connection of Native facebook app - context invocation

Hello

I use this project for facebook login:

https://github.com/QuickBlox/BB10-Facebook-connector

Currently, it sends you to a web browser to connect. I wonder if there is a way to launch the native facebook for the user to connect app?

Thank you.

I don't think that there is no invocation so that no sorry, you must do it yourself.

There's an example here for social invocations that are available application...

Original Droid, v2.2 (FRG01B). After I got the Froyo update, I downloaded the Facebook for Android app to see if it was better then the native Facebook application. I decided that the native application was better so I unintalled the Facebook for Andorid app. Now, when I go on Facebook > Notifications, I get the error message:

Failed to retrieve notifications. Please try again later. [601/parse error: unexpected '-' position 64.]

I am allowed to enter in other areas of the Facebook (News Feed, profile). I deleted the cache and settings under Applications ate > Facebook 'reset' the settings but still get the error message for Notifications. Any suggestions? This has been a problem for more than a week.

    Thank you!

I just had the same thing happen to me & has got this exact error... My FB app was an older version (I had updated my Droid to the current 2.2 OS version).  Go to your market and install the latest FB for Android (I know that you already have).  Once you have done this - remove the battery from your phone for about 30 seconds... power up & try to enter again the FB - he must now work and recognize your latest version of FB & the error should be gone.  It worked for me!  Good luck =)))

  • HELP - 9520 blackBerry Smartphones do not connect to bbm/facebook app/no email

OK, im tired of Google looking for help on this topic without finding answers

I bought a Storm 9520 on vodafone just after the new year and so far ive just are a total pain. I can open the bbm and when I add people or they add me, applications just not send.

Also, my contract said it came with email free blackberry, I did not. Infact I can not get any email on the phone, he sends me just an Assistant where I need a password I do not know.

Facebook app connects - I get the message "cannot connect because a data service is not available...". ». When I try and send a photo on facebook... nothing, just to get the same message. So far ive been using the browser for Facebook that works very well, with wifi, so I know I can get internet.

Its my first blackberry and if I can't find a resolution to this problem it will definitely be my last.

Is that what Im missing? Everything I should have done when I got to the phone?

    Any ideas? Help, please!

    Thank you

Sorry for this late reply, completely forgotten about this post, but better late than never just to get closure on this.

It was really simple, I just had to ring upward, my data service had not been activated. When I received the phone the sim card initially had not enabled so I had to ring upwards to activate this aswell, looks like they forgot to activate the services on my sim card at all.

Had no email either... still need to ring upwards to activate that.

Sorry again once and thank you for your answers.

  • Cannot connect to facebook app

I installed an HP Photosmart 7510 using a Mac OS X 10,74, and everything works great except that I can't get Facebook to accept the activation code provided by the printer.  After registration to Facebook, when I enter the code (and I've tried several, all provided by the Facebook app) and click on 'Connect', nothing happens.  I don't get some additional instructions, and the printer says I'm not connected.  It's a very simple procedure, but not joy.  Is there a web site Facebook app that I can ask for help?  Thank you.

    Hello LittleBoar,

If all your other applications and web services work, you may need to contact Facebook directly because they are the ones who manage the Facebook app.  I don't know if they have a dedicated application service, but Facebook will be able to tell you more once you contact them.

    Hello

I am new to the development of native applications from BB using JDE. I'm testing Simulator. From my native BB app, I connect a remote URL and call a Web service method to extract some basic result XML.

I need to write a login code remote URL to achieve? If so, how?

So, how can I use this connection object to call the Web service from this URL remotely.

Please help me out of it...

    Many thanks in advance...

What i am doing is, On clicking the "Login" button i want to call the webservice method like below mentioned code...
Here WaveServices is a class and getAllCinemas() is a static method inside which a webservice method call is made..

    loginButtonField.setChangeListener(new FieldChangeListener() {
                public void fieldChanged(Field paramField, int paramInt) {
                    WaveServices.getAllCinemas();

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Facebook app does not connect

Application Facebook of my wife accepts most of his user name and password. This started happening after the 2.0.0.37 of enforcement. The phone is a Pearl 9100, running OS 5.0 Bundle 1262.

When she enters his user name and password and then click on the Login button, it goes just in a loop, but it never actually connects. But she can get on his fine Facebook via Blackberry browser.

Reinstall the Facebook app. That seems to have fixed for me.

  • Windows 8 people app does not connect to my Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn

My app Windows 8 people will not connect on my Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn (all the social networks I joined).

    Details:

My contacts all sync and I can see if they are online but you can't use What's New (connected to the only lists Microsoft)

Try to connect within the people app, and there are no errors, just get a synchronization «...» ", but nothing happens

I can see my Facebook photos in the photos app

My login account is my hotmail, not the local account account

My wife has a separate profile (also hotmail) and has no problem with the integration of the people/Social site

    Performed troubleshooting:

Removed all accounts linked and added the

Uninstalled/reinstalled people (and all associated applications) (after you have reinstalled the application, that it has been connected for about 5 minutes.)

account type changed to level local and back to hotmail

I bought this OS mainly for this function, if it does not work I need to talk to a refund (I'm willing to help out and try the suggestions, but it must work or go...)?

It seems to have solved the problem...

I removed all the social sites linked from my profile and the value of my account at the local level.  Then add a new user using my Hotmail address.  Connected, add accounts to my profile and people connects now to them!  Now, I just hope it remains connected...

Wink is primarily intended to connect to the Google game shop, so you can install the apk android on your Blackberry device files, so we do not use wink in this case...

You'd have to use is Knowyou, if you are not familiar with its use, check:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/BlackBerry-10-OS-device-software/upgrading-BB10-OS-using-Sach...

In fact, you can skip the part about choosing which of the alternatives to use for this process, since we don't ask knowyou to extract the source files online.

Here's what you need to do:

Download the bar to produce for the purposes of facebook from your computer, using the link below:

    http://CDN.fs.SL.BlackBerry.com/FS/QNX/production/b09d41cf7bee2031431998e2c316fb775f0ef589/Facebook-...

Download Knowyou on your computer (download link)

    https://github.com/xsacha/Sachesi/releases/download/2.0.0RC/Sachesi2-RC-Windows.zip

Set your system offline (it disconnect from internet)

Connect your BlackBerry smartphone to your computer (if the Blackberry link auto lance, close it)

Launch Knowyou (if you have a password set for your device, would be asked and you will need to enter it and knowyou should automatically detect your device type.)

Click the install from knowyou interface, click on setup file and place where the .bar facebook has been saved, click it and let knowyou do its magic (you can also use drag and drop once you are on the installation interface)

Once Knowyou is done, you can restart your device (although not a necessity, but I prefer it like that).

If there are errors, please come back to the forum and let us know... If it's not and you get successfully return facebook app, also share your experience.

Once installed and your device has been restarted/rebooted, you can rely on Blackberry App World to check an update of the facebook app

    Hope this helps

  • Facebook app style elegant UI

I looked at Facebook for Blackberry and was captivated. It turns out that it was

developed by RIM. Are there examples to develop this a cool Interface?

I was wondering if anbody can leave me the "inside secrets".

I know about the extension of classes button etc, to have their own

Object methods - are there examples?

I guess that the FaceBook App use BIS - B (MDS Public) for connectivity.

I have heard from Mr. Kirkup (at the Devcon) BIS-B will be made more "public" in the near future, so there is still hope for the non-alliance people. I've not heard anything since.

Otherwise, you must attach to the top (if you haven't already done so).

I think that something like 95% of your support for connectivity issues disappear with BIS-B, then it is worth.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Facebook App calendar Synch

I recently had to do a wipe, and since then I can not change the options in my Facebook BlackBerry App to sync with my calendar; It is all grey and unselectable.

How can I get the birthdays and events to post back to my calendar? BES night all with the Facebook app?

    Hello WVTinyTim,

Remove your Facebook app in Options > Advanced Options > Applications.

Reinstall it from www.blackberry.com/facebook and when running through the Facebook set up the wizard, see if you are now able to connect to your calendar.

  • Failed to connect blackBerry Smartphones facebook - NOT an internet connection problem

I have the BB Curve 8330 running 4.5.0.77.  I installed the Facebook app v1.2.0.  I try to connect every time I get the "the combination of e-mail and password entered was incorrect.  Please try again. "I confirmed that this IS the right email and password and have tried several times.  I read all the other FAQS about the PDAP etc...  Otherwise, my BB works perfectly with everything, BUT this app.

Hey as long as it worked! Can you kindly solve this post? Thank you.

  • Remove Facebook App

I installed the Facebook application, and immediately all my friends had added as contacts, which I didn't. I tried to delete these contacts, but got the message "cannot delete Facebook profiles. I uninstalled the Facebook app, but I still cannot delete these contacts. Any ideas? Is there a way to keep the app, but not contacts have added? Otherwise, is there a way to remove the apps & contacts?

A little surprised nobody has answered this earlier. But what you want to do is very easy, and you should be able to leave the facebook software installed.

With the software facebook already installed (if you install after that it will re - add facebook to your contacts, forcing you again), go to contacts. Press the top menu bar on the left and choose "Preferences & accounts." Under accounts, tap "Facebook". In the next screen, there will be an orange button marked down 'delete account '.

    Boom, you're all set!

That said, you sure want to actually remove facebook contacts rather than take the time to connect them to existing names in your address book? I'm just wondering this is part of the synergy that is a first point of sale of the appliance.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not get BBM working or the Facebook app

A few months from my blackberry but I still can't work of BBM, I have a contract with 250 MB internet and I can use the normal when browser im out and about. I cannot use the Facebook app when I am connected to WiFi. My BBM says (waiting) when I add a person, and it does not show that I added them on their phone. I'm on Vodafone,

    Thank you

so here is the question... you do not get a password business unless you are on a BES plan, it is for professional use... for personal use, you would use BIS (blackberry internet service)... to do this, you need a data plan activated BIS, chances are, your data plan is not for Blackberry use...
I would give Vodafone a call and check your tariff plan.
Once you have a plan active BIS, will allow you to have another option other than of the company e-mail configuration.
