Connection to the local but no Internet (CABLE)

I am currently using a cable connection to connect to the internet. Yesterday after uninstalling ZoneAlarm and SuperAnti Spyware my computer connect to the internet.  The box works properly because my phone line crosses and it works. Usually, if there is a problem with the actual adapter (box), that the phone will not work. I have reset the box many times, turned off for 30 minutes and reconnected. All the indicators show that the adapter is connected and functional. But my internet is not working.

I also have:

  1. Tried ipconfig/release / renew restarted.  It says media disconnected however the link blinks on my cable adapter. It doesn't have an IP address. "Media State...: media disconnected > connection - specific suffix DNS.:" He also says disabled BIOS.
  2. I also tried EasyTether as an alternate. The connection is done however I can't access the internet.
  3. I've updated all the drivers of network, they seem to work correctly, there is not! or X (yellow or red) beside him. Ipv4 and the IPv 6 are verified.
  4. I tried disabling my firewall.
  5. Fact that I clicked on lan settings-it says 'autodetect' and this proxy server box was NOT checked

Nothing seems to work I'm about to throw the computer out the window. Help, please!

But now, about a few days later, the problem came again and I restored the system again. But I thought I can't do this forever. Is there a way to fix it or at least to know what is the problem?

    Hi FinalEclipse,

Follow the steps below to update your network adapter driver:

    1. If your computer is a Dell, HP, Sony, etc., go to the manufacturer Web site and download the driver for your network card, specific to your computer model and save the file to your desktop so that it is easy to locate.
    2. On your computer, click Start
    3. Right click on computer then Properties
    4. Select Device Manager

  • IPad connects to the wifi but not internet

I have a new iPad. It connects without problems to my wifi network at home, but when I try to connect to a network in a coffee shop, it shows that it is connected ok, gets an address IP etc, but when I try to use Safari I get a message that it is not connected to the Internet. This has happened in two branches of McDonald's when I tried to use their network. Once a portal connection captive flashed for a moment, but disappeared before I could connect.

I tried to forget the network and reconnect, a restart of two buttons, reset the network settings, tried to use Google DNS, but none of them have worked for me. My iPhone works without problem on the same network

Any suggestions on what I can try?

    Vinnie

Try using another browser. In my experience, sometimes Safari have problems viewing a page ' agree to our conditions "on the hot spots. I have Atomic but there are others out there. Once you connect, Safari will not let you access the conditions page, use the other browser, which should, so you can use whatever one you want to continue browsing.

  • PC connected to the airport but no internet

List Dear members, I'll put up a new wifi network in my laboratory using an airport Time Capsule 3 to (802.11ac). All Macs here are correctly attached to the base of the airport and have full internet access. However, two laptops with Windows 7 and 8.1 are connected to the airport base, but do not have access to the internet. The airport is configured with a fixed IP address from my DHCP router mode University. Could you please help me solve this problem? Thank you.

First ping computer test windows laptop in a DOS command window.

Ping the DNS servers of the University System. Ping Google's Public DNS servers. IE 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

    Tell us what is happening.

If you can ping the google DNS, which is usually a good indication that the PC has got the wrong DNS values. So just use manual DNS Configuration in the laptop.

If you cannot ping out of the United system but are ok internally you question gateway... Again check the IP of the bridge against the value Macs are gettings.

  • WIFI connects to the router but no internet connection on 15R 3521

Hi, the new laptop 3521 with Win7 Pro the WLAN will connect to the selected wireless router but is unable to establish an internet connection.

WLan Driver 1703 was duly installed once the Chipset driver was installed, as recommended.

Fortunately, other mobile devices to connect to the same router. Ubuntu on this laptop was also happy to connect to internet on WIFI, only Win7 fails.

Disabled the Win7 firewall, but no change. This connection, unidentified in the network and sharing Center.   Router SSID etc have been entered correctly. Remove the WLAN profile and not reinstated, no change.

Tried to connect to another router wireless with the same result. I can only run this laptop on wired connection to the router.

I am at a loss as to what other steps I could take to correct this key WLan / internet access.

Any suggestions would be welcome. See you soon.

    Hi love,

Thanks for your advice. I deleted the profiles (two identical found!), also removed all entries of all WiFi routers in Win 7 registry. This step has not resolved the problem.

However, I found the reason for the connection problem and the solution is the following:

In the wireless connected (TP-Link) router, wireless--> channel settings is set to 'AUTO' (which is to select automatically 20 MHz or 40 MHz).

In the device driver Dell WLAN 1703 (properties--> advanced--> bandwidth 802.11 n, the value has been set on (ie the Atheros is the default!))  "20 MHz.

Once I put the option value "20 MHz / 40 MHz Auto", the connection comes to life.

    What a relief!

The question is now completely resolved. Thank you to all who have contributed.

    Better with respect to Dzsino.

  • WiFi is connected to the router, but "no internet access?

Hi I have a Samsung r519 laptop with windows 7. I am connected to my routerbut I can not always connect to the internet. I think that the problem can be on an ip address, dns or parameter setting of the server. My ipv4 settins are set to 'use ip address of followig' and 'use the followig dns servers. My ipv6 settings are set to automatic. I would like to know if you want pictures of my computer screen. Help, please.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

Did you do any hardware or software changes to your computer recently?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
    Run the network troubleshooter
    Reference:
Using the troubleshooter from network in Windows 7
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

If this does not help, then use method 2.

    Method 2:
For the DNS server, follow these steps.

    a. Click Start. Type cmd in the search box and press ENTER.

    b. in the command prompt window, type the following command and press ENTER:

    ipconfig/flushdns

Note: There is a space between ipconfig and /.

It will show you the message successfully empty the cache of DNS resolution.

    c. again once, in the command prompt window, type the following command and press ENTER.

    ipconfig/registerdns

    d. type the following command at the command prompt and press ENTER.

    ipconfig/all

The command ipconfig/all command displays for all your network adapters, TCP/IP in Windows settings.

If your IP address of your Local network connection is 0.0.0.0 or 169.x.x.x (where x is a number any), then your computer does not receive an IP address from router.

If this is the case, try this:

    a. type ipconfig enough at the command prompt and press ENTER.

    b. then, type ipconfig / renew in command prompt and press ENTER.

The test again by typing ipconfig/all to see what is the address?  (If you are on a router, it should start by or 192.168.0.x or 192.168.1.x 10.x.x.x)

Then, if the problem persists, use method 3.

    Method 3:
Please use the suggestions contained in this Microsoft support article and check the issue.

  • Samsung S6 connects to the router but no internet

When I switched to xfinity I bought a C6300. I had problems with the first not allowing my NAS to connect so I exchanged against another. My phone would connect to the router and work fine for awhile then lose Internet connectivity. The only way to get it back is to reboot the router. I tried several different units, and I am now on a C3700. The problem still exists and seems to be deteriorating. All of the suggestions.

I solved my problem by replacing the Netgear with a Zoom. It was the only one that I could find who said it would work with Android. I hope that Netgear will get things straightened.
