SQL * PLUS connects with SQL > question

People,

I'm confused on the command. / sqlplus with Oracle database.

According to my understanding,. / sqlplus connected with SQL > using option 3: sysdba, sysoper, sysasm.

I connect with SQL > to run the rel853.sql script to create a table PSOPRDEFN but a field "OPERPSWDSALT" did not appear in the table PSOPRDEFN although it is in the Create Table statement.

I connect with SQL * in the directory/home/user/OracleDB_Home/bin as below:

$ export SYSTEM_PASS = AccessId/mypass

$ export ORACLE_HOME = / home/user/OracleDB_Home

$ export ORACLE_SID = HRCS90

$. / lsnrctl start LISTENER

$. / AccessId/mypass sqlplus as sysdba

SQL > startup

SQL > @/opt/PT8.53/scripts/rel853.sql

SQL > select OPERPSWDSALT in the AccessId.PSOPRDEFN;

It returns: "OPERPSWDSALT": invalid identifier.

I checked the table PSOPRDEFN that the OPERPSWDSALT field did not appear in the table PSOPRDEFN.

I tried the sysoper option as below:

$. / sqlplus AccessId/mypass as sysoper

SQL > startup

SQL > @/opt/PT8.53/scripts/rel853.sql

SQL > select OPERPSWDSALT in the AccessId.PSOPRDEFN;

It returns: "OPERPSWDSALT": invalid identifier.

The sysoper error is the same thing with sysdba error.

I tried the sysasm option as below:

$. / sqlplus AccessId/mypass as sysasm

He returned: connection refused.

Someone told me this connection as SYS causes this error. If not a sysdba, sysoper, or sysasm, use the command. / sqlplus AccessId/mypass cannot connect with SQL >.

My question is:

First of all, why is what OPERPSWDSALT did not appear in the PSOPRDEFN table while it is in the CREATE TABLE statement?

Seocond, if not use SYS which is one of the 3 options, how to run the command. / sqlplus AccessId/mypass to connect with SQL > so that CREATE TABLE PSOPRDEFN correctly?

Thank you.

People,

Hello. Thanks much for the reply. I just do the commands below:

$ export SYSTEM_PASS = AccessId/mypass

$ export ORACLE_HOME = / home/user/OracleDB_Home

$ export ORACLE_SID = HRCS90

$. / lsnrctl start LISTENER

$. / AccessId/mypass sqlplus as sysdba

SQL > show user;

Its release: the USER is "SYS".

SQL > connect AccessId/mypass

Its output:

Error: ORA - 01034:ORACLE not available

ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist

64 - Linux_x86 error: no such file or directory.

As we see above, unable to connect to the Oracle database AccessId.

My question is:

What to do on AccessId, so that it can connect to the Oracle database?

Thank you.

so much for the use that you refuse to actually use COPY it PASTE & so that we can see the whole session.

In the past, you did

> SQL > startup

Maybe the database is out of order & must be started.

do exactly as below (line by line)

ID

sqlplus

/ as sysdba

startup

connect AccessId/mypass

COPY the results from above then PASTE all back here

    Captivate newbie here...

    I am creating a Jeopardy-style quiz in Captivate 3 using random questions that are contained in separate categories for each category of question. The game board is on slide 2, and it has 20 transparent buttons with the 'jump to slide' actions, pointing to a question slide randomly. Random question slides have a "submit" button and a back button, which I intend to provoke a jump behind the game board. The branching tree shows an arrow (black) navigation on slide 2 to each slide of the question and each question slide shows "go to slide 2" actions for success and failure.

    I had hoped that the jump to the game board would be automatic after the user answers the question, but it is not. The previous button on each slide should be used to return to the game board, but sometimes it takes the user to the previous slides, with their questions already answered, and the user must hit the back button several times to return to the game board.

    I used the game Jeopardy downloadable example from this site as a source of inspiration, but it is not really a quiz. In this document, the user enters no answer; Instead, the answer is presented by a rollover.

    So I guess the question is, can use you navigation with random question slides?

    Hi ImagineerBill and welcome to our community

    As you have seen, Captivate is not too bright allowing slides to Question which will be presented in an order any. I know this probably sounds contrary to the work of slides question how randomly. But listen to me please.

    Captivate normally moves from slide to slide in a linear way. This introduces a problem if you want to branch back to a quiz.

    The answer to your real question of ' can you branch from Random Questions ', is that you can. But you should consider how the branch will operate and how this may affect the rating.

    We see a similar problem broke out when you want to have a common slide with many links that can be launched. Often, the person is anxious as the original slide is up to, visited slide is marked somehow as having been opened. And as you have seen, this is exactly how the Jeopardy game. It works by exploiting a bug/feature/callit you want with Captivate. This is the characteristic of a blade retaining the moused State when you have a bearing on it which is associated with a box click object. Because the slide is presenting the reversal as if you were still positioning the mouse over it, it shows the destination has been visited.

    To be honest, I don't know that there is a solution for what you are looking for. Unless you could build the random slides as a series to answer in a specific order, but the random question presents until exhaust you the pool.

    See you soon... Rick

    Hello

    If you type database SID lowercase, try entering ITO uppercase. Strange, but my colleagues and I encounter this behavior several times.

    It is a question of SQL and has nothing to do with the Apex.

  • Install Oracle 64-BIT ODBC connection with vCenter 5.0 question

    I'm running W2K8R2 64 bit and I am trying to connect to an ORACLE DB so I can install vCenter 5.0. I had the Oracle DBA create the DB, then I went into my ODBC on my server vCenter. I tried to create a system DSN and noticed that it there was only the SQL client. No problem, I went ahead and installed the 32 bit ODBC Oracle client\driver.     I went back, but he has not yet shown, after more research, I LEARNED that I had to go to C:\WINDOWS\SYSWOW64 and appear ODBC32. EXE that I did and I was able to connect to the DBs and see my TNS name and test connections with success. I then in vCenter 5.0 installation, but when I got the option to choose between SQL Express and the DSN names, I couldn't see my DB in the fall down... What don't get me?  I'm using using SQL, but the process is OK except that I do not see the DBs when the installation menu of vCenter dropdown, even though I was able to connect successfully to them through ODBC. ??

    In order to get listed in vCenter Server Setup, you must have created a 64-bit DSN, which requires a 64-bit Oracle Client. You can try to create a 64-bit DSN after you install the full client for 64 bit / instant client

  • the basic sql question

    Hi all I have a basic sql question
    Watch below two querries
    1.  select 1 from dual where 1 in (select 1 from dual union all select null from dual)

    It gives output  as 1

    but below one

    2.   select 1 from dual where 1 not in  (select 2 from dual union all select null from dual)

    It gives output as no data found
    I think as operator will not compare with all the values, but not the outcome it will compare with all values... When comparing with the value null, the result is automatically null

    I'm wrong
    Please help me on this

    and why performance wise in operator is more better than no of?

    Thanks to all in advance

  • Question connection with Blast after upgrade to view 6.1.1 ("your office may have a security certificate not approved")

    Hello guys,.

    We are facing a very strange problem with Blast after the upgrade to view 6.1.1. Let me show you the scenario:

    We have two security servers (paired with two servers connection).

    On both servers security (and on the servers of connection), the default self-signed certificate is used.

    Secure Tunnel, PCoIP Secure Gateway and Secure Gateway Blast are activated.

    Users access it from internet via Netscaler which balance the traffic load and present a trusted signed certificate.

    For now I won't go in deeper into the Netscaler configuration, as it was working fine.

    We were on view Horizon 5.2 and everything worked fine! ...

    After the upgrade to view 6.1.1 we are unable to connect using the web browser! We can open a session and select the desktop, but as soon as the connection to the desktop is launched, we receive the following error message:

    "Your Office has been disconnected.

    Try to reconnect to the office...

    Your office can have an untrusted security certificate. Click here to accept the security certificate, then try to connect to your desktop again. »

    error.png

    If we click on the link, we are redirected to something like https://Blast_External_URL:8443/r/F386565D-D068-4AC1-BFD3-3A903CBEB235/certAccept.html , receiving a blank page with the following text:

    "Could not resolve the route of proxy for the request.

    Just before the upgrade, we have been able to use the HTML Protocol! We have does no change at all, so I really think it's related to some changes introduced by the new version of Horizon view, but may not know what is causing the problem.

    No problem connecting with the customer to view Horizon (PCoIP and RDP).

    If in the external URL Blast Secure Gateway, we insert the hostname of the server security instead of the external URL (Netscaler), we are able to connect but of course only from our local network.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Thank you.

    Hi Calyps0Craig,

    Yes, I found a solution for this. In our case the issue was resolved by changing the configuration of Netscaler.

    In the past, we use SSL offloading and worked all protocols. It seems that with the new version of view SSL offloading does more work.

    Change the Service and virtual server on ports 443 and 8443 for SSL to SSL_BRIDGE solved our problem.

    Hope this will help you.

    Best regards

    Claudio

  • Connect with sys as sysdba without entering password everyime.

    Hello

    can someone help me with my question.
    the issue is that I want to connect to sqlplus as the user sys with sysdba previlages and don't want to enter password each time. How can I make this answer kindly.

    I would like to connect to sqlplus as the user sys with sysdba previlages and don't want to enter password each time.

    If your OS username is a member of the OSDBA Group (normally dba on ORA_DBA on Windows, Linux/Unix), you don't need any password (OS authentication):

    $ sqlplus / as sysdba

  • How to activate the connection with sqlplus / as sysdba?

    Hello

    I downloaded the virtual appliance of the developer day since that's Developer Day - hands-on data application development

    Connection with sqlplus sys/oracle as a sysdba work

    But for our scripts, I need to connect to sqlplus / as sysdba (os user's oracle).

    If I try to open a session with / as sysdba I get this:

    [oracle@localhost ~]$ sqlplus / as sysdba

    SQL*Plus: Release 12.1.0.2.0 Production on Tue Nov 3 02:13:34 2015

    ERROR:
    ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

    Enter user-name:

    How can I activate the oracle user to login with / as sysdba?

    Thank you

    Al

    It seems that I found the solution:

    http://www.stojanveselinovski.com/blog/2014/07/07/Oracle-12C-developer-days-VM/

    Very funny this TWO_TASK / ORACLE_SID. :-)

    CurrentY I can connect to sqlplus / as sysdba - I'm going to restore the virtual machine and try again if this is really the solution. :-)

  • Unable to connect with the PS

    Hi people, I am not able to connect with PS/PS in the desingner Data Mover and app. It gives me the error that the user name is not valid. My psdbowner table doesn't have any entry on the owner of my DB even after execution of the dbowner.sql. I tried to update this table, but he gave me the message no lines updates.

    SYSADM is nothing else than an Oracle user, connecting to this user in the Data Mover, it is way bootstrap. PS is different, whether it is an Oracle user, it must be locked, PS is also a user of the application (there are in PSOPRDEFN). This is used when connecting to DMS/AppDesigner.
    1. check the connection properties in the Configuration Manager: connectid = people, connect password = peop1e
    2. try to connect to the database with people and check if you can select tables PSACCESSPRFL, PSOPRDDEFN and PSDBOWNER
    3. from the database, check the owner of the table PSDBOWNER (should be the PS who must be locked).
    And please, try to give the answers to the questions above (which statement update...). If this is a new installation, you missed a few steps, or something went wrong during the initial load (check the log file).

    Due to lack of information, I was going backwards. Fortunately for Hick, Hakan has rightly pointed out the step of the installation. And Yes, PS Oracle user account is locked and nothing wrong to have PSDBOWNER empty at this stage, it is filled when loading the first dms (there is a statement such as INSERT IN PS. PSDBOWNER VALUES...). I think that some of the documents read here should not hurt.

    Sorry, but I'm really sick of people providing information too little (or no information at all) on their situation. I give up this thread.

    Nicolas.

  • Connection with a portfolio of oracle

    Developer SQL supports the connection with the portfolios of the Oracle, more precisely with the secure external password store?

    I tried to use the pilots of the OIC and the type of connection advanced as 'jdbc:oracle:oci:/@db11 '. I'm always invited for a user name and password. I can connect to the database with sqlplus.

    Hi John,.

    It should work. Have you checked the box of OS authentication in the advanced connection type dialog? In sqlnet.ora you define 'SQLNET. WALLET_OVERRIDE = TRUE;

    Here are a few discussions of the prior forum on this issue, with the first being probably the most relevant:

  • Establish a connection with the server

    Hello

    Read the docs and came across two ways to establish a connection with the server of a customer.

    ' (1) easy login:-sqlplus hr@\"//mymachine.mydomain:port/MYDB\.
    (2) name of network service:-sqlplus hr@MYDB.

    While establishing a connection to a server, we use sql * net services (if not jdbc or odbc), which should be present at the server end and the customer. So what is the fundamental difference between the mechanisms of above two connections?

    Thank you and best regards,
