  • How to increase the processing speed by connecting to another computer via USB - USB cable

Share laptop processing power. Windows 8, Windows 7

    Hello

I was wondering if I could increase my processing power by connecting a portable alternative to mine via a USB to usb cable. If anyone knows how I would go to do that, or if it is possible I would like to know. I searched on google but not found all the answers.
If this can help, my laptop is running Windows 8 32-bit preview developer, and the portable alternative is running as Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you very much
    Mike

    Hi MichaelSenior,

You will not be able to increase the power of a computer processing by connecting it to another computer via a USB cable or by any other means.

In order to increase the processing power of your computer I suggest you check with your computer manufacturer to see if you can pass any hardware on your computer.

Example: Increase the size of the memory on your computer or upgrading the processor etc...

    Hope this information helps you.

  • LaserJet 4050 TN: Try to connect old Laserjet 4050TN via an Ethernet cable

Hi, just inherited an old 4050 TN printer which I connected directly to my router using an RJ45 ethernet cable.

My PC is connected via ethernet also cable to my router.  I can not get my PC or my network to recognize the printer.

I tried to download the HP Universal HP.com and printing software that I hope, are the right drivers, but so far nothing that I allows me to connect the printer.

I tried to add the printer to my homegroup, but Windows 10 always tells me that I can't create a homegroup on my PC, I don't know why it didn't, but I recently had to re - install windows 10 and my working group worked well previously.

If anyone can point me in the direction of the correct drivers and installation software (do not have the original disk I'm afraid), that would be fantastic.

    Thank you

My usual procedure would be to go through the printer menus and set IP DHCP configuration method.

Then I would have to power cycle the printer with it plugged into the router and him give 2 minutes after getting a ready state and print configuration pages.

On the configuration pages you will find the IP address that the router gave the printer, put this address in the location bar of a browser.

Now you will look at the web server integrated in the jetdirect card and you can change it for an IP address manually so it will be the same after each power Cycle.

I usually take the IP address assigned by the router and add about 22, in other words if it receives your printer an address ending the remplacer.24 par.4.

You add the printer through the devices window and printers.

Now, you can set up your device and that you add it to your selection of PC add local device, then you want to create a new TCP IP port.

When you create the new port, you use the IP address that you gave your printer.

  • Canning Internet connection drops when the computer is connected to the PS3 via an Ethernet cable.

    Original title: Shared network problem

I am trying to use a shared network, configure as follows. My computer connect wireless to my router. My PS3, however, seems to be really slow when connecting wireless to the router and is at a proper speed when connected via ethernet. So, I have my PS3 connected to my computer with an ethernet cable. I put the wifi connection to be shared. Next, I set up my PS3 to connect to cable internet. Has gone through the steps and connected properly and at full speed too. However, there is a problem. My PC guard 'give up' connection to my router, while remaining connected to the PS3. I have to manually connect to my router again, regardless of the connection automatically option. Almost as if my PC is to use ethernet for internet access, (which he won't get that which is connected to the PS3) and so it loses the wifi connection. This abandonment happens around every 5 minutes or more.

Is it possible to keep my PC connected to my wireless router and still be connected to my PS3 through ethernet to connect my PS3 using my PC?

The problem seems to have 'fixed itself. I tried messing around with the connections that would not work even the bridge. Then I've switched back to ICS and did not have a disconnect since then.

So the problem is now resolved, but don't know how?
Whatever it is, I am very grateful for your help Manasa, it is well appreciated!
  • Satellite A100-784 - connect to the TV via a HDMI cable

    Hi friends,

I have a Toshiba Satellite A100 - 784 PSAANE. Its a product abandoned now :-( I wonder if I can connect this laptop with the Sony Bravia LED TV via HDMI cable.
I'm not able to find if the laptop is compatible for it.

Please help me a way to find a solution to connect the led TV and how to do it? Please also help with the cables needed for the same thing.

Sorry guys, I'm quite naïve HDMI company.

    Thanks for all the help,

    Kind regards
    Perkins

    Hey Buddy,

    What do not know exactly?

The laptop has only VGA and S-Video output port but no HDMI port. So that you can t connect the laptop to the TV because you can t connect the HDMI cable to your computer.

If your TV is VGA or S-video port, you can use this cable. After the connection to the TV, press the key combination FN + F5 to switch between monitors.

  • Satellite A80: Failure to connect to the internet via an ethernet cable

I'm having problems to get an internet connection via a cable ethernet to my office. The laptop works everywhere else, but not in the office. The strangest thing is that my desktop at the office computer works perfectly with the same cable.

The icon in the taskbar of configfree reads "MARVELL YUKON 88E8036 PC... 169.254.95.8"no matter how many times I disconnect and reconnect it to my office. Curiously, the IP Office when it is connected to the same cable is 192.168.1.69.

I was told to change the tcp/ip properties manually, but I'm not able to do because I have not all entries in the NETWORK CONNECTIONS or can't seem to create a new.

I would be grateful if anyone has any suggestions.

    Hello

I wonder why you have no entries for network connections.
Click Start-> settings-> network connections-> connections to the Local network-> properties

Select the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and then click Properties.
If you use a server in your office and the IP address is assigned automatically then all TCP/IP parameters must be on automatically

    Check it!

You can not unless someone makes a dongle, but even in this case an application had to talk with the dongle do not believe that a dongle could add something like kernel as a new network interface which could access normal applications

  • Satellite Pro C850 - 1 K 3 can't connect to a TV via an HDMI cable

If I use either F4/the windows key + P and select duplicate or PC screen only (or another option) and then plug it into the TV, so the laptop screen and the TV screen are blank. By pressing any key does not display anything on my laptop screen, then when I unplug the HDMI cable that it happens with the second screen only option highlighted. My laptop strangely ignores what I click and returns continually to this option and unfortunately, I can't project the screen on any monitor (I tried 4 separate monitors).

My laptop was able to be plugged into a TV and I did this several times, but as far as I know this stopped when I had a windows 8.1 update (my assumption, I don't know). I searched the web for solutions, and none have worked. I tried the method of detection of the monitor through the resolution on the desktop option, but again, this cannot be done because I don't see anything on the screen when my laptop is plugged into any TV, and I tried many times.

    Any help is appreciated

    Thank you very much

I use Toshiba laptops a few years now and what I can say is that you need to connect your laptop to the TV first, select the right port on the TV and then use key FN or F to change between TV Office laptops and connected.
Connected TV or another external device must be established first.

    Please test once more.

  • LAN Internet - unable to connect to the Internet via a LAN cable

    Hello

I have an ASUS F3S laptop series running on Vista.

I went on vacation in early June this year and when

I got home that I could not access my internet broadband via the bootable.

I have an another old laptop which works fine using the local network.

I use the ASUS at work and you can get the internet via wireless LAN.

When I try to go online using the LAN laptop trying to access the internet

using the mini port WWAN and not the LAN port.

I have tried to replace the drivers and in desperation, have used the recovery

drive to get Vista back to its original setting.

I still do not have access via the LAN port.

    Any ideas?

You must re-create the network connection Wireless LAN (remove the current which is probably set to use the mini port WWAN and create a new one) and specify the LAN port during installation.  This should solve the problem. Check out the following articles for some detailes, suggestions, troubleshooting instructions and general information that may be useful.  Pay special attention to how to remove a wireless/network connection as it differs from a regular connection, and if not done correctly can continue to exist when you think he's gone (and the system it shows same gone but is not).

In addition, if you use the S-video port, you must choose between PAL or NTSC mode. It according to the country where the life you or where you bought your TV. You can change that in graphics properties.
