Connection with SQL * more is not possible

Hello together,

I have a problem with my database and SQL Plus.

I can't connect to my DB via SQL Plus, I get the error message: > > ORA_12546: TNS: detonation verweigert (Permission denied) < <.

I tried it with several users. When I try to log in to enterprise manager or connecting to the DB through SQL Developer works very well with the user > > sys < <, only the SQL more connection does not work.

It works until yesterday that there are some problems with the DB and the processor and RAM were almost 100% occupied each.

We use the Version 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 64 bit Production on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Server.

I am running SQL Plus, Enterprise Manager and SQL Developer directly on the DB server.

When I start SQL Plus he asks me my username > > enter user name: < < and after that my password: > > password: < <.

A connection as seen in many forums or document on the internet like > > scott/tiger@ORCL < < never worked on my system, which is also confused me.

We have no listener.ora file in the folder: ORACLE_HOME/NETWORK/ADMIN only a sqlnet.ora with line > > SQLNET. AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES = (NTS) < < in it.

Thank you you very much in forward for your answerand greetings

The sys user must connect as sysdba

have you tried

sqlplus 'sys@ORCL as sysdba'

or

sqlplus 'sys/yoursyspwd@ORCL as sysdba'

the first command should work without password for all users group ORA_DBA.

Scott, the user cannot also exists in your database.

  • Unable to connect to an instance by using EM but properly connect with SQL * more

    Hello

    I followed the following steps (from the document s/n 2 days):

    1. I created a model (including the database) to an instance named "orcl" using DBCA, before we proceed to create the model, DBCA informed me that the Forum might be stopped, I told him to go ahead.

    2. the model has been successfully created.

    3. I am now unable to connect to the instance orcl using EM, but I can connect to this instance without any problem using SQL * more.

    Question: Why am I not able to connect to the instance by using EM? and what should I do to fix this?

  • SQL * PLUS connects with SQL > question

    People,

    I'm confused on the command. / sqlplus with Oracle database.

    According to my understanding,. / sqlplus connected with SQL > using option 3: sysdba, sysoper, sysasm.

    I connect with SQL > to run the rel853.sql script to create a table PSOPRDEFN but a field "OPERPSWDSALT" did not appear in the table PSOPRDEFN although it is in the Create Table statement.

    I connect with SQL * in the directory/home/user/OracleDB_Home/bin as below:

    $ export SYSTEM_PASS = AccessId/mypass

    $ export ORACLE_HOME = / home/user/OracleDB_Home

    $ export ORACLE_SID = HRCS90

    $. / lsnrctl start LISTENER

    $. / AccessId/mypass sqlplus as sysdba

    SQL > startup

    SQL > @/opt/PT8.53/scripts/rel853.sql

    SQL > select OPERPSWDSALT in the AccessId.PSOPRDEFN;

    It returns: "OPERPSWDSALT": invalid identifier.

    I checked the table PSOPRDEFN that the OPERPSWDSALT field did not appear in the table PSOPRDEFN.

    I tried the sysoper option as below:

    $. / sqlplus AccessId/mypass as sysoper

    SQL > startup

    SQL > @/opt/PT8.53/scripts/rel853.sql

    SQL > select OPERPSWDSALT in the AccessId.PSOPRDEFN;

    It returns: "OPERPSWDSALT": invalid identifier.

    The sysoper error is the same thing with sysdba error.

    I tried the sysasm option as below:

    $. / sqlplus AccessId/mypass as sysasm

    He returned: connection refused.

    Someone told me this connection as SYS causes this error. If not a sysdba, sysoper, or sysasm, use the command. / sqlplus AccessId/mypass cannot connect with SQL >.

    My question is:

    First of all, why is what OPERPSWDSALT did not appear in the PSOPRDEFN table while it is in the CREATE TABLE statement?

    Seocond, if not use SYS which is one of the 3 options, how to run the command. / sqlplus AccessId/mypass to connect with SQL > so that CREATE TABLE PSOPRDEFN correctly?

    Thank you.

    so much for the use that you refuse to actually use COPY it PASTE & so that we can see the whole session.

    In the past, you did

    do exactly as below (line by line)

    startup

    connect AccessId/mypass

    COPY the results from above then PASTE all back here

  • Connect to the database with SQL * more: is TNSNAMES. ORA used?

    Hello

    We have a local database called DEV01 and a copy of this database in a data center. To be able to connect to both databases, the TNSNAMES file. ORA

    on the local database server (not the one in the data center) has the following entries:

    / * Entry for the local database * /.

    DEV01_local, DEV01_local. WORLD =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = server01) (PORT = 1521))
    )
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = DEDICATED)
    (SID = DEV01)
    )
    )

    / * Entry for the database in the data center * /.

    DEV01, DEV01. WORLD =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = server02) (PORT = 1521))
    )
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = DEDICATED)
    (SID = DEV01)
    )
    )

    When I connect to the local database server, I set the Oracle environment as follows:

    export ORACLE_SID = DEV01

    export PATH=/opt/oracle/app/oracle/product/9.2.0/bin:$PATH

    export ORACLE_HOME=/opt/oracle/app/oracle/product/9.2.0

    Now I start SQL * more as follows:

    Oracle # > sqlplus user/user

    SQL > select instance_name, host_name from v$ instance;

    INSTANCE_NAME HOST_NAME

    ---------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------

    SERVER01 DEV01

    As the SID is on two databases of the same (DEV01) I really don't understand how Oracle decides which of the SQL databases * more connects to.

    Is it the entry in the TNSNAMES file. ORA?

    But when I start SQL * more as follows:

    Oracle # > sqlplus user/user@DEV01_local

    SQL > select instance_name, host_name from v$ instance;

    INSTANCE_NAME HOST_NAME

    ---------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------

    SERVER01 DEV01

    or

    Oracle # > sqlplus user/user@DEV01

    SQL > select instance_name, host_name from v$ instance;

    INSTANCE_NAME HOST_NAME

    ---------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------

    DEV01 server02

    everything is as expected.

    Does anyone know who is the chosen database when just to connect with 'sqlplus user/user' (without the @DEV01 or @DEV01_local)?

    Any help will be appreciated!

    Rgds

    When you connect to the local database that is connected to the server01, you need only specify the sid in the environment, in this case, Oracle tnsnames file to connect, actually uses, it uses any of the listener. It uses what is called a connection needed. It is purely a side connection server, and as long as the sid is located in the environment resolves to a database running on that server, you will be get connected.

    When you connect using the @connect_descriptor, like you second case, then Oracle will use the configured naming, including tnsnames, methods to solve the 'real' database In this case, the auditor is required to create the connection to the database.

    I find it very strange, because it seems that for this name TNS one, I specifically can not connect through TOAD

    I can connect to any other AMT via TOAD, and I can connect through SQL developer

    I also tried a TNSPING and his returning in OK for the server and the connection seem just.

  • P50/P70: Upgrade with WWAN later is not possible anyway?

    Hello

    So maybe this is already known by everyone in the world, but me. As the P50/P70 come pre-installed with no WWAN module, but with the antennas and cables already present antenna, presumably it can be upgraded with the WWAN module when it becomes available?

    Now, that seems in German (item 38): http://www.notebookchat.com/index.php/topic, 55724.30.html

    For those who don't read German no, here is a rough translation of what the author/reviewer to Notebookcheck.com, Andreas Osthoff, wrote:

    "

    Hello everyone, we have now a statement from Lenovo on the LTE modems:

    "The current P50 ThinkPad and Thinkpad P70 are unfortunately NOT" WWAN (LTE) READY "even though that some models were already pre built with the necessary antennas. As it seems at the moment - probably not it is possible that an option of post-installation WWAN (ETL) for P50 ThinkPad and ThinkPad P70 will come.

    The reason:

    The WWAN (LTE) module works at a frequency of 2133 MHz, the same as the used Skylake CPU with @ 2133 MHz DDR4 memory. This causes "interference" to occur, i.e. superposition phenomena when radio waves collide.

    "

    He also wrote that the P50/P70 will be delivered with WWAN/LTE April pre-built options.

    For me, the P50 Thinkpad more like a product rushed. The bad thing for Lenovo, it is their top-of-the-line Workstation laptop series.

    I'm still hoping that this statement was made to someone at Lenovo who didn't know what he was talking about, but knowing the bandwidth of the LTE channels 2.1 GHz, it seems likely that the statement is correct.

    So Lenovo: Is the information which the above correct?

    If so, what CAN be installed in the WWAN slot, now that the antennas are already pre-installed, considering that you are using a whitelist for WWAN modules?

  • 4500 wireless connects with 2 systems but not a third party.

    All of the recommendations noted in all HP sites were conducted. Gets the path looking for connection test

    but then fails at the end. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times.

    I have disabled the firewall (firewall even on other systems). Printer can be seen by web access, and

    is configured correctly. Have it connected to the third system now via USB. System is running XP sp3 with

    the latest from MS and all the updates from HP. (HP system). Other systems that work are a laptop

    with XP and a Vista system. With the exception of the laptop that is wireless, other systems connect through

    a switch to a D-link router Dir 655 B. Note that you can have the USB connection or wireless connection in even

    time on this printer. Any ideas? And please do not repeat the most obvious of which have already been addressed.

    (Note I work on computers for more than 40 years and know the networks, etc., etc.)

    Thank you.

    Don't know why, but just to the dickens, have you a device add tonight, after a few days with

    the PC race, print to the printer via the USB port. Added the printer wireless, and she said very well...

    No changes to the system, etc., etc...

    So now have the printer installed twice on this system - USB and wireless.

    Would be nice if the installer fails he looks a why...

    Thank you all anyway.

  • commands of MySQL with Sql developer does not

    I use sqldeveloper 3.1.07 and trying some selects a mysql 5.1 database.

    SELECT SYSDATE(); works fine, but if I try to

    Use mysql;
    Select in the mysql database;
    -> and user table there is a mistake cause no database is selected.

    How to use sqldeveloper correctly for this task.
    How/where can I run the command mysql with the sqldeveloper?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hey Cracker Jack,

    Analyzers of SQL Developer the text in a worksheet SQL to identify each statement and its type.
    Current SQL Developer has only one Oracle SQL, SQL * Plus, PL/SQL Analyzer.
    This means that the spreadsheet recognizes that SQL which is similar to Oracle SQL (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE,...).

    No connection to MySQL or other databases Oracle, the spreadsheet should work fine with standard SQL (as your selection), but when the command executes a particular MySQL (or not Oracle), the worksheet does not know how to interpret it.

    You can explicitly provide the information to the SQL needs worksheet using a hint.
    http://dermotoneill.blogspot.com/2010/11/workheet-hints.html

    MySQL example:
    / * sqldev:query * / show databases;
    / * sqldev:stmt * / use dermot;
    Select database();
    / * sqldev:stmt * / use information_schema;
    Select database();

    Kind regards
    Dermot.

  • Connection for SQL MORE Info

    I am trying to get into the application of SQL/Plus and it is not letting me using my old user id and the password I created when I was installing the 10 g and create the database. I use my e-mail address and password and it does not.

    Use the password "MANAGER"? I don't know which username to use. Thank you

    So you're saying that I should not use the SYSTEM as my username?

    It's exactly what I'm saying.

    This is purely for my class and I am learning to create the Oracle database.

    So what? You develop bad habits now, you will continue to propegate poor procedures in the future.

    How can we establish a different username next to the SYSTEM?

    Find it in the documentation.
    Go to tahiti.oracle.com
    Explore your selected product and version.
    You can find full documentation for the product and version.
    Because your product is the RDBMS, one of the manuals of the primaries in this documentation set will be titled (drum roll, please)... SQL reference guide.
    You will find useful SQL statements like CREATE USER

    OK, now for some lights.
    In the world of Oracle all objects must be owned by a user. A common practice in the real world is to create a specificallly to the user in order to have the objects that are required by an application. Let's say I develop application of purchase orders. I would create a user - call PURORD - specifically to own all the tables, indexes, procedures, etc., necessary for the application of the purchase order. And let's say I have a buyer in the Department of the purchaseing from my company (a user of the application of purchase order) named Joe Snuffy. For him, I'll create a user named JOESNUFFY. Oracle is concerned, there is no fundamental difference between PURORD and JOESNUFFY. It's all in the privileges I have as a dba to grant these user accounts. My PURORD user might not get privileges at all - not even CREATE SESSION (you can look upward in the game of the doc I mentioned you). Or I can give him CREATE TABLE, etc., but few things. User JOESNUFFY will get CREATE SESSION and SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE, INSERT on the tables belonging to PURORD, but will not get object privileges CREATE. Joe will connect to the database (through the application) with its JOESNUFFY account.

    It is also a common practice to give human DBA user accounts, real on their part with the role DBA who they are conferred. In this way, they work under their own name. They can be checked. They don't accidentally create objects in the SYSTEM tablespace.

    This may seem excessive for a class situation, but if you don't develop good habits now, you carry bad habits in the workplace and he don't even know until you have opened the way to hell of DBA.
