Connection Bridge does not work! Help!

Hello guys.

I have a problem for my connection work bridged on my virtual machine.

Data sheet:

: Server Debian Lenny 5

3 IP is already configured in static and work

Installed VMware Server 2. Great work.

33580 10 vmnet

15620 vsock 0

VMCI 43620 2 vsock

vmmon 60484 6

Virtual machine installed.

Ubuntu 9.10 Server with a minimum of gdm.

The comments interface is configured with dhcp.

I have setup the connection to the server bridged vmw to eth0: 1, the 3 ip address of the host. When I try ifconfig on the host I see vmnet1 and vmnet8 but I don't see vmnet0. Anyway, until I reinstalled vmware, when I used to go to the bridge connection, after awhile the host lost the configuration of interfaces and all 3 ip addresses were assigned to the operating system virtual and strange and really stressing that it is.

I'm a newbie on the use of vmware and I have never configured or managed bridged connection. What should I do in my case? I want almost just my virtual machine to share 1 ip with the host.

And yes I tried to configure my interfaces with DHCP hosts, but after awhile, the configuration will automatically static...

On the web interface of vmware, I see that the comments field is identified but all-IP. In any case, this area is not true, it's just a name I put. Maybe I need to set the host reviews domain too? Anyway, even the host is a domain. Host interfaces I just address; network mask; gateway for eth0 and just address and the mask for the other 2 remaining IP... all static.

I'm googleing for quite awhile now, but the seams I can't solve. I'd love to read any suggestion. In fact I really need some advice.

No, I didn't tell you that. I only told you that you cannot use an IP address on two hosts. The client needs its own unique IP address, but you announced, according to me, it doesn't even have an IP address.

I don't want no special configuration. I just want to have regular bridged connection. What makes it 'different' in my case is

It depends on where you use IP addresses. If they are already used on the host computer does not have one of them in the comments.

I think you are missing some basics:

VMware offers three types of failure of networks. All apply to all TCP/IP rules.

Everything first a 'bridge' or VMnet0:

When you use a connection open, the guest connects seamlessly to the network. By using its own MAC address and using its own unique IP configuration.

Second, one is 'host-only' or VMnet1:

Again, the client has its own unique valid IP configuration, but it is not connected to the physical network, but to a virtual (VMnet1). The host is also connected to VMnet1 via its virtual adapter VMnet1. VMnet1 is a separate IP subnet, it has its own subnet IP address (default something like 192.168.x.x).

Third is "NAT" or VMnet8:

It is also a virtual network as VMnet1 but here the host acts as a proxy for the guest. The host has its own unique and valid IP (from subnet IP VMnet8) address and uses a virtual IP address as its gateway to the outside world (physical network). Using NAT allows to hide the comments of the physical network because each package seems to come form the host.

So, if you want to have your comments using a bridge connection, assign an IP address, which NO other host uses. Unfortunately I can't help you here, as you xxxxx'ed the information most important in your post, IP addresses. These IP addresses are the reason for which this information is requested in this forum. If they must be kept secret, you can xxx the first three digits of the address, but must appear at least in the last three games. Otherwise, we cannot check if they are correct or not.

I've been running VMware for more than 8 years on workstation or server, but I have a last question a few days and I don't seem to be able to solve it.
Here is some basic information:
1. Windows 2003 x 64 sp2
2. I have 4 nic (broadcom and intel)
3. This server is running for 3 years. Dell 2950 2cpu Quad, 16 GB
4. started with VMware Server 1.0.0 and am on VMware Server 1.0.10
5. 5 VM work without problem.
6. the server was at 6 or 7 months. has decided to update Windows.
7. I shutdowned all these 5 VMs.
8. (35 updates) windows update
9. rebooted with no problems
10. the host works very well. access to the Internet. everything is good.
11. Start the vmware console and start one of the virtual machines (windows server 2003)
12. system starts with the error: "the network device VMnet0 Bridge does not work. the virtual machine will not be able to communicate with the host or other machines on your network. virtual device ethernet0 will start disconnected.
13. This massage is for all virtual machines.
14. last thing on virtual machines: all NIC 2 (bridge and customized to VMnet1) running. That's how since 2007.
what I've done since:
1. Reinstall VMware 1.0.10
2. restarted the server host
3. update of two network cards (2 x broadcom and 2 x intel)
4. I read on this forum that could be challenged NIC Cluster NIC but I've not grouped NIC
5. played around with the settings of the host virtual network. removed changed etc... no luck
6. I hear everywhere that under "automatic gateways" I need to uncheck. This could be the right track but that checkmark is grayed out.

Canvio connect II does not work on Mac

I have a canvio connect II and I had to format it because Windows 7 does not recognize, I did said Toshiba, for formatting so that the hard disk has unit. I formatted with NTFS and my problem is when I connect my Mac hard drive, I can't save anything, I can't make a backup... Then my canvio connect II does not work in my Mac.
How can I put all the software that had my hard drive? Where can I download them? How to install?

Bridge does not work for connections of the app?

I was travelling this weekend after receiving my PlayBook on Thursday. I tried to use my sister BlackBerry phone inbetween airports and hotels to try to connect to the internet via BlackBerry Bridge. What I found, it was, the bridge has worked well to get the messages from the phone, but when trying to browse the web required from the bridge browser, which was extermely slow and pretty useless. In addition, all applications requiring interenet access, would not work. I tried the simple Weather app.

So, is this the case? The bridge will not work with applications to allow them to connect to the Internet? Or could it just be the particular connection, I had?

iPhone 6s and carplay connected but does not work

It has worked before and now does not. I deleted the system carplay phone and indicated above. The iPhone says bluetooth is connected to carplay and carplay indicates it is connected to the iPhone, but it does not work properly. I can't get or receive calls. I hear the phone ring on incoming calls by speakers in the system several times and when I touch the phone button my steering wheel to answer does not work, or it shows the phone number entering on the radio screen. When I try to make a call, the iPhone does not, I call say they have heard their phones ring but could not hear me speak, phones sounds dead on both ends. I have to disconnect carplay to make and receive calls.

As side note my iPhone and carplay work with audio for listening to music, but who also has been removed from carplay so that I can put in place the phone carplay only system.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Calling a Flex action when you display a view html Bridge does not work

I have a second question.
Our plug-in displays a view of the hosts using the html bridge code. When our view is active and the user
call the context menu in the Navigation on the left - and attempts to perform an Action (for example: Host disconnect).

I made a Plugin Acme - it does nothing except show a label and a text. Then I added this to my plugin.xml for a host.

The first photo shows just the plugin at the beginning. Then I call the contextmenu - and select "Disconnect" - the third watch

what looks like the view, and it's normal 'disconnect' are you sure... box is not running...

But I noticed that I use the sdk 6.0ga - so maybe I should try with update 1?

But for our production, we use the sdk 5.5, because it must operate on 5.5 as well.

I also tried another host of Actions, such as alarms-> new alarm definition - but that works properly. I don't know what could be the difference.

Network Bridge does not work after copying on another system

I use VMware Server 1. I created a Fedora 9 guest operating system. I used bridged networks. I've edited/etc/sysconfig/network-script/ifcfg-eth0 and assigned static IP. It works very well.
I copied the image to a different system and it turned. But now the networking does not work. It shows as instead of eth0 eth1. change the/etc/sysconfig/network-script/ifcfg-eth0 once again restores the networking. is their anyway to maintain the previous configuration after copying.
