    2.i add file by right-clicking on the folder of the file and add the file to the link.

    3.I write the following code

    FileConnection fileConnection is ("myfile") (FileConnection) Connector.open;.

    Here, if I write something like "file:///store/...". "without exception occur but false return fileConnection.exists ().

    Can someone help me open connect using the Simulator or just how to play this file?

    Hello

    I think that you must use FileConnector to read the file in your workspace. Just use Class.getResource for InputStream. I hope this will help.

                InputStream input = this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("\myfile.txt");

                ByteArrayOutputStream baos = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
                int j;
                while ((j = input.read()) != -1) {
                    baos.write(j);
                }
                input.close();

                byte[] data = baos.toByteArray();

  • Unable to connect to the selected mobile data Simulator service

    First of all, let me say that I am a newbie with BlackBerry and simulators.

    I just downloaded 9630_Verizon and 9630_Sprint simulators as well as the MDS Simulator package. I start the MDS Simulator and the DOS window opens and seems to work very well. I start be 9630 simulators and while it seems to work, when I click on the button of the browser and try to go to any web page, I get:

    Unable to connect to the selected Mobile Data Service, please try again later.

    The version of the 9630 Simulator is 2.12.0.47

    The MDS Simulator version is ' SCM 4.1.4.19 19 2007/07/10»

    I can connect to the MDS Simulator using my browser of desktop connection to localhost: 8080. Statistics show all values of zero, so it seems that the 9630 is not yet connect to the Simulator. Is there a configuration file somewhere that I have to change to make it work?

    After that I posted this, I continued to search the forums of possible solutions. One recommendation, I found was to delete the files ".dmp" and restart the device Simulator. That did the trick, things work now.

  • 8320 running Simulator 4.2.2.161 will not connect to the 4.1.4 MDS Simulator

    HI -.

    I just installed the 4.2.2.161 Simulator device 8320 and can't seem to connect to the network via the browser.  I run the 4.1.4 MDS Simulator.  I have several other simulators installed, and they can all connect fine when I run it.  When I'm trying to here, it is there for awhil, and then it times out with the message "unable to connect to the selected Mobile Data Service. Please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your administrator. »

    I noticed a strange thing is that I do not see the "arrows" flashing at the top right of the screen of the simulated device, and I see no record appears in the MDS Simulator window.

    Please notify.

    Thank you

    Mike

    Managed to get the 4.2.2.161 Simulator (8320) working on the PC with MDS 4.1.4.  The only thing I did was shut down, install the 4.2.2.163 Simulator (8310), try it (it worked), and then re-run the 4.2.2.161 Simulator (8320).  It just started working.  (If all goes well, it blocks everything works again.)

    It does not always work on another PC with MDS 4.1.0 but I guess it's just a matter of MDS version.

    Are you running the MDS Simulator? In the opposite case. try running the MDS Simulator.

  • Simulator of impossible to connect to the local network services

    Hi all.

    I'm sure this has been answered somewhere, but I can't.

    I have the sim card of the installed 0.9.3 Playbook and (especially) work. It accesses the internet just fine, apps to load and run thin.

    However, what I can't do is access of local network services. I tried even by its IP address and just make mistakes.

    I don't have a DNS server on my local network right now, but could create one, if it helps.

    Any suggestions?

    Hey,.

    try to change the adapter settings in your VMware Player for 'bridge' and restart it. This will give you an actual IP your simulator of the router connecting all your networked computers and the Simulator and he will be treated like any other computer. hope that helps. Good luck!
