  I'll try to find the resourse on the NOR-9862 which explains the lights on the front of the ideas?

  I know that the green lights light up when there is communication that I am able to communicate with a C-18 cat on J-1939 very well with the LabVIEW program that I have.

  What I don't know, it's what the red light. and no matter which of the two lights can come?

  When executing my LabVIEW program (2015) with a cRIO-9023 (in hybrid) via X-Net platform; map 9862 passed suddenly double green at a red light. The CAT engine cut off, but I'm not sure if the can loss was the cause or the effect of the shuttdown. Now for some reason any I lost all J-1939 - communtication CAT.

  I've been searched ni.com and have not yet found an answer to my question prliminary (first one above).

  Anyone know where they could direct me to find this info?

  I was able to find information about the LEDs XNET Hardware and software manual. The LEDs are covered on pages 63-65. If my interpretation is correct, it looks like you have a solid red LED 1. This indicates that there is a problem with the bus power. Make sure your bus is powered correctly, as the manual indicates that this indicates an open session but a problem with the power supply on the port.

  I am trying to connect with my tunable laser "Santec" by GPIB-USB-HS. I received the file VI Labview (instrument driver) for my model of tunable laser STL-210 http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.model_page?p_model_id=2791 . When I run any VI, for example the "laser_on_off.vi" file I received the error message "NOR-488: connection to the driver or a device error. I checked the 'measurement and automation explorer' and Communicator of NOR-488. 2 gives me the following message appears when I send "interrogate" send string * IDN?

  It is meaningless.

  You have to step way back. The Setup instructions for the GPIB-USB-HS shows you first run diagnostics. Finally, you have done this and got a failure. That's why you get "NOR-488: connection to the driver or a device error. Until the diagnostics pass, you lose everything just your time with anything else. Please provide details on the failure when you run the diagnostic tests.

The oscilloscope was no response after that I have send "ASET" (WaveRunner 104Xi order for autosetup oscilloscope) through the viWrite tab.

  I am out of ideas now.

  What's my configuration OR-MAX problem? or hardware problem? or a server problem?

  Please advice... need help badly.

  Alan and LeCroy Support here...

  Use the type of connection (LXI).  The problem is that when you use the connection TCP/IP (ACIP) type, you cannot configure the WaveRunner 104MXi as a resource of VISA's TCP/IP in MAX.   Note that MAX is not 'hip' to recognize any instrument type TCPIP, including extended via ACIP LeCroy.  To use LXI, go to utilities > utility configuration... and then to the 'Remote' tab, where you will find the button on the left side of the screen of config to use 'LXI '.  If you don't see this button, you will probably need to update your firmware.

  With the type of connection (LXI), you can automatically find the scope through MAX, enter this amount as a VISA TCP/IP resource and configure an alias as well...  You can also point your web browser to the IP address of the bezel, and you will see a status page with information, including the name VISA always useful resource to use when you configure the scope in MAX.  (Note, however, there is no need to use MAX at all when the connections of VISA to LeCroy oscillloscopes!)

• 485 4 son of connection 2-wire with PCIe-8431

  I am trying to connect a temperature with my PCIe 8431 watlow controller.  When I plugged the cable I have shorted out Tx + Rx + (p 4.8) and Tx - Rx-(P5, 9) to connect to the controller.  I guess it's the conversion of 4-wire 2-wire, but when you look at the "loop back" connections of NOR, exactly what they tell you to do.  I ask because I'm not sure and I'm not able to establish communication with the controller.

• Problem when updating firmware NEITHER-9862

  I've recently updated to 2015 of LabView.  When I connected to my 9862 cDAQ chassis into one of the slots, NI Max required an update of the firmware of the 9862.  After update, the data from this module were very bad and unstable in many ways.  When I downgraded and used a computer that runs LabView 2013 data met as planned.  The new version of the firmware is 14112110, while the old version is 11030415.  Anyone know if there is something wrong with this new firmware?  I do not restart the chassis after updating or downgrading of the module - which is a problem?  Is there something wrong with LV 2015?

• Connect the PS module. I get the module to the MAX, but can't seem to read from this module

  I'm back to LV and was trying to change an old Win98 computer to a new one with XP. The program should contact FP-1000 (+ FP-TC-120 and FP-TB-x) through serial ports. He finds the data with MAX and them can read. But when the program, which is set up like that (only changed the port serial numbers), try to read, he cannot do so.

  It is worth noting that the program is able to write via a serial port to a eurotherm controller, but not to read that as well.

  The errors are:

  Reading VISA: 0xBFFF0072

  VISA read: 0x3FFF0006, both are made in PS Read.

  Why is it so? Errors are read out OR spy. I tried to set up the connection using NOR-Serial Troubleshooting Wizard, but it does not find the material although MAX may.

  Try to use Recovery Manager to reinstall your Realtek HD Audio driver - this will also reinstall the Beats Audio interface.  How to use the Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document at the link below.

  I have a weird problem, sure I'd love help.

  I am writing from NOR-9862 card located in a cDAQ chassis 9188 a CAN device within the network. I am currently implementing a command/response with the device architecture to verify that the command succeeded. Please find enclosed the diagram to see the code.

  Question:
  Whenever I try to write, then read the response from the device, I see that nothing of CAN read ONLY the first to be called. After that, it works like a champ. I tried to play with the waiting time of the function of waiting, waiting for the loop, the time-out values... almost everything I could think of. I opened the monitor bus OR-XNET and confirmed that I indeed get a response back from the device, however, my code does not reflect this. Interestingly, when I run the NOR-XNET read VI in a loop of its own, it reads very well.

  I hope that one of you guys can give me a pointer or two

  Call first to start. XNET impliictly starts on IO (read/write) access. You call all first write (from the writer) and then calling Read (from the drive). If you want that the player started before the first entry, call Start on the session of reading outside the loop.

  I use NI 9213 and DAQ-9174 to monitor the temperature. Without thermocouple wire connected, using NOR-DAQmx tasks, reading is 2.296334 K. When I use DAQmx Read (Analog DBL 1Chan 1Samp) .vi, reading is 1377.69.

  1. What is the good?

  2. why reading is not taken into account the room temperature which is around 26?

  3. do I need to do the calibration for NI9213 before using it?

  Hi Ott,

  If you do not have a thermocouple attached to the 9213 module, the module just go read electric noises. This electrical noise has no physical relationship to the room temperature. When you do actually connect the thermocouple, be sure to configure the DAQmx task as a task of thermocouple to HAVE. Also be sure to select the correct thermocouple specifications (i.e. type of thermocouple).

• ENET-9472 installation problem

  During my first attempt at installation of connection to NOR-DAQmx, NI ENET-9472 (whose installation takes place without incident), there was a deadlock:

  In step 6 of the Configuration of the device (p.8), say the instructions enter the hostname under general settings of the network. This field is not accessible - I can't type in this empty field, so I can't finish the configuration. left/right clicks do not open the field. The Self Test, reconnect and Reset device function. The icon displays as connected ENET-9472. Everything was new, out of the box, and all instructions proceeded without error up to this point.

• CAN read overflow

  What is the difference between a meeting of project XNET (a session configuration xnet in the list of projects) and a XNET create session VI (flow of image input)?

  My code is continually reading frames. When I use the XNET create session.VI (input stream of framework), I would read the overflow from the queue after a minute or two.

  Whenever I use a session XNET project level (Installer in the list of project files), it works very well for as long I want.

  I use:

  LabVIEW 2014

  Module CAN of NOR-9862 OR-XNET high-speed

  files .dbc with a cyclical signal coming to 10ms (payload of 8 bytes)

  I need to use the session to create VI because I need the session to be installed after my program is started (user input decides the parameters). Otherwise, I would use just at the level of the project and be done with it.

  I have already referred to in the help manuals extended but failed to get the two methods of creating XNET session to the same behavior.

  I think that I figured it, I defined the session in a state machine. State that I have defined in it was supposed to be a single State, but one of my other States loop the whole time and time again. After a few session stacked definitions, he left. It's always something that you expect. I appreciate the help!
