  I hope that you use the correct and just HARD drive password because it of necessary to remove and delete the existing HARD disk password.

I checked the power settings Windows XP and have it put on the desk, with the time 'Disable hard drive' set to 5 minutes when it is plugged and 5 minutes on battery (I always use on the same network). I checked the BIOS settings to see if there is something listed there, but there are no settings for hard disk power management in the BIOS.

  1. remove all cables.
  2 lower the cell next door.
  3. the HARD drive compartment on the side front right / laptop
  4. remove the 2 screws of the HDD bay cover and remove the cover.
  5 remove the 1 screw that secures the HARD drive in place.
  6. gently slide the HARD drive out of the compartment.
  7. slide the new hard drive into the hard drive compartment and replace the 1 screws to secure the HARD drive.
  8 replace the Bay covers and 2 step 4 HARD drive screws.
  9. replace all cables.
