  • Using the two connections of cable and wireless on a laptop Windows 7

I have a wireless router on my home network, which works very well.  Sometimes, I connect my laptop with a wired connection for faster speed during file transfer.  When I do that, I have 2 network connections: Wi - Fi and wireless.  Should I disconnects me wireless connection, or is it possible to have both connections at the same time?  Is it possible to configure Windows 7 to disconnect the wireless when it detects a wired connection?

    Thank you.

It's OK to have two connections.  Windows automatically uses the one with the highest rated speed.

I don't know how to have it automatically disconnect one of them. Steve Winograd, most Microsoft Valuable Professional (desktop experience)

  • Re: Satellite L300D and Win7 - cannot find the WLAN driver

I have the Satellite L300D (PSLC8C-06T01R) I just got this in the month; I decide to put Windows 7 on thinking there would be all the necessary drivers. Well I was wrong; Once I installed 7 we find all drives but the wireless card. I don't then told me the Vista disks would work on Windows 7 so I tried and no luck, I then put Vista on and everything was fine, then when I went to look for the driver for the wireless card in Vista, it doesn t do anything the card is always 'does not work correctly.

Vista Atheros wireless drivers or something else on the site Web of Toshiba don t do anything.

If anyone has the same problem made me know, or if anyone knows how to fix this or even if it is possible to find the drivers for windows 7 that would be great cuz that s my goal (Windows 7)

Please as soon as possible I need this laptop at the University.

For me, it makes sense to collect all relevant information before you do something again. Obviously you didn't check before installing Win7 Toshiba support page. Until that Win7 is not released Toshiba will offer no tricks of Win7.

As I see you have Canadian cell phone model and I don't know what WLAN card is inside, but in your a story thing confused me. You have installed Vista again. I assume you have done this with original Toshiba recovery image. This recovery image is designed for certain model of laptop and contains all the necessary drivers for all hardware components. I don't understand what the problem with the wireless network card.
I have to ask you if you have installed Vista with the Toshiba recovery image?

My laptop is the Satellite A300 - model psagca.

I install the drivers of Realtech and still not get the case.

    Thank you in advance.

    I have a Photosmart 7520

    Hello

All my tests were using Windows, but I think we can do it for Windows why not Mac. It takes config of the printer as a wireless printer (IE to connect to a network) and install drivers, or applications on OTHER computers and mobile devices.

    Kind regards.

  • Photosmart 7525 connect via USB and wireless

I just got a new HP 7525 and would like to know if I can access the printer using the USB connection for my main desktop PC; and also other PCs/devices occasionally and access randomly the same printer via a wireless connection with my router.

    Problem solved.

Did some more research in Norton Internet Security (Network Options) and found that if I changed the trust level of the network and the printer of trust level to SHARED printer can be accessed wireless in all modes (print, scan, fax).

I had previously used 'FULL CONFIDENCE' running on the other machine XP and W7 machines.

Not sure I understand the differences between "SHARED" and "FULL CONFIDENCE".

  • connect a keyboard and wireless mouse to new hp 5010

I have a new HP 5010 all in a desk top that came with a wired keyboard and mouse.  I have a wireless HP keyboard and mouse I want to use my old HP desktop.  I ran 'add new devices', several times, but may not recognize the wireless keyboard and the computer mouse.  I am running Windows 8.1.  I have no paperwork or records for the 2 items, so I'm not havin no chance to find it.

    Hello

What is your whole keyboard and mouse? They come with a USB dongle?

    • If Yes, you need to adapt this dongle for new machine and you have nothing to do, they will work automatically.
    • If not, this means that they use Bluetooth or receiver built in, in this case, your machine must have bluetooth or a receiver.

My question: do you know what is the model of all keyboard and mouse? (Look at the bottom of the keyboard).

    Kind regards.

  • Re: Installed update the BIOS for my Pro Satellite L300D and now screen does not work

    Hello

I installed the update of the BIOS 3 days ago, I had a few programs that are open at the time and also an external USB mouse in time. The hard drive crashed and then blacked out, but the power was still on the turbine runs at full skin. I tried to turn off the computer by the power button, but it wouldn't, so I let it run out of battery. Since then, the computer seems to turn on but the screen has been blackened since then, I can't see what the State of the hard drive is in.

    Any ideas?

    Hello!

Oh dude, it looks like that your ROM module is damged due to a defective BIOS update :(

A BIOS update should normally * do not get with the implementation of substantive programmes (also antivirus). I think that's the reason why the n t successfully update.

However, you can do nothing. You will need help from a technician for laptop that can try to reflash the ROM module On the Toshiba page, you can search an ASP:

  • Satellite L300D - impossible to find HWsetup, boot from the CD

I have a big problem with my laptop.

Sound on windows xp, I formatted it. All is well now. I wanted to install windows 7, I bought at the store.

I try to install it but the laptop won't boot from the cd. I'm trying to get into the bios, no way to get... I try f2, f4, f8, f12, esc at the beginning that nothing worked. Ive was searching the Internet for more than 8 hours now and apparently I need HWSetup to use my BIOS. No problem, I got it I install on USB (Vista version). When I try to see the priority boot sequence, its empty, I don't see anything. I try to default restor it build a sequence, I moved cd ROM. upward. Reboot, do not work. I see hwsetup and sequence disapeard even once, I tried like time 5 did not work.

I though that it was because it's the version of vista and I am using windows xp now, so I tried to find the HWSETUP for windows xp and guess what, IMPOSSIBLE to find. After a few hours trying, I decided to post here.

So it is impossible to boot to my cd Oh and yes my cd drive works fine.

    Please help me!

    Hi ranmyus,

Hwsetup you can download from the official website of Toshiba if you search through Satellite L300D and Windows XP. For Windows XP, but it is called utilities and * not * HWsetup:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

As far as I know, you can change the boot order in the BIOS if you press the F2 key.
In addition the start menu you can access when you press the F12 key after you have turned on the computer.

It works when you connect an external keyboard?
